Chronicles of the primeval gods: Life of Elpis: Thunder and Lightning

Chronicles of the primeval gods: Life of Elpis: Thunder and Lightning

A/N : Welp, I have been thinking of them lately :p just a little in between with these two gods having fun.

Vancouver, after a masquerade party, somewhere around 11 pm

Pride despised humans, he wasn't even pretending anymore. They annoyed him, their very existence, their sliminess, their stench.. everything about them annoyed the Sin who would rather have spent the few human months with Elpis, elsewhere. He only endured walking the mortal realm because Elpis was extremely strong here and it was her favorite place. As a magnanimous king, he even offered her Earth once they would deal with her siblings. He wasn't so blind to notice that she seemed to be far more powerful than in the memory he had of her. The sin decided to entertain his queen by taking her to a masquerade party in Vancouver. He knew she enjoyed the music, but he also knew she enjoyed being seen and drawing attention to her. The Sin wouldn't lie, Pride also loved the attention he got when in the presence of mortals. He knew he was perfect and devastatingly attractive to them and he enjoyed seeing humans lose their minds whenever he entered a room.

He soberly wore a black suit with black leather shoes. His mask was a silver one that complimented well his blonde hair and blue eyes. At his arm, Elpis was transcending. She was wearing a white dress with gold trims, her waist was highlighted by a golden belt. Her pink hair was tied on a high ponytail and she was wearing a black laced mask. At her feet, she was wearing golden heels. They enjoyed the time spent at that party, from the curious gazes they received to the waltz they danced, Pride liked to keep his Light by his side. It felt as if there was nothing else in the world after them. There was no primeval god, no direct threat to their little happiness. They danced without a care for the world. Engrossed by the waltz, the goddess of The light didn't notice her powers were leaking, influencing the room as she danced. People were soon enthused, finding more comfort and boldness as they were dancing by their side.

It became a frenzy, something unstoppable and soon enough the whole room was dancing near the deities. Elpis' smile was the brightest Pride ever saw from her. She was relaxed, completely into the moment they were sharing, laughing as she fed off of the worship of the humans near them. At some point, Pride remembered they joked with one another. Given the number of souls gathered at the party and the desire to have a little fun game, Pride teased Elpis about her ability to sway humans and control them. He wanted to challenge her for a little while, see which one of them could influence mortals better. She told him there was a risk of creating chaos, but the Sin didn't mind. When did he ever? He promised to give her a treat should she win and she promised to give him something should he win, basically ensuring that both of them would have a good time no matter who won this little contest. So they played. They waltzed around the huge ballroom, allowing their divine energy to fill the room and reach out to each and every human in the place. Purple and gold energy mixed together, They slowly intoxicated the mortals dancing around them, and should Elpis have paid attention, she would have seen the behavior become more erratic, more violent. People were overwhelmed with emotions, from Greed and Lust that had some of them steal jewelry, make sexual advances to others. Envy and Jealousy triggered Wrath in humans and the dances became more and more violent.

It didn't phase the goddess, for she was used to violence and death. Her brother, Ishtar, was the primeval god of war after all and took her to the battlefields of the mortal realm where she could use her influence on others and encourage soldiers to sacrifice their lives and empower her brother more. She didn't care about the screams, the yells, the groans, and sexual grunts. She didn't care about humans kicking each other in the groin, tearing each other apart, nor did she care about the pieces of flesh, human body fluids and bones fly all over the room. The ballroom became messy with people fucking each other right on the floor, with other raping people at the same place and those killing each other on the spot. The intensity of the violence only fueled both Elpis and Pride and she felt her skin slowly glow brighter and brighter and turning into pure light while he was slowly turning into pure darkness, a purple smoke even as his eyes were glowing brightly and a purple aura had engulfed him. Elpis could see the sparkles where their hands met and could see the sparkles and the fire produced by each of their steps as their energies played off of the other and excited the other. It was powerful, exhilarating to the point of driving her drunk with power.

