COPG headcanon: Longing // How does she cope with the absence.

 1) Elpis misses Pride a lot. He gets lost in his plans and sometimes spends months apart from her. She misses them enjoying fine diner and arts together. She misses his voice and the way he calls her pet names. She misses his fingers on her neck.

Fingers he usually uses to choke her out when they have sex. Being a submissive she misses his praises and his spanking. She misses when he gives her orders to follow and when he corrects her when she’s bratty. She misses his purple eyes a lot. But more than anything, she misses how roughly he fucks her at times. Who would dare if not Pride?

2) oh she can’t do much until her family is defeated so she drinks, dresses, stays within the confines of his spells. But she gets bored and would try to fuck herself out of frustration (relief is short-lived) or read everything in the room/ safe house until she gets frustrated again. So she fantasize about killing her siblings.

COPG: She was the goddess of Light

She was the goddess of Light and Hope, the ultimate product of love between the All-Father  Khaos and the All-Mother Gaea.

She was his queen, his Light, and the one he fought to set free from her curse. Elpis was hungry for more. Long was gone the naive goddess, groomed to ignore her destiny and true ability. Long gone was the innocence from her eyes, as she had realized the truth about her family and the world.

Instead, she had matured into someone stronger. She realized that she had potential, something she should tap into in order to fulfill her destiny and she managed to do just this. over the weeks spent with her beloved, Elpis managed to harness her power, master some of it, and reach new levels. Perhaps the path to becoming the new All-mother was at her reach. Perhaps, this time, she could carve her legend in the fabric of all Eternity.

Perhaps, all of this was just the beginning.

COPG: "She was where she had to be."

(Pride)

She was where she had to be, by his side. No longer cursed, no longer separated from him. It only took them 2000 years to be together again but here she was. At long last.

It would take some time for both of them to adjust to their new normal. It would take some time for her to realize her suffering finally ended and she was where she had always wanted to be. By his side.

He would touch her, to make sure she wasn't an illusion but actually here, in the flesh. He would look at her, study her, and reconcile the memories of her that came back to his mind and the one before him. She was angry, and rightfully so.

She was angry and so was he. They would savour their time together, the reunion, but both knew it would not last forever and they should move forward to their next move. After all, they both had pantheons to bring down.

COPG: Paranoïa

// Gaea's conversation with her daughter

Ayasha felt the telepathic call of her mother, something that had never happened since Gaea exiled herself. Could it be that her mother had finally come to her senses? Could it be that she finally realized how powerful Elpis indeed was?  She decided to meet with her mother, on Earth among humans just so they would need to keep a low profile. Her human vessel wore a white skirt and jacket with a large white hat. Her heels clicked on the wooden floor of the museum they picked as their meeting location. Gaea was staring at a famous painting showing Cronos eating one of his sons.  She was wearing a long brown dress with black boots and had her hair styled in two braids. She didn't flinch when Ayasha finally stood next to her.

"Daughter."

"Mother. I didn't know you'd come." -She sneered. Her green eyes stared at the painting and she shrugged at the sight-

"I called you, of course, I'd come." -She snapped at her daughter, her brown eyes averting from the painting to her mother's face.-

"Forgive me, my tongue slipped. I meant to say that I didn't believe you'd call." -She grinned before she crossed her arms above her chest.- "I thought you wanted nothing to do with us. What made you change your mind?"

"Why do you care, Ayasha?" -

Gaea didn't want to tell her daughter that she was right. She didn't want to seem vulnerable and was extremely upset by the situation. The truth was, Ayasha saw right through her and her ego prevented the All-Mother from acknowledging it. She was vain, she was selfish. She was scared of her daughter and didn't try to kill her before because she didn't know how Elpis would react to the attempt. She saw what happened to the Sumerian pantheon and knew that her daughter destroyed gods while unaware of her true potential.

"I need to hear the truth from your mouth for once in your life, Mother."

"The truth?  Oh, I see, you want to humiliate me, Daughter." -She sneered at Ayasha who lifted a brow in a way to confirm her mother's suspicion.- "I spoke with Elpis a short while ago. She was testing her powers and I was not able to locate her." -Ayasha blinked and put her hand against her chest.- "Yes, she was everywhere and nowhere at the same time. I noticed her, so I called for her and she replied to me."

"What did she say?"

"She said that she was coming for us, all of us. She is planning to kill me and become the new All-Mother."

"Could she? could she beat you, Mother? Could she become the new All-Mother?"

Her green eyes set upon the brown orbs of her mother. If Gaea was seriously doubting her ability to defeat her daughter, then something "new" had happened. For months, the goddess had tried to locate her sister but was unable to do so. The growing fear of Ayasha made her shiver and she bit her bottom lip. Elpis defied their mother, she was confident enough to induce fear in the heart of the All-Mother. Despair couldn't invade their hearts, because if it did, then they would have already lost the war. The blonde goddess closed her eyes and moistened her lips. Gaea took a deep breath and ran her hand over her blonde locks.

"I lost control over the fauna, as soon as she talked to me, I couldn't control anything. She became far more powerful than I had anticipated and she is angry. She is extremely vengeful and she's coming for us."

"I see. what do you want, Mother? Protection? An alliance? Just ask and be clear this time."

"Protection, Daughter. I realized that alone I cannot stop Elpis. Alone, I am not enough. I seek asylum at the Prime Garden and when Elpis comes I would help you defeat her."

"What guarantees me that you would not try to betray us once you get the opportunity?" -Gaea shook her head and clutched her pearls.- "What guarantees me that you won't help Elpis destroy us instead?"

"Are you insane? She would not spare me, no matter what I do. So take me home, Ayasha."

Ayasha nodded and offered her arm to her mother so she could take it. She walked a couple steps away from the exhibition room so she could teleport them back into the Prime Garden. She didn't even gloat, which she could have done, because her mother finally spoke some truth, a truth. She knew that it would take some time before Elpis became strong enough to enact her revenge, but she still wanted to be ready before the final showdown. Gaea was willing to take shelter at the Pantheon but perhaps, with a little bit of convincing, she would end up going to war with them. Ayasha was counting on it.

chronicles of the primeval gods: life and death of Ishtar: "Anguish"

Chronicles of the  primeval  gods: life and death of Ishtar: "Anguish"

A/N: even villains fill up my mind. The New All-father is going through a lot.

