COPG: Life and Death of Ishtar: losing sanity.

"He knew by now, that Elpis' influence was far more powerful than he anticipated. He was still carrying the weight of his guilt and as she grew more powerful, it grew even heavier. Ishtar, the older brother, the shoulder she used to lay on had betrayed his beloved sister. he had betrayed her out of jealousy for Superbia, and out of a selfish desire to claim the goddess for himself. he couldn't reconcile his true desires with the image he projected to her. he was not a noble God. He wasn't a hero. He was self-serving like the rest of them. He was a hypocrite who didn't hesitate to stab his own sister.

Yes, he would try to find an excuse for his despicable actions. He would try to claim that passion had him do what he shouldn't have done. he would try to claim that he wasn't thinking because his feelings were overwhelming. he would try to claim that he had no other choice but to let Ayasha convince him that it was for the best of the family.  Was it, really? Was it for the best? Ishtar knew better than to lie. His lies ate at him and he had crossed the point of no return already. His guilt plagued him, Despair overcame his resolve. Elpis had won way before they fought that last battle. She had won because the New All-Father had lost his sanity and was now hoping to have the means to destroy his sister once and for all. He Hoped."
