TVD: Elijah and Freya: about the witch.

"What is it with you, brother? First, you hide the existence of a powerful witch from the rest of the family and now you're trying to break her relationship with Klaus?"

"Freya... You don't understand. I had to."

"800 years ago! You've been hiding her for 800 years! No wonder she wants nothing to do with you!!" She pinched the bridge of her nose and rolled her eyes. "I know you mean well.."

"Mean well? How reductive Freya. Anything I do, I do for the sake of our family! I had to keep her a secret! I had to make sure she would never hurt our family! I had to..."

"You kept her under your thumb! Elijah! There is no come back from it unless you properly apologize to her." -He adjusted his tie and put his hands in his pockets-

"I've already apologized. What I want to prevent is for Klaus to break her heart and for her to turn on us!"

"Have a little faith in our brother and perhaps, have a lot more faith in the witch. She's been loyal to you for 800 years and accepted your bullshit without complaint. You have to release the leach or it will backfire on you."

He clenched his jaw and took a deep breath. Freya walked in a circle around the Original so she could face him. She was angry, perhaps angrier at the fact Elijah was shortsighted when it came to his brother and the potential budding romance with the witch.  It was a powder keg and Elijah didn't want to take his chance and have it explode because he let Klaus self-sabotage again.  Neela was powerful, vastly powerful and he would rather have her on their side than against the family. Freya could understand, but she didn't agree with the way Elijah was doing things.

"I will take the chance, Thank you very much. Now let's focus on something far more pleasant for all of us."

"Elijah....." Freya realized that he had shut down like a clam and would not entertain a conversation with her. Still, she hoped that the next time she would bring the topic up, he would be more receptive.
