Elpis x Pride : Love grows

Elpis x Pride: Love grows

A/N : Well..... I can't unlove them, you have me spellbound. <3

xxxxxxx

She felt his arms wrap around her waist, in a gesture she didn't imagine he would have towards her, and yet he did. Her golden hues set upon him and she saw a genuine interest in her and her well-being. The goddess had tried her best to accept the fact she would not set a foot on Earth while his siblings were trying to kill him -one battle at a time after all-, but it was beginning to be difficult to handle. She was meant for the overworld, for the sun to warm her skin, for the wind to brush over her face and nature to breathe in. Pride knew it, he understood that she wasn't very happy in the Underworld and he didn't give her any reason for her to be. Busy bee as he was, he barely spent time with her because he fomented plans with Lust but as always, her powerful energy couldn't be missed in the confines of his realm. Regardless of the many hours spent away, still, he was drawn back to her, like she was drawn back to him and he did visit her from time to time.

Today was one of these times, when the mighty king of the Underworld came to visit the bright goddess in the golden -or purple was more accurate- prison. This time, however, felt different. He whispered in her ear that he brought a present for her, something he had not done before and before she could ask what it was, the sin had wrapped his arms around her frame. She was beautiful in this moment when confusion and excitement lightened up her face. She was beautiful at this moment when she was looking at him as if he was the eighth wonder of the whole Universe -he was-. Suddenly, he had her undivided attention and that made him grin. Slowly, but surely, he snapped his fingers and covered her room with Green. He had brought a piece of Earth to her chambers, since she wasn't able to go to Earth and with the help of spells had created a microcosm in her room, allowing life to thrive. From the small fishes in the little pond, he created, to a lovely golden cage where two birds were freely singing and playing with each other. The gift was grand, as grand as Pride was and the unique look in her face was worth the efforts he made.

« Your grace... »

She was beautiful at that moment, when gratitude softened her features and something else he couldn't decode filled her eyes. He was still holding her since he realized her legs went weak at the sight of his feat and she held him tighter. How perfect he was at this moment when her bumblebee eyes set upon him. She felt her heart miss a heartbeat or maybe a thousand at this moment but didn't care because, for the first time since she came back, he did something « for her », without her asking for it. Her warm hand cupped his cold face and she gently stroked it, a smile on her plump lips. How perfect he was at this moment when her arms were holding him as tight as she could. Elpis didn't want to let go of him, not when her heart was out of control. From missing a few heartbeats, it started to beat harder and harder, literally pounding into her chest as she realized she didn't want him to leave. Not now, not ever. Was she falling in love? Yet, it wasn't that « big » of a deal. It wasn't as grandiose as when she first met him. There was something sweeter, softer, calmer about the way her heart was beating. It wasn't the deceptive flames of passion, but the rich soil of true love. She was falling for him, and as he put his larger hand over hers, she gave him the warmest smile she could and pressed her lips to his, in a soft and sweet kiss.

Doya : A song a day keeps the doctor away

A/N : Just thinking of our babies. I wanted something sweet for a change.

Xxxxxxx

Oya walked quietly to the living room where Dean and Sam were. She was wearing Dean's shirt and a pair of boxers and her freshly washed hair was sticking to her face and neck. She tilted her head to the side as she saw Dean holding a guitar in his hand and excitedly sat in the leather chair next to the couch. She waved at both brothers and grinned with that typically excited grin of hers that made Dean curb a brow in a fake annoyed look. They seemed to be relaxed, which encouraged the petite ebony hunter to relax as well. Dean was holding a guitar, which wasn't that strange considering his love for music. Oya always suspected he knew how to play at least one instrument and Chuck proved her right, which made her grin even wider.

« What's that? »

« A guitar, O. » Dean said as he looked at her with a smirk on his lips.

« I can see very well that it is a guitar, I meant... what's that for? » Oya crossed her arms above her chest and furrowed her brows.

« Playing it? » -He teased her with while he strummed a few cords. Oya lips twitched and she chuckled softly.-

« I know what a Guitar's for. I was just wondering. I've never seen you play anything here. »

« Perhaps I wanted it to change. » -Sam rolled his eyes and spat the truth.-

« He wanted to surprise you with his brand new guitar. He knows you love music. He also is very good at it, so here you are. »

«Aaaawww... you wanted us to create a band! » Oya teased him and chuckled as Dean's attempt at being snarky backfired thanks to his little brother.

