Klasma: Of gods and monsters

Elijah wasn't comfortable with the idea of his brother leaving Mystic Falls. He was upset at the idea that his whole family was scattered all over the globe, with Rebekah staying in Europe and far away from the rest of the family and Klaus being on the run with a witch. Elijah felt that he was losing control over his family and because of his inability to lead, they were now falling apart. He was the most worried about Nëela and the rogue witches that were hunting her down. It was never a good mix, come to think of it, a witch, rogue witches, and now his brother thrown into it. What good could come from it, if not another disaster? Truth be told, Elijah was upset he couldn't reach out to Neela and control her like he used to. She wasn't an asset anymore since Klaus discovered her existence and now that they seem to have found one another, who could predict what would happen next? He was worried, well, upset would be more accurate.

Marcel talked to him, paying the Original a courtesy visit to discuss the matters of Klaus's rescue by the witch. Elijah tried to keep his emotions in check and hide the relief that crossed his mind when he learned that Klaus had been saved by Nëela. Marcel caught him flinch a little bit and decided to probe a little more into the Mikaelson's mind. He wanted to know who was Nëela and what exactly was his connection to her. She was a witch none of them had heard from before and she had caused such a ruckus in New Orleans that it caught Marcel's attention. Elijah didn't answer, he didn't owe Marcel an explanation about his actions but he conceded that Neela was powerful, far older than the average witch, and with a very stubborn personality. "Perhaps you should be careful with your pets. The one you let go of seems to be quite a dangerous one." a pet? Was Nëela a pet? The word didn't sit well with Elijah who shrugged it off and pointed a forefinger at Marcel. "She's not a pet. Watch your mouth Marcel because this little witch saved Rebekah more than once. She saved you. She saved the rest of the family more than I care to admit. She's not a pet! But you're right about being worried. Leave her alone and you'll be fine. As a matter of fact, leave Klaus alone too." As if Marcel could do something like this. Elijah lost his patience and stood up, running his hand over his face. Klaus was alive, he had been rescued by Nëela and the two of them were heading out of Mystic Falls. So why was he worried?
