Faery profile: Ada/ Judith le Fay

Faery declassified

A/N: All usual disclaimers. profile in progress

I will tweak it as I go by.

XXXX XXXX

Main Faceclaim: TBD

Other FC: TBD

"I don't care if I don't have friends. I'll be the greatest fairy they'll ever see and I will be better than any of them, any of them! "

Real Name: Judith Le Fay

Alias: Ada

Age: 20 years old.

Nationality:

  • Born: British

Height: 165 cm

Weight: 65 kg

Special features: She has black hair.

Physical appearance:

Ada is your average-sized chubby woman. Her skin is flawless due to magic, but if she didn't have powers, it would have been marred with scars because she keeps on getting in trouble and hurting herself by exploring the forest she lives in. Unlike the other fairies, she doesn't have wings and was told she was born with a disability.  She's extremely self-conscious about the lack of wings but overcompensates with her need to overachieve and aggressivity. Her hair is black and teases the small of her back and her eyes are grey. She also has a white star on her inner arm.

Note: Ada doesn't know her true lineage. She believes that she is a faery. Morgan wants her daughter because she needs her soul to perform a lethal spell, powerful enough to kill Merlin.

Sexual orientation: Bisexual

Alignment: chaotically neutral.

Specie: Human Enchantress but believes she is a fairy

Occupation: Adventurer

Abilities:

  • Peak Human Condition:  Ada has peak human physicality. She is very athletic, and her strength, durability, speed, agility, stamina, reflexes, and threshold for pain are in top condition. She owes it to her intense training and her outdoor explorations.

  • Peak Human Agility: Ada is also extraordinarily agile in her movements, being able to perform and incorporate various jumps and rolls in her fighting style with ease.

Skills:

  • Mastery of the Dark Arts: Ada, has learned how to use Black Magic on her own. Given her lineage, it is a skill she almost instinctively got upon her birth.
  • Mastery of Faery Magic: She also learned how to control Faery magic, since she was raised as one. She has a deep understanding of magic and is highly connected to it.
  • Gifted Intellect: Ada was shown to be a very intelligent individual who could outsmart her enemies even under extreme stress and can easily think her way out of dangerous situations.
  • Skilled Equestrian: Ada is able to easily mount and ride a horse through the city to evade enemies.
  • Skilled Physician: Ada appears to have some knowledge of human anatomy and physiology, as well as basic medicine and first aid.
  • Multilingualism: Ada is fluent in several languages.  including the old tongue, the common tongue, and the old English. She has also mastered Universal Sign Language, as well as all the spoken languages on Earth.

Weaknesses/Crippling fears:

  • Anger: Ada's anger can sometimes blind her. She doesn't know what to feel aside from pure rage for her childhood and the constant belittlement from her fellow faeries. Her anger comes from her low self-esteem and the perception that everyone is making fun of her because of her disability.

  • Mortality: Although Ada is an incredible Magic user, she still is mortal and is still susceptible to dying via injuries, illness, or very old age.

  • Gullible: Ada is very naive. She trusts people and can be easily manipulated by someone who can catch her low self-esteem.  Her naivety caused her so many troubles in her past that she had to learn to see through the lies. (it's still in progress)

Family:

  • Mother: Morgan le Fey. Alive.
  • Father: Archibald Melkior, Deceased.

Universe:   Merlin and fairytales world.

Status:  Alive. Active.

Personality:

Ada isn't very confident in herself due to her disability. (this would change when she learned the truth). She tries to prove her worth and often would get in trouble for that. She would go on adventures, usually without the permission of the Godmother or her supervisor The Blue Fairy, and would come back injured and unsuccessful. She's very stubborn and determined to prove she is one of the greatest fairies despite her disability. She also is a potty mouth and can resort to mental torture and being straight-up mean to avenge herself or assert her domination. She doesn't make friends easily and truth be told she has none because of her odd behaviour. Other fairies believe she's not a force of good because of the dark feelings she can nurture, therefore they don't want to be around her. She's also more likely to use others to reach her goal and would try to get the best she could from you if you tried to come close to her. Deep inside, she's just an insecure, sad, lonely, and powerful creature who hasn't realized her full potential yet and who might just need a friend.

Fictional Character Biography:

Morgan Le Fay met Archibald Melkior at a lake she was bathing at. None of them knew who the other was but they started to meet at the same spot every week. They fell in love with one another and soon enough Morgan got pregnant. The future parents talked about leaving Camelot and Archibald, unknowingly, almost convinced her to forget her war with Merlin. Unfortunately,  it was then revealed that he was an apprentice of Enchanter. Morgan entered into a bloody and cold rage, thinking that she was set up by the man. She left Archibald and decided to raise the child on her own.

He searched for her and the baby and after several months, Archibald kidnapped his own child. Morgan lost her mind when she realized he had taken their baby and launched her hellhounds after him. They found him and the Knight had to fight and ensure the protection of his daughter. He succeeded and delivered her to the fairy Godmother before his death. The knight made the Fairy Godmother promise to never tell his daughter the truth about her origins and to ensure she wouldn't try black magic.  Morgan couldn't fight the Fairy Godmother and needed the assistance of pure evil... The help of someone like Maleficent.

Unfortunately for Morgan, Maleficent went missing, forcing the enchantress to start looking for her and for potential other allies to help her in her mission. She allied herself with some shapeshifter and made sure nothing happened to her child and watched her grow more and more powerful. Blinded by rage but at times, distracted by her maternal love, Morgan spared the life of her daughter, at least until she reached her 20s. Merlin launched an attack on Morgan. His attack sensibly weakened the Enchantress who decided to retreat and hide for a while. She requested one of the shapeshifters to trick the girl into finding her so she could manipulate her daughter into sacrificing her life for her. The clueless girl has yet to know the truth from both the godmother and her mother and for now, is hellbent on proving herself as the greatest faery.

Current history:

She heard a rumor about Maleficent hiding in a mountain village and decided that she would reach out to that place and bring the mistress of Evil back to the Fairy Godmother.  The rumor is actually just bait created by Morgan to trick her daughter into finding her.