« Would you look at that? Oya has a comeback! »' He said, strumming again. Oya rolled her eyes and puffed her cheeks with air. « I'm teasing ya. Sammy's half right. You inspired me when you danced last time. You had us try something we rarely do, so I wanted to try something I rarely do. »

« You literally, sing every single fucking day of this fucking Earth. » Oya pointed out and ran her hand through her hair. « However... you could do the guitar playing and I could do the singing. » She suggested, offering a coy smile while Dean grinned widely.

«Or... you could just shut up and let me try something. »

Before she could say something he strummed again and started to play a tune. Oya swallowed her words and gently swung her head as she listened to the tune. It was something she didn't know and her big hazel eyes stared at Sam with a question in them. Did he know? Sam shook his head and shrugged his shoulder as he didn't know the tune either, which had her grow curious. It was beautiful, light, positive even and filled with love. There was no word sung but the song spoke to Oya on a spiritual level. Dean was speaking to her, not with his words but with music. She could feel the emotions he wouldn't share with her, the concern he had for her, space she was taking in his life and in his heart, how important she was to him. It was one of those beautiful country songs that would talk about a happy childhood or a wild and free stallion let loose on the countryside or when you met that woman you knew would be /the one/. It was a happy song that talked a lot and Oya found herself curled on her chair, with both arms wrapped around her knees.

Her hazel gaze changed into something sweeter as she was looking at him, engrossed by the tune he just made for her. Sam grinned, still flipping the pages of the spellbook she offered him last year and watching as her enamored gaze was set upon his older brother. He knew of their bond, hell, even Castiel knew about their bond and while he had never truly thought of it, (because of how obvious it was for him), having them both in the same room, with a relaxed Dean playing her guitar and a smitten Oya staring at him had him think about them in a new light. He liked it, he liked that Dean -despite carrying the whole world on his shoulders- had found someone who could understand him in this world. Dean found someone who was willing to give everything for him and who thought of him as her whole world. Sam noticed how comfortable his brother was with Oya, to the point of joking around, playing guitar, working cases with her. Dean was living, no, he was enjoying life. It occurred to Sam that Oya truly found her place here, since she both stopped running away, and was comfortable enough to casually walk in and sit by the brothers. Simple gestures, the biggest meaning. She was home, with both brothers, she was home and so was he. Sam smiled to himself as he realized just how much he loved this little gremlin and didn't want this «slice of peace » to vanish with her. Just like Charlie, she took a big space in his heart, and just like Kevin, she became family. He wouldn't want anything to happen to her, and while he knew some sinister thoughts crawled at the back of his head, today was a day to celebrate and enjoy. Oya was here, alive and happy. Oya was there... Oya was Home.

Bäahal x Jaime :

Bäahal x Jaime :

A/N: Aftermath of our last conversation. I felt so bad for both of them. All I want is that they find a way to get better. </3. it was so brutal. (but so good! only you can make it good like that) <3 I love you

xxxxxxxxx

« You're nothing! » Words kept echoing through the princess' ears as she closed the door behind her. « You're just a self-entitled princess », each and every word felt like a knife that stabbed through her heart. « I want you gone. » She took a couple steps forward, taking herself as far as she could from the knight's room. She held her belly, the fingers sunk into the light fabric of her dress as she tried to run away from the Knight's room. She knew he wouldn't welcome her with open arms. How could he, when all she was when he looked at her was what he lost? The princess felt her heart pound harder and faster against her ribcage and moved the hand on her belly up to her chest where she clenched her fingers harder. She couldn't breathe, she needed air, so she opened the window of the hallway and coughed as hard as she could.

As fresh air filled in her lungs, she felt the tears she had been holding back roll down her cheeks. It was extremely violent, disturbing even. She met a man who was an empty shell. She saw a man who was devastated and looked nothing like he used to. His hair grew long and thin, his beard was thick and untrimmed. His eyes were lifeless and tired. He had lost weight, so much weight that you wouldn't believe he was a knight if you didn't know him before. There was nothing left of Jaime Lannister, not even his pride. Bäahal wiped the tears that fell on her cheeks, her groans cut through her sobs as frustration took over her pain. He had broken, her heart, shook it hard enough to force her into a deep reflection. Why was she here? He asked her. Why was she here? What could she possibly give him?

