Ayasha was nervously walking in circles, fingers of her right hand were massaging her forehead as she was trying to keep her composure. Truth be told, how could she keep her composure when she noticed that her sister was growing in power? Ayasha's spies informed her about Gaea's loss of control over Fauna and Flora and this, coupled with the silence of her mother, led Ayasha to believe that Elpis was becoming more and more powerful. She tried to discuss the matter with her mother but Gaea refused to hear her out. She didn't want to know the truth and it was starting to rile up Ayasha who needed her mother to be combative. Her blonde locks fell onto her shoulders as she put her hands on the table. She tilted her head to the side and stared at her mother who reluctantly agreed to visit her children. Her brown eyes stared down at her daughter and she crossed her arms above her chest. 

"Why are you so nervous, Daughter?"

"How dare you ask, Mother? Why shouldn't I be nervous? You are losing control over nature! You are losing control to Elpis and you don't seem to care!"

"Tsssk..." She rolled her eyes and lifted her upper lip "Do you honestly think I should be worried about a daughter of mine? She is nothing to me, just one who pretends she can become the new All-Mother? Please, don't let me laugh. I made her! I made all of you!"

"Why are you so delusional, Mother?? What would it take for you to see the truth? Elpis is becoming powerful and she will become the new All-Mother whether you want it or not if you don't do shit!"

Gaea broke into a maniacal laughter. She couldn't help but enjoy the face her daughter made as fear was creeping into her heart. Ayasha had always pretended to be above weak emotions and to hold the true power, which was knowledge. She always prided herself in never panicking because she knew and she could plan in advance her next move. To see her lose her mind and shake in fear because of her sister was delightful to see for the goddess who couldn't help but laugh harder. Ayasha blushed and clenched her jaw at the sight of her mother laughing at her. That laughter was far more revealing than Ayasha first thought. Yes, Gaea was mocking her, but there was also fear laced with her laughter. She wasn't trying to convince Ayasha, no, she was trying to convince herself of her supremacy over Elpis. Why should she be afraid of her own daughter when she was the one who made her? Why should she? Why.... Was she? Ayasha dropped her head and started to chuckle. Quickly enough, the chuckle turned into a burst of laughter, and soon enough she was also manically laughing, louder and louder to the point of making the All-Mother stop.

"Why are you laughing?" -Ayasha didn't reply, instead, she simply laughed and held her sides- "Why... Why are you laughing like that?- 

It started to make the former queen shiver and cross her arms above her chest. Ayasha was still laughing. It was so ridiculous. It was doomed to be repeated. Her mother was scared of Elpis and refused to acknowledge the loss of power that was happening to her. For some reason, Life was starting to pledge allegiance to the one they considered their rightful leader. Fauna and Flora, including humanity, were placing their desires and Hopes on her. Gaea was useless to her. She couldn't help them, she didn't have the knowledge, so why was Ayasha trying to seek her mother's help and advice? Ayasha laughed, a hearty laugh at that. She was better than Gaea now. She was better than her own mother and that knowledge made her happier. It made her feel more powerful. She only had to find a way to kill her mother, to find a way to kill her sister.
