COPG:Wherever she went

"Wherever she went, the elder goddess of Hope turned heads.

It wasn't per se her otherworldly beauty,

but rather the confidence she carried herself with.

Pride noticed it when he first laid eyes on her, millennia ago, but look at her now, truly transformed, a potential fully realized!

Look at her now, having humans kneel before her, revere her beauty, and surrender to her every whim. Look at her now! And that,  he did!"

COPG: Life of Elpis: You are everything to me.

You are everything, my beloved, everything to me. I fought for us for millennia, despite the good efforts of my traitorous pantheon. I will get revenge on them and am willing to erase my whole family for their betrayal, for their hatred of you, for the venom they spat on you.

You are everything, my beloved, everything to me. Your darkness balances my light and to the fire of my impulsivity, there is the water of your cold calculations. You are the only one who can bring peace of mind, a sense of safety and fulfillment to me. you are the only one for me and no matter what the universe has for us, we will walk in stride. We will move forward. We will be together, for all eternity.  I love you. I love you dearly.

COPG: life and death of Ayasha: at the brink of war

COPG: life and death of Ayasha: at the brink of war

// Ayasha, my stubborn goddess. She really thinks she can do something against Elpis and Pride.

xxxx

Ayasha was nervously walking in circles, fingers of her right hand were massaging her forehead as she was trying to keep her composure. Truth be told, how could she keep her composure when she noticed that her sister was growing in power? Ayasha's spies informed her about Gaea's loss of control over Fauna and Flora and this, coupled with the silence of her mother, led Ayasha to believe that Elpis was becoming more and more powerful. She tried to discuss the matter with her mother but Gaea refused to hear her out. She didn't want to know the truth and it was starting to rile up Ayasha who needed her mother to be combative. Her blonde locks fell onto her shoulders as she put her hands on the table. She tilted her head to the side and stared at her mother who reluctantly agreed to visit her children. Her brown eyes stared down at her daughter and she crossed her arms above her chest.

"Why are you so nervous, Daughter?"

"How dare you ask, Mother? Why shouldn't I be nervous? You are losing control over nature! You are losing control to Elpis and you don't seem to care!"

"Tsssk..." She rolled her eyes and lifted her upper lip "Do you honestly think I should be worried about a daughter of mine? She is nothing to me, just one who pretends she can become the new All-Mother? Please, don't let me laugh. I made her! I made all of you!"

"Why are you so delusional, Mother?? What would it take for you to see the truth? Elpis is becoming powerful and she will become the new All-Mother whether you want it or not if you don't do shit!"

Gaea broke into a maniacal laughter. She couldn't help but enjoy the face her daughter made as fear was creeping into her heart. Ayasha had always pretended to be above weak emotions and to hold the true power, which was knowledge. She always prided herself in never panicking because she knew and she could plan in advance her next move. To see her lose her mind and shake in fear because of her sister was delightful to see for the goddess who couldn't help but laugh harder. Ayasha blushed and clenched her jaw at the sight of her mother laughing at her. That laughter was far more revealing than Ayasha first thought. Yes, Gaea was mocking her, but there was also fear laced with her laughter. She wasn't trying to convince Ayasha, no, she was trying to convince herself of her supremacy over Elpis. Why should she be afraid of her own daughter when she was the one who made her? Why should she? Why.... Was she? Ayasha dropped her head and started to chuckle. Quickly enough, the chuckle turned into a burst of laughter, and soon enough she was also manically laughing, louder and louder to the point of making the All-Mother stop.

"Why are you laughing?" -Ayasha didn't reply, instead, she simply laughed and held her sides- "Why... Why are you laughing like that?-

It started to make the former queen shiver and cross her arms above her chest. Ayasha was still laughing. It was so ridiculous. It was doomed to be repeated. Her mother was scared of Elpis and refused to acknowledge the loss of power that was happening to her. For some reason, Life was starting to pledge allegiance to the one they considered their rightful leader. Fauna and Flora, including humanity, were placing their desires and Hopes on her. Gaea was useless to her. She couldn't help them, she didn't have the knowledge, so why was Ayasha trying to seek her mother's help and advice? Ayasha laughed, a hearty laugh at that. She was better than Gaea now. She was better than her own mother and that knowledge made her happier. It made her feel more powerful. She only had to find a way to kill her mother, to find a way to kill her sister.

COPG: Revenge on my mind

(Elpis)

"Revenge had been on my mind for as long as I can remember. I guess that seeing my brother betray me the way he did, broke my heart into thousand pieces. I wanted to destroy him, and the whole pantheon for what they did to me. I wanted to destroy everything for everything I have lost.

I almost gambled on my ability to scratch the seal that kept me trapped in human beings. I held onto my promise to see Pride again, but even then, I wasn't sure I would find the one I left behind.  I was right, he was different. He had been unmade by Hades and remade into a new being. A new one. A different one...

Revenge was still on my mind. I still was getting ready to take my rightful place in this universe, yes. But Revenge wasn't the only thing now. I wanted to build my life with my Beloved. I wanted to see us seated on our thrones. I wanted to see a crown on top of his head. I wanted the world to acknowledge him as the rightful emperor of the universe.

I am the goddess of Hope and  Light. I am hell-bent on destroying the pantheon but I am also a goddess in love. Have you ever felt it?  the overwhelming need to care, love, and support your significant other? Have you ever felt it? Your blood boiling at the thought something could happen to him.  I am His and he is mine. I am his protector and he protects me. We are two sides of the same coin, with a shared ambition and a shared love for each other."

Chronicles of the primeval gods: Life and Death of Ayasha: Builder

Chronicles of the primeval gods: Life and Death of Ayasha: Builder

// She's talking to me, so I'm letting her speak.

Ayasha fell to her knees. She was sweating profusely as the heat in the forge was intense. her blonde locks were stuck on her face and her back and big drops of sweat fell onto her fists. Her green eyes were glowing brightly as she was excited about the weapon she'd just built. It was a golden whip, infused with her essence, a weapon capable of killing another god. It took the Goddess of knowledge some time to come up with the right technic and the right spell to ensure her weapon would be able to defeat Sins and Gods alike and to ensure that only she could wield it. Upon seeing the perfection that her whip was, the goddess broke down into laughter that turned into sobs and tears. Could it be it? the solution she was so eager to find? Could it be it? The weapon she needed to kill her sister and unmake the sin? Her lips trembled and she ran her hand through her luscious blonde hair.  It was about time!

It was about time! Ayasha had nearly lost her mind since the death of Leviathan. It had been impossible for her to locate her sister and her plan to destroy the relationship between the sin and her sister failed. Besides, her relationship with Ishtar worsened to the point that she feared he might kill her in a fit of rage. She was faced with something new, Ayasha didn't know what to do and it was the first time she had ever felt like this. Her first reaction had been to lock herself up in her room, for fear of receiving the visit of a black butterfly. It didn't come and the goddess of knowledge was forced to regain her composure. She still had a possibility to win the war against her sister. Ayasha couldn't accept that she had Hope in her heart. She couldn't accept that even then and there,  her sister still had some influence over her. Ayasha's tears fell on the hot floor of the forge and she wiped them with the back of her hand.

