GoT modern: "Family Feud."

GoT modern: "Family Feud."

// That aunt really is trying to shit on her family.  Bäahal is having none of it.

Visenya Targaryen was relentless. It became obvious over the weeks that she wanted her cousin's children to lose their power and influence in the Targaryen Family. She had always resented Aerys II, mostly because unlike them, he managed to survive and make their family flourish. He managed to become the family leader, the beacon of hope for the rest of them who should become a role model of what to do in order to become relevant in the modern Westerosi society. When people looked at him, they didn't see a deposed royal family. They didn't associate the name with poverty, nor did they make a mockery of the family. Visenya acknowledged her cousin's positive impact on the family but she resented him and his foolish choices. She resented him for cheating on his wife and bringing a bastard child to the family. He stained his own legacy with the living proof of his actions. He insulted his ancestors and his lineage with this child coming out of nowhere. It was probably the worst thing he could have done to his family. Bäahal had nothing to do with their family. She couldn't possibly represent their values.

How could she, when she was flaunting her body on photoshoots or in the tabloids? How could she when she wanted to dance, but not in order to become a ballerina, oh no! She tried to dance those commoners' types of dances her mother was known for. Visenya hated her guts. She tried to make that child pay during family reunions by not addressing her when Bäahal was younger, to becoming saltier when Bäahal became a young adult.  She always reminded her that she wasn't a full Targaryen because her mother wasn't one and therefore, she could never claim the name for herself. She always made sure that no one in the family offered anything for Christmas or her birthdays. You could say that she was leading a vendetta against the young woman. These days she had decided to go on the record, in order to diss Bäahal even more and question her niece's right to become the head of the family. Bäahal read the interviews, and she saw her aunt on tv, spitting her venom with thinly veiled remarks. It bothered her, and it bothered her siblings who had decided that perhaps this would be the best time for a truce and to work together to snuff the rebellion before it started. Game on, Visenya! Game on!
