Chronicles of the primeval gods: life of Elpis : Patience and planning

It was becoming harder for the Sin to conceal the power of the Goddess of Light. He lamented that it was easier with the human host because the curse made it easier for him.  but gone was the curse and along with it the concealment of the goddess tremendous power. She grew far more powerful than she used to be within a human year. freed from her prison and shackles, the goddess was able to restore her name among mortals. they learned to pray to her again and with just a snap of a finger, she regained her power. Pride noticed the changes, first came the ability to bring to life whatever she touched, even in the underworld. Then came the sparkles when they touched. Then she was in touch with the planet, feeling it more and more. She could communicate with most of the wildlife with a simple thought, could feel an Earthquake that took place in another country, was able to have perfect control over her power in a small room.

How could he forget the carnage that took place in Vancouver? how could she forget the perfect fusion between her power and Pride's? There was no survivor once they both started to influence the puny souls there were attending the gala. Pride remembered the sensation he felt when she was dancing against him when their energies mixed together and turned the whole place into a carnival of debauchery and carnage. At this moment, seeing her in action, it became obvious that her powers became stronger. Other feats achieved to convince both of them that Elpis had reached the levels of the All-Mother Gaea and that she was strong enough to topple the current All-Mother and become the new one. so much power was within her grasp and the desire to overcome her mother became more and more important. with such power, she could truly become the equal of her beloved. with such power, she could help him. with such power, they could conquer the whole world. So why wouldn't she want to become the New-All-Mother?

It was becoming harder for the Sin to conceal his beloved's power, and he knew that the more powerful he would become, the harder it would be to hide her from the prying eyes of Ayasha and the thirst for revenge her brother Ishtar had. Pride had to calculate everything. he had to make sure that no matter what, he would be able to protect his beloved, his Light from the harm promised by her siblings and pantheon. Their next move was simple, in order to ensure victory, Pride had to forge a weapon for Elpis so she could join him in battle. Defeating the All-Mother was nothing but vanity at this point and Elpis was determined not to let her desire for revenge take over. Proper revenge would need her pantheon gone. Her mother was too much of a coward to come put an end to this, so there still was some time ahead.  Elpis would have her revenge on everyone who wronged her and her King. Pride was certain he would get vindicated, but for now they needed to be patient and plan.
