Doya : A much needed break -

Doya : A much needed break -

A/N: I love our babies. I just wanted them to have a little break after all that had happened. they need to heal a little bit :)

Xxx

Oya yawned and leaned into her chair. She rubbed her neck and pushed her laptop to the side After spending months working on the hardest cases, Oya decided it was time for them to take a break. She brought her feet up in the chair and wrapped her arms around her legs. Truth be told, so much happened in such little time. First, it was her encounter with Pluto that almost left her for dead. If she had not been saved by Castiel, she would have died on the spot. The deity was extremely powerful, far more than any usual pagan god and she was wondering why. She knew they needed to be worshipped and realized that today, there was a paganism rise. More people turned to old folks' beliefs and a lot were worshipping pagan gods once again. It was the only explanation the ebony hunter had, as to why Pluto was alive and stronger than he should have been.

Tapping her fingers against her knee to soothe herself, Oya could still remember the fear she felt after her encounter with the god. She was about to die, and the thought of losing Dean and leaving him behind truly terrified her. She couldn't imagine him navigate in a world where she wasn't and knew he would rush into danger headfirst. It almost happened when they ran into the god during one of their cases. Dean nearly went to confront him, they even argued, he broke things in the motel room.. she hated those moments but was still there when he needed her. Oya wouldn't have let Dean on his own, especially not when he was upset like that.

Watching Dean break the motel room unphased Oya. It wasn't the first time, nor the last that he would express his anger and anguish through violence against objects. He would never hurt her, and would never put he in non-work related danger, so she never felt like she should leave him alone or fear him. Watching Dean break the motel room, however, helped her make sure he wasn't alone, even in those moments. She would quickly come to him and comfort him. She would quickly find a way to make him feel better without having to say a single word (or really, just very few of them.).The Winchester had a really hard time processing that he let the creature that nearly killed his girlfriend, goes scot-free. He didn't stop Pluto, he didn't even talk to him. He had been in the same location as him and Oya didn't tell him she saw her attacker. That was driving him crazy, even after they came back from Joshua's hospital.

Joshua.. that was another hard blow for the ebony hunter. She nearly lost her « brother » to a Daeva. Dean had been a great support to her, helping her through the horror of it all when all she wanted to do was scream and rush into killing whatever hurt the hunter. Oya would have been reckless if it wasn't for Dean. She would have been killed if it wasn't for him. She wouldn't have been able to visit him at the hospital if it wasn't for Dean. This traumatic event brought them closer to each other again, and Oya was reminded -not that she had forgotten-, just how much Dean meant to her. He was with her through thick and thin, through the hardest hunts to the most traumatic events. He had been caring, bringing her comfort while they were working together to find out what the hell attacked the man. He had been sweet to her at night when they were exhausted and bruised and slept together in their motel room's bed. He had been listening to her talk and ramble about angels, death, and how unfair life was at this point. He listened, he cuddled, he kept her close to his heart.

So enough of this, enough of pain today. They were home, they took a shower together, ate some food he cooked, and this afternoon, Oya decided she didn't want to read new cases or try and find something to do. She shook her head and glanced over her shoulder to Dean who was sleeping on the couch. He had been driving a lot lately and their last case did take a lot from them physically too. Dean had been very quiet, and she knew he probably pushed aside his sleeping need and maybe a few bruises she noticed in the shower earlier on. He was relaxed, holding a magazine in his hand with the tv turned on and some telenovela playing. A smile crept on her lips and she unfolded her arms and quietly walked towards him. She grabbed a blanket that was on the table and slowly sat on the couch. She wanted to be careful and not wake him up, but the Winchester felt the shift on the couch. He woke up but kept his eyes shut, knowing Oya would still try and not wake him up. She leaned against his frame, finally sleeping next to him on the couch.

« I could never sleep in anyone's bed, you know? Not even a couch... » She whispered to him, while she stroked his cheek with her warm right hand's palm. « After all those years and all I want right now is still to cuddle you. »

« I don't think anyone but me would let you in their bed. They would grow tired of you kicking them out. » He mused, making her roll her eyes as she realized he wasn't sleeping.

« How long have you been awake? » She asked, rolling on her side, so he could wrap his arms around her frame and pull her closer to his hard chest.

« As soon as you decided to jump on the couch. »

He let on, a chuckle escaped his lips and he stroked her belly. She was so warm against him. He enjoyed the sensation of her locks tickling his face and the warm and toned curves of the short ebony hunter. She was so small, and yet so strong against him. The fact he couldn't see her face didn't bother him. Instead, that made the blonde hunter press himself a little harder against her frame. He wanted to keep her close to him, to let her feel he was happy she was here and he was relaxed. He enjoyed the moment and he had lost enough people in his life to learning how to enjoy each moment of peace.

They were doing good, no major injuries for any of them, no loss. He still had to deal with his strong desire to find Pluto and kill this son of a bitch, but the only thought he had was to enjoy the moments he had with Oya. He wanted to make sure she knew he valued the time spent with her and he couldn't do without her hands in his hair, the ugly apron, the jokes, and laughter. He couldn't do it without her anymore. He didn't want her to just get up and leave him because she wouldn't feel at home anymore. She had been through a lot lately, and while she put on a smile and a strong façade, the seasoned hunter could tell she was still shaken by the recent events. He wanted her to feel good and cocooning together seemed like a very good idea, at least for the time being.

« Bummer! I wanted to sleep with you, hoping you would not wake up from me shifting on the couch. » She moaned out, «Well, if you don't have an issue with me sleeping next to you, Dickhead, that'll swell. » He chuckled and pressed a kiss to her shoulder.

« I don't see any issue, Bitch. » He whispered before he quietly placed a kiss on her shoulder. « I would have invited you to join if I was awake. » He teased her with, making her roll her eyes again and puff out her cheeks because she didn't have a comeback. He was right.

« Alright..... Let's just stay like this for a while then... I don't need anything else, right now. »

He didn't say anything, for there was no need for it. They didn't need anything else but each other together, sleeping on the couch, enjoying each other. There was no need for anything else but this moment. The rest be damned.