Her tears flooded on her face, blurring her vision as she was wondering if she took the right decision to come here. Leaving King's landing had always been something the princess wanted. She wasn't made for all the political tapestry that was taking place there. She wasn't made to give military advice to her sister, Daenerys didn't need her presence anyway. She had Tyrion, Jon... any other person who would give her sound advice on how to lead Westeros and the Seven Kingdoms. Bäahal wouldn't be able to, she didn't even know what she was. She didn't even know who she was, so how could she find her place there? Leaving was a personal journey, an attempt at finding the answer to this simple question: Who am I? Leaving was also motivated by one thing and one thing only: Finding Jaime Lannister.

Why  was that? Well, she cared for the knight. Maybe too much. Lord Tyrion and Lord Varys before he was killed warned her about being attached to the knight. They told her that he would break her heart, that he was only Cersei's and would never be able to care for anyone else. They told her that he would destroy her any chance he got and she would be left with nothing but a shattered heart. She should have listened to them, if only she had, she wouldn't be crying her heart out at Riverrund after seeing Jaime now that the Last War was over. Yet here she was. Yet here were her tears. Yet here lied her broken heart.

Cersei did take everything from him. There was no denying it. He believed so strongly that he should have died alongside her that she recognized guilt in his voice as he spewed his venom. She realized he wanted to die, but couldn't take his life because that wasn't who he was. He couldn't commit suicide. There was a chance to save him. There was a chance to take him out of this room, take him with her. Jaime was made for traveling on horseback, helping people and while she knew that most of Westeros hated him and his family for what Tywin, Cersei and to some extent, Joffrey did, there was still a chance for redemption. There was still a chance. But did she do it because she wanted him to redeem himself? Of course not. She wanted to see him again. She wanted to Jaime she used to know to come back. That man was proud, confident, extraordinary. He blew her mind when they met and he gave her a purpose, a reason to keep going.

Deep down, she knew she was motivated by something else. Something she could never fully explain, nor acknowledge. She knew that she had dreamed of the day she would face him again, where he would stroke her cheek, where he would hold her in his arm. She had dreamed of the day she would kiss his lips, let her fingers into his blonde mane... The memories were flooding her mind but she shook her head as hard as she could while her other hand covered her mouth to muffle the sob she wanted to let escape. It couldn't be. It could never be. The princess started to sob harder, keeping a hand over her mouth as hard as she could so no one could hear her scream in the dead of the night. His words hurt, worse than the tortures she suffered from when she was still a slave. His words pierced through her heart ripped it open and made her bleed and the pain she felt refused to end, no matter how hard the sobs, or strong the tears, she was still hurt. « I want you gone » He yelled, « Even Cersei didn't want me. I had nothing, even before the war was over. » he said in a broken voice « I had nothing then, and I have nothing now... » How could she help him? How could she help her?

She calmed down after a while, she lost count of the minutes spent crying at the window but remembered when a servant came to collect her for dinner. She cleaned her face and walked to the dining room where Lord Bronn, his wife, and a couple more guests were waiting for her. Bäahal remained silent for a while, doing her best to avoid eye contact while the guests went on and on about the new queen and the new order she wanted to set. She couldn't listen to a single word in the humdrum of the dining room because her mind was focused on Lord Jaime and the terrible moment she'd just experienced. She tried to rationalize it, to understand why he was acting this way... well, it was simple, he had lost everything. He was a man down, in need for a reason to keep going and she was going to give it to him. She told the knight -former knight- that she was looking for him and although she didn't have all the needed answers, she knew she would stay until he was fit enough to ride a horse and go with her. She wouldn't give up on him, because despite his claims, he still had not given up. He could have killed himself but didn't. He could have starved himself or let Bronn shove food down his throat but he still ate. He still bathed and still kept a minimum of a clean appearance. He wasn't done yet.

So she had to hold onto it.
She must.
She would.

