modern GoT: Viserys: A Christmas Miracle

 Viserys: A Christmas Miracle

A/N: He spoke to me, my baby, so of course, I will let him speak.

XX

Viserys looked at his reflection in the mirror, while adjusting his tie. He furrowed his brows and let his fingers rub over the sharp features of his jaw. Despite his red eyes and the clear exhaustion that crept on his face, he was devastatingly handsome. While Rhaegar was the clone of his father, Viserys had his own unique beauty, taking after his mother the most. He was charismatic, even when in a drunken stupor or a deep-white-hot-anger. He was sexy, even when he was wearing a three-piece grey suit. He was perfection.

Just a moment ago, Daenerys came to his room, to brief him about his behavior. She paid for his rehab, cleansing him from the drunken stupor he found himself in when he returned from Dorne. The silver queen did not want to know what triggered her brother’s relapse this time. She did not want to deal with his business because every time she tried, he ended up being violent with her. Viserys noted the way she shook and held onto the doorknob while talking to him, but instead of taunting his sister, he decided to let her speak.

“Be good. They are watching us.” That was all she said to him, reminding him that the family who visited them would spend most of their time gossiping about the offspring of the late Aerys and Rhaella. They would talk about what they became and how well they honored their family. They would scrutinize everything and would cast their judgment by the end of the first dinner.  They all felt pressure on their shoulders, especially the black sheep of the family. The dragon king’s son only behaved because he wanted to honor his parents.

Usually, he would boast and would walk into the room, stealing the attention of everyone. He would irradiate the place with his raw and powerful charisma, forcing his family to stop whatever they were doing and focus on him and him only. He would make a show, just because he could but not this year. This year he did not want to be noticed.  This year he just wanted to be forgotten and to forget everything.

Ever since he returned from Dorne, the dragon king’s son had been incredibly quiet. Unusually so. He appeared on social media, pictured with plenty of gorgeous women he did not even look or touch. He appeared with a sad and closed off face, mostly looking forward to drinking in the darkness of the club than to go out and party like an animal. As always, the silver fox was seen with Angel, with a drink in his hand and deep into his thoughts. It was so unusual that the tabloids were wondering what happened. There was even one magazine titled “Who tamed the Dragon’s son?” where Tabloids were theorizing that it probably was his longest on and off relationship with supermodel Cerise Newman.

It would make sense if it was someone he already knew. Viserys was a man quite difficult to tame and they wrongly assumed that only the woman who’d been with him the longest could form a bond strong enough to hurt him if she ignored him. Cerise did not ignore Viserys, he. There was that moment when he sent Kyra the last EP he produced. A song about her. She did not reply to his text and for a while, Viserys was tormented by the absence of words. Did she receive his text? Did she listen to the song? Did she like it? Did she understand? He had no means to know and being left in the dark destroyed him.  He hated it.

For weeks he held onto his emotions so he could write the song. He felt bad, stupid, and for the first time in a long time, the silver fox blamed himself for his predicament. How could a weekend of relaxation and fun have turned so sour? Why did he have to stab that man who came closer to the blonde beauty? To his princess? Why did he feel so possessive for someone he’d just met? He couldn’t drink at the beginning because he wanted to understand. Yet, the more he searched for an answer, the least he understood what made him stab the guy and beat his friends.  He wanted to protect Kyra, make sure she wasn’t soiled by the greasy grabby hands of a pervert. He wanted to spend more time with her, hear her laugh, and laugh with her. He wanted to watch her face lit up and run his hands in her blonde locks. She was so beautiful in that plane when there was only the two of them. He wanted to go back to this moment when there was nothing else in the world that mattered to him.

She made him feel something, something beautiful at that. For the first time in forever, he wasn’t thinking about himself. It wasn’t about his pleasure, his own taste, his desire. It was about making her smile and making sure she was happy. It was about her, everything he ever did -even that despicable thing-. For the first time, he was craving someone’s touch, someone’s warmth and while it still didn’t sit well with him, over the weeks that followed the song, it became obvious that he was missing her. Viserys felt that marijuana wasn’t enough for him anymore. He didn’t want to get numb, to ease his pain. He was angry. He was angry at himself for what happened. The good memories of the beach of Dorne and the moment in the airplane were tainted with memories of his older brother scolding him.

