Personality:
Nana is very clever. She's also determined and stubborn and would stop at nothing to save a patient, even if that means risking her own health to get to that point. She is a brilliant physician whose fast-thinking saved plenty of dire situations. She is direct, outspoken, and does not hesitate to heatbutt her way towards the truth if needs there is. She is not cynical despite the decades of abuse she suffered in the foster system and the trauma from the home invasion that slaughtered her family. Instead, it gave her a relentless drive to save lives, sometimes putting her at odds with hierarchy and hospital politics.
Nana is a very guarded woman when it comes to her emotional scars. She only communicates with those she is close to ( like Robbie, Dana, Heather and Frank), and only they know about the way her biological family died and why she is extremely sensitive when she receives patients from both the foster care and who are orphans. The nurses respect her and casually joke about her nonexistent love life. The other doctors appreciate her but dread when she is not in a good mood, or they make an enemy out of her. The students are afraid of her - as in they don't want to be on her naughty list -. She respects her colleagues, students and nurses, but if one crosses her, she shows no mercy. She will remain professional and work with them, but will make the whole time miserable for both.
She is a good listener, brave, and easily admires new things she encounters. She can also be very sarcastic and thrives in banters with Jack Landon, Dana and Robbie. Because of her traumatic childhood, she also plasters a lot of fake smiles because she refuses to look back and truly face her emotions. Fictional Character Biography:
Nana's life had a beautiful start, cut short way too early. Born to loving parents and with a lovely big sister, Nana spent the first 6 years of her life basking in love. She was a very happy little girl, fearless and curious about life. Unfortunately, a few days after her 6th birthday, robbers invaded their home. She hid in a cabinet inside her bedroom while robbers attacked, tied up and killed her parents and sister before setting fire to the house to destroy the evidence. Rescued by firefighters and police officers, Nana was then placed in foster homes. She survived countless horrors in the system and went from abusive homes to abusive homes until she was finally welcomed by the McLanes. They adopted her when she was 16, and they supported her in everything she needed. They helped her heal and feel safe. They helped her achieve her goals, and she successfully became an Emergency physician.
Nana's current life is what she considers stable and good. She has loving parents, has a career she loves and is devoted to. She did not let romance into her life because she does not trust men (except for her dad, Landon and Robbie); however, she realised that she fell in love with Michael Robinavitch and was confused about what to do with it. She knows how complicated things are with Robbie and does not know if her feelings would be welcomed positively. Everyone notices the growing sexual tension between the two of them, to the point that Dana teases them every single time they come to talk to her.
Current history:
The story starts after Robbie and Nana have sex in the restroom. After a year of longing and tension, they finally gave in to their feelings. It made Robbie realise that he fell in love with Nana, and it reinforced Nana's feelings for him as well. Yet, not ready to face those emotions and the surprised confession of love during their sexual encounter, they agreed to keep it casual and cool. It's obviously not working because the two of them are drawn to each other. Would they be able to build a safe and stable relationship? Time will tell.