Their outfits quickly got covered with human blood and filth such as bones and tears. The goddess of Light and Hope didn't care much about her appearance but instead pressed a searing kiss on their lips. Both could feel the sudden new and powerful energy flowing through their veins, the product of their own little game, and combined power. Elpis pressed him against her, laughing in between their kiss as she let her hands run over his chest and back. She didn't mind the blood, it excited her, to be honest. She was so turned on that she would have let him claim her right there, in the middle of the carnage taking place, but instead refrained from going too far. Instead, the goddess kept waltzing with her beloved, enjoying his tight grip on her flesh, enjoying his tantalizing strokes over her sensitive skin and the bites he left on her neck. It took the hand of a mortal, who clutched at her ankle to take her off of her bubble. She stopped moving and glanced at the hand before she realized her own skin had changed as well as her hair. She was pure gold, pure light now. It intrigued her and had Elpis look at the man on the floor, begging for help. She lifted a brow and knelt near him. Her hand ran through his black hair and she soothed him.

« I cannot help you, mortal. It is not my rĂ´le to interfere in your lives. » She said with a grin, consciously choosing not to help him. He was almost dead anyway, what could she do? Revive him? Heal him? Why would she do something like this? Pride lifted a brow, surprised that his beloved didn't help the poor unfortunate soul, but equally satisfied she didn't do it.

« Mortal??? mor.. mortal? What are you talking about? You're just like me... call the police. » He growled and gargled in his blood. Elpis kept stroking his head, way too enthused by her new appearance and the powerful energy that flew through her body.

« I can offer you mercy.. » She stated before she broke his neck for a quick and painless death. « Can you see what's happening here, Superbia? » She asked as she stood up. Pride helped her on her feet and plucked off of her face, some bones and blood so she could see him better.

« We made quite a mess here. » He admitted, wrinkling his nose at the wretched scent that overwhelmed his nostrils. « They ended up killing each other, out of jealousy, envy, wrath, and lust. » He said in a dark chuckle. « I managed to power-up. » He mentioned while waving his hand to extinguish the fire that was ravaging the place. « You manage to glow up. You look like pure light. »

« Indeed. I feel more powerful as well... more connected. I never have been able to feel all those mortal souls before, but I can feel them all... I can faintly hear them too... it never happened before. » She said as she looked at her hands before closing her eyes and walking away from the ballroom. « This is new, Superbia... this could mean.. This could actually be a glimpse of my actual power. » She said as she turned to look at him. This could be what I have been looking for, a way to surpass my siblings, a way to be a good ally... a way to truly support you in your ambition beloved. I have power...I am power. » She said, while she yanked her head back and outstretched her arms from each side of her body. « And I am yours. »

« Mine. » He repeated, coming closer to her and holding her in his arms once again. The sin grabbed her neck and pressed his lips to hers, forcing a hard kiss on her lips, almost bruising the goddess. « And mine alone. » He insisted before he snapped his fingers and took them back to their hotel room. The night was young and interesting and he wanted to make it last longer.

Pride and Elpis: Darling, you're different

He wasn't like the others, gods draped with their own pride and selfish desires. They always had narrow minds and small goals. They always were predictable, boring and of little interest. He was different and I couldn't tell why at first. It took me a little bit of time to figure it out and even then, I was confused.

You see, Pride is something else, something overwhelming and powerful. His eyes would search your soul and force you to come clean to him. it will force you to reveal your true nature, it will force you to embrace your darkness. Maybe that was why I fell in love with him. He expected me to be true to myself rather than the goddess they moulded me to be and in order to please him, I became me. I removed the layers of extra skin, the fake goddess shaped by my peers to finally be myself and that was why I wanted him. With Pride there was no more game, there was only the Truth. There was only him.

I fell in love with Pride because he was different. He didn't want me to be like he wished me to be, he wanted me to be true to myself and before him -and after him- no other suitor had wanted it. Nobody but him wanted the real me. How could I not fall in love?

