Drifters OP Full - Gospel of the Throttle

I LOVE BOTH THE ANIME AND THAT INTRO SONG. I really cannot do without :p newest obsession!

COPG: You and me

Pride, do you want to know a secret? Do you want to know how I was able to hang on over the millennia? It wasn't so much the plots of revenge I had in mind that kept me going. These were easy, anger was easy to give into most of the time but you know how much it takes to remain angry. I just simply couldn't be all the time at the peak of my anger. I needed a few breaks and I needed something more, something different. Love.

I know what you would say. You don't care about love. At least, this version of you doesn't know about it. I understand and it makes me angry because you've been robbed off of how it feels when someone loves you. You've been robbed of how it feels when you become someone else's world and when they become yours. Self-sacrifice, dedication but most importantly fusion. You were part of my world, Pride. You were my everything. I can still remember how I felt when I realized I had feelings for you. My skin was covered in goosebumps, my heart was pounding into my ribcage, my eyes were sparkling with joy and excitement to see you.

I was looking forward to our next meeting. It would feel like the very first time I have met you. I would be intrigued and observant. I know you, your essence but never had to witness you live without my influence. I never saw you fully embrace the darkness because I was, your words not mine, your beacon of light. I brought Light into your darkness as much as you brought Darkness into my light. I kept this darkness within me, it sustained me and kept me sane. Every day I would be plotting about those who betrayed me and I would imagine the various ways I could use to destroy them and it was fun.

Yes, it was! It kept me entertained but it didn't drive me. You did. My Love for you did. I was longing for your touch, your tight embrace of my frame. I was longing for your voice to my ears, of your fingers through my hair. I was longing for you. I couldn't do without your possessive gaze when you didn't want any of my siblings or suitors to take me away. I couldn't do without the gaze that set upon me when we were walking the Earth and you let me marvel at humanity and at the beauty of this world's fauna and flora. You let me guide you and show you beauty where you would not have seen it.

I remembered us, as we used to be and now that I can almost feel my release coming, I am longing for our reunion. We can't recover what we've lost. I came to terms with that. We can't be who we used to be. I know that my Light is still intact, still existing somewhere inside of me but so does my anger. I am angry but I don't want to always be. I need you Pride. I need you more than ever because you are my future. You are my everything. It's going to be only you and me. You and me.

COPG (chronicles of the primeval gods) : The Chess game -plot summary-

The plan was set in motion, enemies were preparing for the next grand battle.
It already started millennia ago, when the firstborn son, Isthar, stabbed Elpis the latest child.
He cursed her for a never-ending reincarnation cycle into human bodies, forgotten by her own kind
In doing so because she was in love with a sin, he started a war among his people.
The god of war, advised by his sister the goddess of Knowledge, won the civil war.
He killed the All-Father became the new one and ruled with an iron fist the remaining gods.
He faced rebellion and entered a millennia-long war against it.

Millennia later, Elpis who never gave up the fight finally found a way to breach the seal.
In doing so, it brought her back into the memory of every living soul that knew her, including Pride.
This sudden change of situation messed with the plans of the primeval gods, especially Isthar.
Every god who pledged allegiance to the new All-Father suddenly remembered why they fought.
So Isthar and Ayasha decided to send assassins to kill her current vessel and reset her curse.
But Pride found her first and took the human vessel under his protection. He would set Elpis free
His mere presence alone was a thorn in Ayasha's foot. A thorn she would get rid of.

Pride's goal was simple. He would set Elpis free and avenge him for what the primeval gods did.
So he protected the vessel of the goddess of Hope for two full human years, from his enemies.
And he had many of them: Primeval gods who thought he was an abomination to his siblings.
He killed Hades and crowned himself the ruler of the Underworld but made enemies in his wake
Only Lust was loyal to him, helping him in his fight against his siblings, the other 5 sins.
So they should never know where the human vessel was kept at, they would never attack her.
Same with the Primeval gods, they never knew where Pride hid Asma so she wasn't hurt.

