COPG: Life and Death of Ishtar: he was ready to put an end to it.

COPG:  Life and Death of Ishtar: he was ready to put an end to it.

Ishtar didn't wait for Ayasha to be ready and instantly teleported to the location she gave him.  He needed to see for himself the truth of her words. As soon as he arrived, he noticed how unusual the place looked. How come this place was such a wreck in the middle of tall buildings? It was completely taken over by flowers, vines, and other vegetation that made it look like a wild garden.  The naked eye could be fooled and would think that it was a genuine natural event, but he knew better. He could see the essence of his sister all over the place. He could literally see it on the floor mixed with the cum of that disgusting beast that was the Sin. He could see her godly essence at every corner of the former room, at the feet of every plant that grew from the blood of humans. He could see her influence and her essence lingering in this garden as well as the thoughts and emotions of the mortals who died within those walls.  They had sex there.  He could smell her. He could feel it in his bones, what had transpired in this room. It was as if the scene was playing in his very eyes. -courtesy of his beloved sister's essence-.

He felt the jaws of jealousy seize his heart and squeeze it hard as he looked over the whole scenerie. He could see his sister, laid on the floor, legs open for all to see. He could see it now, the cock of the Sin sliding in and out of his beloved sister. He could hear her screams, the choked moans as she would beg for more. He could feel how depraved that event was despite being unable to see what had exactly unfolded. All he could feel were the desires from the mortals slain here. He could feel their desperation for the goddess, their lust mixed with anger and bloodlust. He could feel them lose their minds and kill each other in the name of Elpis. It wasn't just her mere presence there that caused such a ruckus. No. She actively influenced them to give everything to her as tributes. They worshipped her, plain and simple, and she turned their lives upside down. If anything, life booming in this secluded place, turning the building into pieces, was a testament of her power.  Elpis had nothing to do with the meek goddess they convinced her to be. She was reclaiming her power, and that was easy to see.

Ayasha finally arrived, her blonde vessel dropped in nothing but a white and gold toga. She noticed the scenery and quickly came to the same conclusion as Ishtar. It was Elpis' doing. This place reeked of her essence, and the display of power was obscene but willful. Her dear sister wanted them to find it and to know that she was able to roam the Earth without being noticed by Ayasha's spies. It also was a way for her to showcase her power and influence on mortals. She had tapped into the destructive side of Life, as those trees that grew from the pools of blood and entrails on the floor testified. She had made such a bold and flamboyant move that Ayasha understood the gravity of the situation. Elpis was in control. For the first time in a long time, she was the one calling the shot, and worse than anything, she had vanished from their eyes and could strike at any moment. Ayasha swallowed a lump.

"Brother-mine. If anything, this is Elpis' declaration of war."

"Do you think I don't see it? She's taunting us with her display of power!" -He roared. His voice boomed in this makeshift garden. Ayasha swallowed a lump and bit her bottom lip-

"Ishtar... She is more powerful now than she's ever been. She grew trees and vines and flowers from inside a building. She tore this place into a million pieces and turned it into a garden. You can see it, can't you? Her influence? Humans worshipped her to the point of killing each other and themselves in doing so. They gave her everything, from their essence to their lives, and she took every last bit of it.  I think we do not need more evidence than the ones we already have. She is coming for us and we should be ready for it. She knows her way around the Prima Donna so..."

"Ayasha, I can feel fear squeeze your throat." -She dropped her head, blonde locks fell on her chest-

"I am afraid, brother-mine. I can admit it. I am afraid she would come and snuff us out of existence like she did the Sumerian Pantheon. I do want to live. So please... Please... I need to know that we're going to win this war." -Ishtar's face softened as he heard his sister's pleas. She must have been genuinely desperate for her to admit how scared she was. He realized that at this moment, he was the only one who could bring her some sort of comfort-

"I promise you that."

He pulled her into a tight hug because he thought that she needed to be held in his powerful arms. Deep down, however, He was extremely angry. Jealousy had eaten him alive, and all he wanted was to find the Sin and kill him for good. He couldn't bare the thought of that abomination fucking his sister. He couldn't bare the thought of her debasing herself with Pride in front of an audience. He had to put an end to it and he was willing to rush things over.

COPG: Life and Death of Ayasha: Aftermath of the death of Jupiter

 "Could you feel it, Ayasha?"

The stern voice of Gaea echoed through the walls of the Prima Donna. She appeared out of thin air, in front of Ayasha who was sitting at the fountain. Despite her attempts at locating her sister, the goddess of knowledge was not able to locate her. The only explanation she had was that Pride found a way to cast a spell that constantly kept her cloaked from her Eye, but how could he achieve such a feat? His magic was powerful, but to cast a cloaking spell that covered the whole Earth was a feat unheard of. Ayasha was so deep in her panic that she didn't even think about the possibility that Elpis was carrying a magical object that allowed her to remain cloaked while walking the mortal realm. Instead, what she did feel was the death of Jupiter and that concerned the goddess because she had an idea of who killed the god.

"I felt it, mother. I felt the death of Jupiter."

"You're livid. I thought it was to be expected that no inferior god would be a match to your sister."

"Did you come here to gloat, mother? How easy it must be for you to walk around and laugh at my attempts to save our lives when you do nothing for us!" She pointed out. Gaea wrinkled her nose and she crossed her arms above her chest.-

"Watch your tongue, child."

A brief flash of light crossed Ayasha's eyes and she clenched her fists as a biting tongue to stop her from talking back to her mother. The golden goddess put her hand against her chest and she tried to regulate her breathing.  Gaea was upset. Flowers started to grow through the concrete at her feet. Ayasha picked it up and focused on it to rile her mother up some more.

"Or what, Mother?" -She lifted a brow and tilted her head to the side, allowing some of her blonde strands to fall on her chest- "Are you afraid that it would set things in motion faster than anticipated?"

"No! I don't! I just don't understand why it's taken so long for you to find and deal with Elpis."

"She is well protected! that's why! Her Sin is with her and he is very powerful! Jupiter was supposed to simply tell me where she was. He was supposed not to engage with her because I knew that if he did, she would have killed him. He couldn't stop himself from talking to her.

"Elpis is vindictive. If anything, it is one of her fatal flaws. She is relentless when it comes to punishing those who wronged her. Jupiter beat her to an inch of her life a long time ago. Did you think that she would have forgotten about it?" - Gaea chuckled. She wanted to laugh at her daughter's lack of hindsight.-

"I did not. I assumed that he would be clever enough not to engage with her and just tell me that he spotted her. I guess I underestimated the male ego."

"No. You overestimated yourself. " -She lifted her upper lip and walked closer to her daughter- "I think that you should instead help your brother preparing the war. There is no way to avoid the war so we should try to focus on it instead of trying to locate her." -She then crossed her arms above her chest-

Ayasha blinked, ready to throw venom at her mother but found herself unable to. Gaea was right,  no matter how hard she tried, she couldn't find Elpis and it was indeed wasting her time to try and locate her. Deep down, Ayasha knew that she was terrified of a confrontation with her sister. She was terrified of death and the end of her existence as was Gaea but instead of being honest with herself, she hid behind schemes and plots so she wouldn't have to articulate her thoughts and face her fears. her mother caught her at her most vulnerable and for the first time in a while, she couldn't reply. She had no comeback, nothing to say to her mother, and was just left speechless.

