TB: Distracted

TB: Distracted

// Sara is starting to realize that she's missing Homelander. It takes place a couple weeks after they have started to see each other.

Sara was not focused on the rehearsals at all. She managed to complete the training session of the day but found herself in the bathroom of the gym. She poured some water on her towel and dabbed it on her neck. The singer was frustrated, mostly because she had never felt this way before.  Her career had always been a priority for her and she never lost focus on it until she met Homelander. Oh, don't get her wrong, Sara still wanted to be the best singer of her generation. She still wanted to be loved by the masses and intended to maintain her career. Still,  She bit her bottom lip and shook her head. What the hell was happening? Why did she feel so.. needy for him? Sara decided to take a break because she couldn't focus on the choreography and she didn't want her dancers to notice that her mind wasn't in the show. That break felt good because she could allow her mind to wander a bit and daydream about her man.

Surprisingly enough, Sara realized that while she missed the mind-blowing sex they always had when they were together, it really was his presence she was missing. She wanted to come home and find him there, already removing the costume and along with it, most of his defenses. She wanted to see him wander in her living room, wearing nothing but some grey flannel pants.  The thought made her smile and she bit her bottom lip. Sara was smitten with him, there was no denying that. She wanted to be in his arms and it dawned on her that she was missing him. Why else could she be this distracted when she was at work? Why else was she thinking of him, unprovoked? She was missing Homelander. She was missing John. That was cheesy. Sara knew it but she couldn't help herself. She was cheesy. Homelander... well, John... gave her his full attention. He enjoyed her company and he was eager to spend time with her, to talk to her, to touch her. He wanted to make her feel good and he wanted to keep her happy.

No one ever cared about her the way he was caring. Yes, Homelander was unhinged! Yes, Homelander was violent! Yes, Homelander killed people, including one man in public! But he never was violent with her. he never was dismissive with her. There was a connection, a true one that was beyond anything she'd ever known. She never had to hide who she really was. Sara was appreciated, sought after, loved even. Sara was who he wanted and Unnamed Girl was not a problem for him. He never felt threatened by her fame. He never wanted her to stop being Unnamed Girl or to only be her. She was herself and he liked every bit of it... How could she not want to see him again?  She splashed water on her face and put her hand over her chest. She wanted to see him again. She wanted to talk to him, to look at his face, and to let her hand stroke his hair. She was... attached to him, so fast that it should have rang some bells, but did Sara care about it? Not at all. She didn't. She simply wanted to be with him. She simply needed to be with him and in order to make it happen, she would text him about how much she was missing him.