Chronicles of the primaeval gods: Life and death of Ishtar; Re-connection

Chronicles of the primaeval gods: Life and death of Ishtar; Re-connection

A/N: My god of war was talking, so I indulged him.

Xxx

“Brother-mine.”

Ayasha’s sweet voice pierced through the silence that had settled around the New All-father. Ishtar shrugged when he heard her, his body still tense at the sound of her voice. He had time to think of what his late brother and rival, Leviathan, had told him about his sister’s devouring ambition. Ayasha had always wanted to be seen by the universe. She had always wanted their father to notice her and consider her strength to be important, at least as important as brute strength demonstrated by her siblings. Ishtar did notice that his father, Khaos, only respected the destructive raw power of his strongest children. All her life, he was dismissive of her true potential and she slowly grew frustrated with this situation.

Ishtar didn’t need to be a genius to understand that Elpis’ birth was the catalysis of the goddess’ anger. He concluded that it was the lack of love from their father that both drove Ayasha to some extreme and facilitated her manipulation over Ishtar. The god of war had always wanted his parents love and got none of it. It wasn’t difficult for Ayasha to talk him into killing their father and becoming something better. Only “Ishtar” could become the new all-father, only he would know what to do and how to rule better than his father did. Only /he/ would be able to save them.  It wasn’t difficult to serenade the god and soothe his aching heart by painting Elpis as a traitorous demon.

“Ayasha… I didn’t think you’d dare come around me again.” -He sternly welcomed her. -

Ishtar still hadn’t come to terms with the truth. He still hadn’t come to terms with the rejection of his mother of his attempt at being forgiven by her. He still hadn't come to terms with the death of his brother at the hands of the Sin nor did he accept the fact his sister kept choosing Pride. Despite the 2000 years spent locked inside humans, unable to use her godly powers, unable to be remembered, she still wanted the sin. She still chose the punishment yet never stopped fighting. Ishtar was still in love with her, so much so that he didn’t know how to shake those feelings off of his heart. Why couldn’t he just stop loving Elpis? Why was it hurting him still? Why was he still jealous of the sin? So many questions he couldn’t answer. So many…

He still didn’t fully understand what was going on with Ayasha nor what her true motivations were. What he viewed as a petty desire to be noticed, hid a far stronger desire. He, like his father, was underestimating her, only taking a brief look at the surface rather than having a good hard look inside of her. Ayasha wanted to rule over the universe. She wanted to get rid of her rivals, including him but was far smarter than any of them. Ishtar was blinded by her wits and schemes and was unable to see the snake getting ready to bite his foot. Perhaps that was the tragedy of the god, to always be played, to always lose. Perhaps.

“I am the bearer of good news, Ishtar.”

“How so?” He tilted his head to set his eyes on her. She was standing tall, triumphant almost with the hands on her waist.

“I have spoken with my mother.” He curbed a brow, and the atmosphere became heavier all of a sudden as the pressure in the air became more intense. “You heard me well, I went to mother.”

“Why?” -Was all he could articulate. He clenched his jaw and tightened his grip on his sceptre.

“We need an ally. I cannot find Elpis because of sin’s ancient magic. Hades truly worked his ass off and was able to create absolute monsters. Nevertheless, Mother can locate her so I went to see her.”

“And… did you manage to get anything else but scorn from Mother?” He mused, his lips finally lifting up to form a smirk. Ayasha rolled her eyes and yanked her head back, allowing her blonde locks to cascade on her back and tease her tight small ass.

“Who do you think I am, brother-mine? She’s not here with us now, but I will soon reap what I sowed into her mind. She was hiding in the Philippines, pretending to care for those meat-suits when all she’s ever wanted was to be revered and worshipped.”

“What are you talking about?”- His voice boomed through the empty walls of his chambers. It sent a shiver down the spine of the goddess who shook her head and crossed her arms above her chest. She wasn’t impressed with his tantrums anymore and refused to bow down in fear, despite the shiver that went down her spine. –

“You know what I am saying.” She rubbed the bridge of her nose and walked closer to his strong frame. “ Mother was living a lie, this whole time. She refused to see the truth about herself, so I forced her to address it.”

She said, closing the space between the two gods. Ishtar grunted but didn’t answer her. He didn’t want to hear from her, nor did he want to listen to her words. Ayasha knew how to capture the attention of her audience and convince them with her silky words. The black-locked God knew that if he ever listened to her, he wouldn’t be able to keep his resolve safe. She would find a way to get into his mind and make him forgive her. Ishtar was still salty towards Ayasha and wanted to remain angry and sharp.

“I see. So you finally grew tired of playing games with me and chose to bother, Mother.”

“Ouch, now you’re being salty Ishtar! I told you, we need an ally. Mother is powerful and I simply wanted her to admit the truth, once in her life. She craves power, she craves recognition and she fears Elpis’ wrath. Why do you think she’s been hiding for so long?”

“Go on?...”

And that was all she needed to capture his attention. He was willing to listen to her and she finally had the opportunity to reverse the situation and finally be able to control him. Somehow, to know that his mother was flawed and wasn’t as good as she pretended, she was talked to him and softened his hardened exterior. He was angry, he was aroused. He was intrigued, he was aroused. As she talked to him and told him what happened with their mother, the god of war mellowed towards her. He turned around to face her and cut her short with a searing kiss, the first of many he intended to give her that night. If her plan worked, and their mother joined them, it would have been a most welcome victory for him and a chance he waited for to finally get more from his mother than cold indifference. Perhaps, perhaps….

Chronicles of the Primeval gods: THE CHESS GAME PART II (recap)

Chronicles of the Primeval gods: THE CHESS GAME PART II (recap)

A/N : I wrote the last recap in 2017, now it's time to explain what happened since then.

Xxxxxx

Ayasha, the Chessmaster was pushed to her limits. Nothing happened as planned. The Sin was able to forge a godslayer sword -KHAOS- that defeated the Primeval god of the Oceans. Leviathan was vanquished, and the dagger of Fate fell into Pride's hands. With the said dagger, he set Elpis free and saved the life of her human host. After he wiped Asma's memories of him and sent her back home, he focused on shielding and protecting his former beloved in the Underworld.