Pride and Asma: If only we could talk

I sometimes wish I could be in touch with the goddess who is trapped inside of me.
I have always wanted to know who Elpis truly was and why Pride was hell-bent on taking her back.
I got it, she was the goddess of Light and Hope. No mortal could ever compare to her.
She made him feel things he never felt before. A sense of being complete and whole, I understand.
After all, he was the son of Hades. He was a prince without a realm, a king without a crown.
And he was certainly known for being a monster, or a lethal weapon depending on who you asked.
She was the first to see him as more than that, as more than just evil for the sake of evil or a pawn.
She saw him for who he truly was and I envied the goddess as well as being grateful she did.

Sure, the Pride she used to know wasn't there anymore. He lived his life as if he'd never met her.
He was colder than she could remember, worse maybe than she could ever think of and yet.. yet...
Something changed when he met me. Something changed when he remembered her.
Memories of a life that was denied to him resurfaced,
spending time with me awoke feelings he never felt
Something was different from the day he set his eyes on me and our destinies entwined. He was new
He was different, I couldn't really point out what had changed but I knew he wasn't the same.
From monster to a sentient being, he had changed before my eyes. I didn't see the monster in him
He behaved with me in ways he wouldn't have if it wasn't for me, or maybe was it because I was her?

I couldn't tell

How much his behavior had to do with my uncanny resemblance to her. I couldn't tell.
I didn't actually want to know because part of me believe that my feelings were my own.
Yes, I fell in love with a monster but a monster to me he was never, a man he wasn't either.
To me, it was confusing because he presented himself as such so I applied our concepts to him.
Love, compassion, pity, desire... I wanted him to understand the way I felt for him, I forced it on him.
But he always reminded me that he wasn't a /man/ He wasn't of my kind, he was beyond humanity.
At times I could see it when he let a tiny fraction of his anger sparkle in front of him
And I realized that he wasn't meant to share my life, he was far more formidable for a mere mortal.

He was meant for a goddess, a goddess like her.

How I wish we could have talked her and me! I wish we could have told stories about that Sin.
I would have told her how much he meant to me and how sad I felt for having to forget him.
It would end up to be a fairytale or a dream, or just simply the idea he never existed in the first place.
He would become a fog in my brain, a distant dream that I couldn't remember, so I hope for a feeling.
At least if I had a sensation that could summarize all we've been through, some sort of awe...
At least if I could still paint his grandiose adventures, his epic battles against his siblings...
My life would have a meaning I am not sure I could give if he erases himself from my memory
Or maybe I'm just delusional, like a lover being left behind because the love is over but they fight still

I wish we could talk, Elpis and I, so I would see with my very eyes how come he fell in love with her.
I want to know if beyond the light and the charm there is something deeper that connects them.
Who am I kidding? Of course, there is. She sent me dreams for weeks, of just the two of them.
So I know. Don't I? I know why he was so attached to her and why she was so fond of him.
The yin and the yang of the universe, The New Hades and the New Persephone... That was them.
She loved him with the purest and most powerful form of love that could possibly exist between souls
The one that despite knowing who he really was, she dived head first into the chaos that was love.
The one that despite knowing who he really was, she refused to give up on him and resisted threats
She sacrificed herself for their love, believed that it was strong enough for him to find her again

It was that kind of love that had no limits, no boundaries, no expiration date and I was in awe
She struggled for millennia, fighting on her own a battle she wasn't even sure to win but she promised
She promised to find him again and make it possible for the two of them to reunite so she held on.
She fought like a beast to breach the veil and make him remember her and it affected the world too.
The world remembered Hope, the gods and sins remembered it as well and I carried it
That was my mission. That was my purpose. To carry safely Hope until I could release it.
In a way, it was a beautiful purpose I had, one of epic proportion: Birthing Hope into this World
How poetic! How tragic as well because I would never be able to talk to her and tell her these words

"I beg of you sweet daughter of Gaea, never let your love for our Pride falter and vanish."