There was a lot left to do. A whip would not be enough to face the threat that her sister and her beloved, both were. She would need to have armor, something solid and strong to contain the rage of her assailants. She would need something powerful enough to destroy her enemies. Spells, perhaps, to bind the goddess to her will. Ayasha was hopeful. It wasn't her end. She wasn't going to die. There was a chance that she could turn the tides in her favor. Gaea refused to join them, despite her best efforts, but that wouldn't deter Ayasha from trying to force the All-Mother to join their sides. She would find the solution to her issue. She always came up with solutions after the wall. Her dream of ruling over the universe wasn't going to disappear, not when she was so close to her goal.  The golden-haired goddess found comfort in knowledge. Hope dried her tears and made her look forward. There was no other choice but to move on.

Trivia and Headcanon: Elpis edition

  • Elpis is the latest child of the primeval gods Khaos and Gaea.
  • She is born out of true love between the very first beings to ever exist. She is Light and Darkness, the perfect balance between the two.
  • Elpis is known for her temper. She destroyed a whole pantheon by herself because they disrespected her father.
  • Leviathan and Ishtar wanted to claim her for themselves. Ayasha hates her guts, Her father doted on her, Gaea was scared of her and the only siblings who loved her Sitäa and Khrön both died at the hands of Ayasha.
  • She is loyal, devoted, and deeply in love with Pride. Do not try to seduce her, do not try to trash Jaime in front of her or make her believe that he is cheating on her.
  • A's Lust is a close friend and ally. C's Hecate is a former friend, now the enemy.  A's Astrid / Athena is an ally since she's been corrupted. A's Venus is going to be her protegee.
  • She aims to become the new All-Mother and the Empress of the Universe alongside Pride.
  • He worships her. She is devoted to him. She is the only one he can see as his equal and wants to rule with.
  • Elpis has been raised in a golden cage by the rest of her pantheon. Both parents and siblings feared she would realize her worth and try to tap into her power. They tried to weaken her, to make her meek and fragile, and brainwashed her into thinking she needed their protection and help because she was helpless.
  • Leviathan was killed by Pride who stole his power and sent his soul to Oblivion.
  • Elpis was cursed in a never-ending cycle of reincarnation by Ishtar because she refused to give up on Pride. Ishtar's love for her had him curse her instead of killing her. As a result, she was forgotten for 2000 years by the whole world and gods alike save for Ayasha and Ishtar who schemed and cursed the goddess.
  • Ironically, her curse gave her the opportunity to review and reflect on her past and mature. It nurtured her rage and her desire for revenge and it helped her realize the truth about her powers, status, and place in the universe.
  • Pride had been unmade by hades as a punishment for his relationship with the goddess. he remade him but that only precipitated his demise. pride didn't kill his maker but he's a prisoner of Tartarus.
  • She is a very stubborn woman. It was her sheer determination that helped her scratch her seal and be remembered by Pride.
  • She is not evil, nor good. She is a perfect balance that would help Pride not get beside himself and destroy everything.
  • Elpis is into "power play". She loves to challenge Pride and wrestle him until he has the upper hand. This could range from simple banter to a sexual game.
  • Pride is the one and only lover she ever had. She rejected anyone who had tried to get in her good graces.
  • Together they have caused chaos wherever they went. The infamous events of Vancouver highlighted the insane chemistry between the two of them. They both danced and created an orgy so intense that it ended up with the death of the guests.
  • Elpis' power is so strong that she was able to make life thrive in the Underworld. The Underworld rejects her as well and for her to be able to stay as long as she did, it required Pride's ancient magic.
  • Elpis nurtures such an intense rage at her siblings for their betrayal that she wants to eradicate her own pantheon. She wants to crown Pride as the New All-Father of Earth and lead them to a path he had not imagined before.
  • Elpis loves humans and Earth. She can enjoy their fine arts and their company. Pride, out of love for her, is resolved to not destroy the planet.
  • Together, Elpis and Pride are known as the new Persephone and Hades, much to their disdain. She refuses to see any similar connection to Persephone and even less to Demeter her mother because they are nothing alike. Pride likes to say that he is what comes after the gods and she believes that she is meant to be more than the weakling she was made to believe she was.
  • It was love at first sight for Bäahal. She fell in love with him as soon as she laid her eyes on him. He didn't, mostly because the Sin he used to be was unable to feel anything that deep. however, he grew attached to her (courtesy of her influence), which led to the two of them having a romance.
  • Elpis enjoys praising her Sin. She enjoys stroking his ego and this skill sometimes helped her convince him not to go too extreme on his plan.
  • She is a beautiful woman, She is said to be an uncanny beauty, unlike anything seen in the realms of the gods.
  • Elpis only trusts Pride and Lust. The other gods had proven to be liars and deceivers.  She no longer believes that they would not try to conspire against her and is always tense because she expects a betrayal.
  • However, that doesn't stop Elpis from trying peace. She still is the goddess of Light and Hope.
  • Elpis has escaped several attempted assaults from various gods and deities. Among her assailants, there was Ares, the Greek God of War, Poseidon (stopped by Ishtar), Leviathan (stopped by Ishtar), and even Ishtar (who stopped himself).
  • Elpis enjoys dancing. Of all the things she loves doing on Earth, dancing, listening to music, and even fine dining are among her favorite to do.
  • Elpis is very empathetic and compassionate. However, she learned to focus that energy on herself during her curse. Upon returning to existence, she is far less giving and more balanced.
  • She is the goddess of Light and Hope and to these two concepts, she doesn't apply a human perspective. She answers to anyone, including those with malicious intent for it is not her place to judge the desires of others or the goals they seek. She simply gives them Hope to succeed in whatever plan they have.

COPG: Life of Elpis "grudge"

COPG: Life of Elpis "grudge"

// SHe is just a very upset girl.

xxxx

The elder goddess swallowed hard and she bit her bottom lip. It had been such a long while since she had heard the sound of her mother's voice.  Millennia to be exact. It sounded the same, sweet and caring, but hints of her fear were easily caught by her daughter. Elpis lifted a brow and crossed her arms above her chest. She was upset, clearly so. Her heart was beating fast, so fast that it was the only thing she could hear. It was supposed to be a simple exercise. Elpis wanted to push her connection with fauna and Flora as far as she could. As suspected, the goddess of Hope and Light grew so powerful that it didn't require a lot of energy to quickly be in tune with it.  She was upset at her, for not doing anything when she was aware of her siblings' schemes. She hated her mother for sheltering her and manipulating her into never tapping into her true potential. If she pushed further, perhaps Gaea would feel her. She didn't know how she felt about it. Did she want to talk to her? What could she say to the All-mother? She would spit at her face, she would threaten her, maybe.