(SOA): The queen and King are back.
A/N: Finally xD
xxx
She didn't believe it when the sons started to celebrate and excitedly started to decorate and clean around. She didn't believe it when the pretty pistons came to her and asked for her help. "a homecoming ceremony"? really? Abel and Thomas were all over the place, excited beyond reason because they were told their father was coming home. Everyone was agitated, but amidst the chaos, there was some order. everyone knew what to do and how to do it. Everyone except Asma.
She had issues digesting what happened a few months ago, with Jessica disappearing and nobody telling her shit about it. She had issues going to prison to visit Blondie. Her tears couldn't be contained, her fears were plastered all over her face, but she held on, she smiled. however fake that smile was, she still smiled.
Tig wasn't around, he sometimes stopped by, but she could tell by the face he made that something important was to happen. Maybe he was involved in the neighboring towns' mayhem that was broadcasted all over the news. Maybe he was just conducting business as usual..; she had no clues and it was starting to become overwhelming. How could she marry a man who would keep her in the dark regarding his activities? why were they treating her like a kid? she didn't agree with it, not anymore and plenty of times, she had packed her bags and tried to leave.
To no avail.
She didn't want to leave. She never wanted to leave. So she found herself sitting in her bedroom, with her bags almost ready to go and tears on her face. she ended up crying because that was the only sane thing she could do during all this madness. Jessica's whereabouts were uncertain, she didn't call, she never texted... part of Asma knew she came back to do business...she knew. that part wasn't a problem. what was an issue was the level of danger she didn't know. Just how dangerous was the job? what chances did she have to come back alive? How could ASma lie to the kids when she didn't know if their mom would come back alive?
Not knowing was driving her crazy and upon learning that the queen and the king would come back, she couldn't really explode with joy. she wanted to, she wished she could just put a smile on her face and pretend that the past couple of months were easy peasy... but she couldn't lie.
"Bella?" -Tig's voice almost made her scream since she did not hear him come home.- "What's all this? you wanted to leave?"
"Even if I wanted to leave, I just can't. How can you call me your old lady if I know nothing? If you push me away from your actual life?"
"We talked about this, Bella." -he was firm in his tone. they had this conversation over and over again. she should know by now that he didn't want to involve her in the club's activities. she had enough on her plate as it was-
"I know.....We did." She sighed and wiped the tears off of her face. She knew he would want to talk about the bags, but today wasn't the right moment to talk about it. Tig would have to wait. "Where is Jessica?"
"Her place." He watched as she stood up and grabbed her purse. "I won't let you drive when you're shaking like that."
"I do what I want!" Asma replied, wiping her face clean. "And right now, I have to go see her and tell her my two cents..."
"Jax is coming home today. don't go there and ruin the mood."
But she wasn't listening anymore. Tig thought she would be happy to see him, he wished she would be but she didn't even acknowledge his presence. He wanted to talk about the bags, about her desire to leave and the sadness that laced her voice when she said she didn't feel welcome. he knew she hated the situation but feared she would not want him anymore. She rushed to her car and drove to JJ's home where everyone was busy preparing for the party. She waved at everyone, but her eyes scanned the place in search of the brunette and when chocolate locks finally popped near Ava and Abel, Asma simply walked closer.
Jessica was helping her little girl put her shoes on while keeping an eye on the youngest boy when she heard the familiar steps. Abel pointed at Asma with the big smile he always had when he saw her and Winston rushed to rub his body against her legs. It was Asma, no doubt about it.
"Asma..." Her voice was laced with apologies because she knew it was the least she could do to soothe her sister's heart.
"You're home." Was all Asma could say before she unclenched her fists and dropped her shoulders. "You're home," she repeated to herself. the heavyweight she had been carrying for months finally made itself felt and while extreme joy could be read on her face, she was devastated. Abel gently patted the stairs so Asma could join them there but Jessica stood up.
"I am. I'm home now." Her cerulean eyes were shifting from left to right as she wasn't sure she could face her sister, but she had to, so she turned around. "I'm sorry. I know you're hurt because of me... but I'm home now."
She didn't wait for an answer and wrapped her arms around Asma's frame to pull her into a tight hug. At first, Asma struggled against it, she was upset, confused, sad but relieved and that had her wrap her arms around Jessica's waist. Her sister was back, and alive. and while there would be a moment to sit and talk about what happened, and why she kept her in the dark for so long, today was about celebrating. so they were going to celebrate. The Queen and King of Charming were back home today.

elpis x pride: lovely october

Elpis had spent the last couple of days lost into the memories shared with the departed. Her beloved siblings who were mercilessly killed by their own sister, Ayasha the goddess of knowledge. This was war. the pure essence of it where the ones who stood could be the ones who laid on the floor, the very next day. It had to happen, it was to be expected from her sister, who was so thirsty for power that she didn't think of the impact all and any of her actions might have.

