GOT regular: To become better.

Since the betrayal and the siege she had to endure, the princess was determined to become even better at fighting with swords. She demanded to be trained by the swordmaster of the Red Keep to maintain her sharp reflexes. She needed to be ready in case something similar was to happen to her and she decided to take advantage of the fact she was thought to be dead to actually strengthen up. Jaime encouraged her to resume training, thinking that it was a good idea and would prove useful as time went by. He couldn't train her completely as he wished to do, but he could always help her correct her stance, and teach her fighting strategies (especially spatial awareness and the use of her surroundings during a fight).

Being unable to actually teach her how to fight had been a point of tension between the knight and the princess because he was painfully aware of his disability.  He couldn't wield his sword like he used to and it pained him to have to rely on someone else to do it. Bäahal understood and she tried to comfort her betrothed the best way she knew of. She had always known a maimed Jaime and even then, when they first met, she thought he was a hardened warrior. Missing a hand, being half-blind, or even old were never disqualifying, but he would rather have her be trained by someone else than not trained at all. So here she was, standing tall before her swordmaster, determined to become better and stronger so she could protect those who would need it the most. She was already thinking about what was coming next. Lady Kyra would need some help with the noble houses. If she wanted to help her friend, she had to be better. She would be better.

GoT: She was stubborn

She was stubborn, a rare quality of hers. She was endearing, mostly because the young woman had come a long way from the reserved, guarded and cold person she used to be at Mereen. She opened up to the world, slowly but surely stepped out of her shell. She embraced Life and everything it had to offer, from the joy of having family and friends, to the sadness of having one's heart broken. She experienced everything and found her strength and purpose as time went by.

She preserved her innocence. Her life might have started with blood, tears, and pain, but the princess managed to keep a loving heart. She managed to keep her desire to protect the weak and help those in need. She managed to keep her heart open to the world. She was endearing because she refused to give up on those she loved. She was loyal, to a fault, to the point of accepting a miserable life if that could help her family and save Jaime. She was stubborn, and Jaime Lannister was the very first person to see it for himself. She never gave up on him. She never will.

"My father's only crime was to speak the truth. He should have been more careful given the audience he was speaking to."

Early History

Very little is known about Ceryse's past. All that is known is that she was raised to become one of the most accomplished seafarers of House Velaryon.  She was one of the most beautiful Valeryon women whose beauty was known to bring out the best and the worst of men.  It was also known that Vaemond Velaryon doted on his daughter and prided himself on her knowledge, beauty, and passion for the sea. Long before Laenor's children were proven to be bastards, Vaemond wanted to betroth his daughter to one of her cousins so she could rule on Driftmark. He was so disappointed in discovering the treachery of Princess Rhaenyra that he berated his brother and decided to cancel his plan to marry their children together.

As she reached maturity, it became wildly known that the Lady of Driftmark was slowly losing her sight, a new that wasn't received very well by the woman who decided to make the best of it and carve her name next to the legendary warriors of Westeros and Valyria. She couldn't see very well in the dark unlike in her younger years but she was still very efficient otherwise.  She had met with Daemon Targaryen only a couple times, at Rhaenyra's wedding to Laenor but at the time she didn't think much of the man. She was pleased when he married her cousin Laena and resumed her life at sea. Her father grew restless upon discovering that the children fathered by Laenor weren't his and his dissatisfaction became an obsession of his. Still, Ceryse was very welcoming of the Targaryens who had married into her family.

Things started to change when it became clear that her father would not let go of the issue of Laenor's paternity of his children. She tried to calm her father to no avail. His obsession took a darker turn at Laena's death and her father's speech. Things became sour between her father and when he planned to marry her to Aemond Targaryen. Ceryse had always thought her father would let her choose the man she would marry and was crept up by the man -well, unfortunately, his reputation preceded him and it wasn't an outstanding one- Besides, she knew that he wanted to overthrow her uncle and cause a bigger drift between the two families by aligning himself with the Greens. Confused and upset, the young woman left, giving support to the fleet near the Triarchy instead.

She was by her uncle's side when he got sick and decided to return to her homeland to give support to her aunt Rhaenys. She remained at Driftmark when Rhaenyra and the rest of the family went to King's Landing in order to face Vaemond's claim to Driftmark.  Ceryse learned about the death of her father and quickly organized her escape to King's Landing. She felt deeply hurt and betrayed by her family for not trying to avenge her father or give him a decent burial at sea.  Hurt, vengeful, and scared of the Blacks, the Lady of Driftmark went to King's Landing in order to seek the protection of the crown.

