DOYA they could breathe

Doya: They could breathe.

// Always loving on these babies :D

They could breathe. After such a long time spent holding their breaths, they could finally breathe. Oya and Dean were two broken souls. Both had been deceived, betrayed, and destroyed because of life and its promises. It came to a point where they were dreading their dreams because reality was much worse than the nightmares they could ever have. There was a time when both would have laughed at anyone suggesting they could meet a partner, make a life for themselves in the brutal world they were born into. There was a time indeed. Both had known what it was to seek quick release and fake company from one-night stands. They had known the empty beds, the cold sheets and the mornings waking up to strangers met the night before. It was Shame that consumed them, it was the dreadful sense of loneliness. They felt lonely, in spite of the company they got and at some point, saving the world becomes so dangerous that even the short-lived company of people sought at night became impossible to get. It just wasn’t important enough.

At least that was what they thought before they met each other. They found each other when they weren’t expecting it anymore. Dean had just had to give up on an apple pie Life with Lisa, had learned he had fathered two children, learned his father had another son (aside from Adam, there was also Jacob) and that there probably was no hope left for him. Oya had just moved back to America, after spending years hunting the creature that slaughtered her family. She had lost a dear friend of hers, perhaps the only friend she had that wasn’t related to the supernatural world. She was on a suicide mission, determined to be killed by the very creature she was hunting. How could she go on living, knowing she was responsible for the decimation of her family? how could she go on living, knowing she always made the worst choices and would end up hurting herself in the process. Love was not an option. So, none of them were looking for Love when they met. It was Love who found them when they did. Little by little, good calls and bad mistakes and misunderstandings ended up bringing the two lost souls together.

They went from Partners to Lovers after a while, once they realized that they couldn’t imagine their lives without each other. It came naturally, starting with small habits and life together. It came through the passionate love-making that made them feel fulfilled and complete. It came from their mutual touch of affection and a willingness to open up to each other. Oya fell head over heels for the hunter, she fell in love with Team Free Will who became her family, she fell in love with Life again and so did Dean. That was why they were both excited to be together and happy with their lives. That was why they were both upset when something happened to the other and scared to lose one another. With Love came regrets, with it came fear, and with it came the desire to live even more fiercely.  And perhaps that was the most difficult thing to deal with. Both wanted to die at some point in their lives. Both had made peace with the idea of dying and yet, Love had made them want to have a few more minutes together, a few more days… a few more decades.

They could breathe. Finally! After so long trying to find a sense of their miserable lives, they had the answer. They found each other. Oya wanted to wake up to Dean every morning. She wanted to make love to him every day, and watch him relax next to her body. The ebony hunter wanted to bring him ugly aprons after her solo cases and wanted to watch him cook for them. Oya wanted to run her fingers through his dirty blonde mane while staring at his green eyes. She wanted it all. She wanted him whole. Dean wanted to make Oya happy. That was his main goal. He wanted to see her smile and blush and shrug her shoulders. He wanted to hear her fail and coming up with a nice comeback. He wanted to hear her laugh and let his hands run over her thighs. He loved to hear her snore at night and he loved to hug her tightly when she was having a nightmare so he could soothe her. But what they both loved the most was to work cases together and watch each other kick the ass of monsters. There was no doubt about it.

They could breathe! At long last! Pluto might have still been around. His name was still making Oya shiver and Dean’s skin crawl, at least tonight they weren’t thinking about him. tonight was all about them in their bedroom. Tonight it was about letting go and giving into each other. It was about Oya taking charge of their unwinding. It was about her guiding Dean’s head in between her legs and allowing him to stop thinking for a whole night. It was about them loving each other and getting ready to work a case together. They could breathe…at long last!