There, the all-seeing goddess of knowledge couldn't see them and would keep on looking for them through the fountain of truth. Powerful magic protected the Underworld, so powerful that even a primeval goddess couldn't overcome it. Pride counted on it to allow Elpis a proper recovery. After 2000 years spent locked in a human vessel, the goddess wasn't able to leave and was far more vulnerable to her sister's power and any other enemies they might have than needed. So Elpis stayed in the underworld.

The goddess and Pride spent some time together and they got to know each other. For the Sin, it was the first time he actually encountered her. He had a vague idea of who she was from the memories his older self kept of her, but this goddess was different. She piqued his interest and because she did, he decided to spend more time with her and get to know her. For Elpis, however, this was a shock. She learned that her beloved had been remade and the Pride that stood before her wasn't the one she fell in love with. It took a while for her to accept it but she eventually did.

She had the opportunity to think this through for a long while because Pride's attention was caught by his siblings' shenanigans. Greed, Gluttony, Envy and Wrath were trying to overthrow Pride and kill his faithful and loyal ally Lust. For millennia they attacked Pride and nearly killed him but since his last rebirth, Pride proved to be extremely powerful and with the help of his newly forged sword, he proved to be unbeatable. It took a long while, two human years before he destroyed their physical form and trapped their essence within his sword. It allowed for Elpis to grow in strength and recover a third of her energy.

She was now certain that she fell in love with this version of her beloved. She knew there was something better to build between the two of them. His ambition was only matched by hers and her desire to see him rule the Universe. Her desire for revenge, however, consumed the goddess who wanted to make her siblings pay for what they did to them. After all, Ishtar cursed her, made Pride forget about her, and Hades unmade him and remade him in order to have a perfect puppet to do his bidding. Their love was forbidden and crushed to the core but it survived and alongside it, fear crept into the heart of the two primeval gods responsible for this situation.

The relationship between Ayasha and Ishtar deteriorated ever since a conversation Ishtar had with his brother. The master of the ocean confused the new All-Father when he talked about Ayasha's devouring ambition. It was enough to make the god think, especially since Leviathan's death. Ishtar realized that Ayasha did manipulate him into killing their father and seize power. She could as well be pretending to be in love with him and concerned about Elpis. Eventually, she could have been manipulating him into doing her bidding and his ego was rubbed the wrong way. Since he refused to talk to his sibling, the two of them had not been seen together.

Ayasha was starting to be scared because she knew she had no protection left against the sin and her sister -if she didn't find a way to control Ishtar again-. As she was pushed to a corner, the goddess realized that she still had a card to play. Asma, the human vessel of her beloved sister could become her saving grace. She decided to attack her and kill the human, therefore tearing the sin and her sister's relationship apart and having Elpis killed by Pride. As the goddess of knowledge, she would search for ways to contain Pride and defeat him while they performed as she wanted.

But would it work?

Chronicles of the primeval gods: Life and Death of Ayasha: Moving pieces

Chronicles of the primeval gods: Life and Death of Ayasha: Moving pieces

xxx

A/N : Desperate times call for desperate measures. Ayasha is struggling with what she has to do next.

XXXX

After a moment of panic, the goddess of knowledge finally found her saving grace. The human host that looked just like her sister would be her way out of a complicated situation. It was proven that the Sin cared for her, he cared so much that he stole the dagger of fate so he could set Elpis free without killing her host. It wasn't that much of a stretch, to imagine that the sin actually formed a bond with the human and cared more for her than he ever did with Elpis. He had been unmade, so their connection was severed, lost, sent to oblivion. Her goal was clear, find the human and kill her. She wanted Elpis to witness her beloved's love for the human and to have her jealousy force the sin to kill her. Pride would do the dirty job and would rid Ayasha of her sister; She would then find a way to lock him down and get rid of that threat. The idea gained more and more of her favor and the tears that nearly formed in her eyes dried off and were replaced with a smile. She would have to kill the human, but it couldn't be done in a haste.

She had to carefully plan her attack in order for her to destroy her enemies. She had to wait until they would leave the Underworld and go back to the mortal realm before she could attack. Waiting had never been an issue for the meticulous goddess. However, she was running out of time considering Ishtar was distancing himself from her. Leviathan's last words truly did a number on her brother. Typical of that troublemaker. He hated Ayasha when he was alive and he managed to make her pay for her wisdom and capability. It wasn't her fault if the faulty late god had never been able to carefully plan something. It wasn't her fault if he never was able to take power and sit on that throne. It was his Fate. To die by the hand of the Sin, to clear the path for her to rule... no.. to make it harder for her to rule so she would have to become even better at this game.

Ishtar was just a matter of time. He was angry, confused, upset and very aware of what was happening around him. She knew that once their sister died, he would return to being the obedient instrument she was using to rule the world. Ayasha welcomed the challenge. After all, she was a masterful deceiver and would be able to manipulate her brother again and use him to conquer the universe. She was the superior goddess, the future Regina and nothing would stop her now. It should have calmed her down and for a brief moment, it did. Unfortunately, her peace of mind was disturbed by the very face of her little sister. Elpis was alive, she was set free from her curse and she was furious. It was an incredible risk Ayasah was taking by allowing her to go to the mortal realm. Elpis, if she truly knew her potential, would become extremely powerful at their contact, something Ayasha couldn't risk. She knew that their little « Light » was actually as powerful as Gaea and could potentially become the new All-mother if she was truly aware of her potential.

She could never let this happen. Elpis couldn't become this powerful and the Sin couldn't possibly come to their shores. If both of them -or even just Pride- reached the primeval gods' realm, There was a good chance he would defeat them like he did Leviathan. He had a weapon capable of slaying gods. He had a weapon that surely empowered him the more he defeated enemies. There was a chance, that at this very moment, Pride was having a force that matched the All-father of all creation. Ishtar might not be invincible, despite all the power he had and just the thought was enough to make her shake. What was this feeling she couldn't shake off? Was it what humans called fear? The blonde goddess clenched her fists and looked at her reflection on the mirror. She couldn't be afraid.