"That's what I thought. Ayasha, if we put our head where it matters, we should come out of this victorious."

Would they? Ayasha desperately needed to believe her mother. She desperately needed to be comforted and she couldn't hold herself back and threw herself at her mother's feet. Gaea looked at her daughter and shook her head. Ayasha cried and whispered demands for forgiveness. Gaea grinned and asked her daughter to rise so she would see her face and she wrapped her arms around her frame to pull her into a hug. Gaea was delighted to see that Ayasha's mind was broken and she could use it for her own benefit and she would.  She would.

COPG: Life and death of Ayasha: terrified

The goddess of knowledge looked nothing like she once was. her human flesh suit appearance reflected the turmoil and stress she was under. How could she find peace again? War had been declared and there was no turning back. She could hate Ishtar all she wanted for not being able to kill their sisters when he had the opportunity, it was in the past. There was nothing she could have done to fix it. Elpis found the strength to scratch the seal that kept her locked inside human hosts. She found the strength to make the world remember her and because of it, Pride found her and set her free. Who would have thought that a sin could have been able to come to the rescue of a primeval goddess? What could possibly motivate him to act this way? Love? Ayasha was adamant that Sins couldn't feel anything. He couldn't possibly be in love with her sister to go to such an extent that he would kill one of them to set her free from her curse. She refused to believe that nothing but greed, calculation and maybe pettiness were at work in his mind. If it wasn't a desire to use Elpis to reach his goal, why would Pride have set her free?

Did he know about Elpis' true nature? Did he know about the untapped power inside her? He must have known before Elpis was cursed by the Dagger of Fate. He must have known since he found her and her power grew exponentially. How could she explain it otherwise? Ayasha's hair was in disarray. it was messy, tangled, and in some places, matted. She had swollen eyes from crying and sleepless nights. She wasn't elegant like she used to, instead Ishtar and their mother Gaea found her wearing nightgowns and cardigans. She didn't know and not knowing was worse than torture. It went against her very nature. She was supposed to know everything and if she didn't, then she would search and find the answer to any possible question in existence. Yet... Yet, she was facing a blank wall. When it came to this peculiar sin her sister, Ayasha knew nothing. She was aware that there were answers behind that wall. Some answers were begging to be found but she had no access to them. Instead, there was dread. there was fear. There was chaos in her mind. She was found "hoping" for the tides of war to be favorable to her. She was found wishing things had been different.  Instead... She was left walking around the palace aimlessly, her mind already too busy trying to make sense of a situation that didn't make any sense to her.

She hated the feeling of fear that had stuck to her bones. She hated uncertainty that plagued her nights with questions that kept on piling at the bottom of her mind without ever finding an answer. She hated having to rely on her brother and mother's goodwill to try and find some solace. Did they even believe there was a chance to reason with Elpis? Did they even believe they could win a war against Pride and Elpis at full force? None of them were dupe. None of them were stupid. They could all feel that Elpis' power grew so much that she was ready to challenge her mother for the title of All-Mother. They knew that the Mortal realm answered to her command, and while some of them still pledged allegiance to the All-Mother Gaea, it only was a matter of time before Elpis had swallowed them all. How nauseating that was! How petrifying that was! Ayasha was losing her mind but she still had enough strength and willpower to bet on her knowledge and try and find a way to victory with what she knew. Sooner or later, Pride and Elpis would reveal themselves once they would be ready, so she had to be ready before they showed up. She had to be otherwise she would be dead and Ayasha couldn't allow herself to lose.

COPG: chessgame V -recap-

COPG: chessgame V -recap-

// It was overdue. I wanted to state where we are in the storyline. :) They will forever be famous.

xxxx

Gaea finally chose to join her children in the fight against Elpis. She decided to lend her power and eventually maximize her chance of surviving the war by siding with a more powerful alliance. While her help would have been decisive if it was any other goddess,  Gaea felt that it would be useless against her daughter Elpis. Doubt had crept into her heart from the moment because she felt the power of her daughter. Elpis was becoming stronger, she was becoming far more powerful than Gaea expected her to be since she was able to control Nature. They even managed to talk to each other, briefly so, and the All-Mother realized that her daughter had awoken her power.  Elpis told her that she would take her crown and would become the new All-Mother, which scared Gaea so much that she joined her surviving children in a bid to survive.

Ayasha and Ishtar were preparing for the upcoming war. Ishtar was plagued with nightmares and hallucinations of his sister. Ayasha tried to ignore her fear since she was visited by the Black Butterfly. The drums of war started to beat and Ishtar was organizing his army. Monsters and minor gods responded to his call and were gearing up, forging new weapons and armor. The drums of war started to beat but the Primeval Gods put on a brave face while their hearts were torn apart.  Victory wasn't certain but a necessity. They had to win. Elpis had to die and the Sin had to be contained.  Perhaps, with the help of the All-Mother, there was a chance they could win this war and the siblings were hoping to have the favor of victory.

Elpis, well, she was thriving! Pride, with the help of an old friend turned foe turned ally -The goddess Hecate-, forged a ring that granted the Primeval Goddess a new freedom. She would finally be able to roam the mortal realm free without being located by her siblings. She would be able to use her magic and explore her powers without being found. Freedom...Freedom to be her true self and freedom to move. With that ring, she would be able to follow him anywhere he chose to go. She would be able to finally leave the confines of the walls he put her in. She would be able to be with him and that was the most important thing for the goddess. Nothing and no one would come between them. They would prepare for the war at their own pace and would attack when their enemies would be the least prepared for it.

COPG: The fear of death.

 COPG:

Ayasha desperately wanted to avoid death, for she knew that once a primeval god was to die, there was nothing left of them. There was just the void, the emptiness, and the cold. Doubt had crept into her mind, almost breaking it into pieces as she could foresee her demise at the hand of the most powerful goddess to ever exist. For a while, she thought that there was no way out of this and her mind crashed. Ayasha succumbed to fear and anxiety and was convinced that there was nothing to be done against the perfect balance of Life and Death, Creation and Destruction, her sister Elpis. Ayasha kicked herself back into her old self. She was the goddess of knowledge, wasn't she? She would find a solution and she would survive. She would, wouldn't she?

Chronicles of the primeval gods: Life and Death of Ayasha: And there will be darkness.

Chronicles of the primeval gods: Life and Death of Ayasha: And there will be darkness.

Ayasha knew she had to be patient. After all, Pride was very calculating and he would take any opportunity he had to outsmart her. It was a battle of wits and brains before anything else but that didn't mean she didn't want to get done with it already. Pride was a huge obstacle to her goal. His brothers and him were the cause of much of the primeval gods grieves and she knew that, if Elpis had not tried to interfere because she "fell in love" with the sin, then maybe the situation would have been different. Khaos was vastly powerful, far more powerful than any other gods combined. He had a vast knowledge of the universe and she knew that he would have found a way to get rid of the sins. Yet, in her eagerness to cease power, she had him killed and with him the secrets of the sins defeat were long gone too. It was frustrating, of course, but more than this, it made her feel afraid.

It had never happened before. the goddess of knowledge always kept a good control of herself and she made sure to compensate her lack of strength with knowledge. A knowledge so powerful that it would shield her from any harm. The Sins were still a question mark. She still didn't know how to defeat them. Her plans used to be well-tuned until the grain of salt the sins were came and disrupted everything. With her sister alive and soon to be released, Ayasha knew that her goal would be even harder to reach. But she was determined not to let Pride or his siblings, and even Elpis stop her from ruling supreme.