Most Recent History :

Otto Hightower decided to claim Ceryse for himself once the war would be over. He knows that if Rhaenyra's extended family was decimated, then the sole heir to Driftmark would be Ceryse. The young woman didn't want to get married to the old man, especially since she wasn't interested in his politics or in his old ass. Her emotions are all over the place, while she understood the reason that got her father killed, she was still traumatized by his death and the fact it was his own House that murdered him. She dreamed of confronting Daemon in order to avenge her father, and in order to understand the man, she started to spend some time with Aemond Targaryen, her more level-headed cousin.  Aemond tried to intervene in her favor and convince his grandsire to marry Ceryse instead, but Otto refused for he had other plans for the young prince.  When Aegon II was crowned king, and Rhaenys escaped, she decided to take the opportunity to go to Dragonstone in order to meet with Rhaenyra and Daemon. There, she caught the eye of the prince (but lightly so), and she refused to admit that her opinion of him changed because he managed to manipulate her heart and steal her maidenhood.

Evolution of the History:

Where does she stand? The blacks? The Green ?

Personality and trivia:

Ceryse is a very dutiful and loyal woman. She loves her family and loved her father above anyone else. Her mother died shortly after her death so she was raised by him. Being the youngest of his children, he had a soft spot for the spunky Lady of Driftsmark who showed eagerness and passion. She rarely gives up when presented with obstacles.

Ceryse is a very intense woman. She knows what she wants and would never hesitate to take it or say it. She is very outspoken when she's upset. She will let you know if she has a problem with you straight away. Yet she's terrible when it comes to feelings.  She would keep to herself most of the time, especially after her father's death.

TRIVIA: /non-exhaustive list/

-Her hair is platinum blonde/silver because of her Velaryon lineage.

- Ceryse might not have let a man claim her maidenhood, but she received proper sex education from her handmaiden. She also took time to explore herself and be comfortable with her skin.

-She was very close to Baela, Rhaena, Lucerys and Jacaerys, and Joeffrey until her father died.

-She had a crush on Jace when they were younger but it was since gone.

-Her father was actually very doting on her, she had a special bond with him and was the one who took his death the hardest.

-She is a woman of the sea. She was raised to become an accomplished warrior and seafarer who would sail with her brothers. She knows how to wield a sword but is more efficient with daggers.

-She has a very pleasant smell, that reminds the mind of the seaside.

-Ceryse is losing her sight. , so she knows that her time as a seafarer is numbered.

got regular: Let's talk about love -Tyrion x Bäahal

// Another conversation between Tyrion and Bäahal, this time much light-hearted - riding dragons help a lot-

XXXX

Bäahal's first couple of days without Jaime or Jon in the castle had been complicated. While she could manage during the day and would fill her day riding Rhaegal to the sky or talking to her sister Daenerys the nights have been difficult. At night, the princess was alone with her thoughts. At night, she couldn't stop herself from thinking about the knight, longing for him and wishing for a different outcome of their union. She wished that they didn't have to wait for her sister's approval (as in, wait so long for her to approve of them). She wished, that Dany gave her blessings as soon as she learned the truth of their feelings for each other. Waiting had never been the forte of the young woman. Waiting for something she'd dreamed of and desired for such a long time had always left a sour taste in her mouth. Her entire existence, she had wished for freedom. It took the death of the man who tried to help them, then the death of her mother, then the years of endless suffering at the hands of her master and his friends....years of having her body violated, her mind crushed, her hands soaked with the blood of her master's enemies to finally have the opportunity to escape and take it. Waiting for her sister's blessings shouldn't be taking as long as it took for her to be free.

Well...It wasn't exactly the same thing and she understood why her sister would hesitate. Jaime was no ordinary man. He was known as the kingslayer, he was known as the sister-fucker, and he was known as the enemy. Everyone in the seven kingdoms would want to have him dead because of his family and its legacy of murders and wars. Because of his own action as a man who broke his oath, because he was rich, handsome, and skilled in combat. Everyone had a reason to hate him and they would hate him even more if he managed to get married to the princess. Bäahal had earned through hard work and dedication a very positive reputation; She was the royal who spoke and mingled with commoners. She was the voice of compassion, representing her sister's soft side wherever she went. She protected villagers during the siege and despite her fate being largely unknown, she almost reached a state of sainthood among the people. So to have Jaime Lannister taint that image was impossible to accept. Dany couldn't expose her sister to the disappointment of a crowd, for she had already experienced it at Mereen. She couldn't give her to a man whose family hurt her husband. How could she reconcile the two?