I could have said more but this actually was all I could say.
Pride thought he didn't need to be loved but only to be feared.
I knew this was a lie he kept telling to himself because he remembered how it felt to be loved by her
He came to take her back, he came to feel this love for him back.
He remembered and I wanted her to keep giving him her love for he needed it.
And because I would stop loving him the minute he would erase my memory of him.
And I couldn't stomach the idea of him being alone again for centuries or millennia.
I believe I prepared him for her return, but I urged her not to give up on loving him

Even if he's different
Even if he's the worst version of himself
Even if their bond was altered to the point only a thin thread survived the ordeal.

If only we could talk, Elpis and I, I would tell her all of this and so much more
But we can't.
I can only hope she understands how I am feeling right now.
I can only hope.

pride and Asma: the Oath

I am the light to your darkness.
I used to be.

you might have forgotten about me for millennia but it truly is my willpower and my love for you that made me resist all this time.
It is my love for you that drives me.

I know you have forgotten about me, at least up until you remembered and I am aware that you can't feel the way you did.

I long for the day I could be free from my human flesh prison. I long for the day I could hold your hand but more importantly, I long for the day I could get my revenge on my siblings.

I remember a past that is no more, feels so real and vivid that they're hurting millennia after.
I can't undo what they did but I can surely make them pay for it. I will slay all of them, save for mother Gaea to keep a balance on Earth. I will kill each and every remaining god that is standing in our way and bathe in their blood.

In the past, you used to refuse to let me give too much into my anger and turn into the primeval goddess of despair but I want nothing more but to avenge both of us.

They try to suffocate my light,
Strangle it until there was nothing left of it.
They stole you from me, they stole our future.
As much as your own siblings trying to kill you.
I won't allow it Superbia. I won't allow your death.

I will restore Hope in this world that had been led by Fate for far too long.

I will find you again.

I will find you always

Pride and Asma : Sinful dreams

A/N: I do love writing about these two:) <3 <3 always working further on their backstory and this one is filled with information. I can't wait to have basic human!Asma adjusts to being some reincarnation and what it truly implies for her. So far, she doesn't know anything but you know my love for tragedy <3

Asma belongs to me
Pride belongs to my friend <3

xxx xxx xxx

She had dreams she wouldn't tell him but he already knew about them. It wasn't too difficult to figure out why she wouldn't want to share these. How could you tell someone you've just met that you dreamed of them in intimate situations? How would you tell them that you heard their groans, felt their hands roam over your body and their comforting weight over yourself? How would you tell them about the kisses and nibbles and the delightful sensation of being one? You've never heard of them before, only saw them in your dreams. That was the situation Asma was in. She couldn't tell a word to the SIN, although her entire being was burning with a fever she barely understood. It wasn't hers. She didn't feel this intense craving for the joy of flesh before her awakening but ever since he appeared to her, it was almost seeping into her whole being. The craving of his touch, the yearning of an embrace. It embarrassed her and she quickly ignored her turmoil to focus on more important matters.

If he'd known, he wouldn't judge her. Actually, he shared the same dreams, the same memories. He would remember her soothing presence in his private quarters. The soft voice of hers reaching out to him and tearing him off of his grim duties. He would feel her warmth radiate from her and would automatically be drawn to it, to the point that it happened he requested her not to visit him in the underworld so he could complete his duty. He remembered her laughter and if anything, he was missing it the most. Days in the underworld were dull and grey but the moment she appeared, the moment he forgot about everything. It felt strange to be so connected to someone, even more so that this special someone belonged to an arch-nemesis race of gods. Pride contemplated her current meatsuit. If it wasn't for the lack of body markings, the fact she was very small compared to their real forms, the fact she was even more demure and collected than his lover intrigued him but also made him miss Elpis even more. His beloved was unique! She was so close and yet unreachable.