She couldn't accept the taint of fear in her heart when she spent almost all of her life being fearless! How could her little sister bring her to her knees without even being in the same room as hers? How could she make Ayasha question her strategy when she was still recovering in the Underworld? For the first time in her life, Ayasha realized she could lose and she could die. Her own mortality was something she never considered until Leviathan was killed. Somehow, she realized that her ambition could drive her to her grave if she wasn't careful. The black butterfly that visited her prior to her brother's demise could very well visit her again and it was something she didn't want.

It was something that would never happen.

Chronicles of Lux and Tenebrae: The End World- part 4- The Alpha and the Omega

A/ N: We're finally meeting the harpies and getting some answers to some questions.

Xxxxxxxxx

Forced to remain at Elysion, the prince finally decided to take Lux out of the glass castle so she could meet his people. He would walk next to her, to ensure her safety and would keep a very close and somber face. It was no secret that Tenebrae didn't like spending time at Elysium, mostly because the people were afraid of him and he could see through their lies and fake smiles that they'd rather be far away from him. It didn't bother him, per say, solitude was a companion for most of his life. What it did was, irritate him. As the prince, he had to spend time with them, he had to rule them when his father went on Earth to collect fresh souls and decide of their fate. He had to be there because the King left the End Realm to investigate the attack on Life's realm. He kept sighing and groaning as the two of them walked through the beautiful -albeit monochromatic green- streets of Elysium.

Lux was a curiosity because she was very much alive. Her body was real and warm and attractive to the eye of the dead who couldn't stop but gather around her any chance they got. It made the princess uncomfortable because she wasn't used to being stared at like that. She would glance at Tenebrae for reassurance as they kept walking through Elysium and she finally witnessed what he talked about. His people carefully avoided him and for those who couldn't, she noticed they were shaking from head to toe. Elysium, despite the strange relationship the prince entertained with his subjects, was a beautiful place. Not as beautiful as the realm of all beginnings but it had its peculiar beauty. She enjoyed the sight of the different architectures that were testimonies of the changes throughout mankind history. She enjoyed the variety of people she saw and how much they had not changed from when they were alive. Humans always said that Death was the beginning of something new and that existence didn't stop once you passed away. Lux knew they were right since the End Realm existed but she never got to see human's afterlife this close. Was she disappointed? No, not really but she realized that they were a world apart from the world of the living and she might need more than just a day to adjust to it.

Tenebrae was able to find them a quiet place, far away from sycophants and the unwanted attention of the princess. He took her to the outskirt of Elysium, where a huge wall separated it from « Hell ». Not many people ventured there so the pair was alone, which was a huge relief for the prince who rolled his head from left to right. He couldn't leave Elysium and couldn't take her outside of it, so he managed to ask one of his former wet nurses to come to him instead. The princess tightly held the fabric of her black and green asymmetric dress and tilted her head to the side.

« Tenebrae.. » -She called for him, but he wouldn't look at her.- «Tenebrae? »

« I hear you just fine, Lux. » -He whispered before he looked up to the black « sky ».

« Why are we here? I thought we couldn't leave? »

« We're not leaving. I called for one of my wet nurses so I could have some answers about the keeper of secret's riddle. »

« It wasn't a riddle. They told us what we needed to hear. » Lux crossed her arms over her chest. « But I see what you're doing. We can't ask your father, otherwise, he would know you were looking for a way to get rid of him. We can't ask any of the elders...In case it was one of them who tried to kill mother and me. » She sighed.

« You figured that out. » He was sarcastic, not really against her, she could tell, but the prince was frustrated.

« I still can use my brain, it seems. » She joked along with him, relieving a little bit of the tension that settled between the two of them.

Tenebrae was still worried about Lux. He had no clues about what lied in the future. Of course, he made a promise to himself when he found out that she was dead. He promised to avenge her and he intended to keep his promise, even though the princess was now alive and recovering. For a split second, the prince believed that the only thing in the universe that mattered to him was murdered and taken away from him. He wanted nothing but the blood of his enemies and to make them suffer as he was suffering and still was. Her life was fragile as it was and anything could actually kill her since she was defenseless and her lifeforce wasn't completely restored to her. Just like that, he could lose her for good. She noticed how he closed himself off again after his outburst last time and he avoided looking at her because he didn't know how this version of her would handle his true face.

Lux had not tried to reach out to him just yet, she was too confused about herself and the recent events to eventually know what to do next. She did feel the prince distance himself from her and it was unsettling to say the very least. She was used to feeling him watch over her, reach out to her so he could touch her skin, feel her close to his frame, make her feel safe because he was with her. She was used to him speak of their past relationship, of all the wonders and the thrills they shared and of how much they cared for one another. She was used to him but ever since he cried and showed her his true face, he put a barrier between the two of them, out of shame maybe? Out of fear? She couldn't tell. She noticed and it didn't sit well with her. His name was at the tip of her tongue as she wanted to call him again and ask him about the distance he put between them but a noise caught her attention. It was the same noise as flapping wings and the powerful wind that whipped the goddess' face was enough to confirm that something with giant wings was landing nearby. She watched a huge humanoid form with eagle's feet land in front of them. The torso and face of a woman, wings instead of hands, bird's claws for feet. Her hair was dark as night and contrasted with the pasty white hair the dead all had.

« Finally, Althea. You're here. » Tenebrae's voice softened at the sight of what seemed to be a harpy.

« Of course, my prince. You call and I come. » Althea replied, her amber eyes scanning the area and setting on Lux who was standing nearby, visibly frightened. « We are in a hurry, my presence isn't welcomed here and my sisters didn't want me to come, but you've always been my favorite, so here I am. » She said with a sharp smile before her eyes averted from the prince to set on Lux.

« I will make it quick then. We've seen the Keeper of Secrets and they told us a riddle. »

« It wasn't a riddle, » whispered Lux who crossed her arms over her chest to give herself some courage.

« What did they tell you, my prince? »

Althea was huge, probably the same size as the super monster they fought a while ago. She was one, after all, a monster with bloodthirst and malice in its eyes. Althea was the sweetest of the harpies who kept Tenebrae was an infant. She was fond of the prince and taught him the secrets of the End realm. She secretly trained the kid so he could control his powers and open/close the portal only when he reached a level of anger high enough to break the mental blocks they put in him. She wasn't the strongest but she definitely was the fiercest and the most knowledgeable. As the prince gently petted her wings, Althea tilted her head to the side as he finally began to answer her question.