Pride would have calmed her down, but he wasn't around. He would preach the virtue of patience and would remind her that it was just a matter of time before the destruction of her pantheon. Gaea would pay for her crimes, in time. Pride would have calmed her down, with his strong hands on her neck. She was missing her Sin who was, as usual, trapped within his own business elsewhere. He would let his fingers run through her pink mane and massage her scalp, so she wouldn't let her anger take the best of her. Pride knew that it was just a matter of time before she would face the All-Mother but the truth was, that she was already feeling her presence due to the connection she had with Earth. Did Gaea try to reach out to her? did she want to talk to her?  Why did it matter?  Why did it matter?

COPG: Life and death of Ayasha: Knowledge is power

COPG: Life and death of Ayasha:  Knowledge is power

// She's tired of being afraid. I suspect she's going to put on some false bravado.

xxxx

Ayasha decided that she had spent way too much time in the confines of her chambers. What good would it do to her to hide? What good would it do to her to wait until it was too late? SHe couldn't just stay in her bed, hands clutching the silk sheets under her. She refused to wait until Death took hold of her. Black Butterflies have not visited her since leviathan's death and she took it as a good sign. It wasn't her turn to die. Her plans have failed, but she would always come up with something. After all, wasn't she the goddess of knowledge? Wasn't she able to find the answers to her questions if she looked for it? She couldn't spend her day whithering in her bedroom, because Elpis would not rest until they were all dead. It was a fact, the only true power they had, was Ishtar's. He was the New All-Father and he was the only one left with power. Gaea had refused to join them, and without her, there was a possibility that they would die on the battlefield. Ayasha was not ready to die, as a matter of fact, she refused to die. She was supposed to know things, to find a way out of problems, and she would.

She was snapped out of her funk when her brother visited her a while ago. He informed her that he felt a shift in the air. He didn't know what was happening, but he could tell that their mother had less power than before. She was losing power and he suspected that perhaps, what Gaea lost, Elpis gained. It was that theory that pushed Ayasha out of her depression and back into action. If Elpis was becoming stronger then perhaps, the opposite was true. She was an elder goddess, just like them and with the proper weapon she could be defeated. With the proper weapon she could defeat the pink haired goddess. With proper weapon she could kill Elpis for good. Ayasha decided that she would shower, wash her hair, wear her best clothes and do what she did best: research.. War was inevitable, and since she couldn't avoid it, then she would make sure to have the weapons needed to kill Elpis and protect herself. Knowledge was power and since she was the goddess of Knowledge, she had power.

copg: Life and Death of gaea: what is to come?

// Because the All Mother spoke to me. I had to make her speak a little bit.

xxxx

Gaea looked at the beautiful landscape before her. She ran her hands over her arms as a fresh breeze brushed over her skin. It was true, she was losing power to her daughter and it became easier to notice. She could feel her energy deplete and noticed that she couldn't perform the same miracles that she used to before. That could only mean one thing, she was dying. Her brown eyes looked at the beautiful sea and she relished in the calming sound of the crashing waves in front of her, reminding her of her favorite son, Leviathan. They got along well, two gods who were complimentary. The oceans were home to Life, after all, and their untamable nature echoed Gaea's true nature. She couldn't be tamed, she couldn't be predictable. No matter how hard her offspring tried, they could never predict her next move. They could never control her. Life....couldn't be contained.

Ayasha nearly succeeded in having her mother join their forces against Elpis and Pride. The goddess of knowledge had figured out the All-Mother rather quickly and exposed her truth to the ruthless goddess. Gaea was a coward who was more focused on staying alive than anything else. She was the most selfish of them all because she wanted to be worshipped and gave most of her attention to the creatures she made because they celebrated her, worshipped her, and they sacrificed each other for her sake. She was needed, unlike her children, she was needed by humans and that stroked her ego. Gaea was capricious and a hypocrite. She chastised her children for murdering her husband, but she knew what they were planning to do and still let it happen. She knew Ayasha had planned to kill Elpis and Ishtar couldn't bring himself to do it, and yet, she still let it happen. Khaos's death didn't matter. Nothing but Gaea really mattered to Gaea.

Elpis was supposed to be the child born out of pure love between her parents. Gaea loved Khaos. He was the only being she eventually cared about besides herself. Gaea didn't need to give birth to one last child for the universe was already working without Hope, but her desire to show Khaos the depths of her love led the two of them to make a love child. Elpis was born, not because she was needed, but because she was wanted. Upon her birth, Gaea realized that she had birthed the very being that could destroy them all if she was made aware of her true potential. She was both Hope and Despair, both Light and Darkness, both Destruction and Creation. She was Balanced! She was Power and she scared her parents and the rest of the family.

Ignorance should have been bliss, but Ayasha knew the truth and if she didn't, she would find out because that was her true nature as the goddess of Knowledge. Hiding the truth would have backfired on Khaos and Gaea so they brought the children into the plan and altogether, they gaslighted and groomed Elpis into being a submissive and kind soul. How long would it last? gaea had no idea. Perhaps, her daughter would have awakened without the impulsion of Pride. Perhaps, she would have gone on a rampage, who knew? Gaea wanted to have nothing to do with it, so she hid among mortals. She hid well but Ayasha and Ishtar both found her and disrupted her peace. Both forced her to admit that she had always been scared of her daughter and had always tried to run away from her. Both forced her to acknowledge her weakness despite her many attempts to hide behind some bravado. Gaea was scared!

Gaea was weak. She knew that it was a matter of time before Elpis became so powerful and so in tune with Life throughout Earth and the Universe, that Gaea would be nothing but the shell of the goddess she'd been before. Perhaps she should take the advice of Ayasha and join forces with them in one last bid to save her own skin. Perhaps she should accept their offer! Perhaps she should go and hold onto the Hope of her own survival. How ironic... Here she was, hoping for her survival and more than anything else, hoping for her daughter to forgive her for her cowardice. Would Elpis forgive her? Would she keep her alive? She had no idea of what was to come

Copg: Life of Elpis: Existence

 // Because it's been a while.

xxx

"I want more than just a mere revenge on my pantheon, Superbia."Those words had never left the pink-haired goddess. It was the first time she acknowledged her desire for more than just punishing those who had betrayed her. Elpis realized she could be more than just a sidekick to the Sin. The first weeks of her recovery established her playful nature. She realized in Vancouver, that she expected more to her life than simply existing. She enjoyed her little stint with the Sumerian pantheon and how powerful she felt when she decimated it. She wanted to experience more thrills, test her limits, conquer lands, realms, planets, and the fucking universe. She discovered Greed that had been hidden for a long while, washed out and ignored by the careful and meticulous plan of her family.  She wanted more from her life and she didn't want to be held back by anything or anyone. She had tasted freedom and she didn't want to go back to who she used to be.