The silver princess managed to find some solace in the fact her sister would eventually mellow to the situation and see Jaime through different lenses. Perhaps, for the sake of her sister's happiness and with a little push from Jon, Sansa, and Tyrion, Jaime would be accepted. It was a matter of patience and Bäahal would have to learn how to be more patient. She sighed as she walked towards the hallways of the Red Keep. She knew it by heart now and it wouldn't have been so hard to endure if she was able to leave the castle. She knew it by heart by now and was craving novelty. She wanted to see new faces and hear new people but she knew that for the sake of their mission, she had to remain in the castle.  Her little afternoon stroll had her meet with Tyrion who had just left the war room. He waved at her and she bent a little towards him.

"Good morning princess." -He smiled at her-

"Good morning, Lord Tyrion." -She resumed walking-

"I am not a lord anymore, princess. You don't have to call me as such." -Tyrion cocked his head to the side-

"Old habits are hard to shake, so please, take it as a friendly way to call you that is more than just plain Tyrion. "

"I see. Well, for you I can make an exception when we are in private. Could we share your afternoon stroll? " -She nodded and offered her arm for him to grab as they walked. He wrapped his arm around hers and they resumed walking through the hallway- "You seem to be more at peace these days, princess."

"It's because I am. You had a fantastic idea when you suggested I rode a dragon. I have felt more like myself up in the air. I was able to properly mourn for Viserion this time, with his brothers." She gently nudged him. "Besides, I got to talk to you and you've been a very positive influence in my life, Lord Tyrion."

"My pleasure, princess." -He couldn't help but smile. She truly wasn't as mopey as she was since her arrival. She wasn't crying, she wasn't upset, and she wasn't even lamenting about her sister's lack of decision in her situation.  "Although, I have to say that both Commander Jon and my older brother had also something to do with your mood. If I may say... I am surprised to see you so bright today."

"Oh? You were expecting me to remain a mess after Jaime and Jon's departure? " -Tyrion nodded and Bäahal blushed and shrugged- "Well...I was for a couple of hours. I had to let Jaime leave and I couldn't even express my feelings for him as I wished to. We couldn't touch the way I wanted us to. We couldn't kiss... we were very limited, but Jaime found a way He found a way to turn this moment into the most romantic moment I've ever seen.... or had."

"Jaime has always been the romantic type. He loved the stories about a knight and his princess. he always loved reading romantic plays, and poems, and even when we talked together, Jaime managed to bring about the most romantic scenarios he could think of. He's lovesick, I can tell. What did he tell you this time?"

"I am the keeper of his heart. I am keeping his love safe with me. He spelled "I love you" in such a romantic way. I nearly fainted." -She chuckled and then put her hand on her chest.- "I gave him a ring. It's a royal ring I asked him to return to me. I ... I asked him to put it on my finger when he's back. "

"Did you propose to him?" -She chuckled and shook her head- "oh... Did you hint at a desire to be proposed then?"

"If he sees it fit. I didn't think this through. I just wanted him to have a trinket from me, a testament to my love for him. I... I wanted to lace my destiny with his, but in a way, I think the gods, old and new, know I have chosen him. I have chosen him." -She repeated and clenched her fingers against the fabric of her dress.

"Here I was thinking my brother was the only romantic soul here. You are quite the romantic yourself, princess! It's good to see you in a better mood."

"It's thanks to you, Lord Tyrion. Have you ever done something romantic for someone?" -She asked curiously, her purple eyes set upon the Hand of her sister who started to think.

"Mmm.... unfortunately, given the relations I had with my siblings and the way the world saw me. I didn't have the opportunity to be as flamboyant as my brother was. Yet, I think the most romantic thing I was able to do, was to love Shae as if she was a queen. I didn't care about her status nor did I care about her previous work; I didn't care because I loved her. She dined with me. She sat at my table. She dressed as she wanted with anything she desired. That was the most romantic thing I ever did for someone." -His face became somber, as he remembered how Shae betrayed him and how that made him feel. Bäahal noticed and she quickly removed her arm from his grip so she could kneel before him and put both of her hands on his shoulders. - "Princess..."

"Lord Tyrion. I am sorry. I am sorry for the hardships you had to fight to this day. I am sorry about the way your father treated you, and the way he encouraged others to treat you. I am sorry people weren't able to see past your height, your face... because it didn't fit their standards. You are... a giant among men, please, look at me." -She said as she cupped both cheeks and gently stroked them. He indulged her request and set his green eyes upon her.- "You are brave. You are wiser than any maester I know of. You are a visionary and along with it, comes the burden of being shunned by others. Along with brilliance, comes the darkness. You are a kind man. You should have been treated better, yet you never were. I know how it is. I have been a slave. I have been used and abused because I was different. I have been..." -She bit back a sob- "Your gesture is the most romantic gesture someone could do because you loved Shae for who she was. Nothing less and nothing more but the truth. You have been true to her and true to this love. It's beautiful. You are." -She smiled before she wrapped her arms around his shoulders and pulled him into a hug.