« They mentioned the Vanishing Point and two chosen ones...I didn't understand what they meant. What is the Vanishing Point? I've never been there. »

«I see... The Vanishing Point is a celestial prison. This is where the worst of the monsters and the celestials deemed too dangerous are locked. They can't escape it, can't go to the human plane or the divine plane. They are isolated for all eternity. »

« They spoke about an Alpha and an Omega. They even said it happened long before I was born. What happened,  Althea? » -His eyes were filled with unshed tears. His voice was raspy and tired.

«Ah! My prince, you're really asking the most difficult questions today. » Althea complained, but she rolled her eyes as she saw Tenebrae's determined face. « Well, fine. I will tell you. A long time ago, two deities performed the ritual to lock three celestials who wanted to bring harm to the world of the living. They held hands, chanted the spell and banished the entities to the Vanishing Point. The Keeper of Secrets told you what you needed to know. Only a strong connection between two powerful beings could defeat any celestial existing. Your father, yourself, Life and even Time could be banished using this technique. But it's risky, it's tasking. It requires true love and trust. » She sneered and bent a little forward, her head inches away from Lux who swallowed hard and held onto her arms tighter.

« Thank you, Althea... I am having a better idea of how we could defeat those who hurt Lux and Queen Life. »

« We do not have much time, I'm afraid. » Althea said as she looked up to the sky. « My sisters found me and soon enough, your guards also will. I have to leave before it goes out of hand. » She wrapped her wings around the prince « It was good to see you again, my prince and before we part ways, you have to know something. The Alpha and the Omega were Life and Death. » She said before taking off and leaving a shocked prince.

« What did she say? » Lux asked as she reached out to Tenebrae's arm. He looked at her, this time with relief in his eyes as he finally got some answers. «Tenebrae? » She called his name again and once again, he didn't respond to her. The prince simply cupped her cheek and pressed his lips against her forehead.

« I know who your enemies are. I know who they are! » He said cupping her other cheek and leaning his forehead against hers.

Tenebrae pieced everything together from both Althea's answers and what he knew from his father. A long time ago, Death and Life defeated the three other horsemen of Apocalypse. Death always told the story of those events to his infant son and it stayed with him as he grew older. It made sense that in order to lock them in the Vanishing Point, he had to use the help of the only other being he loved: Life. As he laughed and celebrated with Lux who still didn't understand everything, Tenebrae realized that his father was in love with Life and probably had been in love with her for a long time. It shocked him enough for him to become stiff, which drew the princess' attention. She cupped his cheeks and stroked them with her thumbs. It was time to return to the glass castle and rest. Tenebrae's jet black orbs set upon the goddess and he planted another kiss on top of her head before he held her hand and took her back home. His whole mind was focused on confronting his father about the revelation Althea just made. He had to ask, he had to understand. But was he ready for the answers? He couldn't tell.

chronicles of Lux and Tenebrae: Love

There was no pain in the world that was worse than losing the only person you loved. Love was a feeling the son of Death never thought he could experience someday. Born from a loveless union, raised by the harpies in the outer skirt of the End Realm, where monsters thrived, Tenebrae was devoid of love. He didn't need it, didn't understand it. He just was. and the prince of the afterlife was like one could imagine: Cold and cruel. He thrived on the terror and pain he inflicted on the souls of the damned, he slew monsters one after the other until he grew bored of it. He was aware that nobody in the whole End realm felt anything but fear when it came to him. It was to be expected, after all, he was worse than Death, he was the void incarnate.

But he met Lux and she turned his world upside down. She loved him and that love was powerful because, for the first time in his very existence, Tenebrae felt whole. She filled the void in his heart, gave him a new purpose and more importantly, she made him less angry. He was happy and genuinely so. She was the only being in the whole universe to have seen his true form and not have fled from him. She was the only one to soften him when he was angry and made him realize that he was more than just the son of Death. She gave him a purpose and a meaning to his existence. And it was taken away from him. It made his heart bleed and he had not found yet a way to make it stop.

Love was this very fleeting thing, one minute it was there and the next it was gone. One minute it built you up and the next it crushed you down. Tenebrae was devastated. Never before the prince had felt this lost. He didn't know what to do to help her regain her memory and he was afraid that she would not love him again if she were to start over with him. It was painful to look at her, knowing she was this close and yet too far away, unreachable. The only comfort the prince had, was that Lux would eventually remember him because her condition was just an enchantment of her mother, to allow the princess to fully recover before she could return on the battlefield. The only comfort the prince had, was that maybe, her love would come back and along with it, he would return to being whole.

Chronicles of Lux and Tenebrae: The Keeper of Secrets (part 2)

A/ N: part 2: Stumbling. Those kids are not in front of the most powerful being of the universe. -relatively speaking. Death is the most powerful or is he?- and they are very tense because of the fight they just had. What would the Keeper teach them?

Xxxxxxx

Lux was standing tall, a few footsteps away from Tenebrae who had crossed his arms over his chest. He didn't want to look intimated by the creature that appeared in front of them. The keeper of secrets had a golden crown of roses, a long black lace veil that covered their face. It was difficult to know their features, but they seemed to appear soft, round and small. The veil was long enough to cover the rest of their body, body that was itself covered in a thick layer of black fabric that put together made some sort of a toga with a golden belt wrapped around their waist. The only skin Lux and Tenebrae could see was their white with green hues feet. Lux glanced up to the Keeper and crossed her arms over her chest, her eyes flashing brightly and her brows furrowed. Tenebrae was standing tall next to her but despite him being tall, the Keeper was even taller. It was an actual giant which was sitting on a moving ebony wooden throne. They looked down at the pair but didn't move from the chair.

« We have a question. » Tenebrae started, forcing Lux to turn around to look at him. She clenched her fists and furrowed her brows.

« I am aware of this. You have been looking for me for a long time, Son of Death. » They said, grinning behind the veil. They turned their head to look at the puny goddess who was still staring at them with anger in her eyes. « As I am aware you also came with a question in mind. »

« How many answers can we have? » Inquired Lux.