Khrön and Sitäa were more than siblings. They were her first supporters. From the day she started to breathe to the moment she fell in love with Pride. -the old version-. Both of them had tried to make her happy and allowed her to leave the Eternal Pantheon and visit Earth, even when her siblings were looking. They sacrificed their lives to ensure her safety, at least, until Pride broke her curse and took her divine body down to the Underworld. They protected her.

And still, to this day, Elpis remembered their screams of agony. She could still feel the way their souls got consumed as they were thrown into oblivion. She could still feel the shivers and despair she felt when they died. Taken away by her very enemy. The thought enraged the goddess, it made her blood boil, it made her insides churn... it brought tears to her eyes, horrendous tears that creased her perfect face with black ink...Elpis was enraged and she needed to bathe on Ayasha's body as soon as possible. revenge demanded it. her soul demanded it.

xxx

The Superbia she used to know was no more. The king is dead, long live the king! no, wait. He didn't die as a king. He died as Hades' plaything. As soon as Hades heard about Elpis. However, he was reborn as a king. Could we even say that being remade was the best thing to ever happen to the sin? Probably...

Elpis realized that the life she led before was partly a lie. one that was fed to her, where it was convenient for her siblings and parents to keep her under neat wraps and make sure she would never reach her true potential. It also was a lie she told herself, about Superbia being in love with her, for she desperately needed to be loved. to have someone who saw her for who she was and still loved her nonetheless. Pride did notice something inside the goddess, the growing darkness within her, the raw power she wasn't aware of. he saw what she could become and who she really was but she wasn't aware of this... no, she had to be tested first, pushed beyond reason... betrayed and cursed to finally have her potential revealed. He set her free, but the goddess he freed wasn't the little girl she used to be before. she was a woman, an empress, his future queen.

Well, the future queen. it was to be earned, she had to work for the title and despite the rocky beginning, she enjoyed the challenge. her love for Pride, that old fuel that allowed for the goddess to survive 2000 years locked in human vessels had run out. something new was born, something fresh and true. something for the creature before, the one known as Pride. And if asked why, she would simply reply "he was all seven of the deadly sins".....

baahal and jaime: fucking fate

She imagined their reunion, once, twice, several times a day. She dreaded the moment she would face Jaime Lannister. What would he say? how would he welcome her? would he ever forgive her for the decisions taken by her sister? would he make her pay for something she had no control over? her heart always beat hard, it pounded against her ribcage as if it was trying to set free. Bäahal wanted to see him.

He was the reason she left King's landing after all. the hidden meaning of her departure. while she did need to run away from the political tapestry she didn't feel she belonged to, she also needed to find him. Find him... comfort him. but how could he react upon seeing her? how could he react? She expected rejection and frankly wasn't really sure she was ready to face him again.

That would be a fight, she was certain of it, but a fight between a broken heart and a heart in shambles. the fight between someone who lost everything, including himself and someone who was looking for herself. Maybe that was Fate...Fucking Fate.

Ayasha x Elpis: Illusions

The goddess of knowledge laid on her back, the golden locks of her perfect face crowned her head and her emerald eyes stared at the ceiling of her bedroom. Ever since the sin broke her sister's curse and set the goddess free, Ayasha had been restless. She knew Elpis and part of her was terrified of the outcome of such a rage if let loose. Elpis destroyed a full and powerful pantheon in a moment of rage, precipitating the end of the attached civilization. She was capable of feats and wonders no one actually was aware of but Ayasha was no fool. She knew that her sister would come back and destroy what was left of their family. Well, was she fair?

Ayasha couldn't find sleep at night. She dreaded the return of her sister and hallucinated her some times. Elpis had a thousand ways to enter this room but Ayasha always imagined her walk into her bedroom with a stone-cold face. She would have been wearing an elegant white gown similar to the ones she used to wear before. Ayasha saw the pink locks float around her sister as if they were animated by their own will and it made the goddess of knowledge sitting on the bed. She brought her legs up to her face and wrapped her arms around her knees in a defensive mode.

« Why are you here? » -Her voice shook and she tried to swallow a lump.-

« Why am I here? Listen to yourself, Ayasha, you are ridiculous. »

'Elpis' walked towards the bed and stopped a few inches away from it. She was small and yet she felt bigger than Ayasha remembered.

«Ridiculous? You were supposed to be dead. You were supposed to be cursed for all eternity. You weren't supposed to be free. »

« Aaawww Is that doubt I see on your face? » She teased, her hands gracefully were placed on her waist as she tilted her head tot he side and curled her lips into a mocking grin.