Xxxxxx

The god of war had never been afraid of death. He was the one to inflict it on others. He was the one who waged wars, aroused the thirst for blood, and thrived off of the lives he ended. Ishtar went as far as killing his own father, siblings and nearly killed his beloved sister. Death was a companion, death was his partner and accomplice. And yet... and yet he became restless. He couldn't sleep ever since Elpis was set free. He still remembered her last words, said right before the curse had her body vanish.

She told him that she would find him again and would get revenge for his betrayal. The disgust in her tone achieved to leave a print in his mind and haunted him for millennia. He never told Ayasha that he imagined reuniting with Elpis and that most of the time, things went his way. She apologized, admitted being gullible and having been deceived by the Sin and begged for his forgiveness.

But everything changed when Pride broke her curse and set the goddess free. The brief moment Ishtar felt his beloved sister's essence was enough to induce despair into his soul. The very nature of his dreams changed. From a beautiful and vulnerable Elpis asking for forgiveness, the dream became a nightmare. He began hallucinating her and the Sin. Tonight was no exception. He had seen the sin once, on a battlefield. Even then, Pride's presence was overwhelming from afar. Ishtar still remembered the crushing aura that nearly got him on his knees.

The sin was tremendously powerful, and even then the god knew he couldn't face him and win.  Ishtar remembered the goosebumps that covered his body and the sweat that beaded over his skin. He saw his purple hues stare menacingly around him as he walked past the poor human souls that fought to their deaths. Ishtar felt danger through his bones. He knew that if it ever came to them, fighting, he would be the one to die. What could happen to him if he died? The void. He would go to the void and cease to exist and the mere thought of that chilled his heart to the core. Maybe that was why he wanted to destroy it before anything else. Maybe that was why he refused the romance between Elpis and Superbia. how could she bring Death to their doors?

Knowing Elpis was back with The sin fueled Ishtar with rage. Jealousy strangled his heart at the mere thought of them touching one another, kissing one another... killing together. His anger turned into fear as he saw both of them in front of him. Pride -and Ishtar could never admit it- was looking perfect as usual. His meat suit had always been carefully chosen, enough to be seen as perfect by anyone who would look at him. His eyes were cold, blue, but filled with malice. His costume was neat, royal blue and typical of a modern human with taste, complete with leather shoes and silver cuffs. Elpis was splendid. Her pink hair braided on the side and her curvy body wrapped in a red dress that would have mesmerized the god if he wasn't at their mercy.

"Do you know what true fear is like?" Elpis asked, in a cold voice.

In the hallucination, Ishtar was beaten up, bloody and chained to his throne. Pride was kneeling in front of him, khaos in his hand and glee he barely contained in his eyes.

"Fear? I know no fear.." Ishtar replied, spitting blood on the sin. "Get this over with,  Abomination."

Pride chuckled and smirked. His hues flashed a bright purple color and he took a handkerchief to wipe his face clean.

"I don't take orders from washed-up gods, Ishtar. I finish when I want to. I finish when she says what she needs to say."

"Washed-up god?!" He laughed and shrugged.

"He never was the brightest tool in the box wasn't he?" Pride chuckled at Elpis who walked closer to him and put her hand on his shoulder.

"He never was. Always thought he was the most powerful, the brightest... the strongest. He betrayed me."

"Like the true coward, he is."

"How dare you judge me? You speak as if you could even understand emotions!"

"Resorting to insults? Weak." Pride didn't like what the god said, what all of these said about him. They all imagined he had no emotions. That he was an empty corpse with nothing, not even a conscious and he was driven by primary instincts. They couldn't be more wrong. He was more. He had always been more. Elpis realized it before and she realized it even now.

"You say you have no fear but I think you have one. You fear my anger." Elpis said walking closer to Ishtar and kneeling before him. "You fear my disgust of you... of your betrayal." Her hand cupped his cheek and she smirked at him. "You fear my love for him." She looked at Pride and gave him a softer smile.

"Why would I fear your petty feelings for him?" He asked, coughing blood on her hand.

"Because you fear him. More than my anger, you fear my beloved. You see... you robbed us from a future we wanted to share. You wronged him. And he doesn't like it when someone wronged him." She said cleaning her hand on his shirt.

"And you won't like it when I am angry." Pride took over, standing back up and extending his hand so Elpis could hold onto his hand and stand up too. "You forced Elpis to 2000 years locked away from the world. You punished her for loving /me/" he growled the last words, while his aura started to spread across the room. "You hurt her. You hurt the very one you claimed to love. You betrayed--"

"She chose you!" -Ishtar screamed- "she chose you!

I had to do something!"

"I never was yours!" Elpis screamed before she curled her fingers into balls. "I never was yours! You wanted me for yourself! You sick bastard!"

"Elpis! You were in love with that thing--"

"Enough!! You said you didn't know fear? You had no reason to be afraid? You lie. You lie and you know why?" She pointed fingers at him but Pride pulled her against his frame and cupped her cheek with his free hand.

"I will handle this from now. Did you say your piece?"

"No. No, I didn't. Ishtar, of all the siblings I had, you were the one I respected the most. I loved you and you betrayed me. I have nothing but contempt for you. Nothing.." her eyes glowed brightly and she looked at Pride, overwhelmed by her emotions. Pride stroked her cheek and planted a kiss on her lips, on purpose to rile the god up.

"Take the best seat, Elpis. It is my turn."

Ishtar was faking a face of bravery while in fact, her words impacted him like he was stabbed by a long knife. He felt that the sin's aura had spread on the room, and was suffocating him. His wounds were opened and hurting, his throat was dry and almost closed off and he had trouble breathing. Pride hated to see his goddess upset. He knew that her anger was the tip of the emotions she was feeling. Her heart was broken and the pain was plastered all over her face. He hated seeing it and it fueled his anger to the point that he wanted to avenge her. Like he Promised.