He would remember the day she acknowledged her feelings for him. Elpis was a very passionate woman who rarely waited for the good opportunity to say things or experience them. Her growing feelings for an entity that was supposed to be an enemy were bothering her at first. What should she do? Ayasha and Ishtar could certainly never know about her feelings but it was the least of her issues. The Seven SINS were infamously known among the primeval and new gods as Godslayers. Their magic was a powerful one, able to rival their own and the very entity that created them, HADES. He was also infamously known for seeking revenge and destruction over his peers. So, they weren't welcome and the gods tried their best to come up together with a plan to destroy them. Earth was chosen to be a neutral field, where both gods and the SINS would influence the fragile creatures that inhabited it: HUMANS. Gods would shape them, breathe life into them and into their surroundings but the SINS were free to influence them. The pink haired goddess of Hope, who was the daughter of the Elder gods of Life and Death, very often visited the place. She enjoyed the flora and fauna but was even more curious about these humans and their cultures. She would walk the Earth in order to bask in the glory of human creations and would very often stop by forests and other natural landscapes to rest and observe the work of her mother. They met by accident. One day she fell asleep in the forest and woke up to him, standing next to her and studying her.

They came a long way from this very first time seeing one another and guilt filled her heart as well as doubt. Pride wasn't exactly very open about his feelings. He barely acknowledged these unless they translated perfectly his annoyance or anger towards any other creatures. Joy, Love and any similar feeling were hidden deep down of his core and she was wondering if he ever felt them. The SIN tolerated her presence next to him, or so she thought. He accepted to listen to her and her findings of the world of men. He would always indulge in watching her dance or sing or create light shows with her magic but she never saw him smile and they never discussed their relationship. What could there be, except for them to simply study one another?

They often went on adventures in the Old World. The former dimension where gods originated from that was destroyed with the birth of the Seven SINS. There, she would take him to ruins of her pantheon and tell him about her life there before he was born and he would listen dutifully, almost religiously as she explained how things were before he existed. One day, they were attacked by echoes -remnants of the past, infected by the SINS negative essence and fatal for her- and he saved her, which prompted her to kiss him. There was the beginning of their relationship. They grew even closer, without any of them realizing that they needed one another. Joys of flesh were a bonus, although he didn't really grasp how important this was to her given the fact he was her first and only lover by choice. He had partners before her and even during their time together until he realized that he didn't want to have many because he only wanted one: Elpis.

Pride would never quite know how she worked up the courage to come to him and confront him about their relationship but she did. One day he was in their special spot on Earth where no humans would ever be, she teleported and started to throw a tantrum. She would scream about how nonsensical their relationship was, about how doomed she was if she couldn't think of having another mate, a more acceptable mate she could introduce to her family. He watched her pace fast around him and suddenly, he felt it. The jealousy of seeing her with another entity. It struck him like lightning but still, he kept his composure and said no words. She realized he was upset, noticed the slight change in his eyes and decided to keep talking half in order to provoke him and also, half because she was scared of the outcome of such a relationship. She mentioned how forbidden their relationship was and how her family would try to kill him if they knew.

She pointed out the fact his siblings didn't seem to care but for her, it was just because they thought it wasn't serious. She even told him how hurt she felt when Lust informed her that he was having affairs after affairs while they were together.  Pride felt anger cross his mind and surprisingly, he wasn't angry at Lust for telling Elpis, he was angry at him for causing Elpis such troubles and the more he thought about it, the more his eyes glowed an intense shade of blue. She kept spitting her words, telling the SIN that he actually never cared about her feelings and can't care about them because he has none. That he's just using her for entertainment since he cheated on her with so many other entities. She blamed herself for being blinded by her own feelings for him and not seeing that he was unable to return them and there again, talked about how better it would be if she simply found a suitor her family would approve of. One she would accept in her heart and in her bed. Her voice broke and his heart along with his patience too.

He grabbed her shoulders and started to shake them, uttering his refusal to see her with another than him. Shocked and confused, the goddess looked at the SIN and shook her head, sneering at him at « how possessive » he suddenly was and that she didn't need someone to tell her what she could or couldn't do since he didn't care about her at all. Elpis then put her hand over his chest and quietly told him that he should simply let her go and she would leave him be and that if falling in love with him was a mistake, it was one she was glad to have made. She admitted it loud and clear without an ounce of regret and this shook him even more. He was so used to being rejected because of what he was, or used for what he was, that he cruelly missed the point of Elpis affections. She never had a hidden agenda with him and genuinely cared about the SIN. He realized that even in the throes of passion, she was being true to herself.

