Klasma: "Longing"

Klasma: "Longing"

// Just because I was thinking of her. listening to "praying for time" - Georges Michaels

She twirled her pink locks, her golden eyes were staring at the ceiling and her other hand was on her belly. How strange for the witch to be thinking of someone else than Elijah. She had never thought that meeting with the Hybrid could have such an impact on her life. It was never supposed to become such a strong bond, yet it only took a couple weeks for the witch to fall for him. What she mistook for carnal desire was in fact a deep connection happening in real-time. What were the odds of her meeting with the only person in the whole world who could understand her ordeal? What were they? She couldn't tell but she was certain they were pretty low.  He went on his mission, to take care of enemies she knew nothing about. He left Mystic Falls and she had not heard from him for a couple weeks now.

The witch should have been able to focus on her work. on anything, really. She should have been able to go back to how things were, but in reality, she was unable to do so. How could she? How could she when all her heart wanted was to be next to Klaus? She wanted to talk to him and spend days and nights sharing their thoughts on the world and their discoveries. They both were immortals who have experienced centuries of cultural evolution. How fascinating it was for her to talk about painting, which Klaus was excellent at, and sing songs for him, which was a skill she honed over centuries. Her body wanted to touch him, her hands wanted to draw arabesques on his chest. Her lips wanted to taste his skin and feel the softness of his kisses. Mary wanted to hear him say her name, with the very domineering tone of his, confident, playful at times. Her neck was aching for his fangs, for she wanted him to drink from her.

How could one miss someone that much? Had she not been a witch, someone could have said that she had been bewitched by the Hybrid, but she knew better. She knew that it was her heart that was screaming for him.  It wasn't the first time that the woman had fancied someone, but it was the first time that the bond was deep. She didn't need anything from Klaus: no need for protection, no need for power, no need for immortality because she had all of this. She wanted companionship, certainly something neither he nor she had anticipated they would get from the other. She furrowed her brows, still twirling her locks while her eyes were locked on the ceiling. Feelings were dangerous, in a way, she became very vulnerable. If she wasn't careful, Klaus could play with those emotions. She furrowed her brows and sat on the bed, her eyes were bright, and the walls were shaking. She refused to be treated like a fool, especially because unlike the time with Elijah, this time, Mary felt something for Klaus. She genuinely fell for him and chose to embrace those feelings.  Could it be that all of this was just a way for her heart to tell Mary that she was missing the hybrid? Most certainly so. She was yearning for him. She wanted him. She needed him.