"You made her cry." Pride said, igniting khaos with the fire of Tartarus.

"You caused her demise." Ishtar said chuckling darkly "I am not afraid of you. I am the All-father."

"Keep telling you telltales Ishtar. The truth is.. you are terrified." He turned around, his eyes now purple flames as he twirled his sword and started to cut the god's chest with the tip. Which elicited painful cries from him." You know I will end you and there is nothing you can do about it." He kept cutting the god with the tip of his sword. "I wanted to punish you like I did your brother, but I realized I didn't need to trap you to steal your power."

The cuts he had been doing were, in fact, a sigil taught by Elpis. The sigil of Khaos the former all father. Elpis started to chant a spell that activated the sigil and started to siphon his energy. The god screamed as it was painful, and tried to set himself free in vain. Pride then looked at Elpis. They agreed that this power was his but because of the spell, only Elpis could give it to him, he never doubted her loyalty to him and this was a moment of truth.  She smiled and whispered "I love you" before sending the power inside the sin.  Pride felt his power increase, the surge of energy inside of him cause da bright flash of light to blind everyone in the room. That was horrifying for the god. To feel his own power slip off of his body and watch his nemesis become powerful in front of his very eyes achieved to induce fear in his heart.

"So this is how an all-father feels?" Pride mused before he resumed twirling Khaos. "How exciting! How... perfect." He said as he gave Ishtar a slasher smile. "How does it feel to be killed by someone who just de-powered you?" He said, grinning widely.  "Oh? You can't speak? No need to."

Ishtar knew he was going to the void and started to scream and tried to move back as he saw the sin come closer.  Pride laughed so hard that when he lifted the sword and was about to stab him, the god woke up. He was sweating and put his hand onto his chest to calm his heartbeats. What was that? What was this feeling that made him feel like it was the end of the world? That was fear.... pure fear.

COPG; New dawn

rewriting of that little bit for us <3

New dawn.

Tonight, the goddess of Hope was contemplating the beautiful landscape The Underworld had to offer. she had to admit that from Pride's chambers, she had the best view of the whole realm. For all those weeks spent recovering from her release and those millennia spent in prison, the pink-haired goddess felt something new. It wasn't anger for once -this feeling had died out for the moment in favor of allowing her hatred of her siblings to incubate a little longer-. it wasn't sorrow. -she had mourned for the deceased allies she still had in this plane of existence or the other. Her honest and loyal brothers and sisters were already dead, destroyed by the traitors who forced her into this situation. It wasn't even Hope, which was a given due to the recent development with her relationship with Pride.

It was Pride.

She was proud of her sin. of what he accomplished since she last saw him; A lot had changed, -him first- and from a king without a crown who talked about his freedom when Hades was still in charge, he became the one in charge of everything. he overcame his father, he was better than him. he kept his word and it impressed the goddess who saw him with brand new eyes. She was proud of him, of the first step he took to quench his thirst. but there was something more tugging at her heartstrings. She was starting to know the new version of him and while at the beginning, it was difficult for her, -she refused to accept the truth-, it dawned on her that this version might be better than the older one. This Pride didn't tell lies as the old version did. she would never have to worry about him telling her the truth, no matter how crude and hard it could be. she would never have to worry about him hiding from her as the older version did.  it would spare her a few heartbreaks. it would allow for them to be better, have more... be stronger... together. her heart was beating faster against her ribcage at the untouched potential this relationship might be and the potential struggles to come. all she was thinking of, was how attractive Superbia was now, as he was rising through the ashes, expanding his power, expanding his horizon and ambition.  it made her blush a little and give a crooked smile at his face. yes, he was attractive and for the first time in a long while, she was starting to feel drawn to him.. rather than to the ghost of the older version of him.

COPG: my king

(Pride x Elpis)

Elpis tilted her head to the side, her pink locks cascaded onto her shoulders and the small of her back. Her fingers were fidgeting with her lush golden dress as she stared at the sin in front of her. He was focused on the plans laid on his desk, so he didn't move from his desk as the goddess was standing next to him.

He crowned himself. Elpis realized that the minute she was released from her vessel. He kept his promise. She still remembered how it was 2000 years ago when he was still used by Hades. She wished she was there when he took over and defeated his father. She wanted to see him be victorious, claim his power over his siblings, triumph over Fate itself. Her eyes lit up, the golden orbs started to glow against the black sclera of her eyes as a shiver ran down her spine. He crowned himself.

She smiled widely, admiring this prowess of his and walked towards him, to the desk he was sitting at. He was the Sin of all Sins. the most powerful of them all and power radiated from him. Since he defeated her brother Leviathan, his strength increased. His power reached a new level, and it transformed him. Her eyes were intensely looking at him and her fingers traced the table as she finally leaned against the table, next to him.

He did it, he set himself free from his father's thumb and while the consequences were devastating for him -his siblings were plotting against him and nearly killed him-, he filled the shoes rather well. Her heart was beating fast, her emotions were out of balance as she felt admiration, gratitude, desire, love and awe mix together.

"You are the king now, Superbia." She whispered. She couldn't say more but was hoping he could feel what she was feeling at the moment. A maelstrom of emotions.

"I am, Elpis. I am but a challenged king." He added with a faint smirk crept on his lips.

"There is no king who is not challenged. My late father was, by his own children who wanted to have the crown for themselves."

"Your brother did kill him." Pride noted. Elpis sighed and nodded slowly. "I will not let this happen to me."

"You won't. I won't allow for this to happen. I'm not losing you again." She said, her fingers gently stroked his cheek.

"You can't fight a war that isn't yours to fight. My siblings would crush you to pieces, so you will sit this one out."

"But...."

"I understand you are powerful, but they can snuff the life out of you with a snap of their fingers. You sit this one out."