« It should end quickly and nicely Pride. I do know you do not share my feelings and it is okay. »

« It is not. You are crying because of me. » He pointed out, but she shook her head and cleaned the few tears that escaped from her eyes.

« It is okay. We can't fight who we are. I am a primeval goddess and you are a SIN. What was I thinking when I fell for you? You are to be my enemy and we are to fight one another someday during a war I wouldn't want. We are doomed either way...so it is very welcome if you don't love me back so you wouldn't be in pain if we were to battle. I would be easily resolved to fighting you.. if we were to battle. » She sounded detached for the very moment, and Pride noticed that she was lying to herself and to him. Torn at the sight of his beloved being tormented by her emotions, he grabbed her hand and pulled her into a tight embrace.

« Fear not, beloved. Fear not because your feelings are returned. It took me a while to realize I was experiencing love. It took me too long to open my eyes. It took you to come before me with a broken heart and resignation. » Still shocked that he actually acknowledged his feelings, the goddess of Hope grabbed his clothes and shook her head.

« You could have talked to me about it. I would have helped you through this. Pride, I know you don't experience things the way I do. I know we are different from one another.. but I am willing to walk half-way if you meet me there too. Together we can understand each other. Together we can learn from one another and grow. I... feel relieved you do feel the same. » She added while streams of tears were covering her delicate face. He stroked it and petted her hair, she styled in a pink afro.

« I am now.. I will walk all the way with you, hand in hand beloved. We are different and our relationship is unique. All I know is that I can't and won't accept a world without you. »

« What about our families? The SINS would never accept me because they think I am changing you. »

« I will deal with them. » He said with resolve in his voice.

« What about my family? They will hunt you down... I-I won't let it happen. » Her voice faltered and he tightened his embrace.

« Let them come. I will show them why I am the most fearsome of the seven SINS. »

« I.. I hope we won't have to come to such an extreme but I will always be by your side beloved. »

« So will I, beloved. » He replied to her.

He would always remember the day she claimed her feelings for him but he would never forget the nights of passion they shared either. He felt the craving for her supple flesh, for her muffled moans and the warmth and slickness of her inner walls. He felt the need to grab her hair and pull it, of sinking his fingers into the flesh of her plump bottom and make her arch her back in response. His bed felt empty, her scent was gone after millennia without her presence and all that was of her was her meatsuit he luckily found before she died. He would never tell her about those memories unless she brought them in a conversation, not because he was ashamed, but because he was extremely possessive of these and refused that anyone, not even her reincarnation, had access to these. Yet, he knew she had those dreams and given how curious she seemed to be, she would ask about it one way or the other and he would delight himself in watching her embarrassed reactions to the voluptuous and rich intimacy that linked him to the goddess trapped within her.

Pride x Asma lore : She found him !

A/N: As usual, I've been working a bit on our lore <3 introducing a bunch of new characters and added a little bit of backstory for our lovebirds. Hopefully, you will also like this one my dear <3 <3 <3

these characters belong to me, don't use them/steal. Pride belongs to my friend <3
xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

She found him. Her heart was in raptures because she found the man who haunted her dreams. Something awoke inside of her and she wasn't able to actually know what that was. Her eyes were wide open, her skin was covered with goosebumps and the hair on her arms was electric. She knew his face, dreamed of it for as long as she could remember and that feeling of contempt and joy that washed over her almost felt surreal. It didn't belong to her, it wasn't /her/ emotions. Yet, how could she explain it to someone else? How could she express herself and have them understand that it felt like a thousand years old reunion? Her hazel eyes were staring at him, who was standing in front of her seemingly unbothered by the cold weather.

« I have been looking for you for so long. I kept seeing you in my dreams and I didn't know if you were real or just a dream... but now... but now that you are in front of me, I realize that I don't know you. My heart can recognize you but my mind doesn't. I've never met you before.. am I crazy? »

No. She wasn't crazy. Her soul was still sealed within this human body and unable to escape from the eternal curse that was cast on her. It would take some time, more memories of their lives together before eventually, her feelings for him brought her back onto this plane of existence. But her divine heartbeat and it was heard miles away to another plane of existence, in the realm of the elder gods.