« Many... but you only have one question to ask. » She opened her mouth to protest their words but they kept talking. « I know it sounds unfair, but this is how things work. I will only answer one question and one only. » She looked at Tenebrae and folded her arms above her chest.

« Please...ask them about my attackers...ask them about my memories. I need to remember. »

« You will remember in due time, I would never know how to defeat my father and the likes if I ask about your memory. »

« Are you willing to risk my memories? » She asked, eyes wide open. He looked at her and nodded quietly. Yes, he was. He was willing to risk their love to know how to defeat deities like his father because he knew how valuable this information was. She couldn't understand and he didn't blame her for wanting to regain her identity and the missing memory from her mind but it would come back to her, at least Tenebrae was willing to bet his life on it. «  I don't. I don't want to risk that because of a petty feud you have with your father. I would like to. »

Tenebrae touched her hand, causing sparkles to emit from their joint fingers. He held tighter and forced the sparkles to become more intense. In the Astral plane, their hands touching would only sparkle without any consequence. It was just an explosion of light and darkness but here on Earth, their hands touching created something different. Something unexpected. It was enough energy to push them away from one another and make them a nosebleed. The white-haired prince touched his nose but used the fact the goddess had not recovered fully and was half-conscious to ask his question.

« We might not agree on this, but I Tenebrae have a question for you Keeper » Of course, there was a special incantation to say when one wanted to ask the Keeper of Secret a question and Tenebrae learned it a long time ago when he first heard of the entity. « There is an answer to each question and to each question, there is an answer. And the one before me holds the key to knowledge. I bow before thee, Keeper of Secrets, ready to ask the question that burns my lips ever since it existed in my mind. I bow before thee, Keeper of Secrets, ready to know what you know. »

« Then speak son of Death. I am all ears. » The Keeper asked, moving their crooked fingers to encourage the young god to come closer. Tenebrae cleared his throat and looked up to the Keeper.

« I want to know how to kill my father. »

« You cannot. » -The answer was dry. Lux slowly came to her senses and held onto her dress as she knelt. She was too late, Tenebrae had asked his question. It made her groan and she rubbed the back of her neck.

« I can't? » He blinked and straightened up. He put his hands on his waist.

« Yes. You cannot kill a deity like Death or Life. You can't kill Time or Fate. You can't even kill me. When I am on Earth. However, do not look disappointed, child. There is an answer to your question. You can't kill Death but you can defeat him. »

« How can I defeat him? » His eyes turned fully black as he was now curious about what the keeper would tell him. He realized that it was foolish of him for trying to kill Death because ultimately, Death was needed. Tenebrae didn't even consider Lux who was still sitting on her heels. She was awake enough to listen to the conversation between the two deities...

« A long time ago, long before you were even an idea in your father's mind, a similar ritual was performed. To banish a deity as powerful as your father, you will need the Alpha and the Omega, holding hands. They would chant the sacred spell. 'Together, at last, we will banish thee to the Vanishing Point'. You will need the Alpha and the Omega to have a strong connection, a link that can't be defeated. Only their true affection for one another would create a bond strong enough to lock Death away. »

« What's the vanishing point? »

« I have answered your question. » The keeper's voice boomed through the room.

« No. No, you haven't. You left me with more questions. You left me with--- »

All of a sudden, the pair found themselves in the streets once again. Lux had recovered from the little shockwave caused by their mutual touch and she looked at Tenebrae. He was shocked, his eyes returned to the normal black orbs they were as he clenched and unclenched his fists. He was this close to having all the answers yet he didn't have all of them. Was the Keeper lying? Were they trying to mess with the Prince's mind? He kept in mind the answer but who was the Alpha and the Omega? What was the Vanishing point? The white-haired god didn't even have time to think through that Lux slapped him. She didn't even think twice about doing it. He purposely ignored her pleas, sacrificed her memory in order to ask a selfish question and on top of it all, they didn't even have an answer. They were left with more questions. He took the slap, feeling that he deserved at least this and rubbed his skin with his fingers.

« You asked this stupid question. » She blamed him with. He nodded quietly. « You asked this stupid question and now look where we're at! We don't know more than when we went there. I don't remember you. I don't know who I am. I can't figure anything out. Do you know how it feels?  Of course not! You never had to experience this! » She accused him of.

« I understand why you're upset and I can't say 'sorry' enough. I disagree, however. We know more than when we went there. We know it happened in the past. We know we need the Alpha and the Omega. We know about the Vanishing point. We'll find those answers. »

« How do you exactly plan to find them? By asking your father? » Tenebrae shook his head but didn't dismiss the possibility to ask his father. He first intended to find the Harpies. They raised him and might be more willing than his father to explain the past to him. She sighed, disappointed and upset at him. « That's what I thought. You don't know. »

« I will find the answers, Lux. For both of us. » She sighed again and flinched when he walked closer. He put his hands on her shoulders, relieved that the shockwave they experienced before didn't happen again.

« Convince me then! Convince me because so far, all I see is a selfish prince who lusts after his father's power. I am just an excuse you use to hide behind. » She spat at him. He shook his head and cupped her cheek, sending shivers down her spine.

« It's not true and you know it. I care about you. I have always cared about you because I love you. »

« I don't know what you're talking about. I can't feel it because I can't remember you. Stop.. stop... » She held onto his chest and leaned her head against his. « I just want to remember everything and help my mother. I want to remember you. » She shut her eyes tight. « I want to remember everything. »

« You will. I promise. »

But it seemed more and more that this was a promise he couldn't keep. Or could he?

Doya. Sam Winchester x Oya: he loves her.