".........Understood." She sighed and yanked her head back. She closed her eyes tight. "Superbia...2000 years ago, we talked about you becoming king. You promised me you will and I am so happy to see you kept your word." He stopped looking at his plans and put his hand on her soft thigh, gently stroking it and eliciting a purr from her.

"I wouldn't have done it otherwise. however, say it again? what am I?"

"a king."

"Just /a/ king?" He teased her, his hand stroking her leg a little higher.

"/My/ King." She replied with a moan, as she put her hand over his. His eyes flashed purple and he grinned.

"That's it, Elpis..."

COPG Golden dreams

A/ N: My evil goddess had a little daydream! Had to write it down since she's been sending me mental pictures:p

XXXX

Ayasha was laying on the bed of the All-father's chambers. Her green eyes were staring at the wall before her as her mind was racing. She had to be one step ahead of the game, especially since Leviathan, one of the strongest primeval gods was destroyed. She knew Elpis might feel heartbroken when she realized that her precious Pride would never love her. Using her disappointment to destroy both of them seemed like a bright idea at the moment. Elpis had always been so passionate about the sin, there was no shortage of memories of the younger goddess gushing about the sin and claiming he was different from the others. Ayasha snarled in disgust, equating the Sin to garbage and imagining her sister fawning over a pile of dirt, rolling all over it and calling it love. It was not such a thing. It was giving pearls to swine and even then, Ayasha knew she had insulted swine. Sins were less than animals. They were nothing but monsters designed to eliminate other gods. They were nothing but weapons used and abused by their father, Hades. Pride thought he was smart. He thought that he « rebelled » against his creator, but ultimately he was just like him, maybe even more limited than the god of Death. He was a child throwing a tantrum and calling it rebellion and Elpis was nothing more but a little girl who didn't know what true love was, not that it mattered to Ayasha who knew what love was but never felt it for anyone but herself.

The golden-skinned goddess was selfish, it was the biggest and best-kept secret of all the Prima Donna (the primeval gods' realm). Ayasha only loved herself, her ambition and dreams and considered true love to be a game of fools, played by fools and lost by fools. Why would she give everything to someone who might not return her feelings? Why should she suffer for someone who might disappear? She couldn't understand « Love » and even less the love Elpis had for the sin but she could use it against them. The thought made her grin as she imagined moving the pieces of the imaginary chessboard she had in mind. Maybe ruining her sister's spirit would help defeat the Sin ? It had her roll on her back and look at the ceiling, a large smirk on her lips as she was allowing her hands to explore her body. Ishtar would do as she pleased, convinced of her innocence and genuine concern for Elpis and their pantheon. He was extremely powerful and her trump card she reserved to the sin, should he survived the slew of enemies she wanted to send them, once she knew where they were hiding. Maybe Ishtar would put an end to this by killing Pride? Oh.. the thought made her lick her lips. She imagined his meatsuit cut in half, intestines leaking his essence as he would strugle to remain whole. She imagined Ishtar holding onto him by the skull, forcing Elpis to watch as he would yank it out of his meatsuit in his attempt at unmaking him again. The screams of her sister were music to her ears, the begging were turning her on and she let her hands slide underneath her robes to stroke her sensitive neither lips. Pain and suffering were driving Ayasha, they were the sweet rewards she wanted to receive for having been such a cunning mind. He would submit to her, once remade and turned into her personal weapon. She would use him against Ishtar, destroy the All-father and then destroy her brothers and sisters until there was nothing else but her. Elpis would witness with horror that her pet became Ayasha's and that single thought made the golden goddess moan loudly. It felt good, revenge that was. It felt good to know that she could manipulate everyone and get away with it. It felt good to dream a little bit because reality was vastly different from her daydream. For now, she had to endure her sibling. She had to endure his emotions and his violence. She had to endure his lack of vision but it was a necessary evil. One she had to endure if she wanted to win, and she would. Oh... she would.

COPG this isn't a goodbye

"This isn't a goodbye, This is a new beginning.

We knew from the beginning that it would not have been the story of a lifetime, but just a moment between the two of us. It would have been you, looking after me until you could save the goddess I hosted within me. It would have been me, enduring you being absent for a very long period of time, enduring solitude, enduring the inner conflict within me. It would have been me fighting against the goddess who wanted nothing more but to tear me apart for being close to you... closer even.

This isn't a goodbye, this is a new beginning. I know you will wipe my mind the minute I fall asleep. I know we're on borrowed time here but I made peace with it, with not being able to remember you. Truth to be told, this might have been the most merciful act you've ever done and if I was the one who made you act kindly towards a human, then you are capable of being so much more than just evil. My initial assessment of you wasn't that wrong. I can take it proudly, even if I won't be the one to notice it.

We're on borrowed time, so that means, tonight it's all about you and me. It's all about us and the smiles and the grins and the moans and the shivers you send down my spines. It's all about closing this story so you can begin a new one. A better-suited one with a better-suited mate.

I wish I could say I would never forget you, but I'd be lying. I wish I could say I would forever carry you with me, but I'd be lying. I know, however, that somehow, I will be a different person now that Hope has returned to our plane of existence and you... you, my love, awoke.

This is not a goodbye, this is a new beginning. A new one for you and for me but tonight, it's all about now. about us. So let's celebrate."

COPG: Elpis

(Elpis)
Patience becomes your second nature when you are forced into a never-ending reincarnation cycle. Mind you, I chose this fate when I chose to love instead of hate. My people, the primaeval gods hated the Sins. For them, they were just weapons of mass destruction, empty shells and tools used by Hades in order to overthrow Zeus and the rest of the gods. For me, Pride was more than this. Ishtar, Ayasha and even Leviathan, my older brothers believed I was naive and misguided. All of them tried in their own way to make me quit and turn my back on Pride. They tried.. yes they tried.
It never worked. I couldn't work. I entwined my destiny with Pride's the second I realized I was in love with him. I chose him, despite the red flags. I chose him, despite everything and everyone telling me it wasn't wise. I chose him, taking the risk to have my feelings never returned. I chose him despite all of that. Was it blind devotion? blind faith in a creature that did nothing but hurt me? He wasn't perfect, we weren't perfect. I was naive, gullible, innocent when I met him and by his side, I became something more, something stronger and to be feared. Then they punished me.
It was that love that made me hold onto reality.. the dream of finding my beloved again. Mind you, tarnished by the prospect of never being able to reclaim what we lost. He doesn't know me anymore, despite having regained memories of the life we had together. This version of him doesn't know me... doesn't feel the tiniest bit of what his old self, did. So why do I insist? Why should I insist? Why couldn't I just... I guess it's because he's all there is...for me. He's my everything and I intend to conquer what he became, reclaim my place...his affection. all the while I am getting revenge.