COPG: life and death of Ayasha: at the brink of war

COPG: life and death of Ayasha: at the brink of war

// Ayasha, my stubborn goddess. She really thinks she can do something against Elpis and Pride.

xxxx

Ayasha was nervously walking in circles, fingers of her right hand were massaging her forehead as she was trying to keep her composure. Truth be told, how could she keep her composure when she noticed that her sister was growing in power? Ayasha's spies informed her about Gaea's loss of control over Fauna and Flora and this, coupled with the silence of her mother, led Ayasha to believe that Elpis was becoming more and more powerful. She tried to discuss the matter with her mother but Gaea refused to hear her out. She didn't want to know the truth and it was starting to rile up Ayasha who needed her mother to be combative. Her blonde locks fell onto her shoulders as she put her hands on the table. She tilted her head to the side and stared at her mother who reluctantly agreed to visit her children. Her brown eyes stared down at her daughter and she crossed her arms above her chest.

"Why are you so nervous, Daughter?"

"How dare you ask, Mother? Why shouldn't I be nervous? You are losing control over nature! You are losing control to Elpis and you don't seem to care!"

"Tsssk..." She rolled her eyes and lifted her upper lip "Do you honestly think I should be worried about a daughter of mine? She is nothing to me, just one who pretends she can become the new All-Mother? Please, don't let me laugh. I made her! I made all of you!"

"Why are you so delusional, Mother?? What would it take for you to see the truth? Elpis is becoming powerful and she will become the new All-Mother whether you want it or not if you don't do shit!"

Gaea broke into a maniacal laughter. She couldn't help but enjoy the face her daughter made as fear was creeping into her heart. Ayasha had always pretended to be above weak emotions and to hold the true power, which was knowledge. She always prided herself in never panicking because she knew and she could plan in advance her next move. To see her lose her mind and shake in fear because of her sister was delightful to see for the goddess who couldn't help but laugh harder. Ayasha blushed and clenched her jaw at the sight of her mother laughing at her. That laughter was far more revealing than Ayasha first thought. Yes, Gaea was mocking her, but there was also fear laced with her laughter. She wasn't trying to convince Ayasha, no, she was trying to convince herself of her supremacy over Elpis. Why should she be afraid of her own daughter when she was the one who made her? Why should she? Why.... Was she? Ayasha dropped her head and started to chuckle. Quickly enough, the chuckle turned into a burst of laughter, and soon enough she was also manically laughing, louder and louder to the point of making the All-Mother stop.

"Why are you laughing?" -Ayasha didn't reply, instead, she simply laughed and held her sides- "Why... Why are you laughing like that?-

It started to make the former queen shiver and cross her arms above her chest. Ayasha was still laughing. It was so ridiculous. It was doomed to be repeated. Her mother was scared of Elpis and refused to acknowledge the loss of power that was happening to her. For some reason, Life was starting to pledge allegiance to the one they considered their rightful leader. Fauna and Flora, including humanity, were placing their desires and Hopes on her. Gaea was useless to her. She couldn't help them, she didn't have the knowledge, so why was Ayasha trying to seek her mother's help and advice? Ayasha laughed, a hearty laugh at that. She was better than Gaea now. She was better than her own mother and that knowledge made her happier. It made her feel more powerful. She only had to find a way to kill her mother, to find a way to kill her sister.

COPG: Paranoïa

// Gaea's conversation with her daughter

Ayasha felt the telepathic call of her mother, something that had never happened since Gaea exiled herself. Could it be that her mother had finally come to her senses? Could it be that she finally realized how powerful Elpis indeed was?  She decided to meet with her mother, on Earth among humans just so they would need to keep a low profile. Her human vessel wore a white skirt and jacket with a large white hat. Her heels clicked on the wooden floor of the museum they picked as their meeting location. Gaea was staring at a famous painting showing Cronos eating one of his sons.  She was wearing a long brown dress with black boots and had her hair styled in two braids. She didn't flinch when Ayasha finally stood next to her.

"Daughter."

"Mother. I didn't know you'd come." -She sneered. Her green eyes stared at the painting and she shrugged at the sight-

"I called you, of course, I'd come." -She snapped at her daughter, her brown eyes averting from the painting to her mother's face.-

"Forgive me, my tongue slipped. I meant to say that I didn't believe you'd call." -She grinned before she crossed her arms above her chest.- "I thought you wanted nothing to do with us. What made you change your mind?"

"Why do you care, Ayasha?" -

Gaea didn't want to tell her daughter that she was right. She didn't want to seem vulnerable and was extremely upset by the situation. The truth was, Ayasha saw right through her and her ego prevented the All-Mother from acknowledging it. She was vain, she was selfish. She was scared of her daughter and didn't try to kill her before because she didn't know how Elpis would react to the attempt. She saw what happened to the Sumerian pantheon and knew that her daughter destroyed gods while unaware of her true potential.

"I need to hear the truth from your mouth for once in your life, Mother."

"The truth?  Oh, I see, you want to humiliate me, Daughter." -She sneered at Ayasha who lifted a brow in a way to confirm her mother's suspicion.- "I spoke with Elpis a short while ago. She was testing her powers and I was not able to locate her." -Ayasha blinked and put her hand against her chest.- "Yes, she was everywhere and nowhere at the same time. I noticed her, so I called for her and she replied to me."

"What did she say?"

"She said that she was coming for us, all of us. She is planning to kill me and become the new All-Mother."

"Could she? could she beat you, Mother? Could she become the new All-Mother?"

Her green eyes set upon the brown orbs of her mother. If Gaea was seriously doubting her ability to defeat her daughter, then something "new" had happened. For months, the goddess had tried to locate her sister but was unable to do so. The growing fear of Ayasha made her shiver and she bit her bottom lip. Elpis defied their mother, she was confident enough to induce fear in the heart of the All-Mother. Despair couldn't invade their hearts, because if it did, then they would have already lost the war. The blonde goddess closed her eyes and moistened her lips. Gaea took a deep breath and ran her hand over her blonde locks.

"I lost control over the fauna, as soon as she talked to me, I couldn't control anything. She became far more powerful than I had anticipated and she is angry. She is extremely vengeful and she's coming for us."

"I see. what do you want, Mother? Protection? An alliance? Just ask and be clear this time."

"Protection, Daughter. I realized that alone I cannot stop Elpis. Alone, I am not enough. I seek asylum at the Prime Garden and when Elpis comes I would help you defeat her."

"What guarantees me that you would not try to betray us once you get the opportunity?" -Gaea shook her head and clutched her pearls.- "What guarantees me that you won't help Elpis destroy us instead?"

"Are you insane? She would not spare me, no matter what I do. So take me home, Ayasha."

Ayasha nodded and offered her arm to her mother so she could take it. She walked a couple steps away from the exhibition room so she could teleport them back into the Prime Garden. She didn't even gloat, which she could have done, because her mother finally spoke some truth, a truth. She knew that it would take some time before Elpis became strong enough to enact her revenge, but she still wanted to be ready before the final showdown. Gaea was willing to take shelter at the Pantheon but perhaps, with a little bit of convincing, she would end up going to war with them. Ayasha was counting on it.