Ayasha « The watcher » was staring at the ruins of the golden fountain where one could have a look at any other worlds or planes of existence. She very often came near the fountain to catch a glimpse of her sister's current life and make sure the cycle of reincarnation wasn't broken. Her skin was made of gold and her eyes were bright and green with a green sclera. Her head was bald but she wore ornamental crowns made of diamonds and gold. Her upper half was left naked but decorated with a river of pearl necklaces and around her waist was attached a white cotton skirt, folded in the Egyptian fashion. She was sitting near the fountain when she heard the heartbeat. It happened only once but the noise was so loud that it made the realm of the elder gods shake for a minute. Her eyes grew wide and she stood up, alarmed that maybe her beloved sister woke up from her slumber so she searched for her soul, only to be unable to find it due to Pride's essence that was cloaking everything around him and hid him from the mirror. Panicked, Ayasha started to bit at her bottom lip. What was she going to do? Did the others feel it too?

She didn't have to wait too long for a lightning bolt to strike near her and her brother Ishtar « The Executioner. » to appear from it. He was tall, with a skin as dark as the night, peppered with white dots that made him look like a starry night. He had a long grey mane that was braided up to his waist. His eyes were blue with a white sclera and in his hand was a humongous ax he kept carrying along. He was wearing tight black pants with white patterns around the belt. He was the one who stabbed Elpis, the elder goddess of hope the minute he was aware of her romance with an original sin. He tried to talk her out of it, but she was deeply involved with that filth. She tried to appeal to his mercy and convince him that Pride and the rest of the sins weren't as bad as legends wanted to make them but he didn't listen. They had the power to destroy gods and quite succeeded with the Olympians and he didn't want her to bring a potential murderer into their house. The idea of it made him nauseous so when she told him she was expecting her first child, he lost his mind. He destroyed the abomination and stabbed his sister with the Blade of Destiny, the only weapon able to kill an elder god and forged by their all-fathers arch enemy I'krann « the cursed one. ». He cast a spell on it so she would be trapped within a human body and forced to reincarnate for eternity but that heartbeat brought him near Ayasha. She was starting to break the cycle.

« Did you hear brother? » Ayasha spoke with a worried tone. He nodded and looked into the broken fountain. « Do you think she would come to us? She might turn into the goddess of Despair.. she might want to avenge herself. »

« Don't fret little sister. She hasn't broken her chains as of now. We still have time ahead of us. »

« Time?  What for? » Ayasha furrowed her brows and put her hand on his shoulder. He was tensed, she could feel it.

« I can't seem to find her! There's only one reason that could prevent me from seeing her. Did she find him? » Ayasha swallowed a lump and took a few steps back. « ANSWER ME !! » He yelled!

« She.. she just has. She just has. That's why we heard her heartbeat... I'm scared. What we did was wr--- »

« Don't you say it. I did what I had to do to protect our kind. She's the one who fell in love with that filth. NOW, if he's around we have to make sure they don't get back together. We have to make sure she doesn't remember him. We could also very easily kill her in this lifetime and have her start all over again. Her soul is immortal as long as we don't use the Blade of Destiny. Ayasha... »

« yes, Ishtar? » He curled his hands into fists and looked at her.

« I have to return to our remaining brothers and sisters. We still have an ongoing war and very little of us remain. Make sure she doesn't remember him. Don't fail us. »

« I won't. I promise. » He kissed her forehead and turned into a lightning bolt that went away. Ayasha looked at the fountain and sighed deeply. Part of her wanted Asma to finally be happy and at peace but she was too afraid of her wrath to let her go. She would make sure, her human envelop die before she could remember everything. She moved her hand over the fountain and summoned creatures of the darkness to go on Earth and possess four men who were specialists in assassinations with only one target in mind: Asma Jensen.
