Baahal x Jaime: she didn't loathe him

//credit to the artist. I haven't found the name yet//

He was the one who awoke the dragon inside and somehow she was grateful he did. He was the one who lit the fire in her heart, the one that made her purple hues burn with anger and power. He was the one who had her admit she was terrified of Life. Of tasting the good it had to offer, of coming to realize she could lose it all with a snap of a finger. He was the one whose story warned her of the danger of Love. Of how far it could make you go, of how much you could lose yourself to it. Jaime was a cautionary tale all by himself.

He was loathed by others, hated even for what he did or didn't do. Forever cursed by the only good deed he'd ever done. Forever alone for being a hero and mocked for being half a man because he lost his hand. To the princess, he was none of that. She didn't loathe him for killing her father, she didn't hate him for siding with Cersei. She didn't think less of him because he had lost a hand. Yes, he was arrogant, delusional, a fool but he wasn't an evil man. she saw it in his eyes, honest and blunt, brutal emerald hues that stared at her, determined to shake her off of her delusions. She didn't care that he had lost a limb for she lived with those who were considered properties. She lived with the imperfect humans, those who were stepped on by the queens and kings and lords of this world. Jaime was nothing but humbled and found grace in his condition. She respected him even if he was the enemy.

He was a Lion and she was a dragon, two creatures destined to eat each other. Two creatures destined to hate on the other and yet here she was, unable to do so. for now.
