"I would give everything to be able to smile again and live as my authentic self without being afraid. I think about my mother, from time to time. I think about how she would have reacted upon seeing me today. I like to think she would be smiling because her little girl is now a grown woman, who endured and faced hardship with compassion. I hope she can see me from where she is and can talk to the gods old and new on my behalf. I wish... I wish she would have said that she was proud of me. I wish... I wish she could have held me in her arms one last time. I miss my mother. I miss her so much."
