COPG: chessgame V -recap-

// It was overdue. I wanted to state where we are in the storyline. :) They will forever be famous.

Gaea finally chose to join her children in the fight against Elpis. She decided to lend her power and eventually maximize her chance of surviving the war by siding with a more powerful alliance. While her help would have been decisive if it was any other goddess,  Gaea felt that it would be useless against her daughter Elpis. Doubt had crept into her heart from the moment because she felt the power of her daughter. Elpis was becoming stronger, she was becoming far more powerful than Gaea expected her to be since she was able to control Nature. They even managed to talk to each other, briefly so, and the All-Mother realized that her daughter had awoken her power.  Elpis told her that she would take her crown and would become the new All-Mother, which scared Gaea so much that she joined her surviving children in a bid to survive.

Ayasha and Ishtar were preparing for the upcoming war. Ishtar was plagued with nightmares and hallucinations of his sister. Ayasha tried to ignore her fear since she was visited by the Black Butterfly. The drums of war started to beat and Ishtar was organizing his army. Monsters and minor gods responded to his call and were gearing up, forging new weapons and armor. The drums of war started to beat but the Primeval Gods put on a brave face while their hearts were torn apart.  Victory wasn't certain but a necessity. They had to win. Elpis had to die and the Sin had to be contained.  Perhaps, with the help of the All-Mother, there was a chance they could win this war and the siblings were hoping to have the favor of victory.

Elpis, well, she was thriving! Pride, with the help of an old friend turned foe turned ally -The goddess Hecate-, forged a ring that granted the Primeval Goddess a new freedom. She would finally be able to roam the mortal realm free without being located by her siblings. She would be able to use her magic and explore her powers without being found. Freedom...Freedom to be her true self and freedom to move. With that ring, she would be able to follow him anywhere he chose to go. She would be able to finally leave the confines of the walls he put her in. She would be able to be with him and that was the most important thing for the goddess. Nothing and no one would come between them. They would prepare for the war at their own pace and would attack when their enemies would be the least prepared for it.