He could see the ghost of Rhaegar look at him with disappointment on his face, shaking his head as he wished his little brother kept at trying to be better. His perfect face and looks quickly became unbearable for the young dragon to see. The face of perfection judging him became too much and anger overwhelmed him. Kyra’s silence only worsened things for Viserys who knew he owed it to himself. He was his own worst enemy after all. So, he drank more, he got wasted and alongside his desperation, the Prince entered fisticuffs again. The prince trashed hotel rooms again, he hurt his perfect fingers again, the rain stain of the gashes caused by his punches appeared on every magazine, and once again, people were afraid of him.

This spiraling had to stop, with Christmas coming soon, Dany paid for an intense rehab that quickly sobered him up and forced him on a strict diet. They took great care of him, and while he was grateful to be sober again, he hated to have reached this level of clarity. He hated it because he saw how much he lost. He looked at his phone, knowing he had roughly an hour before his family arrived. Alone in his room, with the desire to see Kyra more than anything else, he decided to take a risk. It was Christmas, what more could he lose?  He dialed her number, his heart beating faster than it ever did before, with her name at the tip of his lips as he wanted to say it.  He waited for a while that felt like an eternity before finally, she took the phone.

COPG: Christmas Break

 Elpis x Pride: Christmas Break

A/N: Wintery Wintery moment between one who loves those humans celebrations and the one who hates them.

xxxxx

« Humans... » -Pride rolled his eyes and glanced at Elpis who was holding his arm.-  « I will never understand your love for their stench, let alone those noisy events they call holidays. »

« You meant celebrations, Superbia... Celebrations. » -Elpis mused-

She convinced him to visit a winter market, which he had a very hard time to agree to. What swayed him was her argument that during the holidays, humans were known to be at their worst. She challenged him again, to see who would be the one to influence most humans. She would have to try and stir the best from them and he would have to stir the worst from them. Yet, now that they were out, he realized that she was actually enjoying herself. Elpis had always been fond of humans, there were no secrets there. She had always loved those wretched creatures. She had always enjoyed their food, their music, their dances and she was fascinated by their ability to enjoy their lives to the fullest, knowing full-well, how short they would be.

He had to concede that it gave those foolish creatures a ferocious desire to live and survive. Their quest for immortality amused him and their capacity to destroy each other fueled his power. Mankind definitely was an eternal source of power and for the goddess by his side, who thrived on human worship, they would make her the most powerful being of the universe. At least of this planet. He relaxed a little, forgetting the annoying white noises made of people's screams, laughs, joy, and excitement. He ignored the cold wind blowing on them. He even ignored his very desire to go back to their fancy hotel room. She seemed happy to be there, genuinely happy to discover the latest trends in terms of Christmas celebrations.

After all, it'd been three human years since she was released, and one since the war against his siblings ended. Roaming the Earth, recovering from her curse, and unlocking her full potential made it difficult for her to fully update herself and appreciate the evolution of the human race, but she was catching up really fast and was now, no-where as green as she was when she was released. Her eyes were glowing as she watched kids running around and throwing snowballs at each other. Her smile grew wide as she saw couples enjoying some winter wine. . He watched as she looked with a curious gaze around her, at the lovely -although he thought otherwise- bling Christmas decorations and let her take him from booth to booth.

« What do you like about them, my Light? They are rude, boring, aesthetically unpleasant, and very selfish creatures. Gaea created them, so I can understand her affection for humans, but you? I don't understand yours. What could a Light like you find in them ? » he asked again while she stopped by to smell a scented candle. She smiled at the vendor and ignored the gazes upon her. Pride felt it, envy, desire, greed, and flashed a grin as he decided to play the game she challenged him with. His essence started to spread a little around him, with a controlled force so he wouldn't create carnage at the market. Elpis felt his hand on her waist, pulling him closer to his frame as he was possessive. She chuckled and leaned her head against his chest, still holding onto the candle.

« They are fascinating. Pride, we, primeval gods are eternal and  I was told that long before you were born, we only had the Dagger of Fate as our only true enemy. Death wasn't even a concept for us. I know they aren't perfect, but they have the ability to live their lives to the fullest... » She then bit her bottom lip as Pride pressed a kiss to her forehead before he released her. « I have never known what it was like until I got cursed. It humbled me. » She admitted before she turned around to face him.