Chronicles of the primeval gods: Life and Death of Ayasha: Builder

Chronicles of the primeval gods: Life and Death of Ayasha: Builder

// She's talking to me, so I'm letting her speak.

Ayasha fell to her knees. She was sweating profusely as the heat in the forge was intense. her blonde locks were stuck on her face and her back and big drops of sweat fell onto her fists. Her green eyes were glowing brightly as she was excited about the weapon she'd just built. It was a golden whip, infused with her essence, a weapon capable of killing another god. It took the Goddess of knowledge some time to come up with the right technic and the right spell to ensure her weapon would be able to defeat Sins and Gods alike and to ensure that only she could wield it. Upon seeing the perfection that her whip was, the goddess broke down into laughter that turned into sobs and tears. Could it be it? the solution she was so eager to find? Could it be it? The weapon she needed to kill her sister and unmake the sin? Her lips trembled and she ran her hand through her luscious blonde hair.  It was about time!

It was about time! Ayasha had nearly lost her mind since the death of Leviathan. It had been impossible for her to locate her sister and her plan to destroy the relationship between the sin and her sister failed. Besides, her relationship with Ishtar worsened to the point that she feared he might kill her in a fit of rage. She was faced with something new, Ayasha didn't know what to do and it was the first time she had ever felt like this. Her first reaction had been to lock herself up in her room, for fear of receiving the visit of a black butterfly. It didn't come and the goddess of knowledge was forced to regain her composure. She still had a possibility to win the war against her sister. Ayasha couldn't accept that she had Hope in her heart. She couldn't accept that even then and there,  her sister still had some influence over her. Ayasha's tears fell on the hot floor of the forge and she wiped them with the back of her hand.

There was a lot left to do. A whip would not be enough to face the threat that her sister and her beloved, both were. She would need to have armor, something solid and strong to contain the rage of her assailants. She would need something powerful enough to destroy her enemies. Spells, perhaps, to bind the goddess to her will. Ayasha was hopeful. It wasn't her end. She wasn't going to die. There was a chance that she could turn the tides in her favor. Gaea refused to join them, despite her best efforts, but that wouldn't deter Ayasha from trying to force the All-Mother to join their sides. She would find the solution to her issue. She always came up with solutions after the wall. Her dream of ruling over the universe wasn't going to disappear, not when she was so close to her goal.  The golden-haired goddess found comfort in knowledge. Hope dried her tears and made her look forward. There was no other choice but to move on.

COPG: Life and death of Ayasha: Knowledge is power

COPG: Life and death of Ayasha:  Knowledge is power

// She's tired of being afraid. I suspect she's going to put on some false bravado.

xxxx

Ayasha decided that she had spent way too much time in the confines of her chambers. What good would it do to her to hide? What good would it do to her to wait until it was too late? SHe couldn't just stay in her bed, hands clutching the silk sheets under her. She refused to wait until Death took hold of her. Black Butterflies have not visited her since leviathan's death and she took it as a good sign. It wasn't her turn to die. Her plans have failed, but she would always come up with something. After all, wasn't she the goddess of knowledge? Wasn't she able to find the answers to her questions if she looked for it? She couldn't spend her day whithering in her bedroom, because Elpis would not rest until they were all dead. It was a fact, the only true power they had, was Ishtar's. He was the New All-Father and he was the only one left with power. Gaea had refused to join them, and without her, there was a possibility that they would die on the battlefield. Ayasha was not ready to die, as a matter of fact, she refused to die. She was supposed to know things, to find a way out of problems, and she would.

She was snapped out of her funk when her brother visited her a while ago. He informed her that he felt a shift in the air. He didn't know what was happening, but he could tell that their mother had less power than before. She was losing power and he suspected that perhaps, what Gaea lost, Elpis gained. It was that theory that pushed Ayasha out of her depression and back into action. If Elpis was becoming stronger then perhaps, the opposite was true. She was an elder goddess, just like them and with the proper weapon she could be defeated. With the proper weapon she could defeat the pink haired goddess. With proper weapon she could kill Elpis for good. Ayasha decided that she would shower, wash her hair, wear her best clothes and do what she did best: research.. War was inevitable, and since she couldn't avoid it, then she would make sure to have the weapons needed to kill Elpis and protect herself. Knowledge was power and since she was the goddess of Knowledge, she had power.

COPG: Life and death of Ayasha: Spiraling

// Ayasha is afraid and no amount of knowledge is going to save her from what's about to happen.

xxxx

Ayasha was curled up in her bed, her hair was disheveled and tangled. She had not been out of her bedroom for weeks as she refused to step out until she had found a solution to the "Elpis problem" that had arisen. She was scared of being visited by another black butterfly that would announce the upcoming death of someone close to her -or her-. A black butterfly was the worst news she could receive. It was a message from Fate, something that could not be changed no matter what they did. She received one, a while before Leviathan's death and was afraid to get another.  Besides, she knew from her brother that Gaea would not join them in their fight against Elpis. Why did she do something like this? Why did she take such a stupid decision? Elpis was getting stronger and she was so powerful that there was no doubt that she would outmatch Ayasha. When it came to raw power, it was a no-brainer, Elpis was far more powerful than any of her siblings. If she was correct and if Elpis had discovered her untapped power, then it only was a matter of time before she reached her true potential.

What was left for her then? Threatening the life of Elpis' former vessel didn't work, she had no idea of the extent of Elpis' true abilities and she didn't know if Gaea would be the first to be attacked or if her sister would first come to the Primordial Garden.  Oh, how the tables have turned! Ayasha realized that her plan wasn't fool-proofed and that she didn't take into consideration the numerous hiccups that could make her plan obsolete. She didn't take into consideration that the Sin could actually grow feelings, even less for her sister. She didn't take into consideration that Elpis would find out the truth about her powers and the reasons her family raised her as being an obedient creature. They were afraid of how the world could turn if Elpis became her true self. They didn't want to be replaced by her, nor did they want her to wage wars, and take the path she was taking now. Ayasha knew her sister had ambitions. She knew her sister would manage to make them happen, after all, she managed to be with Pride. She managed to make him feel something those weapons weren't supposed to be feeling. She managed to accomplish the impossible.

So what now? Her armor and god-killing weapon were being forged as she was spiraling in her bedroom. She would be ready for the next attack, but for the first time in a long while, Ayasha didn't know how things could unfold. She didn't know what the outcome of the all-out war would be. Would they be victorious or would they lose? She didn't know. Would Ishtar even go through with his desire to eliminate Elpis or would he fall prey to his deep-rooted love for his sister? Ayasha wasn't sure. They both were haunted by their guilt, by the regrets they had about what they did, and by the ghosts of those they wished to eliminate. Elpis taunted Ayasha, exposing her heart and the failure of her plans to the goddess who blamed herself for her shortcomings. All of this could have been avoided if she was the one who stabbed Elpis. She would have killed her sister a long time ago and the only war to be had, would have been the one against the Sins.  But she trusted her brother. She trusted her manipulative power, she trusted her plan and it backfired on her.