Chronicles of the Primeval Gods : Life and Death of Leviathan : He just wanted to be king

A/N: Exploring this douchebag again. Each and every one of the villains of this story is only united in their hatred of the Sins and their disappointment in their own sister Elpis. With Elpis back into the collective minds of her folks, former grudges and disharmony came back to these gods minds. Leviathan is powerful but arrogant and his arrogance cost him the throne because he underestimated his siblings: Isthar the god of War and Ayasha the goddess of knowledge. Now that he's fully back to his old self, he's having a sweet dream. Keep in mind, he's a key player in Elpis liberation since he has the Dagger of Fate. Also, keep in mind he's an asshole and a villain? Hate him all you want:D I'm having fun with him so far!

xxx xxx

The Dagger of Fate seemed like a normal dagger. It was a beautiful lethal weapon, with an ivory sculpted handle, a carved blade made of meteorite and some gold highlights. It also was quite discreet for a god-killer blade, so the primeval god took it with him as he roamed the Earth. Elpis and Pride still were difficult to track down because the goddess was still shielded by the Sin's aura but Leviathan knew that eventually, they would figure out that he was in possession of the dagger and would find him if they wanted to get their hands on the item. He was counting on it, on Pride wanting to set his beloved free and being forced to challenge the master of the oceans to achieve that goal. Leviathan relished in knowing he would soon destroy the sin and all he had to do was be a little patient. He would be patient but from time to time a little motivation was necessary. Visiting places by the sea was his favorite activity. It allowed him to think his plan through and anticipate the next move of his enemies. Ayasha and Ishtar were his end goal of course! He would overthrow the new All-Father and his wise sister and take the throne for himself but Elpis and Pride were his current targets.

He stopped by a wooden deck. The sea was agitated on that day which mirrored his emotions as he recollected the past events that led to his current situation. Ayasha outsmarted him and favored Ishtar who became the new all-father instead of him. Elpis refused to marry him and when he tried to punish her, Ishtar intervened. Today, Leviathan was sporting a rather dashing look. Always an amateur of fine clothes, he was wearing a midnight blue suit and leather shoes. His beard grew a little more since he arrived on Earth so he ran his calloused fingers over the softness of the beard his vessel sported. His chestnut eyes were staring at the violent waves that crashed onto the rocks below the deck and the seagulls added some familiarity to the melody of the sea. There, Leviathan felt he was in his element and he would indulge in daydreaming. They helped him resist his frustration of being spoiled of a title he had always dreamed about. Ever since he realized he had power, the master of the ocean developed a taste for power. At first, his ambition was to be the best of his Khaos children and overpower the oldest siblings such as Sitaa or Ishtar. Those two emotions, war, and love were powerful and eternal. Of course, he would have to do better than Ishtar and Sitaa but it wasn't small feat. However, instead of allowing defeat to infiltrate his heart, he took refuge in his ambition and allowed it to fuel his motivation.

He always imagined an alternate timeline where Elpis was still naive and innocent and Khaos was still alive. Leviathan fancied that if he had known earlier that Elpis was seeing Pride, he would have stopped this madness before any real damage could have been done. He imagined overthrowing the Khaos and crowning himself the new All-Father of the primeval gods. Gaea, of course, would have been spared or maybe exiled on Earth since she cared so much for humanity. He would have defeated Pride and the rest of the seven sins and put him on a leash. The idea of having the most lethal weapon at the tip of his fingers sent shivers down his spine. He already knew how to put Pride to good use, how to smash his enemies without even risking his life in wars he might lose. He would send Pride instead and eliminate whoever wanted to oppose him. The thought of dominating such a threat made the god's crotch harden. He knew he would enjoy humiliating this creature who pretended to be at the same level than the gods. Sins were abominations and the god of the oceans would never see them for something else. He would never acknowledge them being capable of feeling emotions. Leviathan imagined the sweet and solar Elpis agreed to marry him and sit on his lap while he would be on the throne. He imagined receiving some affection with her soft hands stroking his chest and her lips finding their ways to his neck. He imagined her being completely submissive to him, following his very commands. She would worship him for only he was the strongest and best god there was. She would not resist him when his hands would explore her curves when he would hold onto her soft plump flesh, when he would claim her body with his divine cock.

He had always lusted after her. She was stunning already. Her pink locks and bumblebee eyes made her uniquely attractive. Yet it was Elpis innocence and naiveté that attracted the god and made him fantasize about her. Much like the wars he fought, she was a land yet to conquer in his perfect fantasy. A land he would visit and make his every single day for eternity. It couldn't go otherwise, at least, not in his head. A low growl escaped from his lips as he caressed the dream of claiming Elpis to himself, ruling as the king and dominating Pride. He added a twist in his scenario. Indeed, the kicks he would get would be more important if he achieved all of this /after/ she gave herself to Pride. Leviathan was vindictive and repulsive in his ways to exert his vengeance. He still remembered what happened a few nights before she was stabbed by Ishtar. She had the audacity to reject him when he tried to marry her. She first used her words, claiming foolish love for a creature that couldn't feel anything. When he tried to overpower her with his intimidating presence, she didn't submit to him. Elpis wanted Pride and she fiercely rejected her older brother. He pushed her against the mattress, his eyes were fuming with rage and with foam at the corner of his mouth. Elpis was scared of him but fought against him so fiercely so he wouldn't take advantage of her. She screamed for help, pushed him away and even tried to use her powers to harm him but her fear of the god rendered her powers ineffective. Elpis was at his mercy and he would have had her, he would have, if it wasn't for Ishtar.