« So, are you telling me that being locked inside humans influenced you ? »  -He mused. She shook her head.-

« No. I am saying that being deprived of freedom helped me realize how much I was missing you, how unfair the situation was, and  I would give anything to be free. I am saying, I understand that»

She said with a soft grin before she wrapped her arms around his waist and pulled him into a tight hug He smiled between their kisses, enjoying her spontaneous gesture of affection. It was something different, she was feeling different. Her playfulness didn't disappear overnight, but today, she was looking for a different kind of fun and attention. Pride could feel by the way she was now holding on to his sides and kept his frame close to hers in a tight embrace. She was looking for comfort today and he could tell by the way she was looking at him. She knew Pride wasn't exactly the affectionate type, and he knew that she did fancy the way humans celebrated because they had a different sense of « family » than primeval gods. Connections had a meaning, and usually good families didn't turn on one another. They would build perfect memories until their deaths and would enjoy the presence of people they would invite over. Christmas was that time of the year when you focused on family and presents and the sensation of truly being part of a whole.

Elpis did lose everything and everyone but Pride, so it made sense for her to want to get some affection from him. He understood that while he didn't approve of mankind's existence, he did find their concepts at the very least intriguing. He understood the concept of the family despite his experience with it being less than stellar. The family was messy. sins were trying to kill one another so for Pride the concept of a happy family was a utopia, a silly dream. He understands the concept of finding someone's other half although he was certain there was no one like him or close to being like him so the concept was a little lost to him. His Light was, however, a companion. She proved herself to be worthy of his trust and worthy of his attention and he wanted to at least make her realize that. Why would he be out, during winter, in the middle of a human cesspool? why would he only have eyes for her, if he didn't care or didn't consider her family too? As she pulled away from him, the goddess cupped both of his cheeks and started to stroke them kindly, with a clear affection in her gesture.

"Regardless, my emperor, I get to celebrate those holidays with you by my side. For a minute, let's forget about our plans. I just want to enjoy your presence next to me. Can we do this?"

"You asked so nicely. I can allow today to be dedicated to spending time together." He mused and pressed his lips to hers. "Only today."

"Mmmm.. yes my emperor."

DOYA: Her little present.

DOYA: Her little present.

A/N: Oya loves Christmas, but not especially for the reasons we think of, and not really the way people usually celebrate it.

Xxxxx

MOL BUNKER, Friday afternoon, at 4 pm. A couple days before Christmas

Oya was quietly reading in the war room. The room temperature was warm enough for her to stay in a t-shirt and a pair of boxers, but she was wearing an ugly sweater and a pair of flannel pants. When the petite hunter was reading, she had both legs on the seat and her arms wrapped around them. Her hair was tied on a messy bun and she was busy looking through the pages. Unlike the History books she usually read, today the ebony hunter was focused on a novel. She grabbed it at a gas station -yes, a gas station- and ever since hadn't dropped it. She loved detective stories, especially when they dabbed into the NOIR Genre and this book, unlike most gas station books, was actually good.

It was so good that she didn't notice that Dean had been staring at her silently. He was sitting on the chair nearby, an actual hunter's book they accidentally found during one of their last hunts. It read like a diary held by one seasoned hunter who encountered plenty of creatures, all weirder than the other, especially those from East Europe. As he was devouring the book -which was quite something for someone who'd rather have Sam do the reading-, he noticed Oya was awfully quiet and started to look at her. He loved it when she was focused because that little crease on her forehead was very cute. Her eyes were wide open as she didn't want to miss a single word on her book and she was twirling her right foot -it always was the right one-. He watched as she sighed in relief, moaned out of frustration, or rolled her eyes as she read lines of the book she didn't like. She was cute.

While the older Winchester's brother was staring at Oya, his mind was wandering elsewhere. Soon it would be Christmas, a day none of the team Free Will actually liked. It was way too painful for the brothers -didn't mean anything to the angel- and Oya had mixed feelings about the holiday. Yes, just like the brothers, Christmas was bittersweet. It reminded her of moments she celebrated with her family, of the laughter they shared, the amazing presents unboxing but more importantly, the delicious food her mother would cook. It felt good, it felt homely. Those memories were painful because they reminded Oya of what she lost. They reminded her of their absence and their gruesome deaths. Always, at some point, just like the Winchester brothers, anger would overwhelm her and would break her heart and she would be tempted to push those memories away. She would hate the Christmas songs, and the commercials on TV about that damn Christmas Turkey, unboxing day, and all those exaggerated happy faces on tv.