[Sam Winchester xOya -their friendship-

Take anything and you can turn it into a habit whether you like it or not. Take anyone and you could somehow accommodate their presence in your life, whether you like them or not. Sam disliked Crowley to say the very least of it but he managed to accept the weird relationship he had with the King-not king-king again of Hell. Maybe he got used to him like someone gets used to a tumor or maybe he had seen worse than what Crowley could do to him to actually start and care about him. Either way, it brought his thoughts back to Oya. Oya was...She was quite Something. He still remembered when they met her for the first time. She was hunting vampires and got herself into a very powerful nest that nearly killed her. Fortunately for the hunter, the Winchesters had been working the case and found the nest right in time to save her from a certain death. The fact she stubbornly refused to let them clean the place on their own and stubbornly fought by their side was both mesmerizing and unnerving so of course, they argued once the vampires all died. He liked her spunk, the no-bullshit personality, and the bossy attitude. Strong enough to make them comply without too much resistance -unless the topic was serious or personal- but tolerable for both of them.
It happened without him really coming to a realization that she was in his life. At times Sam even rejected the idea that someone new, someone who could die like so many of them did before, was living with them. It felt like "Charlie" all over again with Oya. Of course, they were very different. Charlie was bright and positive, and a real piece of Sunshine. She was that annoying little sister he didn't think he wanted to have. She loved hunting and took it as an adventure or a quest since she was a big geek. And she died a hero, protecting the book of the damned from those Dangerous nazis the best she could. Of all the deaths Sam witnessed, he didn't take Charlie's very well. If anything, he shut himself down completely, refusing to add another victim to the list of those he already lost. Her death was unfair, losing her was unfair and much like Bobby's death, Charlie's hurt deeply the younger Winchester.Oya.. she didn't give them much choice. She was already there. She has damaged already, clearly so. He could tell she held grudges Against Angels and that she was traumatized by a past she barely shared with them and yet was fascinating in the way she experienced being a hunter. She came from a different country in another continent where hunters weren't forced to the crappy life Sam and his brother had to endure. She also, despite the oddities of her behavior (he noticed how she acted when she was having a Panic Attack and when she was really pissed off. he noticed the violence that sometimes burst out of her like she was possessed by a demon but she never hurt an innocent, except maybe with her words.)
She was a piece of work, just like they both were. But one who was maybe less emotionally constipated than he was. She had a terrible poker face, couldn't lie to any of the brothers even when she tried to. There was this quality about her, the raw honesty that Drew Sam towards her. He trusted Oya because even when she screwed up, she owned it. maybe too much. She pretended she was tough and badass and couldn't feel anything or didn't care but she cared, maybe too much, maybe not enough.. maybe in between and unlike any of the brothers, she said it. She was intense, she was true, she had her heart up to her sleeve and went out of her ways to protect the siblings. "keeping them together because they had each other" as she'd say. He would always correct her and let her know that she had her place in this big family of theirs. (big if you count how big an angel could be.) and that they didn't need another guardian angel to keep Sam and Dean together. He wanted Oya to feel at home when he was there, to feel cared for.. to feel like she mattered. Because you see, she did. Sam realized that morning, that after more than a year spent by her sides, he genuinely loved Oya and let her in like he did with Charlie. He let her in enough to argue with her about trivial things such as her thinking they all had hardships with spitting the Truth but she at least tried to be honest with how she felt and didn't understand why they would reject her openness. He liked her enough to let her text him every day to check on him and make sure he was okay. He liked her enough to let her buy him books about spells or the music of Vince Vincente and make a big deal out of it, even if it wasn't the way he preferred things to be. He liked her enough to fill in the role of his older brother and bring her comfort and peace at night with cuddles when Dean wasn't home.
He loved Oya. like a sister. But Sam refused to acknowledge that because he didn't want to be hurt again. He could very much lose this reckless stubborn strong head given how much she loved taking risks and often came back injured and without notice. She felt compelled to sacrifice herself to save his or Dean's life because she valued them more than hers and therefore could hurt herself much more easily. He had to protect her too and hope she was alright when they weren't together. Sam loved her and he would hurt the first person who would try and hurt Oya, or put her life in danger. So with her laid on his lap as she fell asleep in front of the tv, he ran his hand through her hair, massaging her scalp for a while as he drank a glass of scotch and he ended up sighing. Here he was again, ready to get heartbroken again.
But he loved her.
Like the sister, he had lost once.
Like Charlie, but in his very own way.
Damnit!

Max and Phoenix: Stitches

Max and Phoenix: stitches

xxx

A/N: Ah.. these two. Finally talking about the elephant in the room without actually naming it :p All the usual disclaimers! Max belongs to my friend M. and Phoenix belongs to me.

xxx xxx

Max, once they arrived at his apartment, helped an injured Phoenix walk into it and sit on the couch. She leaned her head against the headrest of the couch and looked up at the ceiling. She wanted to know if Kara made it but knew that she should not go the hospital and take the risk of being busted by police or even walk into a trap. Whatever happened from now would, either way, be a victory against Cesare? Kara would have died if she didn't intervene and if she hadn't then her death would have fueled Phoenix need for revenge. Saving her thwarted Cesare's plan to come legit or at least try and win the hearts of his target audience. Saving kara was saving a little bit of her own soul. Even if Kara died now, Cesare would have lost an asset.

Nevertheless, she realized that Max sacrificed a perfect opportunity to get Cesare. He came to her and rescued her from a certain death. It became crystal clear as soon as she entered his car and she couldn't shake her guilt off of her mind. Cesare was Max's end goal. He wanted to find him and make him pay for what happened to his family, so she realized how big of a sacrifice he actually made to save her life. Her eyes grew wide and she looked at her hands and injured knee. Max walked around, she didn't pay attention to him and instead moved her leg away to take a better look at her injury. After a while, Max finally puts a stool in front of Phoenix and sat on it. He grabbed her leg and poured some alcohol on a large cotton disk. She looked at him, chewing on her bottom lip as she anticipated the pain He started to clean the wound, making her hiss at the sensation of the stinging alcohol on her torn flesh.

« Max.. max... » She began with before Phoenix rolled her eyes and bit her bottom lip.

« You're used to worse. C'mon, don't be a baby. » He said with a chuckle before he stroked her smooth leg. « Considering what you went up against, it's great you didn't get more injured. »

« The toughest job I've ever had to do...keeping someone alive,... » She sighed and leaned into the couch. « I'm a killer... that's what I do. Saving Kara....if I have saved her... »

« You did your best. You saved her back there, from the OD, from her bodyguards. Don't be so hard on yourself. » He said as he'd cleaned up the whole leg area from her blood. He pushed himself a little further so she could rest her whole leg on his and he used a wet towel to clean her leg from all the blood that rolled down her soft skin.