« I have no doubt! I know exactly what I have to do. » She spat at the hallucination. She curled her fingers into fists and furrowed her blonde brows. « Everything was perfect. My plan was perfect. I had you out of the way, cursed or dead it didn't matter to me because you were supposed to remain locked away for all eternity. I had killed your supporters, I had taken away anyone who could have wanted to set you free. »

The hallucination chuckled and shook her head. Ayasha knew very well that the sight she had before he was a figment of her imagination, A test of some sort. She tucked some blonde hair behind her ear and shook her head.

« You still can't handle the fact I am free, now can you? » She grinned widely and walked closer to the blonde goddess who recoiled at the end of the bed and his her back against the wall. « You can't handle the fact that your plan wasn't perfect, that you didn't take everything into consideration. The love Ishtar had for me... the desire to see me again, that would animate Pride. The fact that I left a deeper impact on others than you thought I did. »

« You are nothing! You are nothing Elpis but a child! You knew nothing. You still know nothing. »

Ayasha hated to sound of the hallucination, the nasty words that came out of her lips were echoes of her own thoughts. Yes, how could she plan something and not take into consideration the fact Ishtar could never be able to kill the one he was in love with? Her plan was flawed from the beginning and while it could make it difficult for her to ensure her victory, Ayasha still was resourceful and would find a way to triumph. Her goal was neat and clean and simple, she wanted to rule the whole galaxy. She wanted to prove that knowledge was far stronger than brute strength or an insane amount of power like her siblings had. Knowledge was power and her hallucinations were simply her doubts manifesting into the people she hated the most. Elpis smirked and crossed her legs as she sat on the bed.

« Riddle me this, Ayasha. If I know nothing, if I am nothing, how come you are still scared of me? » She lifted her head and grinned as Pride's silhouette appeared beside her. His hand wrapped around her shoulder and he squeezed quietly.

« I am not scared of you. » -Pride hues turned purple and Ayasha swallowed a hard lump.-

« You are trembling because you know of his power. You've done your research, you know how powerful he is and how he treats those who angers him. »

« I am not afraid of him. » -She asserted with a frown on her face.-

« Then you are afraid of me. It makes sense. You have never truly seen what I was capable of, you don't know how far I can go and you fear my wrath. »

She crawled onto the bed, and stopped a few inches away from Ayasha who let a scream out of her thin lips. It was worse because it was true. She did not know what Elpis was capable of, and the fact to be left in the unknown was eating the goddess away. It was driving her crazy with fear and anticipation. Pride, in himself, wasn't that difficult to understand. He was meant to destroy, he was meant to be a nefarious solution to the problem gods were.... but what of a vengeful goddess ?? what about the one who destroyed a full pantheon -all-father and all- out of anger?-, what could she do to a sister who betrayed her, killed their beloved father, cursed her for eternity and killed the only siblings who loved her ? The pink-haired goddess would definitely want to make an example of her and it was that fear that kept Ayasha from sleeping at night.

« I will destroy you, Elpis... I will destroy you, I swear. »

« I'll wait for you to come and get me....Until then, you're the one who's having nightmares, not me. Not me... »She vanished alongside with her sin.

Alone, the golden goddess sighed and ran her hands through her golden lock. She ran both hands into her hair and started to curl into a ball. Hallucination or not, deep down, the goddess of knowledge was scared. She realized that her plan had already been thwarted once and could go sideways if she didn't pay attention. She was the goddess of knowledge, she was to rule the universe. She was to win.... she had to keep her mind focused on her goal. She had to. She would.

Doya : I can't do this without you.

Doya : I can't do this without you.

A/N : our babies. I'm taking them to the place where the second plot is happening. So we're slowly getting there. <3

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

«Oya? »

Dean called out as he opened the door to the motel room they were renting. They arrived late at night,  so the only thing they could do was grab as much sleep as they could before investigating the Thomas' case. Oya dreaded the visit to the hospital. She knew Joshua's life was in danger and he probably might die in the following days. Sarah would be there, waiting, anxious, and probably torn between the joy to see Oya and the fear of losing her brother.

«Oya? » -Dean called again, this time in a more insisting tone. She wasn't in the bedroom and there was no sound in the bathroom. He walked closer to the bathroom after he put their burgers on the bed they shared and drew his angel blade out. « Oya, answer me. » He commanded this time as he reached the bathroom's door.