She hated the commercials, Dean could tell by the way she stiffened whenever one accidentally appeared on TV. She hated the Christmas songs and refused to sing them. He recalled a day when she threw some snow in the face of a choir that was singing in town. She resented the obliviousness of regular humans hunters like her were to protect. At least, during moments like these. Envy took over, the desire to have her family back and be able to spend the holidays with them was overwhelming but she could do nothing about it. Yet, unlike the Winchesters, Oya was able to enjoy those memories of her family. She felt grateful and privileged to have them because at least that meant their memories would still be alive thanks to her. They wouldn't be forgotten, they would still live with her. Memories were happy and a reminder to her that she was able to be happy again, at least she had been able to. Those memories were soft and sweet and warm, a lovely Proust madeleine she held onto. So she remembered, and she enjoyed those moments spent laughing and with the people she loved.

Oya didn't really celebrate Christmas. The bunker wasn't decorated. The bunker was still the very same old same old looking place. What she kept, however, was the gift-giving tradition. She made it a point 5 years ago, to always make sure that Team Free Will, received something. Dean always got new weapons, Sam once got a Vince Vincent best of the album, the one and only best of he made when he was alive. Dean, at first, was surprised by her, but he enjoyed the not-so-subtle way she was excited over getting them presents. He enjoyed that she made it practical for him -always a new but exotic piece of weaponry, and sometimes she added ugly sweaters- and something meaningful for everyone -she always made collages of the pictures and selfies she took with them-. It was sweet, really and although he wasn't looking forward to Christmas, he wasn't dreading the day as much as he did before. He didn't need to get drunk anymore or lost in his hunt to forget about his surroundings. Oya was his Home. Oya was his Christmas.

The fact she stayed with him was really, all that he needed. Yet, Dean still wanted to see the smile on her face when she opens her presents. This year, he decided to get her Baby Yoda. It wasn't a weapon, it wasn't useful, but it was something she'd been whining about almost every day since the commercial hit TV. She loved the show and while he was a nerd and did have a secret love for Dark Vader, He still wanted to give her something she would like, something she loved, and something that would make her smile. Dean loved when Oya smiled, and he loved it even more when she was laughing. He had already bought the present and did his best to hide it in the bunker's armory. Look what she was making him do, buy a Christmas present ahead of time so he was sure it was home. Hide it from her so she would be surprised when he gives it to her. Look at him looking forward to Christmas, but not for the reasons people mostly love the holiday for, not for the feast, not for the lights, not for the family gathering, but just because he would spend it with her, with a little gift that just meant he thought of her, with her infectious smile.. with her warm presence... with her...

Happy holidays 2020!

year : 2020

2020, what a year!

I will, of course, write a short Christmas message with the traditional Santa Thong by Lelia, when she releases it:D but until then, this is a Holidays post:)

I know this year has been dreadful, complicated, complex, riveting, incredible, exciting to some and many of you. I can just wish that this end of the year finds you well, find you surrounded by your loved ones. I can only hope that the end of the year would at least help you breathe a little. I'm very proud of my lovelies who went through hell for some but survived, who lived their best lives to others. Look at us today. We're badasses. <3

Aside from the disbelief that we would be facing a pandemic, I think I have not anticipated this year as well as I could have. Unlike many, I cannot say that everything was a nightmare, that would not be true. Yes, I went through a lot of hardships, but unlike 2019, this year I was far more hopeful for my future. I decided I would not speak of those hardships in detail, at least not in this post but for the past couple of months, I have been heartbroken, anxious, in anguish, and definitely worried about my future. I had to make tough decisions and my anxiety filled my head every night. It was difficult to take care of my mental health during the height of the pandemic in my country, even more, when the therapist I was seeing -a trauma specialist- ended up not being compatible with me. But you know what they say, always get back up when you're knocked down. So I kept going.