Ishtar came to Elpis rescue and the two gods fought for a while before Leviathan stepped down in favor of his younger brother. Ishtar was more powerful than him because he was the god of War and was imbued with great power. He watched as Ishtar took Elpis away, saving her from Leviathan and ruining his efforts to overpower the goddess. If Pride was responsible for soiling Elpis, Isthar was a rival the master of the oceans wanted to get rid of. As he looked at the angry sea that became even more agitated to reflect his state of mind, Leviathan outstretched his hand towards the infinite water before him. He could bend it to his will and he knew that this power could help him take over his brother's throne. A smile crept on his lips at the thought of his vengeance and lifted his hand, provoking a typhoon where there should be none. A soft chuckle tore the silence open and forced the god to turn his attention to its owner. It wasn't difficult to guess since he already heard that voice before. As he turned his head to the side, he saw his sister. Magnificent vessel she chose in that green-eyed blonde. Magnificent she was indeed, in that tight long-sleeved blue dress she was wearing. Clever as well, since she knew blue was his favorite color.

« I thought you trusted me to find our sister, Ayasha. »

«The All-father surely doesn't. I came on his behalf and I suggest we find another place. I do not like the sea. I do not like being this vulnerable and in the open, we never know where Pride's spies could be. »

« Fair enough sister. We will find a more suitable place for the conversation to follow. »

He snapped his fingers, zapping them back to the main city, in front of a tea shop. Ayasha was a ruthless manipulator and he knew that if he wasn't careful, she could very well sway him in. He was the primeval god who wanted to be King and goddamnit, he would be.

COPG: the New Hades and New Persephone

He's not the New Hades, despite him claiming the throne.
He's not the New Hades, despite his desire to take over the world
I'm not the New Persephone, despite being the daughter of Gaea
I'm not the New Persephone, despite being the Lightbringer

Yet, when one looks at our story, it has uncanny parallels
For me, the daughter of the All-mother, of life itself fell for a Sin.
I was attracted by his darkness and I followed him without failing
My loyalty knew no bounds, my love was eternal and unbreakable
And I became mature and worthy of the title "Queen"

But we were betrayed and he forgot about me and all we've built.
I didn't forget him but I couldn't witness his rise in power,
I missed him take over the Underworld and become its king
I was robbed of his ascension to glory and other moments too
I was robbed of him... And my destiny.... until now

He's not the New Hades, I'm not the new Persephone
Because we are so much stronger and better than those gods
I am Light and he is Darkness, two sides of the same coin
I struggled enough to weaken the seal and he is going to break it
And when I'm free...

When I'm free....

You better pray I don't catch you first,
For you haven't seen yet just how much Light can hurt your soul

Chronicles of the primeval gods : Tears of a mother -Gaea Soliloquy-

A/N: All the usual disclaimer! this Gaea belongs to me

« My child, my beautiful child.

I do not know where you are. I do not know how you feel but I certainly know how much you're in pain. I have felt it when Ishtar stabbed you. I have felt your essence in great turmoil and I found myself powerless at helping you. I couldn't save you from Ishtar and Ayasha and I blame myself for not having seen it coming. I should have known, Ayasha was always so full of ambition and she understood very fast, how powerful information could be. She knew everything and she could use it against everyone. I should have known better but I was blinded by my trust in all of my children. They sacrificed your life because you found something beautiful. You fell in love.

I welcomed all type of life, for I was at the origin of it. Primeval gods, New gods, humans, and even the sins are somehow an extension of myself. I was less worried about the war between Sins and gods than I was happy to see that my latest born found love. He made you happy, he made you mature. I have noticed it while others were too blinded by their own feelings about you. I saw you became a woman in front of my very loving eyes but I wasn't there when you were betrayed and stabbed. I wasn't there when you spent millennia trapped within humans. What a cruel punishment you had, all of this because you fell in love. I was gravely mistaken to think that it would stop with you being cursed.

A war broke between my children for there were those who sided with you and thought your love for the sin could be our salvation and others who were convinced that Isthar did the right thing and prevented our extinction. They killed each other and each passing time, I could feel the death of my children. Oh my darling, it was so much, too much for me to endure so I left our realm. I left and fled to Earth in order to find you. I still remembered you and I searched and searched the Earth in hope to find you until I stopped searching because the curse got to me. I forgot about you. I remained on Earth after your brother killed your father and became the new All-Father. I couldn't return to what once was our home. I decided to stay neutral and not take part of anything involving our family as long as mankind was safe.

Yes, Mankind. My creation. I realized how powerless I was at stopping them betraying you or their father. I realized that maybe my rôle wasn't to prevent anything from happening but merely witness it. So I remained neutral and let life unfold before me. They couldn't murder me, so they spared me which was fine because I survived long enough to remember you when you scratched the seal. Oh, Elpis. I am weeping for your plight. I am so sorry for what happened to you. I am sorry for the loss of your siblings as well. Do you think I didn't feel it when they killed my sweet Khrön or when they killed my first born, Sitaa? Do you think I didn't weep for them? I was distraught just like I always am when my children are being murdered but I remained neutral because that is how I am supposed to be.

All I ever wanted, was for you to be happy my daughter. I wanted you to experience life like humans do and are the happiest creature I have ever made. I am sorry they brought you into this world of darkness and sadness and I know that when you are free, you would want me to side with you and I can't. I am their mother as well as yours. They are my children, misguided creature who took wrong decisions and hurt so many souls in the process. They are still my children and I love them despite their flaws. I am aware you would want to avenge yourself and I won't stop you. You do as you must, you live the life I gave you as you wish to. I just hope you will be happy, this is my only demand as your mother.

Be happy Elpis.

