Elpis And Pride: Bonding

A/N: our babies. it's been a while and I wanted them to have a sweet moment. away from the wars, they both lead.

Elpis dropped her high heels onto the floor as she walked towards the large glass window of their hotel room. She had a glass of red wine in her hand and her hair was tied in a tight pink bun. They had just come back from a concerto where Elpis enjoyed herself. After all these millennia humanity transformed into something even more exciting and beautiful than she expected them to be. On top of that, Pride made some efforts today to actually enjoy himself and her company, which didn't go unnoticed by the elder goddess. He followed her closely from behind, his tie was untied and his eyes were intensely staring at the goddess' back that was exposed by the fine skin tight red dress she was wearing. 

She had been smiling all night, mesmerized by the refined taste humans had in music and fine diner. He witnessed her power flares (as he called them when she unintentionally induced Hope in the hearts of men and empowered them), turning the world around them even more beautiful than it actually was. it even started to make him reconsider Earth. For the Sin, it was a dump, filled with bumbling idiots who didn't know anything. It was a place he wanted to destroy from the moment he set foot there, but she made him reconsider that night. Her joy, the rise of power, the near-symbiosis she had with the lower life forms there was pleasant to witness.. but he suspected it was because she smiled a lot, to him. 

He cleared his throat so she would not be startled by him and watched as she crossed her arms and kept her glass of wine in her hand. She felt his arms gently stroking her arms and shoulders and saw his reflection on the glass before her. Tonight they spoke to each other, they talked about Earth, what she had missed, how things have changed and the things they liked. For once, it was not about convincing him to spare mankind, or for her to prove she could be fit to fight his siblings or hers for that matter instead of being locked in the Underworld. They simply talked about them, as individuals and she realized that she could truly ask him anything he would answer as truthfully as he could. Therefore, when he said he wanted to know her better, it made the goddess feel warmer. she held onto his hand, her power flared, bringing warmth to the Sin who held onto her hand tighter as if he didn't want to let go of that warmth. So when he stroked her shoulders, she smiled and leaned into the shoulder as he pulled her into a tight hug. 

"It was a good idea taking you out tonight.." He said, pressing a kiss to her head. She closed her eyes for a brief moment before she took another sip of her glass of wine while admiring the city lights. 

"It was what we needed, Superbia. A moment alone, together." She said, unable to suppress the smile that crept on her lips as she felt his hands rub their way down to her waist. The sin then wrapped his arms around her and pulled her into a tight hug. she wrapped her arms around his and leaned her head against his chest. 

"I promise we'd have more moments like this one..." His eyes flashed purple as he remembered that his own siblings would make it harder for him to fulfill his promise. She looked up to his face and kissed his neck. 

"No promise you can't keep..." She teased him with before she took another sip of her wine. "However, I am excited about our next time together. I know the old you liked to meet me at a natural sanctuary on Earth, but mingling with humans of this era is far more exciting! the clothes, the style, the minds...It felt like a playground for the rusty goddess I am."

Pride grinned and planted a kiss on top of her head before she pulled away from his grip and turned around, facing the sin. He took the pin that held her bun together off of her hair, allowing the long pink strands to fall down her frame and noticed her eyes glow a bright golden colour. Seeing her so carefree was actually reassuring the sin; he was able to observe her, see the mischief in her eyes as she played with humans. See the dark edges of her soul as she encouraged the sin to use his own powers and challenged him. All of this was encouraging, but what was more encouraging was the way she was looking at him. All night long, he could sense her arousal, her desire, and admiration but something else.. something more genuine, something more powerful. he didn't know it yet, but she was falling in love with him and certainly, that night when her gaze changed for something more intense, she already fell for him and he felt it in his essence, but wasn't able to recognize it just yet. He felt her attachment to him, the connection they've established tonight and how warm... that warmth... he stroked her cheek with the cold back of his hand, which elicited a soft moan from the goddess who leaned into his touch and kept her eyes half-closed.

"You're awfully silent tonight Meus Rex..." She whispered, while she emptied her glass and snapped it away.

"I'm admiring the view," he said while looking at her glowing eyes, his purple hues flashed brightly. "You were gorgeous tonight." He said as he lost his hand into her pink locks and quietly curled them into a fist, making her tilt her head to the side and expose her neck.

"Past tense?" -She teased him while a soft moan escaped from her lips. 

"You /are/ gorgeous tonight." He corrected himself, his lips brushing over the sensitive skin of her neck. "What do you say if we keep enjoying tonight, on this very uncomfortable human bed?" She grinned at him as he started to reverse-walk and laid on his back, pulling her on top of him so she could straddle him. The goddess ran her hands over his chest and bent forward so she could look at him with her bright golden orbs. "You are gorgeous, Elpis..."

"And you are... irresistible.." She moaned into his ear before she pecked his nose. The night was young and it brought them together.