Elpis realized that her whole life had been a lie. Her siblings played along with their parents to keep her contained. They lied and manipulated her into being submissive, meek, kind, and small. She had a power that could both influence mortals and humans alike. She was a force to reckon with, a force so strong that they couldn't quite defeat her, no matter how hard they tried. She was "Balance", true balance, as the child of Khaos the god of destruction, and Gaea, the goddess of creation. She was Hope and light, two elements that were needed for words to exist and persevere. it was hope that motivated living beings. It was Hope that decided the world's fate. It was Hope that controlled everything, life included for it could toy with it, turn it into something greater. It was Her.

Superbia heard her well when she requested more. He enjoyed seeing her like that. like what? free! She was free and that was enough for the Sin. She knew how to balance him. She always knew what to say to push him into doing something and she knew how to stop him from making a mistake. He didn't consume himself as fast as he used to, he didn't take the risk to be unmade because she tempered him when he went too far away. She tempered him when he wanted to squash all of existence without proper preparation or proper strength. She also fueled his desires, his ambition, and the feeling that he could achieve anything he put his mind to. he could, but this time, not just because he believed in himself. He could because she believed in him.

He would give her everything, the Earth, the galaxy, and even the fucking universe if she wanted it. He would make sure his queen had anything she needed and anything she didn't know she needed. He wanted to see the smile of his Light. He wanted to be lavished with her attention. He wanted to ay his existence at her feet for he worshipped her. She made him a better Sin, unknowingly, meeting her kickstarted everything. It forced his father to unmake and remake him better, stronger, and more determined. Meeting her again, with his new form transformed Pride and made him into the creature he was today. Her existence was a gift very few could understand, but he did. He did!

COPG: Life and death of Ayasha: Spiraling

// Ayasha is afraid and no amount of knowledge is going to save her from what's about to happen.

xxxx

Ayasha was curled up in her bed, her hair was disheveled and tangled. She had not been out of her bedroom for weeks as she refused to step out until she had found a solution to the "Elpis problem" that had arisen. She was scared of being visited by another black butterfly that would announce the upcoming death of someone close to her -or her-. A black butterfly was the worst news she could receive. It was a message from Fate, something that could not be changed no matter what they did. She received one, a while before Leviathan's death and was afraid to get another.  Besides, she knew from her brother that Gaea would not join them in their fight against Elpis. Why did she do something like this? Why did she take such a stupid decision? Elpis was getting stronger and she was so powerful that there was no doubt that she would outmatch Ayasha. When it came to raw power, it was a no-brainer, Elpis was far more powerful than any of her siblings. If she was correct and if Elpis had discovered her untapped power, then it only was a matter of time before she reached her true potential.

What was left for her then? Threatening the life of Elpis' former vessel didn't work, she had no idea of the extent of Elpis' true abilities and she didn't know if Gaea would be the first to be attacked or if her sister would first come to the Primordial Garden.  Oh, how the tables have turned! Ayasha realized that her plan wasn't fool-proofed and that she didn't take into consideration the numerous hiccups that could make her plan obsolete. She didn't take into consideration that the Sin could actually grow feelings, even less for her sister. She didn't take into consideration that Elpis would find out the truth about her powers and the reasons her family raised her as being an obedient creature. They were afraid of how the world could turn if Elpis became her true self. They didn't want to be replaced by her, nor did they want her to wage wars, and take the path she was taking now. Ayasha knew her sister had ambitions. She knew her sister would manage to make them happen, after all, she managed to be with Pride. She managed to make him feel something those weapons weren't supposed to be feeling. She managed to accomplish the impossible.

So what now? Her armor and god-killing weapon were being forged as she was spiraling in her bedroom. She would be ready for the next attack, but for the first time in a long while, Ayasha didn't know how things could unfold. She didn't know what the outcome of the all-out war would be. Would they be victorious or would they lose? She didn't know. Would Ishtar even go through with his desire to eliminate Elpis or would he fall prey to his deep-rooted love for his sister? Ayasha wasn't sure. They both were haunted by their guilt, by the regrets they had about what they did, and by the ghosts of those they wished to eliminate. Elpis taunted Ayasha, exposing her heart and the failure of her plans to the goddess who blamed herself for her shortcomings. All of this could have been avoided if she was the one who stabbed Elpis. She would have killed her sister a long time ago and the only war to be had, would have been the one against the Sins.  But she trusted her brother. She trusted her manipulative power, she trusted her plan and it backfired on her.

Why wouldn't it do the same thing here? in the present? in this war against her sister? There was an unsettling feeling that overcame the goddess and nearly defeated her before the war even began. There was that feeling that got her bones cold, that made her stomach churn, that made her sweat at night, in fear of receiving the visit of a black butterfly or eventually the hallucinations of her sister Elpis who would taunt her at night. She was pale, paler than she used to be and she refused to let anyone see her in that state of mind. The truth was... oh the truth was that Ayasha was terrified of the War. She was scared of her sister and she was afraid to die. She didn't want to disappear into the void and the simple thought of becoming nothing made her sick. Ishtar was still on Earth, simply informing Ayasha that their mother declined their extended hand and that they should prepare in case Elpis killed Gaea and took her power.  Ishtar was still away and nothing could soothe the goddess of knowledge.. nothing... no one...

Chronicles of the primeval gods: Life and death of Ishtar: Last call

Chronicles of the primeval gods: Life and death of Ishtar:  Last call

A/N: My All-Father spoke, so I had to let him speak.

xxx

Gaea was staring at her son, her eyes looked at him from head to toe before she shrugged her shoulders. She had made her peace with what happened, the fact she was blinded by her love for mankind so much that she didn't notice the plan fomented by her children. She had made her peace yet was still upset at her son for what he did. It wasn't so much about the death f her husband than the fact it disturbed her peace. It wasn't so much about the destruction of their pantheon than the fact they awakened her daughter. Elpis was anew. She was unleashed, and her wrath would lead to drastic changes, the kind that even the current All-mother couldn't dream about. Could she stop Elpis? Maybe she could if her connection to Life and nature was at its peak. Perhaps she couldn't if Elpis bested her. Uncertainty was definitely something the All-mother hated above all, and she didn't appreciate the fact that her daughter could eventually come after her.

"Why am I here?" -He lifted a brow and started to laugh at his mother's question. How could she ask him the reason of his visit when it had been made clear that they were at war with Elpis and Pride?-

"You heard me well." -She said, allowing both hands to rest on her waist- "I won't repeat myself, Ishtar. I don't see why you would give yourself the trouble to find me when I made it clear that I didn't want to be found."