Your mother Gaea. »

Chronicles of the primeval gods :Part 2 Life and death of Sitaa

-Escape-

« It hurts to think that you weren't powerful enough to prevent your sister from being stabbed and cursed by one of your own. Never in my life would have I imagined Ishtar capable of betraying Elpis. I watched them grow closer to each other, I watched him take her to the battlefield and work alongside her. I watched him being overprotective of her. I don't understand why he turned on her so much that he decided the best for all of us was to curse her? I am afraid he wanted to kill our sister but couldn't gather enough courage to complete the task. It shocked me and hurt so much that I didn't even hesitate and sided against him and Ayasha. It wasn't clear to me back in the days what could possibly motivate the two of them to act the way they did. It didn't ring a bell.

I loved Elpis. She was the baby of the family. The latest born out of love between Chaos and Gaea. Well, love... I don't know if it was what motivated the two of them to have one more child but it certainly made the purest of us all. At least, that was what we liked to think. Elpis was kind, she was loving, she was curious about everything and I mentored her. I taught her about love and about the strength and resources one could find when in love. She followed me everywhere and I loved teaching her. I loved protecting her. She was the very best that came out of our parents and I wanted to protect that.

Maybe that was the reason I first didn't notice the change in her. I refused to acknowledge she had grown up and was her own woman and coddled her, manipulated her along our siblings to keep her « innocent » and naive. We didn't see her romance with a sin coming. We couldn't anticipate this union. Something bothered me when she destroyed the Sumerian Pantheon. I couldn't put my fingers on the « why » she did it but it should have made sense from the very beginning. She was capable of love and produced light, but she was capable of the worst wrath that could be produced. The one that came from a broken hope. Hope was cruel, hope led to despair and none of us saw that coming. She, who was raised in some sort of Eden had matured without us realizing that it was because she encountered a SIN. She wasn't a girl anymore, but a woman.

When it was discovered that she was in fact, in love with a SIN, our mortal enemies it really caused troubles within the pantheon. Many blamed Ayasha for not having anticipated it but others like me were thrilled. Maybe if she was involved in a relationship with our enemies there was a way we could spare ourselves a war and work towards partnership instead. I, for one, was supportive of this union because I could see how happy Elpis was. I could see how beautiful she was becoming. I could tell Pride was making her happy. Yet she was betrayed and stabbed and a war broke between the primeval gods. I escaped the war and hid on Earth, more concerned about finding the human my sister was forced into than fighting a pointless war. Unfortunately, the curse came at me and I forgot about Elpis. I forgot completely up until she scratched her seal. I felt it within my soul that she was alive and I decided to search for her vessel. In my hubris, I nearly was found by Ayasha but it was Khrön who found me.

We talked about the past, about the present and about our resolve to find Elpis. It felt good to have an ally again. It felt good to be myself again. I was still in hiding, determined not to be found by my siblings while I was looking for our sister. What was my surprise when Khrön was discovered and executed.

 -Hold your breath-

« They killed Khrön. They killed the messenger of the gods! I cannot believe it! I felt it, his essence vanished to the void. I heard his scream as they killed him. He vanished. He disappeared and I knew that he would never come back to me. I couldn't breathe. Fear crept into my heart and I started to think. How could I approach Elpis without being spotted on by Ayasha? My vessel doesn't look like me at all because I always change it and I never expose too much of my power. I never use it, to be honest. I never influence anyone, never let them peak at my godly nature, never ever! Because Ayasha had eyes everywhere she would have spotted me. I would have been treated like Khrön who was tortured and maimed to the point he only was at half of his original power. I didn't want to be crippled.

So I held my breath. I was hoping that Elpis might eventually get out of the safe place she shared with Pride so I could meet her myself. I wanted to tell her how sorry I was for failing her. I wanted to hold her in my arms, I wanted to cry and express my gratitude that she found a way to escape from her prison. I wanted to meet Pride and tell him that I wanted to work with him if that allowed me to protect Elpis. It was all that mattered! My pantheon was slaughtered, gods were forced to work for Ishtar and Ayasha or killed and tortured. I didn't have much choice but to align myself with my dear sister and protect her the best I could. So I decided to act like a fool. I knew Sins had minions all over Earth and I started to look around for any of those who could take me to Pride. I wasn't very lucky. They would not give me time to explain and rush back to the Underworld.

I couldn't even enter the underworld because while I knew Pride might allow me to explain myself and we had a common goal, I didn't know of his siblings. That didn't work until I found one of his minions and sent a message about him meeting me so we could talk about how we could protect Elpis. I also gave to the minion a piece of good faith in the form of Elpis golden bracelets I kept from the « crime scene ». They were hers, forged by myself and contained a strong magic capable of protecting her from one fatal blow from the All-Father. They would dissolve after such an attack, but it was a gift from me to avoid her destruction if the All-Father came to hate her. It contained most of my power of my glory days when I was still worshipped so I thought it was a good idea.

As I left the minion who, I hoped reported to his master, I was moved yet again because I felt Elpis essence. It was faint, exceptionally faint but because I was in contact with the bracelets and my bond with Elpis was restored, I could feel her on Earth. Somewhere I could not pinpoint due to the Sin's aura. But she was there and I smiled. Last I knew, however, was that my smile stopped the minute I heard a familiar voice calling me « Sitaa. Long time no see! ». It was Ayasha. She found me because for a brief second, I wasn't on my guard. I let my essence burn in hopes that maybe Elpis could spot me and join me. Foolish heart! You brought me to my demise!

-Loyalty-

I looked into her eyes as she walked towards me, smug and feeling powerful. She grinned at me, her hands on her slender waist. Her green eyes were glowing brightly with excitement as she finally caught me. «I finally found you, traitor. I knew that sooner or later you would make a mistake. I was peculiarly focused on you. » She whispered, her fingers running over the black strands of hair that teased my shoulders. « Ayasha, goddess of knowledge or serpent extraordinaire? » I said, earning a slap on my face before she collected herself and stopped walking in circles. Her hands were on her waist and her peachy lips curled into a snarl. « You can call me whatever you want Sitaa. It's not going to change your future. You fled from our kingdom, you sided against Ishtar and then fled the conflict like a coward. » She accused me. All of that was true so I didn't shrug. Yes ! I left. Yes ! I betrayed Ishtar after he betrayed Elpis. Yes, I was a traitor but they went too far. They killed the All-Father, they cursed Elpis and all of that for what? For power? For the thrill of it? Ayasha didn't seem to be very affected by her own words as if those deaths weren't unnecessary and sad? We lost brothers and sisters. We lost our father, killed by the very hands of Isthar, how could she be happy about it?