« I'm here. » She let out an exhausted voice. « Come in. » She invited him over. Dean sighed in relief and entered the bathroom. Oya had already taken her shower, her skin had not dried yet, so droplets of warm water were running over her smooth cocoa skin. Her hair was wet and stuck to her face, neck and shoulder blades. She was staring at her own reflection on the mirror. Her lips were trembling, her fingers were clenched onto the sink and she shut her eyes tight as Winchester opened the door.

« You scared me. » He acknowledged. « I thought you were gone. »

« I'm many things, Dean Winchester, but I wouldn't leave you alone. » She said, slowly opening her hazel eyes again and staring at her own reflection.

« How long have you been staring at yourself? » He asked, as he came behind her and stroked her shoulders. The petite ebony hunter shrugged and leaned into his touch.

« Long enough...Long enough to... » She bit her bottom lip and dropped her head. «...Think. Long enough to think. I am not sure I will have enough strength to see Joshua and face Sarah. »

« I know. That's why I'm here. » Dean said, planting a kiss at the top of her head. « So you won't be doing that alone. »

« They need me. They need me to be stronger than I actually feel. Sarah needs me to walk in, be confident in my ability to find what happened and punish who did this. She needs me to stay strong while she breaks down. I will never be able to... » She sobbed and whipped the tears off of her face with the back of her hand. « I can't.....go to the hospital tomorrow. » She said, shaking her head at her own words.

« Yes you can. Yes, you will. Oya, you are strong. Stronger than I can ever be. » She nodded, while she kept whipping her tears off of her face. « You've faced worse. You've survived it. »

« I had to. » She whispered and put her hands over his. «  I can't help but think that it is unfair it happened to Joshua. » Dean sighed.

« He knew the risks when he started and he still kept going. He enjoyed his life, Oya, you can't take that away from him. He had the life he wanted to lead. »

« I know... » She said, still sobbing. Dean turned her around so he could face her. Oya lifted her head and stared at his emerald eyes. « I know it's Hunter's life... I know we can't choose the way we go, but losing him... losing him...I don't want to lose him.. I don't want to lose you. »

There she went! He knew that what bothered Oya the most, was that any of them could die while working a case. Both shared the same sacrificial lamb complex where they would give their lives to protect mankind and all life on Earth. How many times did Dean accept a deal with an archangel or Lucifer even, or a deity if that allowed for mankind to survive? How many times did he give his life for the well-being of others? Oya knew he would never hesitate and while she trusted him to come back to her after he worked a case without her, there was still the risk of him not coming back. It was the job, after all, there always was a risk he would die, whether that was because of a stronger enemy or his goddamn sacrificial lamb complex.

So it kept her on edge. It kept him on edge too. Dean had already seen her in action, ready to take a bullet or to die for him. He literally heard her scream this to a powerful witch they were fighting. The Winchester was incapacitated, but he saw the determination in the eyes of the ebony hunter and he knew she would follow through with her plan to die. Both lectured the other in moments like these, in order for their partner to know how much they cared for them and how far they would go for the other. Both tried to make the other promise they would never sacrifice their lives for the greater good. They wanted to make sure their partner knew they never had to feel alone because they weren't, they would never be alone because they had each other.

« You're not going to lose me. » His voice was assertive as if he was trying to say that they would not lose the other. He refused to imagine how life would be without Oya. There were close calls when she almost died and he imagined how life would be when she's gone. She refused to imagine a world where Dean wasn't there. There were close calls when Dean allowed an angel to use him as a vessel in order to protect mankind from a devastating scourge. She felt helpless as she saw Dean's body slowly become another person's.

« I can't do this without you, Dean. » She finally admitted.

She might have been strong, the ebony hunter had reached her limits there. Her lips started to tremble harder as she was thinking of the hospital and a devastated Sarah who counted on her. She couldn't bail on her friends, her family.. she had to be there.

« I know. » He wrapped his strong arms into an embrace and pulled her towards his stronger frame, so she would feel his comforting presence. His arms kept stroking the soft wet skin of her back and his lips pressed kisses to her forehead and neck. He got her back. He felt her body relax against his and her arms wrap around his frame to pull him into a tight embrace. « I've got you. » He repeated to her ear, making her relax some more. She wasn't alone after all. He was there with her. It was all the strength she needed.
