No matter how convincing her voice was,
He knew how she truly felt when he looked into her eyes,
She couldn't hide the love she felt for him,
It was eating her alive, blowing her mind away,
It was like a burning thousand suns and freezing cold stars,
It gave her shivers down her spine and took her breath away,
How could one love someone that much?
How could one confess such feelings?
She was scared of losing it all if she ever dared let him know, let him feel,
But unlike many others, unlike those monsters in her mind,
He simply bent forward, cupped her cheek, and stole a kiss,
He loved her with all his mighty heart,
It was just too much for words,
For none could explain how he was truly feeling,
None could let her know how much he needed her,
Her love, her warmth, her strength, her light
For she was the light in his darkness,
His anchor on this troubled sea he was sailing on.
She was his everything, his very world, his reason d’être.
And for her, he would have trespassed any law, any danger.
For him, she would have done the same, even more.
For her life was worth living when he was in it.
His life was worth living, ONLY when she was in it. ~