Why wouldn't it do the same thing here? in the present? in this war against her sister? There was an unsettling feeling that overcame the goddess and nearly defeated her before the war even began. There was that feeling that got her bones cold, that made her stomach churn, that made her sweat at night, in fear of receiving the visit of a black butterfly or eventually the hallucinations of her sister Elpis who would taunt her at night. She was pale, paler than she used to be and she refused to let anyone see her in that state of mind. The truth was... oh the truth was that Ayasha was terrified of the War. She was scared of her sister and she was afraid to die. She didn't want to disappear into the void and the simple thought of becoming nothing made her sick. Ishtar was still on Earth, simply informing Ayasha that their mother declined their extended hand and that they should prepare in case Elpis killed Gaea and took her power.  Ishtar was still away and nothing could soothe the goddess of knowledge.. nothing... no one...

Chronicles of the primeval gods: Life and Death of Ayasha: Waiting

Chronicles of the primeval gods: Life and Death of Ayasha: Waiting

// She was speaking to me.

Ayasha walked closer to her brother. He seemed at peace, sleeping as if there was no trouble in the world. His perfect form was laying on the bed, with a thin sheet thrown nonchalantly on his lap. She let her green eyes roam over his frame, up to his face, and calmly smiled at him. Their relationship got better over the weeks and she could claim that things got even better than what they used to be. He surprisingly took better than she expected the truth that motivated her actions. He was aware of her devouring ambition, and her desire to become the ultimate ruler. He was aware of her hatred for Elpis, and more importantly her fear of her. He listened to the blonde goddess because he could see that she wasn’t fully wrong. Their family had been a mess from the very beginning. Siblings who didn’t get along well with each other, siblings who were favored by their parents, siblings who wanted the throne for themselves. When Elpis was born, that was the last straw that broke the camel’s back. Gaea, the All-Mother, only gave her attention to her love-child and they all decided that they would protect her « purity ».  It took a while for Ayasha to discover the truth behind the apparent « love » her parents had for their last child.

It wasn’t love. It was fear. It was fear of the uncanny power that child had. The birth had been kept a secret, so they couldn’t see what was being done to the child. Gaea and her husband Khaos, worked together to lock the potential of the child, hoping that it will keep her away from having too much power and overthrow them. Ayasha discovered the truth one day, by hearing their parents discuss the matter after Elpis went to destroy the Sumerian Pantheon, much to the surprise of everyone. Khaos feared that their spell couldn’t contain their daughter’s powers and that she would eventually truly become herself. He wanted to find a way to deal with the issue, a way that didn’t involve killing his beloved daughter but Gaea determined that they shouldn’t be scared of such an insignificant event. She wanted to protect her father’s reputation, which was a sign that their grooming and upbringing worked. Shocked by the knowledge, the Goddess decided to use it to her advantage. Her mother was a coward and a liar. She didn’t love Elpis nor did she love her children. She loved her husband and feared her last born. And if there was fear, then there was a weakness.

Ayasha let the fingers of her left hand run over her blonde locks. Her face was somber, closed off as she was thinking of the upcoming war. Ishtar realized that his rebellion against their father was the only way to free their family from the control of their parents. It was a natural way to overcome one’s father and become the father instead. A natural order, the fulfillment of his prophecy. Ishtar understood that they lived a false life, filled with lies and deceit. He understood the thirst for acknowledgment from his little sister and her desire for knowledge and truth. He understood that Elpis had to be killed. She was far too dangerous to be left alive. Far too dangerous to allow them to expand their domination across the universe. She had a devouring ambition, and a dark side none of them really knew. Ayasha was cautious and worried. She wanted to be prepared as much as she could but knew that there was a lot she couldn’t have access to. Her best shot would be to hold Asma hostage and kill her in public, causing distraught to both Elpis and Pride and separating the two of them. She chewed at her bottom lip and pinched the bridge of her nose. Not everything was lost and they still could have the upper hand if they knew how to navigate between what they knew and what they could speculate about. It was only a matter of time. And perhaps, for once, Time would be on her side.

COPG : Life and Death of Ayasha : In Vain

COPG : Life and Death of Ayasha: In Vain

A/N : Of course, Ayasha is absolutely devastated by everything that has been happening. She doesn't really know what's going to happen soon. She had drawn her cards and yet nothing positive is happening. So she's been closely watching the human vessel of her sister. Well, a former human vessel.

Xxxxx

Ayasha was looking at the fountain, in hopes that maybe her sister and the Sin would have made a mistake, but it seemed that they were not likely to make mistakes. Why would they when the Sin's magic could shield them perfectly? Ayasha was growing desperate, mostly because she no longer had the controls he hoped to have on Ishtar who forced her to reveal her secrets to him. Yes, she was power-hungry. Yes! She wanted to get rid of the rest of the pantheon so she would have been the only one and yes! She manipulated him into killing their father and replacing him and cursing Elpis since he couldn't murder her. Since she had admitted to the truth, Ishtar had been distant, as if he didn't want to talk to her but she knew he was plotting, probably plotting against her. This made the goddess writhe in anguish and anger as she was now cornered. Think, Ayasha, Think.

Her eyes averted from the fountain to the beautiful landscape. After all this war, the one good thing that didn't change was the landscape. As soon as Ishtar and Ayasha established their supremacy, the other gods followed and they restored the once destroyed palace and garden. This used to bring her peace, back when Khaos was alive and Gaea pretended to care for her progeny. The reality wasn't as good as the lies fed to them by their parents. Ayasha wanted to kill her mother, but she knew she didn't have the amount of power necessary to do such a thing. She also knew that her sibling didn't control the full power of the All-Father so both of them would never be able to destroy Gaea. But could Elpis? Ayasha did study the places destroyed in the wake of her sister and her lover. She noticed the insane amount of energy used to create chaos, pure chaos. She could feel her sister's power and noticed that it actually was far stronger than 2000 years ago. Perhaps, with the rage that was boiling inside her, would Elpis take over their mother and become the new-All-Mother. However, if she did, it would come with a cost, and once she wasn't willing to pay.

She furrowed her brows and bit her thumb. Where was she now? Her brother tolerated her presence, he even allowed her back in his bedroom so they could fuck but she no longer had control over him... yet. Ayasha was cunning and she had a silver tongue, she would make sure to find a way to get into her brother's mind again but it would require some time and some more skills. Elpis was still hard to detect, if not undetectable. So what was left of her? She anticipated Elpis' desire to grow stronger, so they were inevitably on Earth, but Gaea still refused to make a move towards her daughter, in fear of awakening her true power too soon and lose her for good. Elpis was growing stronger and Ayasha was cowering in a corner which she hated. They had lost the dagger of fate but would forge god-killing weapons. Sure, they wouldn't know how to destroy a sin -not yet-, but Ayasha was actively looking for parchments or whatever piece of information she could get from the Greek pantheon. Maybe if she found Hades or Hades' hide-out, she would be able to know how the sins were made and what it could take to unmake them. She had to be careful because not everyone was an ally among the remaining of the Greek pantheon, but she was hoping to talk her way out of the issues.

But if nothing worked? If there was nothing left for her but to wait for a potential death? Ayasha loved life way too much to sacrifice herself. She still had the vessel, Asma Jensen, who was roaming free and who befriended the goddess without knowing she was one. She still wanted to cause mayhem between the sin and her sister and what better than to threaten -or kill- the human who started it all? Ayasha felt that she still had a solution, no matter the issue presenting itself to her. She was already looking for a way to unmake Pride, leave his energy without a body so he wouldn't be able to interfere with them. She was forging a weapon capable of taking out her enraged sister and she was at the same time willing and on top of it all, she was working her way back into her brother's heart. Perhaps she miscalculated and he would prove to be a good ally, a partner, an emperor for her empress. She wanted to believe that with truth, their relationship could blossom for the better but she wasn't sure. There was a lot at risk and not a lot of answers, which never had a good look. So yes, the blonde goddess was staring at the fountain of Truth, looking for anything, anything that could help her out of her situation. In vain. For now.