"Salty as ever..." -He shrugged his shoulders and crossed his arms above his chest. He recognized his mother's stubborn spirit and her refusal to give the impression she was weak, afraid of anything that could cause a dent in her perfect image.- "I heard you well the first time you rejected me. Ayasha heard it well when you rejected her. However, I chose to be magnanimous and offer you a Last call."

"Should I be grateful you came down on Earth to save me from my daughter?" -She sneered and ran a hand over her face, to mark her exasperation.- "Ayasha came to me, pretending to know how afraid I was of my own flesh and blood. I do not fear Elpis and I would certainly not benefit from having you near me."

Ishtar realized that his mother didn't trust them. She couldn't shake that feeling off of her, because both his sister and he betrayed their father, and Elpis killed the former and cursed the latter. He speculated that the goddess feared they would try to steal her power, rather than use her for protection and assistance. He couldn't blame her, mostly because he didn't know what Ayasha had planned with their mother. She mentioned that it was important that their mother stayed with them at the primordial garden. Of course, they didn't want to give Elpis the opportunity to be the first to attack and steal the All-Mother power. That was a possibility. They believed it would be safer for all of them to stick together and protect each other rather than take the risk to lose everything because of a badly calculated move. Gaea believed that she was taking the risk to be killed by her daughter and having her power stolen by her in order to become more powerful and go toe to toe with her sister. She refused to be killed like her late husband was.

"You are paranoid. We wouldn't betray you."

"Why should I believe the word of someone who betrayed their own father and sister, uh? You /Killed/ Khaos. You killed your father and you stole his power!"

"yes I DID! and I am tired of being sorry for what I did. Father taught us we had to take what was ours no matter what. I considered that his throne and power were to be mine so I took them. Deal with it, mother. Fucking deal with it!"

"Here it is! The lie you tell yourself! Your father didn't want to die and he certainly didn't expect his children of all people, to go after him like you did! I cannot trust you. I can never trust you and  I won't follow you. You and I both know that you need me more than I do need you. You betrayed your sister, now deal with the consequences!" -She said, pointing away from her, so her son would take it as his cue to leave.-

"So... You are not going to come with me. If she comes to you after we're dead, remember this. We offered you our help and you chose to spit in our faces out of spite. You will reap what you sowed." -He said turning on his heels and leaving the place. $

Gaea exhaled and realized that she had been holding back her breath for far too long. Ishtar wasn't wrong when he said that she would be alone when her daughter would come to her. It was a risk to take, the risk to be killed by an empowered goddess. It only took her a brief minute, a moment where she wasn't careful and exposed herself for the world to see and feel her presence. It took only a minute, but it was the most terrifying minute for the All-Mother. There was a chance Elpis might kill her, no.. a certainty that her days were numbered if her daughter came after her, hence her desire to ask for peace or at least a truce. Elpis was stubborn and there was a chance that she would not listen to her mother, but perhaps, if she played it well, the All-Mother could survive the ordeal. She just had to have faith. She just had to HOPE.

COPG; chronicles of the primeval gods: Life of Elpis: dominion

 // Elpis cannot be forgotten.

The goddess of Hope was at a bar, her perfect legs crossed while she was drinking a cold glass of wine. She was wearing a short red dress and red stilettos, her pink hair fell perfectly on her shoulders and back as she was staring at the unexpected humans who were going about in their lives. They had no ideas about the war that was about to start between the primeval gods. How puny they were, how lucky they were to be oblivious about the greater designs the gods had for them. She was like this, thousands of years ago, unaware of the bigger picture and the manipulative nature of her family. Had she known they were afraid of her power, she would have tried to control it much sooner. SHe would have set herself free from their control and perhaps, yes, perhaps, she wouldn't have been betrayed by her siblings. She wouldn't have been cursed into a never-ending reincarnation cycle. But with ifs, we would put Rome in a bottle. With ifs, she would have done things differently and why would she live with regrets? She didn't have to. She wouldn't do.

Today, she was free and she was preparing her revenge on her siblings. Today she had another chance at life and the World had another chance too. A life without Hope sent the world down a negative spiral. The world was grey and dull. People were serving Fate, believing that nothing was unexpected and Fate decided for them. Since her return, they became more daring, more curious and Life resumed as It should have. Her powers were restored, explored, and increased. She wasn't alone anymore and she was encouraged to get better, become stronger, and rule the universe with Superbia. She would. oh yes, she would. She knew that her siblings were dreading their next encounter. She hoped that Ayasha received the visit of black butterflies, announcing their upcoming demise at the hands of Pride and Elpis. She hoped they were shaking in the coldness of their Prime Garden, the realm of the primeval gods, and were convincing themselves that they were better, stronger than Superbia and the goddess. Such nonsense!

Elpis kept in touch with Pride, from time to time he wrote to her, using that human device called a cellphone to text her. He always kept it casual, short, and efficient, but from time to time, he would write pet names to her, sending shivers down her spine, making her blush and appreciate the moment. She loved it. She loved their conversations and their constant teasing. She tilted her head to the side, scrolling on her phone while the waitress with which she established a good rapport earlier, noticed the picture of the sin and commented on how dreamy he was. Elpis grinned and nodded, pulling her sunglasses up her nose to keep her eyes concealed.  Yes, he was. of course he was and he was hers. The waitress offered a nice distraction to the goddess who didn't think about her siblings for at least a short while and when asked about how it feels to talk to her partner, (as Elpis called him), the pink-haired goddess replied.

"I think about Eternity. When I look at him, I think about him sitting on his throne with me on his lap. I am thinking about giving him the universe on a silver platter. I want my Emperor to be happy, satisfied, and powerful.  when I look at him, I think about his fingers wrapped around my neck while he is deep inside of me. I think about him making me beg for his touch, beg for his cock, for his attention, and reward me because I have been a good girl.  mmhh.. when I look at him, I think about my revenge, the blood we'd spill on the floor, onto our blades, all over ourselves.  I think about his arms holding me tight for he will be my only family. the only one left once I have decimated my pantheon."

"Your... pantheon?" -The waitress didn't understand the goddess' reply. How could she when she was just human? It made Elpis chuckle and she gently nodded- "It's a metaphor isn't it?"

"Yes... yes, it is... I just love him beyond reasons. that's the truth here, so when I look at him, I see my future. I see my love. I see my life. I see us forever."

"how romantiiiiiic! Oh, my God, you're so romantic! Thank you for telling me."

Elpis smiled at her, shaking her head at the reaction she thought. Silly humans, puny humans, oblivious humans. Her naivety made the goddess smile. She loved their innocence and the simple enjoyment of relationships. They didn't have eternity and learned to enjoy life to its fullest, which inspired the goddess to do the same. she would live her life to the fullest.