« If you say so... »

She said, crossing her arms over her chest. She wasn't convinced that she did enough to protect Kara but he was right about something, she at least... tried. She hissed again and watched as he grabbed some needle and some surgical thread to start stitching her up. She glanced at his hands, working fast and steady on her leg and stitching her up quite fast. Max was right, she had been hurt in way worse ways before and endured extreme pain, this was almost like a peck on the lips and she didn't feel much. As he worked on her leg, the brunet looked up at her face, seeing guilt she didn't want to express just yet.

« Maybe we can talk about the elephant in the room? » He said, putting the final touch on his stitches.

« Which elephant? » She asked as she rolled her head to the left. « Oh... you mean that one. » She said, looking back at Max.

« Yeah. I mean that one. I know you've been trying to say something since you got into my car, so say it. » Phoenix pursed her lips into a pout and watched as he put her leg back on the floor now that he was done stitching her up.

« You didn't have to come back to me. » Phoenix finally said, her voice barely hiding her guilt as she spoke.

« Of course I had to. » He countered and sat on the couch next to her.

« You didn't have to. I had it under control. You.. you helped me and Cesare escaped you. It was a-- »

« I chose to come back. »

« It was a one time opportunity! You could have killed this son of a bitch instead of coming to my res...help »

« I /chose/ to come back. » He repeated but she grew more agitated and sat straight on the couch.
« I don't care! You let him run away and what for? »

« I did it for /you /! I chose to come back for you! It was a suicide mission and you know it more than I do. I couldn't let you die.»

« What the fuck? »

She was dumbfounded by his words and looked at him with eyes wide open. Max scratched the back of his head and growled, unease at his own words. He admitted that he decided to go back and find her rather than let Phoenix handle the rescue mission on her own. Of course, he knew she was a very capable assassin, he heard about her reputation, he saw her in action. He just couldn't live with himself if she simply died while trying to do the right thing. Her hazel eyes stared at him, almost getting wet from unshed tears as she didn't understand what his words implied, or maybe she did but refused to acknowledge it. He cupped her left cheek to make her stop moving and stroked the soft skin with his thumb. Phoenix was shaking, internally screaming at what she'd just heard. He gave up his one shot at revenge to save her life? He did it for her? Because he wanted her alive? Why did he want her alive? She looked confused, scared even but his hand on her cheek was soothing so Phoenix held his hand there, leaning into his touch while she kept giving him questioning looks.

« I did it for you. » He repeated again, cupping her other cheek. « Because I couldn't live with myself if you had died back there. I couldn't. I refused. Do you understand? » She nodded softly and then shook her head.

« I do. I think I do.. I'm not sure I fully understand why you did this Max. I'm an assassin...I have so much red on my ledger... I deserve to die. » She looked down and shut her eyes tight. « Are you saying you care about me? That you couldn't let me die because you care about me? » -He lifted her face so she would look at him and nodded-

Max wasn't ready to say too much, these kinds of things took time and he wasn't even sure of how he truly felt for her. All he knew was that holding her face, being in front of her, being sure she was living and breathing was enough to put his mind at ease. He knew she would have done the same, how many times did she come back to save his ass when they were working together? How many time did she put herself in danger just to ensure his safety? She would have come back to him just like he did and he would be in her shoes wondering why she did that when she didn't have to. His heart was beating faster in his ribcage and he wrapped his hand around the back of her neck. Her lips were still trembling but she nodded as he answered her truthfully. He cared for her and because he did, Max came back and saved her from a certain death. She rubbed his hands and gently pressed her lips against his inner wrist.

« You would have done the same. » He finally said, searching for confirmation from her. Phoenix nodded quietly and looked back to his face.

« I would have. I would have done the same thing... I would have come back for you too. I wouldn't be able to live knowing I let you die and I could have prevented it from happening. »

She finally said, collecting her thoughts and saying what she was the most comfortable saying. He grabbed the back of her neck and gently pushed her face closer to his, so his lips could crash on hers for a kiss he had been wanting to give her since she left him. She closed her eyes and wrapped her arms around his neck, pulling him towards her as she laid on the couch. It was the first time she didn't stiffen against him, the first time she kissed him in such a soft fashion. Max made sure he didn't press his whole mass against hers and kept giving her small pecks, all the while stroking her cheeks. She sighed in the kiss and closed her eyes again as he rested his head against her chest and wrapped his arms around her waist.

« I will get Cesare. Missing this opportunity won't make it any less easy for him. I'll have another. »

« I'll help you. My journey with Kara is... » She picked up the radio that was playing in the background, talking about the events of the evening and how many people really got injured. Curiously, the only injuries that occurred were the ones that involved people being stomped on by running victims. Nobody died but there were many injured. Kara was said to have OD'd but thanks to a good Samaritan, she survived that night. They also reported the heavy presence of police to ensure the reporter's protection since it was common knowledge that the mob had kidnapped her, which made Phoenix sigh in relief and run her fingers through Max's hair. « Yeah.. just like I said, my work here is done. She's safe now... Cesare and the drug traffic need to be stopped...for good. »

« You need to rest up. You've done enough gymnastics tonight. » He said, planting a kiss on her chest and then her neck. He smiled at her and gently pulled away from her. « Are you hungry? » She nodded and rubbed her belly. « Gotcha. I'm gonna getcha burgers so you can have your fix. » He said, standing back up. « Phoenix... »

«Yeah? » She asked, tucking some black locks behind her ear.

« You did great tonight. »

She gave him a sheepish smile and waved her hand as he left the apartment. Now with herself, she leaned back on the couch and wrapped her arms around her waist. A lot had just happened in less than an hour and her mind was confused as to how to proceed all that information. She ran her fingers over her plump lips, relishing in the taste of Max. A smile crept up and she covered her face with her hand. How on Earth could she, an experienced assassin, find someone who actually cared about her to the point of coming back. She chuckled at her own situation and curled into a ball to a corner of the couch, falling asleep a little bit while waiting for Max to return with food. They still had a lot to deal with, but tonight eventually, they could rest some and enjoy what they had: Each other.
