He was unhinged and dangerous. Sara was aware of it, hell, the whole world knew that you didn't mess with the Homelander unless you wanted to be lasered. He was unhinged, violent, and brutal.
Sara slowly started to realize that she had an impact on him. Somehow, when he was in her presence, she managed to calm him down and turn a big anger into something better.
He was a big monster to some, the ultimate hero to others but to Sara, he was just Homelander. He was just... John and she grew to like the man he was when they were just together.
