COPG: Life and Death of Ishtar: he was ready to put an end to it.

COPG:  Life and Death of Ishtar: he was ready to put an end to it.

Ishtar didn't wait for Ayasha to be ready and instantly teleported to the location she gave him.  He needed to see for himself the truth of her words. As soon as he arrived, he noticed how unusual the place looked. How come this place was such a wreck in the middle of tall buildings? It was completely taken over by flowers, vines, and other vegetation that made it look like a wild garden.  The naked eye could be fooled and would think that it was a genuine natural event, but he knew better. He could see the essence of his sister all over the place. He could literally see it on the floor mixed with the cum of that disgusting beast that was the Sin. He could see her godly essence at every corner of the former room, at the feet of every plant that grew from the blood of humans. He could see her influence and her essence lingering in this garden as well as the thoughts and emotions of the mortals who died within those walls.  They had sex there.  He could smell her. He could feel it in his bones, what had transpired in this room. It was as if the scene was playing in his very eyes. -courtesy of his beloved sister's essence-.

He felt the jaws of jealousy seize his heart and squeeze it hard as he looked over the whole scenerie. He could see his sister, laid on the floor, legs open for all to see. He could see it now, the cock of the Sin sliding in and out of his beloved sister. He could hear her screams, the choked moans as she would beg for more. He could feel how depraved that event was despite being unable to see what had exactly unfolded. All he could feel were the desires from the mortals slain here. He could feel their desperation for the goddess, their lust mixed with anger and bloodlust. He could feel them lose their minds and kill each other in the name of Elpis. It wasn't just her mere presence there that caused such a ruckus. No. She actively influenced them to give everything to her as tributes. They worshipped her, plain and simple, and she turned their lives upside down. If anything, life booming in this secluded place, turning the building into pieces, was a testament of her power.  Elpis had nothing to do with the meek goddess they convinced her to be. She was reclaiming her power, and that was easy to see.

Ayasha finally arrived, her blonde vessel dropped in nothing but a white and gold toga. She noticed the scenery and quickly came to the same conclusion as Ishtar. It was Elpis' doing. This place reeked of her essence, and the display of power was obscene but willful. Her dear sister wanted them to find it and to know that she was able to roam the Earth without being noticed by Ayasha's spies. It also was a way for her to showcase her power and influence on mortals. She had tapped into the destructive side of Life, as those trees that grew from the pools of blood and entrails on the floor testified. She had made such a bold and flamboyant move that Ayasha understood the gravity of the situation. Elpis was in control. For the first time in a long time, she was the one calling the shot, and worse than anything, she had vanished from their eyes and could strike at any moment. Ayasha swallowed a lump.

"Brother-mine. If anything, this is Elpis' declaration of war."

"Do you think I don't see it? She's taunting us with her display of power!" -He roared. His voice boomed in this makeshift garden. Ayasha swallowed a lump and bit her bottom lip-

"Ishtar... She is more powerful now than she's ever been. She grew trees and vines and flowers from inside a building. She tore this place into a million pieces and turned it into a garden. You can see it, can't you? Her influence? Humans worshipped her to the point of killing each other and themselves in doing so. They gave her everything, from their essence to their lives, and she took every last bit of it.  I think we do not need more evidence than the ones we already have. She is coming for us and we should be ready for it. She knows her way around the Prima Donna so..."

"Ayasha, I can feel fear squeeze your throat." -She dropped her head, blonde locks fell on her chest-

"I am afraid, brother-mine. I can admit it. I am afraid she would come and snuff us out of existence like she did the Sumerian Pantheon. I do want to live. So please... Please... I need to know that we're going to win this war." -Ishtar's face softened as he heard his sister's pleas. She must have been genuinely desperate for her to admit how scared she was. He realized that at this moment, he was the only one who could bring her some sort of comfort-

"I promise you that."

He pulled her into a tight hug because he thought that she needed to be held in his powerful arms. Deep down, however, He was extremely angry. Jealousy had eaten him alive, and all he wanted was to find the Sin and kill him for good. He couldn't bare the thought of that abomination fucking his sister. He couldn't bare the thought of her debasing herself with Pride in front of an audience. He had to put an end to it and he was willing to rush things over.

Chronicles of the Primeval Gods: Hope was restored.

Chronicles of the Primeval Gods: Hope was restored.