"Princess...."

Tyrion didn't know what to say but he found himself fondly smiling at the young woman and gently running his hand through her massive silver hair so he could pet it. She was surprised and always managed to take him back. She surprised him even now because she found a way to comfort him despite the stressful situation she was in; She found the time to be nice to others while she had every reason to be bitter and upset. He was surprised but pleased and that warm embrace truly brought him comfort so he didn't resist it. how could he?

GoT: regular: Who she was

They knew her as the Silver Princess. the Dragonrider, a champion of the Great and the Last War of Westeros. They knew her as the only princess who wanted to reach out to the poorest of them all, the only one who wanted to mend the relations between the subjects and the lords. They knew her as the princess with a golden heart, the one who nearly gave her life at the Siege and helped commoners survive as long as possible. Words got fast about her and her reputation preceded her, yet Jaime was certain they didn't know the princess the way he did.  How could they know her the way he did? They'd never have Bäahal storm into their bedroom to have an impromptu conversation. They'd never had to watch her stare into their eyes, reading their eyes to find the truth. He'd never lied to her, he couldn't bring himself to lie to Bäahal when she was so intensely searching for his soul with her big wet amethyst eyes.

Bäahal was honest, genuine in the way she spoke. She had little to no filters -he should know, she'd tried and failed to not kiss him when they saw each other again at Highgarden- and she always made sure to speak her mind whether it was the right thing to do or not. They'd never have to hear her claim how she was missing Viserion, days after his death. She confided in him without second thoughts and that, perhaps, along with the now-gone feeling that she should be sacrificing her life to her sister's glory, was enough to melt the ice that had settled in his heart. They'd never heard her thank them for having killed her mad father and saved the people from his dragonfyre. They'd never seen her insist in seeing him as a good man, despite the many crimes he'd committed in the name of love. She understood him, she valued him. She was the one who left King's Landing afte the victory of her sister, in order to find him. Save him. Help him.

They didn't know the princess as the knight did. They'd never seen her cry. Bäahal saved her tears for when she was alone with people she trusted. She'd cried with Daenerys, she'd cried in front of Tyrion, Missandei, Kyra and Jon. but she'd never cried as much as she did with Jaime. With him there was no walls. with him there was no restrain. she was pure unadulterated emotions, especially love, anger and sadness. They'd never seen her cry because of them, but Jaime did. each time he tried to protect her, he always ended up breaking her heart and even when they were about to finally share their feelings, they still couldn't be happy and he still managed to break her heart. the pang in his heart was intense everytime he set his eyes on her. the guilt, the desire to come closer to her and protect her heart overcame him. they could never know.

Bäahal was otherworldly. Her high cheekbones, plump lips, purple eyes and silver luscious locks were unique to her. Jaime could lose himself just by staring at her and she haunted his dreams. She was generous and determined. She loved with everything she had and that love couldn't be ignored. That love, her gentle presence felt like salvation. She did save him when she found him in Highgarden. She did save him when  she gave him warmth and love when he had none for himself. Her resilience, determination and stubbornness cracked the walls he had put up before. Bäahal was a firecraker, desire made flesh, kindness without any reservation. she wasn't jaded by the life she led before. she didn't see the world as doomed, no, instead she could still found wonders in life. she could see appreciate life and still wanted to live, so fiercely so.  So how could they know her?

They didn't, but he did.

SoA: love is in the air

(SoA)

"They say that the first ray of sunshine would pierce through the darkness of Winter; Spring is supposed to make you reconsider your life, start fresh, as Motherfucking nature does. Spring is supposed to have you reinvent yourself and that made me think. Have I really changed? Sure, I am sober now, for 4 years straight, I have been. Yet, I still feel like the woman I was eons ago. The one who knew Oscar, the one who lost her parents, the one who learned her brother was killed from broadcasted news. I am still afraid because I know I have something to lose again; I have a new family, made of people who could disappear just like that, like a snap of a finger. I have turned on a new leaf, learned how to protect myself, and I speak my mind again fearlessly... and yet... yet, I'm still afraid. So.. How does Spring works for us? Do we really change like the weather? do we grow? Do we shed the past like one caterpillar sheds its husk and becomes a butterfly? Do we really become something else? or are we deluding ourselves into thinking we became better,? I don't know... But it's spring baby and where there's the sun, there is life and this is what I'm doing. I'm still, living."