COPG : TIME

COPG : TIME

A/N : Ayasha and Ishtar have yet another conversation. They both feel that they are lacking time. The urgency has pushed them to their worst behaviour and yet in the midst of everything, siblings are trying to find common ground.

Xxxx

Ishtar felt the salty wind blow on his face, making his black locks whip it hard. He stood stoically before the wild ocean, witnessing its anger, and taking its waves in full force, perhaps, to feel his departed brother’s “presence” in what was left behind. Leviathan was dead, there was no denying it. His own hubris led him to his death by the hands of the Sin. Yes, Ishtar took this death worse than he wanted to. He hated his brother, but he did not wish him dead by the hands of someone else, especially not by the hands of his enemies.  The ocean was angry, and so was the sky that had covered itself with grey clouds, charged with rain that had not fallen just yet.

The god outstretched his arms from each side of his body, eyes closed as he was picturing his brother standing before him. The meatsuit he was wearing, was wearing a nice black suit that enhanced the otherworldly beauty of the god. He did not mind being soaked with water, for he knew that with a flick of his wrist, the fabric would be dried out. Instead, he only focused on Leviathan, who was standing in silence before him, looking sternly at him, as if he were already pointing fingers at him. What would he have said anyway if he had been alive? He had warned Ishtar about their sister and her devouring ambition. He had forced the god to face his emotions regarding Elpis, his desire for his sister and the jealousy and heartbreak that allowed for him to curse her.

Leviathan would have been angry at what Ishtar did with his pieces of advice. He didn’t listen to him, if anything, he did the opposite. How could he have reacted anyway, when most of the pantheon was gone? The action of two, brought the pantheon to the brink of extinction and it was too late to change things. The most Ishtar could hope for, was to have their mother, Gaea, forgive their action and have her come home. How could the Pantheon thrive without their All-Mother inside?  The New All-Father was hoping that his sister Elpis would be defeated -there was no reasoning with her and he understood it now- and he would be able to restore the pantheon to its former glory.  Yet, he could still feel the judgemental gaze of his departed brother on his frame and an anguish that was holding onto his heart. He snarled as he felt the gaze of his sister Ayasha. He sighed and turned around so he could face her.

Ayasha was indeed joining him, unfazed by the brutal ocean and the huge waves that were crashing down against the shore. Instead, she had both hands on her waist, her green orbs were darting at him. He lifted a brow, surprised that his sister didn’t even try to hide her anger at this point. He tilted his head to the side, his long black wet locks fell on his shoulders and he snarled at her. She wouldn’t come to him and have demands when he had demands on his own. They had just barely started to reconcile, why would she come and ruin their efforts?

“I have been looking for you. I should have guessed you would have spent your time here, close to our dead brother rather than with me.”

“Ayasha, your quips won’t get to me this time. Say what you want to say and let’s go from there.”

“Luckily for you, brother, I am not looking for a fight. We are running out of time.” -She admitted, her eyes averted from his face to the floor. - “I still can’t find Elpis, but I can feel that she is becoming stronger by the minute.”

“What makes you think so?” -He asked, furrowing his brows, and crossing his arms above his chest. -

“My minions noticed an unusual activity on Earth. I have investigated myself and could feel the sin’s energy signature and our sister’s. Elpis was there, on Earth and together they caused chaos...”

“Chaos you say?”

“Yes… I choked when I stepped into the place. I could feel their power  suffocating me out there.” -She paused for a minute and then looked back at Ishtar, her green orbs lighting up- “Why—why are you here?”

“I thought you had it figure out.” -He teased her, walking towards her so he could close the distance between the two of them.- “I needed a moment for myself.”

“In front of the ocean?” -She curbed a brow.-

“It’s the only place that seems to be in tune with me. The ocean is wild, free, and nobody can possess it.”

“Leviathan could.” -She walked towards him and closed the distance between the two of them. “But he is dead now." -He noted the lack of emotions in the voice of the goddess. it was no scret that she didn't like Leviathan and given how he didn't trust her, Ishtar understood why. She resumed talking. " I know he didn’t trust me, he never could but you are not like him, Brother. You are not him. I need to know if you do trust me Ishtar.”

"I understand, sister-mine." He said as he put both hands on her shoulders. she shuddered and rolled her head to the side. She was upset, as clear as day and she needed answer. she moistened her lips and then looked up to his face again. "You are cornered, we all are. I had issues with you, a lack of clarity as well. I saw through you. Leviathan might have been an asshole, he wasn't going around with baseless claims. You manipulated me. I understand Ayasha, but I'd like the truth for once. Why did you manipulate me into killing our father? into cursing Elpis?"

She didn't know what to make of his behaviour, he was serious and she could feel the power of his engulfing her. Maybe he had been waiting for her to come here and maybe he'd casted a spell without her knowledge. She started to panic at first, her eyes glowed even harder and her breathing became more laboured.

"We deserved better than what we had. With everything you were, you would have still been looked upon with disdain and I wasn't even considered. I wanted glory  I wanted to prove the whole universe that I was powerful and so were you."

"That doesn't sound like you, to think of me. I asked for the truth, Ayasha. I need the truth to move forward from now." -He manifested his  scepter, which made the goddess shiver and run her hand over  his chest. She was feeling danger, and realized that he was willing and ready to get rid of her if he didn't get the answer he wanted. what happened to him?-

"I--- I wanted all. I was willing to sacrifice anything and everything to achieve my goal. I wanted all.... I want the whole world, I want the universe and I want the universe to respect me." She furrowed her brows and lowered her head. "Khaos was limited, outdated. He would have prevented us.../me/ from getting what I really wanted. So yes, I did it because I wanted to get rid of anyone who would have dared to stand in my way." She paused and then swallowed a lump. "I chose you because you were just like me, you would not have been hard to convince. I knew of your feelings for our sister and used it to gain your trust, rile you up because you would see the truth." -She sighed and bumped her fist against his chest.- "I used you. I admit. I was vindictive and angry at the universe. I grew closer to you and some of the feelings I have are true. But Since you want to know the truth, I am not in love with you, I am not afraid of you... I think you can crush our enemies and we can be victorious."

"Finally, some truth from your lips. I was nothing but a pawn for you. Leviathan saw your devouring ambition and it took me a while to come to terms with the fact you don't love me."

"Are you mad?" -She inquired, her eyes looked up tohis face and she  swallowed a hard lump.-

"Not anymore. I can work with the truth. You asked me if I could trust you." -She nodded- "Now, I do. I hear you, we will need to ready our troops and prepare for our sister. Since we can't find her, I assume she would come to us, and we will meet her."

"Do you believe we can defeat her?" Ayasha asked, her voice breaking and betraying her fear. Ishtar was calm, calmer than ever and he hit the trident against the floor sending shockwaves after shockwaves "Nevermind..."

