Doya: Penny for your thoughts

A/ N: Just a tender moment between these two.

Men of Letters Bunker, Sunday night, 11:25 pm

Oya and Dean were laying on the bed, both sweaty and catching their breaths. Oya's left hand was running through her thick black mane, preventing it from falling into her face. She had pulled the sheets up her chest and was holding onto it with her right hand. Dean was on his back as well, staring at the ceiling and relishing in the brief moment of calm that settled between the two of them. He was lost in his thoughts and nobody, not even Oya could tell what he had in mind. Usually, after they had sex, Oya was always thinking of their next case or their next meal. She was thinking of what she would like to eat or the places she wanted to go and visit.

Sometimes, when her mind wasn't frivolous, Oya was thinking of her family. Of their reactions about learning their daughter had a special bond with one of the Winchester brothers. Her dad would have liked Dean's experience and focus on the job. However, he would have warned Oya about Dean's locked heart and huge emotional baggage he would think she wasn't ready to handle. Her mother would welcome the brothers into their family, just like that, because she was very loving. She would have considered them her sons and would have taken care of them. Her brother would have embraced them as well. He was a competitive man but he had a good heart.

Oya never shared those thoughts, because she was unable to communicate due to the excruciating pain she experienced whenever her family was brought on the table. It wasn't taboo per say, but it was something she avoided. Her hazel eyes shifted from left to right as the thoughts of the evening were much more pleasant. She was focused on Dean. On how he made her feel at this moment or how comfortable she was in that bedroom that somehow also became hers. Her heart was beating so fast and so hard that she was able to feel it. Sure, they just had sex but there was something else. It was the mere thought of him that had her heart speed race. It brought a sheepish smile on her face and she bit her bottom lip. In a matter of years, he took most of the space she had in her mind and filled her shattered heart with something she couldn't name. Something good, something to hold onto. In a matter of years, they had a routine that became vital to the hunter. She enjoyed going on a solo mission, kicking ass on her own and coming back bruised because she put up a big fight. She enjoyed sending him sexts and enjoyed even more when she came back home, to Sam and to him.

It made her turn around to lay on her side and look at him. Dean was still deep in his thoughts but he had a smile on his face and looked rather happy, much to Oya's liking. The blonde hunter glanced at her as he felt her gaze upon him and turned his face to look at her. Oya was smiling, which always seemed to make him happy too. She rubbed his shoulder and planted a kiss on it.

« Penny for your thoughts. » -Dean chuckled and shook his head.-

« Trust me, you don't want to be in my head. » -She pouted but kissed his shoulder again.-

« Well, if you want to scare me, you've failed. » -Oya let her fingers run over his waist and then looked up at his face.-

« I'm not trying to scare you. » He grumbled, his voice raspy from the previous romp. She smiled and cupped his cheek with the hand that once was on his waist. « I'm just saying the truth, you wouldn't want to know what's in my head. »

« I don't need to know everything you have in mind. I just wanted to know if you were feeling as good as I was, right now. » She had this intense look in her face, the one that sent Dean shivers down his spine. « And for the record, I am not scared of you... » She leaned her forehead against his chest, feeling his torso heave up and down.

Dean didn't say anything. He simply wrapped his arm around her shoulder and pulled her closer to his strong and taller frame. Oya felt good against him, he couldn't really explain why but he got used to having her around, in his room, in his bed, next to him and she knew he did because she felt it in her core. She felt it in the way he was looking at her or holding her at night. She felt it in the way he always knew how to calm her before she stressed out -which only happened when angels/demons or children were involved-. She felt it in the ways he made sure to bring a smile to her. The smallest gestures. He planted a kiss on her forehead and then at the top of her head before she slowly pulled away to look at him again.

« Penny for your thoughts. » He finally said after she spent almost a minute looking at him in silence.

« I am craving a cheeseburger right now. » She said, making Dean chuckle. « No, really! I am starving. You exhausted me! » She fake-complained before she felt his hand cup her cheek again.

« Well, we can fix that. » He grinned at her, making Oya blush a little and roll her eyes.

«Good because I could eat an elephant right now. »

She felt her heart beat faster than earlier and realized that it was because he had his hand on her cheek. At this very moment, she enjoyed the contact of their skins, the warmth from his touch and the intensity of his green eyes that looked at her and nothing else. Her hands laid on his chest, her fingers gently pressed against his skin as she wanted to feel his heartbeats. His heart was beating at a steady pace, maybe a little faster than usual because they'd just exhausted themselves or maybe a little slower than usual, she couldn't tell right now. She just felt it. Dean's large hand was holding onto her cheek a little harder, his fingers were lost in her thick black mane and his palm was pressed against her face. Oya smiled at the hunter and let him move forward so his lips could kiss hers. Oya kept her hands on his chest and returned his kiss, her plump lips pressed against his slowly. She enjoyed Dean's taste and the fact that his kiss was actually very tender. He took his time, interspersing them with a soft smile while she let her fingers gently scratch his chest. She pulled away from him and ran her hand up his body to hold onto a fist of his blonde mane. A chuckle escaped her lips and she pressed her lips eagerly against his.

« I want my burger now. I could very much eat something else.. » she gave him a knowing look. « But my stomach is upset and I need some fuel. » He chuckled and leaned his head against her chest. Oya wrapped her arms around his neck and pressed a kiss at the top of his head.

« I got the message. » He playfully answered.

« I know. » Oya wanted to say more.

She could have told Dean just how much he meant to her. That she chose to stay in their lives because she loved both of them. That she chose to sleep in his room for more than just because he could make her nightmares go away. That despite saying she was welcoming Death and prepared for her own demise, she secretly didn't want to die that soon because she wanted to come back to Dean and Sam... to Dean.. to him. His name made her smile whether she read it on her phone or said it. His face sent shivers down her spine. He did that to her and she didn't know how to handle that truth. Well, she did know. It felt good, there in this room, nothing could happen to them. Nothing would.

And nothing did.