I can't believe I finally made it and have officially quit my job. It had to be one of the hardest decisions I had to make and It took me a year of inner-debate and discussions to finally make it happen. My family and friends were of great support because they understood what I was going through. I left an abusive job, with incompetent and abusive managers. I left a job that sent me on medical leave and forced me to think of my health. I decided I had enough, and would never suffer the way I did for a heartless job that would quickly replace me should I die. I held onto the hope I would not suffer any longer and here I am... I made it!

Aside from this, it's also a year I've been very active with my personal projects. My book has consistently been going, hopefully, come to the end of the year 2021, it'll go to editing and translation in English too. My Poem Anthology « Misadventures of Eros and Thanatos » would be finished come next year and I will resume sketching as well. I'm so excited because being an artist is who I really am even though I am still fighting my head in order to make it happen. Little by little I'm getting there, and this year, I reconnected with that part of me. I have hope for the future and I hope that you would be aware of what's going on very soon! Thank you to those who've been supporting me all those years. I won't let Asma down. Ever <3

But I think the biggest treasure this year gave me was definitely just coming to the realization I have found the love of my life. Main Husband has always been open to discussion, he is honest, sincere, loving, and romantic at heart. He's very funny and I think I can't get enough of his tacky sense of humor or his passion for cinema. I can't get enough of his gentle touch or his presence. I can't get enough of us building our lives together and projecting into our future and I am especially grateful for him because he knows how my mind works, he understands, he is patient. I had always been certain that it was going to be « him », but this year consolidate it for me. So I am grateful for 2020 because it revealed our best and worst sides and yet, we're still there, together, going strong and accepting challenges.

To another year!

Happy Holidays everyone!

SoA: Reinvent yourself

 (SoA)

"Sometimes you need to reinvent yourself. I was a mess, long before I came to Charming. I was living on the run, hoping to find a safe haven in the town I was hiding at. It wasn't living, what I did there, was surviving my abusive ex-fiancé. I was always looking past my shoulders to make sure he wasn't around, always moving out when I felt I stayed too long or when he made himself known to me. A yellow rose, he used to drop it in front of my door and I would know he had found me. I used to suppress my emotions, pretend I was fine, put on a hard face, give into alcohol -yes, I was an alcoholic-, put on a mean mug as if I was telling the world to fuck off... All of that was bravado on my side. All of that was a way for me to pretend I was holding it together when I wasn't.

I wasn't.

Coming to Charming forced me to face my demons. Oscar found me but he died at the hand of my sister, Jessica. I opened my shop, started to make myself known, met Elias Robbins who broke my heart, I finally stopped having to deal with slurs painted on the front porch... I became sober. I found a family in the Sons, friends with the Pistons and the Dames, and Love in Alex. I guess I turned my life around.

Am I the same person I used to be before? No. not anymore. I had to start over twice. once after Elias broke my heart, and once after Oscar died. but I did it, and I'm grateful I did. So yes, sometimes you need to reinvent yourself, start over completely. erase all you used to be to have a healthier start in life and a better life. Is it easy? No, it's bloody hard. It's messy, there are relapses, regrets coming back to you, PTSD for people like me, and every day, you want to give up but hey, take it one day at a time, one step at a time. Soon enough, you'll be on top of the mountain you're trying to climb."

Chronicles of the Primeval gods: Life of Elpis: A weapon fitting a queen

Chronicles of the Primeval gods: Life of Elpis: A weapon fitting a queen

A/N : Been thinking of this cool scene between our babies. Actually, just flash forward a little bit.

XXXX

Kribi Beach, Cameroon, 10: AM

Elpis was enjoying the beach on this peculiar morning. She was wearing a black bikini and had wrapped around her frame a black sarong. She was barefoot, enjoying the sensation of the wind over her skin and the sand at her feet. Pride was walking nearby, holding his expensive shoes in his hand and his blazer in the other. He had rolled up the bottom of his pants so the waves would not wet the fabric and weren't wearing a tie -he even untied a few buttons, just so to show he was in a relaxed mood-. The wind was warm and the smell of the ocean was filling both nostrils. Elpis tucked some hair behind her ear, loving that the whole beach was theirs for a few hours.