What else could she say, when her brother had demonstrated his power. He was ready to face his opponents and she was unable to see what he was really thinking of. perhaps the god of war and the New All-Father was thinking of punishing her after all was said and done. it was a gambit, to have told him the whole truth, but the blonde goddess knew that she had no other choice but to make this decision. Only time would tell what would happen next... and time was short on their hands.

Chronicles of the Primeval gods: THE CHESS GAME PART III (recap)

Chronicles of the Primeval gods: THE CHESS GAME PART III (recap)

A/N : I wrote the last recap in 2019, now it's time to explain what happened since then.

Xxxxxx

What was going on? Ayasha realized she had lost control over Ishtar since Leviathan's death. Of course, the late god of the oceans planted the seed of rebellion in the mind of her brother, making it more and more difficult for her to manipulate him. Ishtar was what he was, difficult, violent, impulsive but he wasn't stupid. Once the light was shone upon the situation he was in, the truth started to prevail. He became distant with Ayasha, more commanding with her. He left her no window to manœuvre and manipulate him, which became frustrating.

Her loss of control induced a level of fear and anxiety unknown to the goddess. No matter what, she couldn't shake her fear off of her mind. Elpis was alive and well, and she still couldn't locate her. She still couldn't find her due to the sin's ancient spell, which only fueled Ishtar's anger and Ayasha's fear. They could strike at any moment now. Of course, the New All-Father rang the bells of war and was now preparing the remaining gods for the upcoming battle against Superbia and Elpis. Ayasha was still searching for a weapon or an artifact capable of unmaking Pride and had requested her brother to forge her a god-killing weapon so she could be even with Elpis.

Ishtar, while determined to destroy his sister and the sin once and for all, was having second thoughts. As usual, he was tormented by his guilt and the twisted love he felt for his sister. He had tried to seek his mother's support but she rejected him, still resentful for the death of the All-Father Khaos. The god of war knew that his hesitation to kill Elpis might come back during the last battle and was now trying to overcome his feelings for her. After all, she did betray the primeval gods by giving herself to a Sin. She betrayed her family, she betrayed him. He should have killed her 2000 years ago but he swore to fix his mistake, no matter how torn his heart would be afterward.

Ayasha, however, wasn't truly convinced that her brother would succeed in killing Elpis. She decided to foment a plan B, just in case the first battle wouldn't work. Still being blinded by the Sin, she wasn't able to see the truth of his relationship with Elpis but could speculate that they were getting along right now. However, should a third element be introduced to the pair, the probability of chaos was higher than usual because Elpis was known to be very jealous? Asma became obvious to the primeval goddess. Asma was the last host, the only host to have met Pride, and to have elicited emotions from him. She didn't die and was still very much roaming the Earth, so that meant Pride had a soft spot for the human.

The goddess of knowledge befriended the human in the following months. She decided to play it slow, make sure that Asma was visible enough for them to hear the news of her life in danger. She wanted to kill the doppelganger, or eventually put her in such a dire situation that the Sin would come to her rescue. Elpis would not accept to share her sin with someone else, regardless of what they did to help her and they would argue and destroy each other, or perhaps the sin would kill Elpis and Ayasha, who would have been ready to unmake him, would simply have to unmake Pride. The victory was ensured...Still.. this plan was flawed and there were far too many dead angles that Ayasha decided it would be safer to see their mother.

So Gaea was visited once again by the blonde goddess of knowledge. They clashed, as much verbally as their powers started to leak and influence the mortal realm. Yet, for the first time in eons, Ayasha finally pierced through the thick armor of her mother. As she exposed Gaea's true nature, the All-mother dismissed her, unable to accept that she wasn't as pure as she wanted to present herself. Gaea was scared of Elpis, she always had been. From her birth to this day, the All-mother knew her daughter had a terrifying power within her. She was, after all, the product of true love between Chaos and Gaea. A child who was  capable of both creation and destruction on a universal level. The other siblings were tasked with a singular mission. They were to contain her in a bubble, they were to manipulate her into submission and ensure she wouldn't tap into her true power. Of course, most didn't realize it was the mission but Ayasha figured it out rather quickly.

Gaea was scared because she kept having visions of her daughter taking her crown, unlocking her true potential, and punishing her for allowing Ishtar to stab her. Since the All-mother was plagued with nightmares, she was now considering cutting the « neutral act » and actively working against her daughter. Yet again, it wasn't certain. All that was, was that Elpis was now stronger by the minute, recovering from the energy depletion caused by the curse and discovering her new powers with Superbia. They were enjoying each other's presence while walking the Earth but Elpis was becoming more and more impatient with her revenge and more and more ambitious as well. Why stop at Earth when they could rule the universe? She requested Pride with forging her a god-killing weapon so she could be a worthy ally and partner when they launch the assault on the Primeval gods' pantheon.

COPG: Life and death of Ayasha and Gaea: Clash on the big bridge.

xxxxx

Somewhere in the Philippines, at a random orphanage.

Ayasha arrived, dressed in an expensive white dress, a pair of sunglasses and her hair glamoured to make it look like a 50's best haircut. It didn't suit the decor well, much to Gaea's annoyance who rolled her eyes as her daughter finally made herself known to her mother.  Ayasha was persistent, she was convinced that with the right conversation she could make her mother join them in their efforts to destroy Elpis. It became really obvious that despite her claims, Gaea was afraid of Elpis and hid on Earth just so her daughter couldn't find her. Ayasha could feel it since she was also afraid of her sibling. The All-mother glanced at her daughter and walked further into the orphanage with the toddler she was holding in her arms.

"Mother, why are you rotting away here?"

"And yet you're here." Gaea simply snapped back, swaying the infant so it could slowly drift into sleep.  "Why are you here, Ayasha? weren't our last conversations explicit enough?"

"They were... but an opinion isn't cast in stone, it can change." She pointed out, walking into the room and crossing her arms above her chest. "Mother, you can't refuse to talk to your daughter any longer."

"What if I want to? Do you want to test my patience, Ayasha?" She curbed a brow, but Ayasha removed her glasses to stare at her mother with her emerald eyes.  "Say what you have to say and leave. I have no interest in talking to you."

"Oh, yes you do. I have gathered intel from the last couple weeks and it appears that Elpis is getting stronger. She's testing her limits as we speak, still in the company of that abomination created by Hades and she's getting stronger. I felt her, too briefly to locate her, but enough to feel the immense power she's using. they're getting close."

"She won't harm me, why should I concern myself with your petty fears?" -Yet, her ton faltered-.

Gaea did feel Elpis' power surge, once. it was faint but it was terrifying because she could feel Elpis' determination to destroy her enemies. Gaea understood her anger, After all,  Ayasha and Ishtar betrayed her, cursed her, and killed her father and her siblings. they were a source of great grief for the goddess who now wanted nothing more but to destroy all of them. While it was unclear whether or not Elpis wanted to go after Gaea, it was still a possibility for the pink haired goddess to come after her mother.  Gaea clenched her fingers onto the toddler's back and looked at her daughter's green eyes. She felt it, the stronger connection to life Elpis had ever since she was released from her curse. A power similar to Gaea's but potentially even greater since the child was the lovechild between Khaos and Gaea. If Elpis realized her true potential, it could possibly become the end of the All-Mother which made her swallow a hard lump.  Ayasha's smile grew larger as she now caught a glimpse of fear in her mother's eyes and she quietly sat on the chair in front of her mother and that mortal child.