A/N : How did Ayasha and Ishtar react when Elpis was set free? Well, let's find out. just following our storyline, Babe <3

Xxxxxx

« No... »

Ayasha eyes grew wide and she curled her fingers into fists as she felt the energy signature of her little sister. It couldn't be mistaken with another one, this bright and powerful energy that spread on Earth like wildfire. The golden-skinned goddess ran towards the fountain of Truth in order to see it with her own two emerald eyes. She couldn't breathe and she felt her throat tighten at the thought of Elpis being free. The fountain was glowing, and the brightness almost blinded the goddess of Knowledge who squinted her eyes to be able to see through the mirror. She couldn't see anything for the fountain couldn't locate Elpis, but she saw the impact the awakening of the goddess had on Earth. She saw the hearts and minds of humans change and fill up with Hope. She recognized her sister's essence and it brought her to her knees.

« NO !! NO !!!!! » She held onto the fountain.

Ishtar crossed the front door, alarmed by what he felt too. They had already talked about the possibility of Elpis being set free by the Sin but counted on him being undone by Hades to eventually not care about their sister. It was a long shot but there was a chance that Pride would never want to set Elpis free since he was so hell-bent on destroying gods. They were proven wrong ! Now their sister was alive and her curse was lifted and both Ayasha and Ishtar felt her bloodlust as she manifested herself in this plane of existence. She was coming for them and she wouldn't even need to convince the Sin to fight by her side. Ayasha let an inhuman sound escape from her lips, a mix of a painful cry and an angry roar that pierced through Ishtar's ears. He was silently watching his sister, the words of his fallen brother still ringing in his head. Was Ayasha playing him like a damn feeble? Or was she genuine? Did she orchestrated the fall of their Pantheon and used him as a weapon to eliminate their sister or did she truly believe it was for the good of all Primeval gods? It was hard to tell, espêcially not when he was seeing her react to the awakening of Elpis.

« NO !!! NO! Elpis! » She screamed, her emerald orbs scanning the floor and the fountain. Her mind wasn't back in its place as rage-filled it and she wasn't in control? She grabbed rubble with her bare hands and was ready to throw it at the fountain when a strong hand held her wrist. She gasped and turned her head so she could see her brother's unreadable face. For a minute, she lost her composure and her lips quivered as she knitted her eyebrows. « Ishtar... »

« I know. » Was all he could say. He had never seen his sister like this, enraged beyond reasons, disheveled and with her beautiful green eyes injected with blood. Circumstances could explain her reaction to the awakening. After all, He was supposed to kill Elpis and he didn't. Now, because of this moment of weakness, she was about to bring those Sins to their door. « Ayasha,,. » He whispered as she started to pound her fists against his broad chest. Bless his soul, he wasn't reading her mind, because if he was, he would see a maelstrom of thoughts, and among them, the truth behind her every move. He would see the true face of his sister, the ugly face of Knowledge used for power and selfishness and it would crush his soul because Ishtar would finally realize that Leviathan, the brother he so deeply hated, was right.

« She's coming for us Ishtar... She's coming... » She gathered her thoughts and regained her composure. Ishtar was there and she was going to turn this bad news into something better. « And she's angry. »

« I will face her and those so-called sins. I am not afraid of Hades' creations. Why would I be when I am the All-Father? »

Khaos preceded all those other gods, he preceded Hades and he preceded the Sins. He was a being of extraordinary power and while Ishtar was in no way near his level, he still was a threat. He would have been unrivaled if it wasn't for the sins which had powers that could exceed that of a god. They were able to corrupt their minds, manipulate their emotions and worst of all, they had god-killing weapons...Well, Pride did. Elpis was a threat too, and while he didn't voice his concerns about his estranged sister, Ishtar knew she was a force to reckon with. She destroyed a very strong and ancient pantheon by herself, out of pettiness. What could happen when she was motivated by anger and a thirst for revenge? He dreaded facing her again, seeing her gorgeous face look at him with disappointment and disgust.

« She was supposed to be DEAD! » Ayasha spat at him, her fists stopped pounding against his chest as she tried to remove herself from him. « /None/ of this would have happened if you had done your /mission/! »

« I /failed/you! I know that Ayasha. How many times would I have to apologize for showing compassion to Elpis? »

«Compassion? Compassion? You dare call this compassion? You are in love with her, always have been. Don't you remember calling her name when you were fucking me? » She rubbed salt on his open wound, turning tables on him so he wouldn't even question the fact /she/ sent him on this mission. Her venom worked on him and had Isthar release her wrist and lower his head. She turned on her heels and bared her back at him for dramatic effect and also because she didn't want him to catch up with her true emotions.