Chronicles of the primeval gods: Life of Elpis: Words

Chronicles of the primeval gods: Life of Elpis: Words

// our OGs! I love them. <3

Elpis believed that words held power and shouldn’t be said without care. They had to be meant and to carry some weight. Khaos taught her to think like this, explaining to his last born that he never said unnecessary words and always made sure to do as he said because nothing induced fear in the heart of his enemies, than a man who would execute his threats. She learned from her sister Sitäa, the goddess of Love, that “Love” was a double-edged sword. It was a powerful word that carried a lot of weight and couldn’t be used lightly. Elpis experienced life. She had her own trials and errors, but she came to realize that they were right in that she should pick up carefully what she said and should always meant those words.

The long pink locks cascaded on her thighs, and she took a deep breath before she looked up to the ceiling of her bedroom. Elpis wondered if the Sin felt the same. She knew that Pride considered his word to be sacred and he liked to keep it. He always managed to deliver, no matter the odds, on his promises. His dedication to Asma’s happiness was a testament of that, the fact he forged her a weapon was testament of that and the fact he agreed to let her go on Earth and spend time with her there, was the biggest proof of his desire to please the goddess. His word had worth and value so perhaps, he meant it when he called her “My Light”. It wasn’t just a pet name; it was the way he considered her. She was more than just a goddess; she wasn’t a weapon. She was “His Light.”

Elpis smiled to herself, knowing that he might not truly consider it to be more than just a pet name. It was, all things considered, perhaps even more important than the actual meaning of the words. He gave her a pet name. She upgraded in his heart. From a petty feeling of revenge to an asset, she became someone close to him. She became someone he considered. He finally saw her for who she was and what she was. An ally, an equal… his future queen? Perhaps... or perhaps he simply acknowledged that she had earned her place in his mind. He did feel something and she was happy to notice it. She knew the word meant something, at least for him. Would she bother entertaining him with a little musing about his pet name? would she ask him if he liked her? Should she ask him how he'd react if she died during the war?  She wanted to know but she decided not to bother him just yet. She could wait a little longer but she knew that his words carried some weight.

New Year short (Elpis COPG):

 (Elpis)

"Mortals concern themselves with how they would spend the next year of their lives. I used to mock them a little because I didn't understand them. Being cursed forced me to see things from their perspective and it became an eye-opener. They aren't immortals like I am. They aren't gods, but they are my mother's creations. Their lives are fragile, short-lived and because they don't know when to expect Death or how to prepare for it, they hope and pray.

They hope for a better tomorrow. they hope to become the best versions of themselves. They hope to know love, comfort, and safety. They pray to give meaning to their existence and this, in itself is beautiful. Before I spent time with humans, I couldn't understand the concept. I was a goddess, I simply was. I embodied Hope. I was Light. I didn't need to ponder about my purpose for it was to exist. Love tore down that simplistic vision of existence.

Betrayal tainted everything with the bitter taste of it and Being cursed opened my eyes to my own desires. I wanted to be free. I needed to find Pride. I needed to get revenge on my traitorous siblings. I can feel the planet call for me, ask me to become its new All-Mother, the one to decide and give life. the one to pray to. the one to worship and lead. I am a leader.

I am a healer.

I am a lover.

I am...But this time, I have found a true meaning for that word.

So Happy New Year.

Happy Light Day.

Happy Life until we meet again."

Chronicles of the Primeval gods: Life and Death of Ayasha: Mortality

Chronicles of the Primeval gods: Life and Death of Ayasha: Mortality

A/N: She spoke to me, I have missed her.

xxxxx

Ayasha was frantically pacing around in the hotel room she had rented for the night. The goddess of Knowledge couldn't stay in the primeval gods' realm. She had to come down on Earth and lead a few more investigations in order to find a way to kill the sins permanently. She was hoping for Pride to still be entangled in a war with his own siblings, but learned, to her dismay that the war was over and the sins were vanquished saved for Lust -Pride's strongest and most loyal ally-. The blonde locks were falling onto her back, disheveled, disgracious, exposing her anguish. What could she do? The goddess bit her thumb and paced faster in the room. Her green orbs flashed a brief light and she tugged at her blonde locks. How could she get away from this situation? it became clear that she had to rethink her plan otherwise, it would backfire on her.  What could she do? where could she start?

The goddess realized that her dreams were shattered. Could she really achieve her goals and become the queen of the universe? How could she rule when her enemies were thriving in the darkness? How could she thrive when her own brother was now aware of her manipulations? Ishtar might have been easy to manipulate, -especially his guilt-, he was dangerous when he was angry. And by Khaos, he was angry. He realized that he had been manipulated into cursing his beloved sister. He was manipulated into causing a rift between primeval gods. He lost most of his siblings and there was nothing he could do to bring them back. To top things off, his beloved mother hated his guts and that was something he had the most trouble with.

Ayasha was taunted by the disappointed look on her mother's face. Gaea openly disowned her two murderous children. She refused to acknowledge Ishtar and Ayasha as worthy of her time, let alone her love. When the goddess of knowledge first found her mother, Gaea had some harsh words for her daughter, mocking her desire for control, mocking her jealousy towards Elpis, and mocking her lack of anticipation. She was shortsighted, blinded by her rage and her ambition, and wasn't really able to see just how destructive and powerful Elpis was. Was her mother right? was she really shortsighted? What if there was something that was missing? For a goddess whose power was to know everything, she was unable to know the whereabouts of her sister or correctly assess her powers.

It was driving Ayasha wild. And she started to scratch her head even harder. How low had she fallen? Just a moment ago she was in control of everything. Just a moment ago, she was in control. She had a plan, she had knowledge. Elpis was nothing but a memory stuck at the back of her head. Ishtar was a pawn she manipulated at will. Sins were killing each other in a war that would have seen no survivor or so she hoped. What turned the tide? what did she not account for? Her eyes were searching through the darkness of her room but she still wasn't able to find the answers she was looking for. Then it clicked and she almost let out a primal scream.

She underestimated the bond Pride and Elpis shared. She believed that he wouldn't care for her sister.  Sins were supposed to be selfish creatures, unable to bond with someone else by themselves. Pride was the best of the best, he was supposed to be the worst creature to ever exist so she didn't expect him to actually try and set her sister free. She should have seen it coming, or at least, try to anticipate it. She didn't and now because of her recklessness, Elpis was free and even more powerful than before. She felt it, briefly so, but she felt the surge of power. As she paced around, the blonde goddess ran her hand over her belly and then stopped walking.

She could die. The cruel reality of this statement hit her hard and she put her hand over her soft lips to muffle another scream threatening to come out of her lips. Ayasha could feel it in her bones, fear... she was terrified of the reality of her demise. How could an eternal being envision their death? How could they accept everything to be over when they were supposed to exist until the end of time? It seemed so easy when she manipulated Ishtar into killing their father. Khaos simply stopped existing and Ayasha felt nothing of it. She had no remorse when Elpis was the one to be stabbed by their brother. She felt nothing for the loss of her siblings or the death of Khrön at her hands, but she felt sorry for her.

