Headcanon Sara: Only Fans and Attention
Sara's been betrayed by the people who meant the world to her. Her parents used her to become a super, lied to her about the origin of her powers and tried to find a replacement should she fail. Their constant abuse led her to believe that she wasn't good enough, that her mistakes were because of who she was and her parents were unhappy because of her. The neglect led her to believe that she had to do something good to please them, and something good to please others. Her extended family rejected her because she was a supe and she knew the horrors of the foster system.
Being a singer didn’t really help overcome her need for attention. Indeed, while she gets her dose of love and attention and she can see people enjoy her music, the fear of becoming a has-been and losing these people's interest clings to her bones. Twice she’s been ghosted and disappointed by her lovers, which in turn makes her believe she’s not good enough to be loved. Hence the Onlyfans is a safe way to have perceived affection/ attraction from people she would never meet. It is easy for her to because they are not really in her life but she's lacking a genuine connection. She's lacking friendships.
Finally, this issue runs deep because she hasn’t truly been a hero. She’s never saved people locally, from battles, she knew she could win but never went against real big menaces because she doesn’t want to die. She feels ashamed about it but her desire to live doesn’t feel like she should be anything more than a singer to entertain the masses.

Brett Howard, Sara's ex is a supe whose power is to control ice. He left Sara because she was too big of a star for him to deal with and claimed that she was too clingy for him to stand. Their breakup hurt the woman so much she decided to stop dating altogether and focus on her carreer only.
Brett is cocky (because of his powers but also because of his doting parents), but he's also very possessive. As long as Sara seems to live a single life, he's fine with it. His ego is way too strong for him to resist coming back into her life if he notices she's moved on and is seeing someone else.
After years living on her own, Sara is now ready to move on (she just doesn't know it yet) and kick this asshole down to the curb should he show up.