« It's extraordinary Superbia, I have a better connection to nature. I can feel every single living being on that beach. » She said excitedly. « I am getting stronger. » She said waving her hand and lifting a few rocks with her telekinesis. Pride observed and cocked his head to the side.

« We've never talked about your siblings' abilities, nor yours. While I do have Leviathan's control of the ocean, I do not know what others can do or what you can do. »

« Oh... yes, we've never talked about it. If we want to defeat my pantheon and if I want to truly harness my power, I need to start explaining. » She yanked her head back and dropped the rocs on the sand. « We are born with common abilities and common constitution. Our physical bodies are simply the easiest ways we found to manifest ourselves in this world, otherwise, we have true forms that are tangible in the god's pantheons. » She then furrowed her brows. « I have never been able to reach my full potential so I do not know what my true form looks like... » She then furrowed her brows. « I do recall, however, that when we were trying out my powers and started to tease each other, my skin was turning into pure light, I guess that's my true form right there. A golden goddess. » She said with a chuckle. « We are immune to human plagues, immune to their diseases, immune to their poison, immune to their weapons. Like all the gods we've encountered. They took it from us. » She stroked her chin. « we also are immortal, but not impossible to kill as you've seen by yourself. A god-killer weapon would slay us. The Dagger of fate, you also have is one of our weaknesses. It was born alongside Khaos and was infused with his essence. » She shrugged and furrowed her brows. « We also have unique abilities, the main gods of our pantheon that is. My parents, my siblings, and myself. »

Pride was listening to her and found a large boulder he sat on. He put his shoes and his blazer on the boulder to keep his hands free. He would not interrupt the goddess as she spoke and gave him precious intel on his enemies. It only was a matter of time before he launched an attack on them, he had planned to have a full menagerie of various monsters and animals he could mount for battle but he needed to be more prepared than that. Pride was confident in his power, but he needed everyone to be at their maximum potential. Elpis was quickly recovering from her curse and she also was unlocking her untapped potential. How long would it take? He had no clue, but he was patient as well. They were in no rush. For the moment, Ayasha couldn't locate them thanks to ancient magic, so he would take full advantage of that situation.

« My father had the power of destruction. He was capable of reshaping worlds if he wanted to. This power was only his. His essence however was taken by my brother when he killed him, making him ten times stronger than he usually was, but that's about it. » She nodded to herself. At the very least, Ishtar didn't have the power of destruction Khaos had. « Mother has the power of creation. She is the one who gave birth to everything, other gods, and life itself. She's in tune with nature, in perfect symbiosis. Her essence is extremely powerful and if I manage to take it for myself, I can't even imagine the power levels I could reach. Her unique ability is truly to be able to create life at will. She could snap her fingers and a full human adult would pop up. Her creations can't harm her, she had perfect control over them. She has perfect control of the elements as well. » She shrugged and ran her fingers through her silky pink hair. « Khrön had super speed. He was as fast as the speed of light when he had both his wings. Ayasha cut down one of them and he lost his ability to run at those speeds. Ayasha's memory is formidable. She knows, and stores millennia worth of knowledge. She can access the information she wants at ease, let's say, like a supercomputer. She never was good at fighting and would rather not be on a battlefield. That power also comes with nice advantages such as her being able to read any language and therefore understand any parchment or ancient tablets she is presented with. »

Ayasha was a walking library and while this power seemed useless at first, it ended up being the most useful and the one that allowed Ishtar to kill Khaos. When knowledge was wisely used, it became as lethal if not more lethal than any weapon. Pride was well aware since he was preparing himself for a major war and had just ended one ever-lasting war with his siblings. Knowledge favored his victory so he knew how dangerous Ayasha was. He stroked his chin, those were peculiar powers, some were unfortunately lost for all eternity but something was telling him that perhaps not as much as he thought it was. Elpis outstretched her arms from each side of her body, enjoying the soft wind over her frame.

« Sitäa was able, with a touch, to infuse Love in the heart of her targets. She could turn anyone into her puppet and willing servants. It was the primary use of her powers, but she also knew how to calm a racing heart or love-induced madness to another heart and wreak havoc. She rarely used her powers did advise the goddess Aphrodite on how to use her powers and influence humans the best. » She chuckled and shook her head. « Then comes Leviathan, the god of the ocean, the master of what is in front of me. He had complete control over them but that was about it. He wasn't subtle, he wasn't refined, he just controlled the oceans. » She stuck her tongue out at Pride and tucked some hair behind her ear once again.

