TB: Her name

TB: Her name

A/ N: I love these two okay? (All usual disclaimers)

«Sara! »

There was something in the way he said her name, a little change of tone that could say a thousand things. When Homelander was upset with her, he would say her name in such a harsh and dry way that it would sound like a whip in the wind. It was unpleasant, dry, almost as if she was at the receiving end of that whip. It happened the most when the two of them were arguing, which quickly happened when Sara was scared or worried. She did her best to remain hidden but The Deep, Ashley, A-Train were on her case and there was still the threat of The Boys finding about her. She had to stomach the fact he was hurt and could be in worse shape since Butcher and Hughie had powers through temp V. She had to accept that he could die at any given time and she had to be prepared for it. It just didn't work the way it should. She still hated the sight of his blood. He was aware of that but that didn't prevent him from being upset at her whenever she brought her concerns. He would rather have Sara jealous of the girls he might encounter and afraid he might cheat on her rather than her being scared for his life. It made him feel angry, weak and upset at himself and it did hurt to see her worried about him. He wanted to protect her from the life he was leading and by not telling her the details of his business, he kinda was.

There was something in how he said her name, a little change of tone that could say a thousand things. When they were cuddling at night, he would often purr her name in her ear. He would take his time to pronounce it and the sound he would make would be round, rich, and warm. It was enjoyable as if he stroked her cheek with the back of his hand. It was a caress, a hug, or maybe even just a kiss on her cheek. It was tender and soft and she enjoyed the way he was saying it. Sometimes he would call her « Babygirl». It was a pet name that came to his mind. At first, it happened during a night of passion, it was sexual, it was powerful but naturally, it evolved into something else. It worked just fine, she always reacted so well when he called her babygirl so it stuck around. The nickname became something more when they started to date. « Babygirl » calmed Sara. It made things more casual. It made things a little more special between the two of them. It made things normal, so yes, he did call her « Babygirl », with that rich and smooth tone of his, to let her know everything was alright and he was happy. Because he was.

There was something in how he said her name, a little change of tone that could say a thousand things. When they were making love, regardless of the place and time, he would groan her name. It was the sound she loved the most because it varied. It could be breathless when she would work her muscles to entrap his cock inside of her soft wet walls. It could be a groan when he would hit the bottom of her cunt and relish in the sensation of being so deep inside of her. It could be passionate when they would bruise their lips while kissing each other, almost as if he would miss the train if he didn't say her name. It would be fast, sometimes he would even eat half the name in his hurry to say it, to let her know he was in the moment with her. It could also sound desperate, especially when he was getting close to his release and he simply needed to call her name, to make sure she was real and by his side and he wasn't caught dreaming again. The way that moved her the most, was when they were both taking their time. It wasn't the rush to the finish line, it was just the two of them enjoying one another at a slow and delicious pace. Homelander would take his time staring at the black-haired beauty. He would take his time watching her face contort with sheer pleasure and he would have an epiphany at this exact moment. He was lucky, he was happy, he was vulnerable. There was no hiding or pretending, there was just the two of them, and the way he said her name at this exact moment felt like a communion.