She was sorry for her and was cursing her own mortality.

Chronicles of the primeval gods: Life and Death of Ishtar: Regrets

Chronicles of the primeval gods: Life and Death of Ishtar: Regrets

A/N : Ah, Ishtar and his complicated feelings. We'd think he'd move on but he clearly is stuck there.

Xxxxxxx

Ayasha wasn't the only one who couldn't find Elpis and the Sin no matter how hard they were trying to. Ishtar had been looking for his enemies, using all the resources available to him but even with his immense power, the New All-Father couldn't find his sister. She always escaped him no matter what he did. It infuriated him, not just because he couldn't find Elpis, but because he couldn't forget about her. Her ghost followed him wherever he went, and hallucinations of her took over at night when he was the most vulnerable to his own desires. The shape of her frame, the illusory warmth of her body, the soft pink locks, and the ebony skin all came back to his mind, taunting him in his dreams and tortured him when he was awake. He could never forgive himself for his betrayal.

She could never let him breathe, no matter what he did. He tried to kill her twice in his mind, ensuring that she would no longer haunt him but it was to no avail. Always, did her spirit come back to him, mocking him for having dreamed of being hers, taunting him for killing her for good when they would meet on the battlefield. He dreaded that instant when he would face her again. He knew that his betrayal broke her spirit free from the mental conditioning his whole family participated in. She no longer was the innocent lamb with the untapped power that could put any of them to shame. She no longer was the obedient little goddess who was willing to go with her older brother on battlefields to influence men. She no longer was his little sister, his pink flame, his adored one, and the one he wished to lace his destiny with. The last part always stung because he knew she would never choose him.

She never chose him. She always chose the Sin. He remembered the arguments, the desperate attempts at making her stop seeing this wretched abomination. He remembered the anguish he felt about her choosing another and the heartbreak of never being an option she'd choose from. He remembered the jealousy he felt and how it burned his soul. His heart and chest were always hurting, burning hard anytime he would lay his eyes on her because he would see another man. He would see another man put his hands on her, run his fingers through her pink locks, whisper in her ear that she was his, claiming her over and over and tainting her in doing so. He couldn't fathom the idea that someone else was her chosen one and even less that he would never be hers. She would never be his. Desperate and angry he drove that blade into her heart, sealing her fate, punishing her forever. Desperate and angry he drove her away from him for good. He regretted his choice, and he knew that he would have regretted it the same if not more should the blade have killed her for good. He harmed Elpis, the one he swore to never hurt. He hurt her because his selfish desires took over his brain. Things could still have been different, should he have been more patient.

Now he couldn't forget about her and he couldn't forgive himself.

The only choice was for him to keep moving forward.

And he would.

Chronicles of the primeval gods: Life and Death of Ishtar: Motivation

Chronicles of the primeval gods: Life and Death of Ishtar: Motivation

A/N: My poor Ishtar, so guilt-ridden. He spoke to me, so I gave him space.

xxxxx

The All-New-Father’s chambers, 11h15 pm, Primeval god’s pantheon:

Lonely, the New All-father was feeling lonely that night. Ishtar was laying on his bed, the fine drapes of his sheets were nonchalantly thrown upon his massive figure. His long black hair was cascading on his chest and the fresh air in the room had his skin covered in goosebumps. He watched the ceiling, only lightened by the moonlight and giving his room a blue tint and thought to himself that perhaps, adding a fresh company could warm up the cold atmosphere. His chambers were cold, despite the rich décor that surrounded him. His chambers were cold ever since Elpis betrayed them.

Nothing could have ever happened anyway. As far as he remembered, Elpis only bore fraternal feelings towards him, yet he still held onto the feeling to this day, hoping that somehow, someway, the goddess would see that her relationship with Pride was a dead-end and would come back to him. Love and desire prevented him from killing the love of his life but what good did it do to him? What did it bring Ishtar if not pain and misery? The Elpis he knew died on the day he stabbed her, cursing her into an eternal cycle of reincarnation. The sweet, soft and innocent creature he’d known had vanished from the moment he had betrayed her, and the brunet knew that nothing could fix their relationship.

Yet, he surprised himself with his hallucinations and constant daydreams about what could have been. Despite Ayasha and her (so-called) claims of falling in love with him, despite those carnal moments they both shared, nothing could compare to the illusions of the goddess of Hope and Light coming at him at any moment of the day, especially at night. On a night like this one, the sweet comfort felt by the presence of the pink-haired goddess was enough for the New All-Father. She was by his side, laid on her back and staring at the ceiling just like him. His black orbs set upon her and he watched her body, lit by the bright moonlight that made her skin glow.  He wanted to touch her, he wished for her to be real and real-enough she felt.  A soft chuckle crossed her plump lips and slowly she climbed on top of him, sitting her soft body on his lap. It elicited a moan from the god who quickly sat on the bed and rested against the wall.

“Elpis…” -He cupped her cheek and started to stroke the soft skin of hers. “I curse the day you met the Sin. I curse the day he took him away from me.”

“What are you talking about? I am right here, with you.” -Her voice, similar to the real goddess, almost to a fault. The line was blurred between reality and the illusion and for a brief second, the god thought it was her- “Perhaps you should focus on me instead of your curses.” She gave him a soft smile and slowly leaned into his warm palm. She pressed her lips to his skin and then went to his wrist. -

“You’re not real…. You…” -He paused for a minute- “would you have chosen me if I were to confess my true feelings for you before you met the Sin?” -His voice was filled with regret and his black orbs averted from her face to her chest. She was wearing little to nothing, the flimsy fabric of a pink nightgown covered her curves.  His eyes undressed her and then as a shiver possessed his spine, the god kept his hand on her neck, holding her firmly in place. She didn’t escape him.

“I would have, and deep down, I think you know that brother-mine. /I/ was the closest to you. We always were together, working hand in hand on battlefields. I would have been yours if you’d claimed me when you had the chance to.”  -The words he wished she had told him still hurt like knives. Listening to the goddess made him groan in pain, for he knew those weren’t really her words but his-

“I knew it. You wanted to be with me and I didn’t let you.” He started to whine and blame himself for this lie he’s been feeding his mind. He had no idea if whether or not she would have been with him – no he knew she wouldn’t have chosen him- but he still liked to imagine things to be the way he wished them to be.

“Why do you always complain when you see me?” The illusion asked, much to the shock of the New All-Father. “Don’t look at me with such a surprised look. Whenever I am here, it is always for moping and crying.”

