Quality time: She always tries to make sure that Tommy spend some time with his son and with the rest of her family. She always runs him a bath and sits on a chair and read him poems when he's bathing. She would always ride a horse with him and they would go have a picnic together. She wants him to make memories and to live in the present.
Words of affirmation: Mary promised herself that she would never let anyone feel like she did while growing up and married to Carter. So she always makes sure to let Tommy know how much she loves him. She would always let him know that he's not cursed by God, that he's not in the wrong and he's doing the best he can for his family
physical touch: Mary would always show her affection. She would always hold onto him when they're sleeping or when she can give him a hug. She loves to be in touch, and will always seek to touch him anyway she can. She's a nurturing person and she always makes sure to give her affection to Tommy and the rest of the family.