Problems arrived, however. The human fell in love with the Sin despite his best efforts not to let her.
Maybe it was genuine, maybe she was influenced by the goddess inside of her, maybe it was him.
It wasn't quite clear but it certainly complicated everything. They became intimate with one another.
Somehow, she did lose her mind over him, grew dependent to the point she couldn't function alone.
His essence influenced her, made her take risks like leaving the house and endangering herself.
Of course, it nearly cost her live for she met Envy who messed up with her mind.
But on the other side, she also met Khrön who informed her about the Dagger of Fate.

Suddenly there was a solution, a potential non-lethal way to set Elpis free! They needed that dagger
Khrön, Elpis older brother and Messenger of Gods, was found by Ayasha who eliminated him.
But it was too late, the message got out, Elpis knew a way out and she would use it, Ayasha knew it.
If it wasn't enough that one Primeval God decided to betray them, a second one just did that.
Sitaa the goddess of Love exiled on Earth and gave Elpis bracelets to Pride through a minion.
She would have fought on his side if Ayasha didn't track her down and killed her without mercy.
She later used both Khrön and Sitäa's deaths as props to further her agenda and manipulate Ishtar.

Her ambition evolved over time. She went from wanting to be the best child to be the absolute ruler.
She realized that she would never be her parents favorite because of Elpis, the adored last child.
She knew that the only way for her to get on top would be to be on top of gods, men, and monsters.
So despite not knowing when Elpis fell in love with the sin Pride, she took advantage of it.
Her sultry voice manipulated Isthar into killing Elpis but he couldn't do it so cursed her instead.
Her hand guided him into war against those who opposed him, her handmade him kill Khaos.
She gave Leviathan the Dagger of Fate, knowing full well that Pride would want to take it back.

Everything was in motion, she was one step closer to her goal which was complete domination.
Leviathan would get rid of Elpis and Pride at the same time and eventually of the rest of the sins.
Leviathan would not be difficult to destroy if she knew how to play her cards well, and she did!
With the Sins gone, Elpis was gone and Leviathan gone she would make Isthar destroy her pantheon.
She would make sure no other gods would stand in her way.
She would rule alone.
She would win the game.

But she wasn't the only one playing. Pride had his own agenda he wanted to push forward.
He would get rid of his siblings, save for Lust who had proven to be more useful than not.
He planned on ruling on his own but with the presence of the goddess of Hope things would change
He didn't know how just yet, but she used to be very important to him in the past, his queen.
And maybe with time, as the two of them would learn to know one another again, he would change
He would care again, he would give her what she would need the most: her revenge.
For he promised he would find her, he promised he would avenge her and he would keep his word

Elpis was not playing the game just yet but she would be ready when she's out of her vessel.
She would lay waste to her enemies, destroy Ishtar and Ayasha for the lives they took and ruined.
She would come after her mother who cowardly chose to remain neutral and abandoned her own.
She would want blood and blood she would get by her own means or with Pride's help.
And once her thirst for blood would be quenched, the goddess would need life to prosper.
She had no ill-intent on mankind if anything she'd protect her mother's creation
Even if that meant going against her beloved or trying to convince him not to destroy Mankind.

She would rule with him with love, poise, and wisdom.
She would rule with him with an iron fist in a velvet glove.
She would rule with him.

Chronicles of the Primeval Gods: Life of Elpis: I resent you, Mother.

A/N: While Gaea keeps on convincing herself that she did the right thing by not intervening in the war that destroyed the primeval Gods pantheon, Elpis has none of it with her mother. Ishtar, Leviathan, and Ayasha are counting on the fact their mother wouldn't intervene to persecute and destroy Elpis. Elpis has another idea in mind. She does plan on getting her revenge on everyone, including her own mother.

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I resent you, Mother, I resent you for not being there for me when I most needed you.
I resent you for giving up on me the minute you heard I was in love with a sin.
I resent you for not mourning the deaths of my beloved brother and sister.
You knew they were in danger the minute they decided to help me protect my vessel.
You knew they would not last long with Ayasha, Leviathan, and Ishtar after them.
And you let them die.

