Mary had always loved singing. When she started her career as a nurse at the orphanage she grew up in, she thought she would still be useful and earn enough money to support herself by becoming a nurse but it wasn't enough. She met her husband and quickly enough she had to work at a factory to support both of them. She still sang during her breaks and managed to earn extra money between shifts by singing for the workers, the neighbors, and anyone willing to pay during her breaks.
It became her primary source of income after the death of her husband. She became a full-fledged singer and landed a job at the Garrison pub. Today, she's training to become a nurse at the Grace Institute and has since left her singing career behind. Tommy? oh, he still loves to listen to her sing, sometimes when she breaks into a song, he doesn't talk so he can enjoy her voice. It's their special thing, she's now singing only for Charlie and him.
