Elpis x Ayasha: Admiration

Elpis

Ayasha couldn't stomach Elpis. It went beyond the fact she was their father's favorite or that she was coveted by so many gods while Ayasha remained unfairly unnoticed. Ayasha wasn't concerned about physicality, and she didn't care about love and its afflictions. Her issue with Elpis was about power. Ayasha quickly understood how powerful her sister was and how powerful and influential she would become. The goddess of knowledge's ambition was to rule supreme. She wanted to destroy everything, every potential pantheon and become the only deity to be worshipped. She knew that it would become difficult to achieve with her perfect sister as competition. It became even more complicated when she started to see the sin. Sins were weapons, powerful weapons designed by Hades. Ayasha knew that they would prove to be a problem if she didn't plan ahead. She knew they were not seeing eye to eye and plotted to destroy Pride and wanted to use this to take the competition out. She wanted the wolves to eat each other and clear the path to power. She also wanted to eliminate Elpis but Ishtar failed at it. Now, he had unleashed a potential beast onto her.

Elpis was two-faced, complex..like all of them. She was the beacon of light but the seeds of darkness existed within her and blossomed when she met Pride. Ayasha envied her raw power, the sheer destruction she caused when she wiped out the Sumerian Pantheon. Ayasha envied how confident and beautiful Elpis was when she came back from her carnage, her hands soaked with blood, her clothes ruined with the pieces of brain and guts of her fallen enemies all over her. Ayasha was stunned when her baby sister walked back home, a full grown woman, a hurricane who couldn't be stopped. She was angry and for a brief fleeting moment, Ayasha was mesmerized by her sister. Admiration took the place of Envy for a minute, just enough for the golden goddess to forget about her grief. She witnessed her sister's violent penchant, she witnessed her bloodthirst and she knew that the more time spent with the Sin would impact on Elpis and draw her to the darkness. Did she have a plan in case Elpis was free? Not really. She counted on Ishtar to fight and finish his job. She counted on Pride's siblings to try and destroy him. She would try and find how to unmake the Sin and how to kill her sister if it came to it, but deep down, Ayasha was thrilled. Somehow, Elpis was her nemesis and while she wanted to reign supreme, she also wanted an enemy worth of her time and power. And Elpis was it.