« We have to get rid of her before they come to our doors. » He stated, his tone still apologetic to Ayasha, who he thought he hurt. Her emerald eyes scanned the area, the rubbles of the old divination sanctum, where Ayasha would consult the fountain and find out what was happening in any realm or plane of existence. It still retained the peaceful atmosphere that allowed for the goddess to plan everything and an epiphany crossed her mind.

« We might not even have to wait until she comes to our door. She is free and her memory is still anchored to the past. Everything changed, and while Hope filled the heart of humans, they have been living for millennia without it. They would not worship her as they used to...She can't possibly be as strong as she used to be. »

« What about her alliance with the sin? »

Ayasha's face was smiling, happy because she realized she found a way to neutralize her sister. She was still able to stop her before Elpis managed to come to the Elder's realm. What pleasure it would be to actually crush her sister's mind and soul before she crushed her body. The Sin would provide the much-needed help without them having to lift a finger. Pride would disappoint Elpis. He would break her heart and along with it, the desire to get revenge. She would lose everything and along with it, the will to live. How could she survive such betrayals? How could she keep her will to live? She couldn't and Ayasha was counting on it. And her face that was stricken with fear and anger was now smiling. Her eyes found their natural gleam and she turned around to face her brother. She wiped her tears off of her face and walked towards her brother who welcomed her with a tight embrace.

« It is going to break. Pride isn't the same as he used to be and Elpis is going to learn the hard truth. She is going to be disenchanted and you know how our sister can be a little extreme with her emotions. Pride will break her and he can even potentially kill her if she proves to be a nuisance to him. There is no way he would feel the way he did before Hades unmade him. There is no way he can believe he's in love with her, there is no connection anymore, nothing... but dried tears and bittersweet memories. Elpis will break and she will die, alone. »

Ishtar smiled at his sister, now that the blonde goddess finally found her strive back, he wouldn't mess with it. She was smiling and had a plan, which in turn reassured him because his mind was too clouded to eventually think about the situation. The shock was gone and soon, Elpis would be too.

COPG Revenge

Revenge was nothing if the loss was insignificant. The bigger the loss, the more rewarding the revenge. In Elpis' case, Revenge would feel like a rebirth. Long before she was born her path was decided. She would become the sweet love child of Gaea and Khaos. She would become a goddess who would serve and satisfy her family's desires. She was built to serve, comfort, soothe and induce enough willpower into the hearts of the mighty that they would never stop. Hope was meant to keep them powerful, drive their hearts, maintain the faith of their worshippers at all-time highs. She was a tool and nothing else, whether or not her siblings loved her was beside the point. She couldn't choose.

Until she could.

Meeting Pride was akin to setting a bomb off. It destroyed everything. The goddess was set free, from her golden cage. she was liberated from the control forced upon her by her peers and for the first time could choose for herself.

She chose Pride, of course. She chose Love. For the first time since she was born, she felt a true connection with another being. Pride was complicated, he always had been, but she still was able to build something with him. They were strong, they were powerful, they couldn't have been stopped and because their love stroke fears in the heart of her family, they were denied their love. She was cursed and erased from every being's memories and he was unmade and remade. She lost the Sin she was in love with; She lost the life she was promised, the one she so fiercely thought to protect and live. She was betrayed by her siblings, both in the past and millennia later. The allies she had died by the hands of her enemies, Khrön, Sitäa... and the several other siblings she had were all killed by Ishtar and Ayasha. Nothing was left but dust and bones. Nothing was left

But she was reborn. She was back into the mortal realm and she was hell-bent on reclaiming all that was stolen away from her. All... including Pride.

Chronicles of Primeval gods: Elpis: Retaliation

Chronicles of the Primeval Gods: Life of Elpis: Retaliation

A/ N: Elpis musing about killing Ishtar for cursing her. The structure is very similar to the Ishtar solo when he was thinking about getting his revenge.
Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Blood of my blood, the flesh of my flesh, why did you betray me?

Elpis looked at the mirror in front of her. The breach that was on it was the manifestation of the seal's breach. Cracks weren't big enough to shatter the glass so she was still trapped inside the consciousness of her vessel, unable to really communicate with her, let alone communicate with the outside world. She tapped her fingers against the glass and huffed. Her love for Pride might have helped her survive the ordeal of being trapped inside a human vessel, it most certainly was her thirst for revenge that helped her endure the millennia spent alone. If she knew Ayasha was the mastermind behind her attempted destruction by the God of War, it was the fact Ishtar allowed this to happen that broke Elpis' heart. He didn't hesitate when he came to her with the Dagger of Fate in his hand. His mind was made, he would do as Ayasha advised him to, he would stab Elpis with the dagger and would punish her for loving an abomination. For loving Pride.