« What about Ishtar? » Pride finally asked, knowing Elpis was trying her best not to talk about her brother.

« Ah... him... He is the god of war. One of his secondary abilities was to induce bloodthirst and rage into the hearts of humans so they would go to war. I assisted him in infusing hope in their hearts as well... but the real power isn't that. He actually is able to bend metal to his will. Coupled with his knowledge of weapons and his incredible stamina and resilience, he's very difficult to defeat. He is strong beyond belief now that he stole his father's essence. »

« I can beat him. I can defeat your brother. I am not afraid of metal bending, nor am I of his knowledge of war. I have roamed the Earth and the god's astral plane for as far as I remember and I have always been able to win over any challenge thrown at me. Your brother is going to be a challenge, but one I am willing to take and one I am certain to beat. »

He warned her, sending shivers down her spine. She loved when he was confident like that and trusted him to be honest when he said he would defeat her pantheon. She turned around to face him this time and smiled brightly at him His blue eyes now had a purple tint and that elicited a moan from the goddess who felt her own eyes glow brightly. She had no doubts about Pride being able to destroy their enemies but was starting to grow frustrated because she realized she was missing something.

« As of I. I guess that I am still a mystery to myself. As of now, my primary power is to induce Hope in the heart of my targets. But I have psychic powers. Actually. » She said walking towards the god. « Aside from telepathy, I am able to build psychic constructs, used for defense, like shields or for attacks like a giant dragon with claws. Recently, however, I have been able to create life when upset just like my mother does... I don't know what to make of it. »

« Maybe that means your full potential has not been unlocked just yet. The true love child of the god of destruction and the goddess of creation? I guess you would be far more powerful than this. I am sure you are. » He watched as she wrapped her arms around his neck and pulled him into a searing kiss. Their lips brushed and she enjoyed the sensation of his fingers on her back. Slowly resting on his waist he pulled towards him. « I sense frustration coming from you. » He claimed, it was more or less a question asked to her, which made her shrug her shoulders.

« Indeed, I do feel frustrated. If I am to battle with you, shouldn't I also have a weapon? You have fantastic Khaos. I would like to have a weapon as well, one that I could use to kill Ayasha and one I could use to harness my powers, old and new. » She added while pressing another kiss to his lips. Pride growled between their lips and pulled his head away from her face.

There it was. They had talked about him forging a weapon just for her, but it had been ages ago and it slipped off of his mind due to his siblings. Elpis deserved a weapon fitting the queen she was. Queen of the Underworld, Empress of the Universe. To fit those titles she would need something massive, yet manageable. A scythe seemed to be the perfect weapon but he had to talk to her first, he had to design this weapon with her. He looked at her, an apologetic look on his face that vanished as soon as she noticed it.

« I will fix it, my Light. I will forget you a weapon fit for an Empress. As soon as I have designed it, I would reach out to you so you would tell me if you like it or not. » She stroked his cheek and planted a kiss on his forehead. She wasn't angry and he could tell that his words reassured her. Now that his personal war was over, he had all the time to focus on the most important.

« I cannot wait to see it, beloved. I am sure it would be wonderful, just like you are to me. » She nuzzled his neck and kept him in her tight embrace. « In the meanwhile, let's just enjoy the beach a little bit, shall we ? »

« We shall. »

Modern JB: Highgarden starry night

Modern JB: Highgarden starry night

// I absolutely adore these two. In any universe, we write them in. <3

Somewhere at Highgarden, Bronn's real estate

Daenerys Targaryen was a cunning woman, known as the Dragon Queen in this business world full of sharks, she was respected and even feared by some. Ruthless and relentless, she would not hesitate to use whatever she could to tip the balance to her favor. Highgarden was the richest land of Westeros. They were the equivalent of the Heartland of America because their lands were dedicated to Agriculture and Breeding. Most recently and in order to attract investors, the current owner of the land, Bronn decided to sell strategically placed pieces of land to the highest bidder. Those lands, in retrospect, weren't going to become a threat to Highgarden, but they were important enough to at least attract potential investors.