I resent you, Mother, I resent you for playing the neutrality card and remove yourself from conflict.
You are a coward, plain and simple. You are a coward who ran away when Father was killed.
You have the power to undo life, to take back what you gave, to end this mess we're in.
And yet you chose to do nothing. You chose to ignore everything and you ran away to Earth
I resent you mother, I resent you for turning your back on your own children.
I resent you for choosing mankind over your own kind.

I promise you that once I am reborn on Earth and when Leviathan and my siblings would die
I would come for you. I would confront you about your lack of compassion and strength.
I would come for you and you will pay for the deaths you should have prevented from happening.
All the children you lost to a war that should never have been, all the tears and cries I still hear
You will pay for everything, yes, you will feel my wrath, my anger, my pain, my rage, and disgust

You will feel...

DOYA : A taste of « normalcy »

A/N: And a little action scene. A rescue mission turned into a survival one. However, it did give Oya and Dean a taste of how their lives would have been if they were « normal » people.

Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

« Mommy? Are we going to die? »

Oya heard the little girl ask her mother, Leda, as the two hugged each other. Of course, the mother reassured her daughter and told her that everything would be alright but neither she or Dean or Oya knew for that matter if any of them would survive the night. The African hunter glanced at Dean who was by the window and from time to time peeked at the garden to see how many enemies gathered around the house. The situation escalated quickly since their arrival but it wasn't impossible to survive the ordeal. She walked closer to him and put her hand on his shoulder.

« How many? »

« I've counted 5 of them. Each of them has two guns, I saw one with a knife. »

« Five? Sounds manageable... » -Oya said as she looked at the mother and the daughter. « Dean, if we don't make it... » She sighed and then cupped his cheek. « It was a great ride. » She grinned and pressed her lips against his.

« Listen! I don't mind taking lives if that means I can protect my daughter! » The mother finally said. « After all, I dragged you into this Oya. I need to do something. »

« And take the risk to have your daughter live knowing her mother killed people, Leda? »

« I don't mind a few dead people. » Leda nodded and hugged her daughter tighter. « I need to do what's right for my daughter. I need to. » She said in a growl.

Leda married a werewolf who accidentally bit the daughter she had from a previous marriage and turned her into a werewolf. Her husband's whole pack was slaughtered ever since this « couple counselor » appeared in town. It turned out that the man was a hunter who was hellbent on slaughtering every beast, including children. Leda was born Cameroonian and used to hang out with Oya and her family when they were younger. She moved out to the USA two decades ago where she acquired the American nationality and made a life for herself as a fashion designer.

Her first marriage didn't work out but she had the exclusive parenting rights on her kid, Nadya. Jerome, the werewolf was a good man, with a heavy secret and neither she or Nadya wanted to leave him. He loved his family and even went against his pack's rules, not to date outside of the community. Of course, when the strange man started to kill every werewolf, she decided to protect her child and call her childhood friend for an extraction mission. Oya couldn't refuse the case and asked Dean to come with her.

Of course, Dean wanted to have confirmation that the mysterious deaths were of actual monsters before he made a move. He needed to confirm Leda's story and find a way out of town that wouldn't require killing anybody. The plan was to pretend He and Oya were a married couple who'd just recently moved into the house of one of the victims. To be less suspicious, Oya had to pretend she was the sweet and innocent Stepford wife. It was a real challenge given the abrasive nature of the hunter who had to conceal her disgust and anger. She normally would have lashed out at her anyone who decided to attack her but it would have exposed her real nature, so she gave tight smiles. Of course, Dean always came to her rescue and was intimidating enough to make the pig, who addressed Oya in derogatory terms, think twice before escalating the situation. Curiously, racism was quite not the main reason people came to them. People didn't come at them because they were an interracial marriage but rather that they came from the big city.

Some of the new neighbors were suspicious of these newcomers who knew nothing about living in a small town and probably thought it was fancy before it was time to leave. Others didn't mind them and were very friendly. Most were upset over the deaths that occurred but never connected the dots. They always looked like bad luck or domestic accidents and only the most superstitious of them thought it was God's retribution. After all, these couples all entered a therapy, so their marriage wasn't working well and if it wasn't then it probably was because Satan entered their relationships. Fortunately, many did welcome and appreciate the new couple. Many neighbors came with apple pies or beef lasagnas too.

