Doya: Scars

Oya stood before the mirror and looked at her body. She ran her fingers over the scars on her forearms. Her body was a testament to the dangers she'd encountered over the years. She took bites from werewolves, claws from monsters,  bullets, and knives from humans. She could tell a story about each and every scar on her body. Her fingers traced the deep scars on her arms. The Asambosam, her archnemesis for years. Her recklessness almost cost her her life and these scars were a reminder of that. Grief... Grief was the reason for her lack of thought. She wanted to die during battle and join her family as fast as she could. She wanted to die or at least that was what she thought until she got hurt. Dean was there and he reminded her that there was more to life than what she thought. She had a reason to keep going. She had a reason to stay alive: HIM.  

Oya was still uncomfortable at times when staring at her scars. How could Dean still find her attractive with those ugly reminders of her recklessness? He always managed to soothe her heart and help her deal with her insecurities. Dean loved her, scars or not, he only saw a badass woman.... yes, he saw a beautiful woman. She felt her heartbeat go faster as her fingers traced the gunshots on her taut belly and the knife scars that decorated her skin. She let her fingers grab a few brown locks and slowly played with them. She twirled them in her fingers for a moment before she dropped her hands alongside her body.  There was always a reminder of how harsh the reality was. Oya was still plagued with nightmares, familiar situations that became so real over time that it became hard to distinguish between reality and the dream world. Oya was scared to lose Dean, Castiel, or Sam during a mission. She didn't want harm to come their way but she knew that in the line of their work, it was most likely a possibility. Headcanon: Sam Winchester

Sam and Oya managed to build a very strong relationship over the years. He still calls her "Gremlin" as her endearing nickname but it refers to her energy and the implacable determination she has.  He has always considered her as a sister, but it became even truer when she and Dean got together.

Sam trusts Oya with his life. She has always been willing to go above and beyond for him and almost lost her life for h im several times. She is also very concerned with his love life and sometimes gives Sam some pieces of advice. She's very invested in his love story with Eileen and through a lot of conversation, convinced Sam to give into the woman he wants.

He is very happy that she officially became family. He has always rooted for them both because he saw how happy Dean was with her and still is. He would never let any harm come her way and would fight anyone who would have a say about Dean's choice of partner.

Headcanon: Marriage

Well, Oya has been engaged in the past, so it's not something that scares her. she just didn't think about it once she set foot in America.  After years of spending time with the Winchesters and finding a family in Team Free Will, Oya is now comfortable again with the idea of having a Family and being a wife. She is planning to propose to Dean someday, in the most Doya way, which means,  without any artifices and games. Just casually talking about wanting to share her life with him. The life they have right now. An Apple Pie Life.

Headcanon: Heartbreak

Oya has had her fair share of pain. It's actually been a long string of disappointment, heartbreak, and loss. She had to watch one too many people die on her watch. She had watched her former fiancé fall out of love with her because she couldn't have children anymore. She had to kill him with her own bare hands once he became possessed by a demon. She nearly lost her life too while fighting the demon that killed her family, but Dean came in and rescued her. Oya wears scars on her arms, as a reminder of her recklessness and of everything she's lost. 

Oya used to be a daredevil. She used to be a death-seeker who couldn't see past her revenge. She is not very good at hiding her emotions from her family but any other stranger would be fooled. They would not have her tears or her nightmares. They wouldn't be able to tell just how much pain she went through. Dean would because Dean went through his own heartbreaks. He knows the job, he knows the loss. He knows everything she's been through because he went through the same. He would notice her sadness and he would know when to come and soothe her. 

These days, what hurts her the most is the fact she doesn't remember the faces and the voices of her loved ones. She feels guilty because to her it is as if she had forgotten about them and betrayed them. So it hurts, but she doesn't speak about it unless Dean is asking.

Dean waited for Oya to leave the gas-station shop with food and drinks while he refueled Baby's tank.  They have been through quite a lot together, yet this last case was rough for the pair. Pluto, the pagan god they faced lately, had been quite a challenge to say the very least. First, he would have killed Oya if Castiel hadn't teleported to her location. He induced fear into both of their hearts, fear of losing their loved ones, fear of dying and leaving them behind, and fear of not being able to save the world. Pluto had it right. He tapped into this world's worst behaviors and desires to strengthen himself. People easily followed him, and in order to weaken the god, they had to sever his connection with humans.  Their small circle grew larger with the intervention of Rowena, Crowley, and a plethora of hunters which culminated in a very intense fight against the god. They killed him, but they were badly hurt as expected. They killed him and they were able to put his existence behind them. Oya managed to overcome her stress and fear. She managed to regain her confidence, slowly, but surely and felt more like herself since his death. She felt vindicated, so what was a wound on her belly? Just another scar to prove she lived and survived to tell the tale. Dean managed to survive a shoulder wound and was able to put that whole case behind him.

Rowena and Crowley betrayed them, as expected but in the end, Dean and Oya survived together. They always did but this time more than the others, the Winchester was relieved that they managed to survive together. This case had him worried because he could have genuinely lost her and it forced him to reconsider his connection to that woman. He loved her. He needed her. He refused to live in a world where she wouldn't be. Dean had lost so many people in life that he knew that he couldn't survive one more. Oya had been in his life for years now, she shared his life, she shared his bed, she shared his heart and because she did, he couldn't afford to lose her. Pluto brought that fear back up in his mind. He almost made it real and the very fact that they managed to survive with just a couple wounds, was a miracle. She was his miracle. Come to think of it. She was his miracle. Oya loved him for who he was, without conditions, without limits, without demands. She loved him and she wanted to build a life with him. How could he want to be away from the woman he loved?  Pluto made him realize how much he loved her, but the sight of her walking toward him made him fall in love with her again.

Doya: It was over // We found love

"A pagan god. It was nothing but a pagan god with an uncanny determination. He wreaked havoc wherever he went. He nearly killed Oya -and would have succeeded if Castiel didn't have some power left to teleport to her-. He nearly drove the world to an edge and he forced Team Free Will to strike an alliance with uncanny allies. A pagan god did it. he managed to empower Rowena and give an edge to Crowley, everything that Oya feared came true.  Everything that Dean, Sam, and Castiel had anticipated, came true. They were betrayed but they were alive. Pluto was killed by Dean, and the world was safe.  The battle left some scars on their bodies, Dean suffered a shoulder injury, Oya had some new scars on her arms and legs, and Sam and Castiel also had to nurse some injuries but they were alive. Nobody died. Nobody died."
