GoT: The hardest thing

The hardest thing to do wasn't to get the queen's blessings. No, the hardest had yet to come. Jaime could foresee it, he already tried to warn the princess about the vitriol she was about to get for being betrothed to the most hated man of Westeros. She was bold, she was kind,  and she was really naive to think that she could whistand the force of such hatred all by herself. Perhaps he was underestimating her, because Bäahal had already faced worse than a couple of people spitting at her face or  refusing to acknowledge her consort.

That would be the hardest, and Jaime hated the fact the princess would be shedding a lot of tears in the future. She was stubborn and she chose him, so the only thing he could do, was to prove that he would be there, by her side. He would dry her tears and would hold onto her so she would never feel alone. Jaime wanted to protect his princess, and more than anything he wanted to see her smile and be happy, but life had other plans for the two of them. Still, at the corner of his lips, there was a faint smile and at the bottom of his heart there was a warmth he couldn't deny. They could marry, finally, and he intended to do it.
