Her curse:
Nëela's curse gave her golden eyes, eternal life and pain whenever she feels a very intense and negative emotion. She also became sterile and can't produce an offspring which tormented her as well for a while. (she's made her peace with it, since). It also ironically made her extremely powerful and gave her enough time to further her knowledge in magic.
Her curse makes her vulnerable to Vervain (like vampires), to Silver (like Werewolves). It also makes her quite easy to spot on and even more difficult to fit in among supernatural creatures or humans. In order to find some relief, Nëela keeps on healing and helping others.