Most were interested only for the fame they would get from owning a piece of Highgarden, most, but not Tywin Lannister and Daenerys Targaryen. Both of them saw the potential it had and they wanted to own all the lands sold by Bronn. That was where negotiations started because Bronn didn't want the richest families to own all those lands, but they both were offering insane amounts of money, which seemed to be convincing enough for him to have publicly announced, he had narrowed down his bidders' list to the two families.

Entered Bäahal in the equation. It turned out -Thanks to Varys, the family's long-time friend and spy- that Bronn was infatuated with Bäahal and was more inclined to sign the contract in favor of Daenerys should her sister spend a few days at his real estate. Without even blinking, The Dragon Queen took Bäahal with her and they both spent a few days with Bronn. It wasn't unpleasant, for Bronn was funny and fun to be around. He knew the heiress wasn't interested in him but it didn't stop him from courting her and trying to impress her. He loved how exotic she looked to him. Her long and soft silver hair crowned a face out of this world.

Her high cheekbones -typical for all Targaryens-, her plump soft lips, her intense purple eyes were forcing him on his knees. Her curves were to die for -and so were Dany's-, and the fact she was a professional dancer only shaped her body even better. Toned thick creamy legs, a flat and toned belly, soft and firm breasts she always glamourized with extra-cleavage and a plump ass he always ogled whenever she walked past him. She was exactly what he was looking for. While most would try and avoid her because of her foul mouth and her tendency to be brutally honest and give the most epic reads, Bronn was attracted to her because of this. She was crass AND prim and proper at the same time.

Bäahal truly didn't care, although she was clearly aware that her sister was basically pimping her out. It didn't matter because she didn't have to do much but stay here and smile all day, laugh, and just be herself -Bronn insisted on that part-. He would serenade her from time to time and that was it. It was funny to her because while her body was at Highgarden, her mind was back at Jaime's secret lair – as she called it-. Her mind was back to him, to them being together in the secrecy of his second house.

She looked at Bronn playing guitar and was daydreaming about Jaime's massaging her calves and feet. She was watching him try to impress her with his knowledge and fun trivia and was thinking of Jaime's laughter as he was cooking something for her and she was teasing him about his favorite sports team.

His secret lair felt more and more homely as she went there and left a thing or two each time. Some underwear, her toothbrush, a few clothes so she wouldn't have to bring a bag each time she visited him. It felt homely because he was there with her and he was taking care of her. This house, Bronn's house felt empty in comparison. There were Daenerys alongside her but that didn't make it homely at all. It was cold. Her sister's violet eyes were cold and commanding as she wished Bäahal behaved well during those few days with their host. She wanted to sign that bloody contract and didn't want her sister to mess things up. As the fresh breeze of the night blew over her frame, the youngest heiress of the Targaryen's family wrapped her bathrobe around her frame tighter and leaned at her balcony as she watched the starry night. What was Jaime doing this late? She imagined he was probably having a board meeting, one of those boring duties a CEO had to attend. She imagined he was going through a lot of various thoughts while being held « captive » of his business meeting. She knew the first time she sent him a pic, he was actually having a meeting and wasn't focused for the rest of the day. She did promise him a picture of her legs and any other saucy type of pictures should she feel like it and tonight felt like the best moment to take her phone and send him a text.

As a matter of fact, she was missing the blonde Lannister. She wanted to fly back to King's Landing and spend time with him again, but her duties had to be her priority so she simply quickly took the phone from the pocket of her bathrobe and started to type a text to Jaime [To Golden Lion: Well, turns out I'm the first to text you after a while. I just wanted you to know that I was missing you. I'm at Highgarden, enjoying a fancy castle and a fancy dinner to come but all I am thinking of is you, my Golden Lion. So, in order to share the frustration, please find below a little memory of Highgarden.] and she sent it to him and quickly opened her bathrobe, revealing a white corset, some white pantyhose, and white laced underwear. It complimented well her silver hair and her dark complexion and she knew it would elicit a reaction from him. She then put the phone away and focused on getting dressed for dinner that night. It was the last day of their stay at Highgarden and Daenerys had placed her Hope into this day. Bronn had been satisfied with what he had with Bäahal there was no way he wouldn't sign. Wasn't it?