I furrowed my brows and crossed my arms over my chest. My powers were reduced almost to nothing, I wasn't going to leave the scene, I was dead! I knew it! But if I died, I wanted to die with my head held high. She narrowed her eyes and groaned at me. « Where is Elpis? » I shrugged at her « I don't know. Haven't seen her. » It was true. I haven't. I tried to reach out to her but I couldn't just find her. « Oh really? Sitaa, this is very serious, we need to find her. We need to find her before she and that sin bring destruction and death upon us. » She said, trying to play the kind and concerned sister but the more she was talking, the easier it became for me to understand her. She relished in the situation. She relished in the loss of our pantheon and the curse of Elpis. She relished in the power she was holding against me. She kept talking about how Khrön resisted and pretended to be brave while she believed he was pathetic and a slob. She believed he was useless « messenger of the gods? Please, we never needed him just like the Greeks didn't need Hermes! He died like he lived, a total disgrace. » her words stung, made me furious, I curled my fingers into fists and held back a little bit. She kept rambling, telling me about Elpis and about how much she despised her and felt betrayed by her decision to love a sin despite /her/ warnings.

I was seeing the big picture. She wanted to be in control, to have people fall in line, to rule with fear and it hit me like a truck. Ishtar was being manipulated by our sister. He was nothing but a pawn in her evil scheme. She was dangerous. I lost my cool when she started to insult Elpis. « She was no more than a titan poop.. maybe even less than shit actually. Even Titan shit is more valuable. » I growled at her « Stop saying it ! » but she laughed and kept talking. « She always pretended to be innocent and pure. Pure ? My ass! She was nothing but a whore, a sin's whore. Maybe Pride shared her with his siblings who took turns raping her dirty cunt! She should have been, it would have wiped her smug-- » I lost it. I slapped her hard. It was hard enough for her cigarette to fall onto the floor, her cheek to turn red and her nose to bleed. How dare she say such things about our sister ?. « How dare you Ayasha? You speak of her with disgust because she fell in love with a sin, but at least someone loved her. You never found what she did when she met him and you will never find it. You are ugly, despicable. » I screamed at her before her minions restrained me.

« Shhh shhh. You are being emotional today. » She said as her eyes flashed a greener light, deeper and more tormenting light as her lips flashed an evil grin. I knew she was going to kill me. « You really don't know where she is? » I spat at her face, making her growl lowly before she took a tissue and wiped it out of her face. « Fine Sitaa. I really can't say I don't enjoy this because I really do. And » She snapped her fingers, stopping mortals from moving or noticing anything because we were on another astral plane. « I will make you scream! »

I died later on after she tortured me. I was hoping as she tortured me that Elpis could hear and feel my soul vanish. I used the remaining of my power to emit the brightest energy signal I could, flaming myself up like a beacon of Hope, like her.. as a tribute. I remained loyal, not disclosing the information Khrön obtained about her current location and died there.

Asma felt it in her heart. She felt the screams of the goddess trapped within her. She felt sadness engulf her to the point that she could only sit on her bed and cry. Elpis was already distraught about the death of Khrön, but even more, now that one of the few goddesses to have ever loved her was just murdered.

COPG : When she knew the truth

Pride belongs to my friend Nate, Asma belongs to me and the whole plot is my idea!

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

She lit a cigarette, one of many she would smoke on that day.
It was a nasty habit she successfully got rid of until he came into her life.
He stormed into it, wrecked it to the point that not so much was left behind.
Her life would end. It was plain and simple.
Her life would end so another one can exist. Another one that SHOULD exist.

It suddenly became clear, that there was a missing feeling all these years
One nobody could put their fingers on or even conceptualize: Hope.
There was a taste of fatality in this world, where everything was either written in stone, either not.
But always it had to happen when it had to happen. There was no Hope.
It suddenly became clear why: it was entrapped within her core.

To set it free, give back to mankind Hope, she would have to sacrifice herself.
It would have to come from deep within her, a selfless act, an act of love to break the seal.
Asma didn't know if she was ready to die, not so young, not when nothing was done.
She could hardly believe that it would be it and she would be no more. It couldn't be done.
But at the same time, her death would be noble, it would benefit everyone. It was bigger than her.

It was even worse!

She was scared but pretended she wasn't. She didn't feel like dying so soon when nothing happened.
She had always been alone in her private life, secretive, scared of the world and its pains.
She never got to live anything if it wasn't her passion and the people connected to it.
She painted, she sketched and she exhibited her work, but barely if not rarely engaged with others.
How could she die, when nobody was there at home? When nobody would mourn for her death?

It made her realize how little she lived and how little she actually mattered.
All of a sudden, her life was put into perspective and she realized she hadn't had enough of it.
Would she die so the entity inhabiting her would exist again? Yes, she would, eventually... maybe?
Would she die so the one before she would finally be able to hold his beloved in his arms? Maybe ?
She wasn't a bad soul, she would help him get what he wants, but maybe before she would enjoy life
Maybe before she would leave her print on Earth, make herself relevant.

How to tell that to a SIN? How to explain without him getting annoyed by her trivial needs?
How could she express her fears and disgust and sadness to someone who didn't care?
She didn't know and couldn't say, so she would smoke and contemplate her life and future.
She would sit and smoke and think of all the things she never got to do or dared to dream about
She would sit and smoke and maybe cry for all the lives she'd never have.

Or maybe she would tell him and they'd figure out a way to make it happen.

Or maybe she would tell him...

If only

If only......
