Chronicles of the primeval gods: Life of ELpis: Goddess of Hope

Hope is dead! Long live Hope!
Elpis was cursed and for 2000 years she had to watch people forget about her.
Day after Day, mortals and gods alike forgot about her existence, stopped worshipping her.
Day after Day, there was nothing left, not even a husk  once her substance was removed.
There was nothing left. Memories were erased, her own beloved was unmade.
The world was grey.

Hope is dead! Long live Hope!
It could have been easier for the goddess to simply accept her fate.
She would have stayed in her reincarnation cycle until the end of times.
She would have heard her siblings gloat about their victories...Human celebrate them.
Power was lost... Power was stolen. Ishtar was now the New-All-Father... Ayasha his queen.
Her mother ran away and her beloved was remade. The world was grey.

Hope is dead! Long live Hope!
Pride set her free, forced the world to fully remember her and acknowledge her presence.
They remembered  in great fashion what had always been missing in their lives.
They remembered and resumed worshipping the goddess with a fierce dedication.
Elpis was back, Hope was whole again
The world was in colour.

Hope is dead! Long Live Hope!
Her power didn't come back in full force in a snap of a finger, no, it was progressive.
She became stronger as time went by, rivaling the power of the All-Mother Gaea.
And the more she spent time with her worshippers, the stronger she became.
Her light bathed this new world, brought it back on its feet
Her Hope shone through darkness... A goddess reborn.

And now, at the tip of her fingers, there was something she was about to grasp,
Her supremacy!