Leda and her daughter were the house next door so Dean and Oya spent most of their nights in their house for dinner. Oya enjoyed it. She enjoyed waking up in the morning and kissing Dean goodbye when he went to work at the local cabinetmaker. He was great with his two hands and manual labor became art whenever he was working wood. She enjoyed wearing a ring too. At first, she thought she would have a heart attack when he slid the ring on her finger because it reminded her of Fabrice. Her hand was shaking, she was shaking but he held her hand tight and kissed her hard in order to reassure her. They weren't going to get married for real and they weren't going to lead this boring-ass life together. It was all an act. She was aware of that but seeing that ring after several weeks of playing pretend was quite something.... it felt good?

« Let's turn the lights off. We'll surprise them. They wouldn't be able to see her clearly through the dark. Leda, shelter Nadya now! »

She whispered, swallowing a lump, as she stared at her friend hide her daughter under the kitchen sink. A quick glance to Dean who nodded and they turned the living room and the kitchen's lights off. All three of them quickly spread across the house. Leda took the biggest kitchen knife she could find, while Oya and Dean both had guns and knives in both hands. Leda waited in the middle of the living room. Dean was hidden in the wall near that separated the living room from the entry hall and Oya was on the other side. All three of them were staring at each other, their eyes now used to be in the dark. There was barely a sound in the house but they could clearly hear the footsteps of their assailants become louder and louder. Finally ! The front door was destroyed with a kick and the five men entered the house.

« Jean! Dirk ! Go upstairs! Check for the bitch and her abomination! Jack, Cole, follow me. Anything that moves, you shoot! »

Orders were clear. Dean tightened his grip on his knife and Oya on her gun. She looked at him, thinking that it might be the last time she had the pleasure to stare at his face. It didn't last long, maybe just a second where she wished they didn't come here for a case, but maybe because they really wanted to start over. Yes, it wasn't true, it wasn't them. Oya wasn't meant to be a housewife. All the days spent without hunting were wasted days for her. She wanted the thrill of the hunt, the fight, the danger and the fact she saved lives. She wanted to be in the action rather than watch Dean do all the heavy lifting. Dean hated it as well. Not being able to hit the road and hunt for a ghost or a werewolf was painful to him. Being a hunter defined him, saving people lives, doing it with Sam, Oya or Cas.

It was who he was and he refused to give it even though he had a taste of what a normal life was by Oya's side. It felt as though both had retired and were living the American dream except after a while it became old and boring. Of course, the only thing he wasn't fully against -although not exactly looking forward to- was wearing that ring and calling Oya his wife. It felt alien in his mouth. It felt like he was living in an alternate reality but it wasn't completely bad either. In real life, they were FAR from calling each other husband and wife. Both couldn't even get around her calling him « boyfriend » in private (she never did in public. Always called Dean by his name or Dickhead rather than a pet name) so how could they even get to him calling her wife?

The ring wasn't a bother. It wasn't because he somehow already wore something from her that felt like one -the pendant she sculpted for him-. And he bought a custom dagger he knew she would love to have, with her name carved on it along with the date she gave him the pendant. The ring wasn't a bother but it felt like a promise. -not an improvement of some sorts since their relationship was already great as it was. Indeed, they slept together, fucked each other, hunted together and protected one another. - Very few people were aware of their bond. Sam knew because he was clever, Cas was an angel so he would notice this kind of things rather quickly. Crowley by extension guessed it, which didn't please either of Dean or Oya. The rest of the world was unaware which led to hilarious moments of Oya's jealousy exploding on the unaware ladies who dared to get close to Dean. The ring, somehow, made it official and everyone was aware of their bond and stopped trying to get into his pants or hers for that matter. It wasn't as bad as they thought it would be but it wasn't exactly ideal either. Either way, now wasn't the time to think about it

James, Cole and the nameless leader arrived at the living room. They slowly walked past the front door. James who was the closest to Dean turned on his left and tried to shoot at him, but Dean pushed his arm away, making the gun hit against the wall and making James grunt. He grabbed Dean's shirt and pushed him against the wall. Cole was on the nameless leader's right. As soon as he heard James having trouble, he pointed his gun at Dean but Oya used her knife and stabbed his arm, making him groan in pain and turn on his right to slam Oya against the wall. The nameless leader shot without warnings at Leda since she was in his range but she moved fast and dodged the bullets. She crouched and hid behind one of the coaches and slowly crawled towards the other end of it. The noise attracted the other two men, Jean and Dirk who quickly went downstairs.

