Doya: "We're together in this."

Oya watched Dean clean her injuries. He was swift in his stitching and soon enough, the open wound was stitched and cleaned.  Dean was focused on his fingers so he couldn't see that Oya was looking at him. Her soft hazel eyes set upon him and she winced a little. The left side of her face was still swollen and painful, but she was used to it so it didn't really matter. Instead, the hunter glanced at her husband. How did she get so lucky? Here he was, a loving and doting partner who was making sure that she was safe and sound. Here he was, hunting with her, fighting monsters and saving lives. She had found her home with him, and the  desire to keep going and protect their peace of mind. She looked at her arms, at the deep scars left on them, a reminder of her recklessness when she was fighting the monster that slaughtered her family. It was a reminder of the pain she felt, and the numbness that almost cost her life.

It seemed so far away...That feeling of having no purpose in life and of being so insignificant that her death would not be mourned, it was gone. She was in such a better place these days. She was in a better place with Dean and couldn't imagine to live a life without him. She gently put her hand over his, prompting him to look up at her face and  smile at her. "I love you, Dickhead. my face is fucking hurting right now otherwise I'd kiss you right now." He chuckled and gently stroked her soft skin with his thumb. "Well, I can kiss you where you don't hurt. Like your hand." He said, grabbing her hand and kissing the back of it. "Or your knee." He released her hand but she shook her head and  gently tapped her forehead with her forefinger. "Nah... I'd rather have a kiss here." She grinned and he bent forward, pressing his lips to her forehead. "Do you feel better?" She nodded and wrapped her arms around his shoulders. "We're together, that's what matters the most."