She curled her fingers into a fist, her breathing became more labored as she was remembered the fateful night that saw her demise. She still remembered when he held her in his arms and cradled her dying body with tears in his eyes and words of guilt in his mouth. He wanted her to spare him, to forgive him for what he just did. He took her away from her beloved, effectively erased her from everybody's memories, including her beloved's. He deprived the world of her presence and allowed humans -she adored- to live without her warm light to guide them, without Hope to motivate them, without any other purpose but to let Fate decide for them. How could she forgive him? She swore to destroy her pantheon as soon as she comes back and she would keep her promise. It was only a matter of time before Pride set her free and she would take the opportunity to destroy her enemies, by herself if Pride didn't care...-Although, he did care.-

Blood of my blood, the flesh of my flesh, why did you deceive me?

She gritted her teeth as the memories were painful to remember, even if she didn't have a full body and was just an essence, it still stung where her heart should have been. With that pain, however, the lust for blood rose and a smile crept on her lips, replacing her pain with a pleasure she wasn't too used to have. Scenes flashed through her mind, moments she dreamed or perhaps, moments that would be. Either way, the clear image of Ishtar's bloody face appeared in her head. She would have her hand wrapped around his throat in order to feel the faint heartbeats of her fallen brother. He would be kneeling before her, defeated, unable to move for she would have her scythe planted in his guts. He would beg her to spare his life, to show him some mercy like he showed some to her. She would consider his words, let her eyes glow from a bright and unkind light that would come from within. Her anger and hatred mixed together and a promise to make it hurt. « You do not deserve my mercy. » She would say, as her hand would squeeze harder, suffocating her brother and forcing him to open his eyes to look at his sister.

« You do not deserve anything. You took everything from me. » She would say slowly, relishing in the fact he wouldn't be able to struggle against her grip. « You decided to punish me for feeling love. You decided to...punish me for not choosing you. I saw it in your mind as I was dying. » She would raise her scythe, preparing herself to behead her sibling. He would manage to say words, improve her forgiveness, try to appeal to their past relationship and how much he cared for her and loved her. Yes, he did. It was love -his twisted love for her- that caused her demise. He refused to let her be with someone else than him. His jealousy towards Pride caused her ordeals and the fact he didn't even stop for a second to think of what he was about to do and stabbed her anyway was enough for her to know he would have gone through the plan if he didn't have feelings for her. But was it mercy? Condemning to an eternity locked inside human people? Forcing her to go through an endless reincarnation cycle? Was it mercy or was it worse than being destroyed for good, but at least remembered by the ones she loved? « You killed everyone I cared about..Sitaa, Khrön..you killed them and you expect me to spare your meaningless life? » She would lift her weapon, feeling a moment of hesitation rush through her veins before resolve took over and she would let it fall onto his neck, effectively beheading him. His blood would splatter on her face and her chest, tainting her clothes and soaking her in his blood.

The flesh of my flesh, Blood of my blood, Why did you make me do this?

She wouldn't stop there. Beheaded or not, she would keep stabbing him, shredding his body until nothing but a pile of guts, flesh, muscles, and blood was left of him. She would scream her anger and anguish. She would destroy the dungeon through a burst of energy and would be left on her knees, crying for the loss of what once was and what could never be. She would run her hand over what was left of her brother and would lean against it, effectively soiling her body. Of course, he would be her first kill, the appetizer and while the first feeling she would have would be guilt, those tears and screams would turn into smiles and laughter as she would conquer her fears. She did it, the first step to the destruction of her pantheon had begun, At this point, of course, he would probably have been betrayed by Ayasha who would steal the title of All-Father and the powers that came with it. Fair enough, it wouldn't mind. All-FAther or not, she would crush them all. And when she would be laughing, oh she would be laughing.

And he would come and stand next to her, offering his hand so she would stand back up. As she would be pulled back onto her feet, he would look at her, put both his hands on her cheeks and stroke them, smearing blood all over her face while his eyes, turned purple, would stare at her. Elpis would tilt her head to the side and run her hands over his suit, effectively smearing blood all over it. He wouldn't say a word but she would feel his pride, the immense joy he would feel after witnessing her take the life of Ishtar. His lips would crash on hers while she would hold onto his costume as tight as she could.

He would do this...

Pride, that is.
