Desperate times call for desperate measures. Ayasha is struggling
with what she has to do next.

After
a moment of panic, the goddess of knowledge finally found her saving
grace. The human host that looked just like her sister would be her
way out of a complicated situation. It was proven that the Sin cared
for her, he cared so much that he stole the dagger of fate so he
could set Elpis free without killing her host. It wasn't that much of
a stretch, to imagine that the sin actually formed a bond with the
human and cared more for her than he ever did with Elpis. He had been
unmade, so their connection was severed, lost, sent to oblivion. Her
goal was clear, find the human and kill her. She wanted Elpis to
witness her beloved's love for the human and to have her jealousy
force the sin to kill her. Pride would do the dirty job and would rid
Ayasha of her sister; She would then find a way to lock him
down and get rid of that threat. The idea gained more and more of her
favor and the tears that nearly formed in her eyes dried off and
were replaced with a smile. She would have to kill the human, but it
couldn't be done in a haste.
She
had to carefully plan her attack in order for her to destroy her
enemies. She had to wait until they would leave the Underworld and go
back to the mortal realm before she could attack. Waiting had never
been an issue for the meticulous goddess. However, she was running
out of time considering Ishtar was distancing himself from her.
Leviathan's last words truly did a number on her brother. Typical of
that troublemaker. He hated Ayasha when he was alive and he managed
to make her pay for her wisdom and capability. It wasn't her fault if
the faulty late god had never been able to carefully plan something.
It wasn't her fault if he never was able to take power and sit on
that throne. It was his Fate. To die by the hand of the Sin, to clear
the path for her to rule... no.. to make it harder for her to rule so
she would have to become even better at this game.
Ishtar
was just a matter of time. He was angry, confused, upset and very
aware of what was happening around him. She knew that once their
sister died, he would return to being the obedient instrument she was
using to rule the world. Ayasha welcomed the challenge. After all, she was a masterful deceiver and would be able to manipulate her
brother again and use him to conquer the universe. She was the
superior goddess, the future Regina and nothing would stop her now.
It should have calmed her down and for a brief moment, it did.
Unfortunately, her peace of mind was disturbed by the very face of
her little sister. Elpis was alive, she was set free from her curse
and she was furious. It was an incredible risk Ayasah was taking by
allowing her to go to the mortal realm. Elpis, if she truly knew her
potential, would become extremely powerful at their contact,
something Ayasha couldn't risk. She knew that their little « Light »
was actually as powerful as Gaea and could potentially become the new
All-mother if she was truly aware of her potential.
She
could never let this happen. Elpis couldn't become this powerful and
the Sin couldn't possibly come to their shores. If both of them -or
even just Pride- reached the primeval gods' realm, There was a good
chance he would defeat them like he did Leviathan. He had a weapon
capable of slaying gods. He had a weapon that surely empowered him
the more he defeated enemies. There was a chance, that at this very
moment, Pride was having a force that matched the All-father of all
creation. Ishtar might not be invincible, despite all the power he
had and just the thought was enough to make her shake. What was this
feeling she couldn't shake off? Was it what humans called
fear? The blonde goddess clenched her fists and looked at her
reflection on the mirror. She couldn't be afraid.
She
couldn't accept the taint of fear in her heart when she spent almost
all of her life being fearless! How could her little sister
bring her to her knees without even being in the same room as hers?
How could she make Ayasha question her strategy when she was still
recovering in the Underworld? For the first time in her life,
Ayasha realized she could lose and she could die. Her own mortality
was something she never considered until Leviathan was killed.
Somehow, she realized that her ambition could drive her to her grave
if she wasn't careful. The black butterfly that visited her prior to
her brother's demise could very well visit her again and it was
something she didn't want.
It
was something that would never happen.
