COPG: Acceptance

(Elpis)

She anticipated the moment her beloved would set her free. As the dreaded fight against Leviathan was closer, the seal became weaker and allowed the goddess to speak to her host without having to go through dreams anymore. Elpis was impatient now, the guilt she ever felt about her host had vanished now that Pride figured a way to preserve her life. Her memory would be wiped and it would be as if she had never met the sin. With that knowledge in mind and the reluctant acceptance of the host, Elpis could now dream of a better tomorrow.

For millennia she was locked away, forgotten by everyone while her memory was intact. She remembered gods as they were, she remembered Pride as he was. She was aware that he despite having his memory of her returned, he could not possibly feel the same way anymore. He had lived his life as if they had never met, he was a worse version of the Sin, one that never mellowed due to her influence, one that went so far into darkness that he might have been lost to her. She was aware of their bond being non-existent, to some extent.
Anger clouded her judgment for now. Her thirst for revenge and her desire to decimate her enemies got the best of the goddess. The seed he planted in her when they met took its time to mature and was on the verge of blossoming. She was wrath about to fall upon the primeval gods.
But she was light, still. She was Hope, still. She was his Yin and she was determined to remind him of this, even if that meant she had to start it all over again. She was his and he was hers and she would be damned if she didn't try to remind him. Once she was freed from her prison...
It only was a matter of time now.