"Now that I have your full attention, I am going to lay down my plan. You will listen carefully to all I'm going to say and until I'm done, you won't interrupt me. Are we clear, Mother?"

"..." Gaea nodded and cradled the human child some more.

"Good. Finally!" -The blond crossed her legs and leaned forward so her mother could have a better look at her. Seeing Gaea like this sent a shiver down the spine of her daughter who did her best not to gloat too early. she would wait a little bit, at least until she was done explaining her plan to her mother, before she could openly mock her.- "We certainly cannot let Elpis gain enough strength to level our entire pantheon. I still cannot locate her, but you are the All-mother, the original one. with you I think we would be able to find her and squash her for good.  I already have a plan in motion which is the following. I found her former vessel. Asma Jensen, the human doppelganger. I found her and befriended her. There would be an exhibition very soon in town. I have already made myself known to Elpis by appearing on TV. So she knows her precious former host is in danger;" She marked a pause and  ran her hand over the artificial curls of her hairstyle.

"...."

Gaea didn't say anything. she was listening to her daughter, thinking of how a plan like this was lacking vision. She didn't take into consideration the power of emotions. She didn't trust the plan, knowing that potentially, it could lead to a true awakening of her daughter. Asma was cherished, it was obvious. If she had not been she would have been killed during the ritual. Both the Sin and her daughter cared for her, so threatening Asma might not be the brightest idea Ayasha had. She realized that eventually, her daughter was cornered and panic had settled in more than she let on. It had the All-mother frown but waited until Ayasha was done talking.

"I want to cause a rift between my sister and the Sin. He spared this human's life, so I guess she bonded with him like no other could, not even Elpis. I want them to fight each other and destroy one another. Bonus point if I get to kill Asma too." -She said with a tight grin-

"And when do you exactly need my help? if you have this plan already, then I should be useless to you, shouldn't I?" She curbed a brow and  swayed the infant who was moaning in its sleep, as if it was having a nightmare.-

"Mother..... This is plan B. This is what I have thought of in case you didn't help me but we could do better than this. If you help me locate my sister, I could attack when they least expect it." She smiled brightly. "You are the all-mother, you have tremendous power, Mother. with you, we could even destroy the Sin."

"I don't think so. Hades truly designed the sins to be impossible to destroy. they are an essence, a concept. they will forever exist as long as life does. Do you honestly believe that Pride, of all the seven sins, would not exist within you? or me?"

"Wh.." Ayasha swallowed a lump and lost her composure. she blinked several times as she had not thought about it. She was certain that using a weapon similar to the one Pride used against Leviathan or his siblings could be a solution. "No, you're wrong! we can destroy him! He was able to kill Leviathan and steal his power. He was able to kill his siblings and steal their powers. he...I haven't had a better look at his weapon or how they work but I'm pretty sure that once I figure this out, I would be able to take him down. Maybe he can't be killed in the biblical sense of the word, but he can be contained and imprisoned. I will... I will look into this." She bit her bottom lip. "How little faith you have in me, Mother, to think that I haven't foreseen this issue. I am the goddess of knowledge!"

"And yet, you still know nothing!" -Gaea snapped at her.- "How dare you come to me, lecture me, suggest to me that I kill my beloved daughter? How dare you after you got my husband killed? After you orchestrated everything with Ishtar just so he could take the crown and steal his father's powers. How /dare/ you come to me with a smile on your lips, that out-of-place look and this fake smile and even HOPE to convince me to work with you?"

Thunder and lightning rumbled above their heads. Gaea's eyes turned white as she summoned the elements. Ayasha recoiled on her seat, shocked to see the reaction of her mother and a glimpse at her anger. the elements were slowly starting to manifest around them, inducing panic in the hearts of the orphans but also the adult humans who were around. the animals were screaming and tried to take cover from the weather that was going out of control. Ayasha tucked some hair behind her ear and flashed a bright green light at her mother as  her divine aura slowly engulfed her. Gaea teleported the child to his bed and stood up slowly, towering her daughter who was still sitting on her chair. she wouldn't dare grow to her actual size, a size way too big for humans to even conceive and in this modern times, who would even have the capacity to understand what was going on? or to suffer a divine apparition? Nobody.

"How BOLD of you Mother! How bold of you to get angry at me for doing what you both taught us to do!" She stood up slowly too, facing her mother with her blond locks whipped because of the wind. She stood tall and  looked at her.

"You killed my  HUSBAND! You killed your father!!  I will never forgive you! I willl NEVER work with you!"

"Yes you will!!! It's not going to be out of love!  It's going to be for survival!" This ticked a box in Gaea's mind, who tilted her head to the side and narrowed her gaze. "Ah!  Mother, we have always known that your only true love was Father. You desired Elpis but I've always known that if you could ditch her, you would and you just did."

"Enough!"

"No! When you realized we were going to betray her, you let it happen! You even let it happen with  Dad!"

"ENOUGH!"

"I am the goddess of Knowledge! don't you think I'd know the truth someday? You hide here among humans, pretending to be a saint and caring for them when all you want is to be worshipped by them. you want to become stronger, you cower here in fear that Elpis finds you! You know she will find you and once she does, she will KILL you! so Stop being stubborn and join us, Mother. let us protect you."

"Do you honestly think I would trust a word you say? You are a sniveling bitch Ayasha! I know you're trying to manipulate me like you manipulated your brother. GET OUT!"

Ayasha started to chuckle, mostly because she knew she hit right. The fear she could read on her mother's face was enough to convince her she was on the right path. Yes, Gaea was pretending, as always. She'd always been lying to everyone, including her own kin about her true nature. Even today, as finally Ayasha was able to spit the truth to her face, Gaea pretended. she could never admit to being a fraud and to be selfish. she could never admit that all she ever wanted was to be worshipped by her children and her creations and now that she lost the power she had on her sons and daughters, she relied on Earth to maintain that power. Elpis was threatening this, especially now that her true nature had awakened and Gaea was afraid to lose everything. Gaea knew that staying on Earth and being so easy to find would ultimately lead her to a fight with her daughter, but she was confident she could stand her ground and was strong enough to vanquish her daughter. Yet, doubt crept in her heart and Ayasha could see it on her mother's face. it was only a matter of time.

"GET OUT!" -screamed Gaea, the winds now hurling into the room and threatening the roofs. Ayasha lifted a brow and put her sunglasses back onto her face.

"You will come around. whether you like it or not. Trust me on that, /mom/."

And just as fast as she came into the scene, she vanished. It took a while for Gaea to calm down. As soon as her daughter left the orphanage, she took a deep breath and sat back on the chair. her chest heaved up and down at a fast pace and she dropped a couple tears. Ayasha was right about something, she was scared of Elpis. She was worried that nothing could make her stop her rampage of violence and wished she would be able to reason with her. The truth was, that Elpis was beyond reasoning with. She would never listen to Gaea, not after the All-Mother abandoned her to her fate. She would never listen to her, not after she let her husband be killed. It scared the All-Mother because she felt that power and knew that it only was a matter of time before ELpis found her, yet, she still believed she could buy herself some time. After all, Elpis' first target would be her siblings and since Ayasha was the goddess of KNowledge and had a plan, maybe she would be brilliant enough to kill Elpis. Gaea wiped her tears off of her face and took calmer bigger breaths. Everything would be alright. it had to be.