“I still feel guilty over what I did to you, Elpis.” -He admitted, while his other hand slid underneath her nightgown. She grabbed him by the neck, squeezing it tightly while her eyes turned into golden pools.-

“Pathetic.” -She whispered to him while her hips started to rock against his lap. It elicited a groan from the god as he felt a shiver run down his spine. -

How many times had he dreamed of this? Of his sister riding him and taking him deep into her wet and warm cunt? How many times had he wished he could mate with his sibling? Flashes of their passionate romp filled his dreams, the sound of her voice saying un-holy words in his ear as he fucked her hard. How many times did he imagine her fingers sink into the hard skin of his shoulders, only to leave a trail of blood as she would scratch him until he bled? He would have been tender, loving, enjoying the softness and roundness of her curves while his lips would taste the delicate skin of her neck. He would have been a savage and would have fucked her into numbness. He would see her sweaty glistening body glow under the moonlight and the smile on her face. Oh, the smile, that smile... A sudden rush of adrenaline and arousal took over him and he grabbed the illusion’s neck back, forcing her to drop her arms on each side of her body and still look at him with a judgmental gaze.

“Not so insulting now, are you?” -He quipped, a grin on his lips-

“Finally! you cut the gentle brother’s act. You spent millennia wailing on your own for the loss of me, torturing yourself because you cursed me and took away your last chance at ever being loved by me. You’re here today, still overwhelmed with guilt and lust for me, dreading the day you would have to fight me.”

“Enough!” -Her words hurt even more. He refused to admit to himself that he dreaded the day Elpis and the Sin would come to the pantheon. -

“You dread the moment you will see me again because instead of lust and love in my eyes, you will read disgust and contempt. You will read hatred. you will read your end.”

“Enough!” -His voice boomed all over the place, making the walls shake as his red aura slowly spread across the room. -

The illusion vanished and Ishtar was left on his own in the cold room of the royal chambers.  His breathing was laboured, his chest heaved up and down slowly and he looked at the emptiness before him. Just a minute ago there had been Elpis in his room, the only time she’s ever been there. Just a minute ago she was riding him, teasing the god with her sensuality and then hurting him with her venom. He knew it was his own conscience that was talking through the illusion. It was his own heart that thought so little of him, his own mind that wanted him to get his comeuppance. Could it be that guilt had nested into his heart?

He stood up and flicked his wrist. A red energy coming from him spread across the room and destroyed some of the furniture inside. As the wooden night desk crumbled into small pieces, Ishtar stood up in a hurry. His long black locks cascaded on his back, the sheet fell onto the floor and the god, in all of his glory, stood with his hands curled into fists. It had to stop, the illusions, the guilt, the love. It had to stop and in order to make this happen, the New All-Father would have to kill Elpis with his own bare hands, but could he?

Chronicles of the Primeval gods: THE CHESS GAME PART III (recap)

Chronicles of the Primeval gods: THE CHESS GAME PART III (recap)

A/N : I wrote the last recap in 2019, now it's time to explain what happened since then.

Xxxxxx

What was going on? Ayasha realized she had lost control over Ishtar since Leviathan's death. Of course, the late god of the oceans planted the seed of rebellion in the mind of her brother, making it more and more difficult for her to manipulate him. Ishtar was what he was, difficult, violent, impulsive but he wasn't stupid. Once the light was shone upon the situation he was in, the truth started to prevail. He became distant with Ayasha, more commanding with her. He left her no window to manœuvre and manipulate him, which became frustrating.

Her loss of control induced a level of fear and anxiety unknown to the goddess. No matter what, she couldn't shake her fear off of her mind. Elpis was alive and well, and she still couldn't locate her. She still couldn't find her due to the sin's ancient spell, which only fueled Ishtar's anger and Ayasha's fear. They could strike at any moment now. Of course, the New All-Father rang the bells of war and was now preparing the remaining gods for the upcoming battle against Superbia and Elpis. Ayasha was still searching for a weapon or an artifact capable of unmaking Pride and had requested her brother to forge her a god-killing weapon so she could be even with Elpis.

Ishtar, while determined to destroy his sister and the sin once and for all, was having second thoughts. As usual, he was tormented by his guilt and the twisted love he felt for his sister. He had tried to seek his mother's support but she rejected him, still resentful for the death of the All-Father Khaos. The god of war knew that his hesitation to kill Elpis might come back during the last battle and was now trying to overcome his feelings for her. After all, she did betray the primeval gods by giving herself to a Sin. She betrayed her family, she betrayed him. He should have killed her 2000 years ago but he swore to fix his mistake, no matter how torn his heart would be afterward.

Ayasha, however, wasn't truly convinced that her brother would succeed in killing Elpis. She decided to foment a plan B, just in case the first battle wouldn't work. Still being blinded by the Sin, she wasn't able to see the truth of his relationship with Elpis but could speculate that they were getting along right now. However, should a third element be introduced to the pair, the probability of chaos was higher than usual because Elpis was known to be very jealous? Asma became obvious to the primeval goddess. Asma was the last host, the only host to have met Pride, and to have elicited emotions from him. She didn't die and was still very much roaming the Earth, so that meant Pride had a soft spot for the human.

The goddess of knowledge befriended the human in the following months. She decided to play it slow, make sure that Asma was visible enough for them to hear the news of her life in danger. She wanted to kill the doppelganger, or eventually put her in such a dire situation that the Sin would come to her rescue. Elpis would not accept to share her sin with someone else, regardless of what they did to help her and they would argue and destroy each other, or perhaps the sin would kill Elpis and Ayasha, who would have been ready to unmake him, would simply have to unmake Pride. The victory was ensured...Still.. this plan was flawed and there were far too many dead angles that Ayasha decided it would be safer to see their mother.

So Gaea was visited once again by the blonde goddess of knowledge. They clashed, as much verbally as their powers started to leak and influence the mortal realm. Yet, for the first time in eons, Ayasha finally pierced through the thick armor of her mother. As she exposed Gaea's true nature, the All-mother dismissed her, unable to accept that she wasn't as pure as she wanted to present herself. Gaea was scared of Elpis, she always had been. From her birth to this day, the All-mother knew her daughter had a terrifying power within her. She was, after all, the product of true love between Chaos and Gaea. A child who was  capable of both creation and destruction on a universal level. The other siblings were tasked with a singular mission. They were to contain her in a bubble, they were to manipulate her into submission and ensure she wouldn't tap into her true power. Of course, most didn't realize it was the mission but Ayasha figured it out rather quickly.

Gaea was scared because she kept having visions of her daughter taking her crown, unlocking her true potential, and punishing her for allowing Ishtar to stab her. Since the All-mother was plagued with nightmares, she was now considering cutting the « neutral act » and actively working against her daughter. Yet again, it wasn't certain. All that was, was that Elpis was now stronger by the minute, recovering from the energy depletion caused by the curse and discovering her new powers with Superbia. They were enjoying each other's presence while walking the Earth but Elpis was becoming more and more impatient with her revenge and more and more ambitious as well. Why stop at Earth when they could rule the universe? She requested Pride with forging her a god-killing weapon so she could be a worthy ally and partner when they launch the assault on the Primeval gods' pantheon.