Dean could have been upset over the prospect of taking a life, years ago he would have been. Time went by and after dealing with so much shit, all he knew was that he would do all he could to save innocent lives. Leda's daughter was innocent. Yes she ate raw beef meat, yes she sometimes turned into a werewolf cub but she was aware of her true nature and what it implied. She was aware of the precautions she had to take and Leda was raising her right. She was a precious little girl and he refused to see her die at the hands of hateful people. He dug up and found out that the pack they killed was actually helping the community and that many townspeople were aware of their true nature. This counselor and his ilk of skilled hunters arrived and forced their bigoted views on the townspeople. James fired two bullets and one grazed Dean's ear, making it bleed profusely -but it wasn't lethal so he didn't care. Dean didn't flinch much, aside from having his eardrums shocked to the point he couldn't hear anything for a good 20 minutes. It didn't matter, it had happened before. He threw James away, making him fall on his back and shot one bullet on his left arm and another one on his head.

Oya felt Cole's hand grab her neck and slam her against the wall. It made her drop her gun on the floor. She might have stabbed his arm earlier on but didn't hurt any nerve so he could still move it. He was taller than her, at least of three good heads and used his height to his advantage. She kicked his belly, but he was strong enough to resist her assaults. She tried to stab him but he grabbed her wrist and slammed it against the wall, effectively making her drop her knife as well. Her eyes grew wide. Leda closed her eyes as the leader shot at the couch, thanking her husband for choosing such a thick furniture. She then went at the edge of it and met face to face with him. The leader was a tall lean brown haired guy who held his gun a few inches from her face. Before he could shoot at her, Dean shot his shoulder, making him lose focus and allowing Leda to stand up and slash the wrist that held the gun. The leader screamed and dropped his gun but he hit her face with his fist while Dirk shot at Dean. The bullet hit his shoulder but Dean turns around and planted his knife in Dirk's belly.

Oya took the opportunity of a distracted Cole who released one of her hands in order to grab his knife that was behind his back to have her hit his throat with her palm, forcing him to choke on air. She then used the same hand to punch his face and make him step back and then used her knee to hit his sternum forcing him to release her throat and her body at the same time. Oya landed on the floor. She had the time to grab the knife that was on the floor before Cole came back and with brute force, slammed her against the wall with his whole weight. She stabbed him right in the throat, thus killing him in the process, and landed on the floor right when Jean came. Alarmed by the screams of their leader, he aimed his gun at Leda and shot her in the back, making her fall.

The leader was injured but not enough for the wounds to be lethal. Oya screamed and pushed the corpse of Cole to jump on Jean from behind, crossing her legs around his waist while her hands were holding onto his neck. It made him lose his balance and prevented him from shooting at Leda. Dirk proved to be resilient so he didn't fall when he was stabbed by Dean and instead grabbed Dean's arm and punched his face hard enough to make him bleed. Dirk then punched him again and removed the knife from his belly to try and stab Dean with it instead. The Winchester older brother dodged the knife and pushed Dirk's arm away. They struggled a little before Dean managed to make him fall and straddle him. Oya watched powerlessly as Leda was headshot in front of her by the leader.

« NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO !!!!!! » She broke Jean's neck in a fit of rage and as the body landed on the floor, Oya stood back up.

Dean was punching Dirk with one fist while trying to make him drop his gun. His hearing was still very bad but he was able to hear a sound (just at a distance). He kept punching Dirk, soaking his fists with blood as he went on. He heard the scream so of course, his eyes averted from his enemy to Oya who was screaming. His green eyes followed her and he noticed Leda on the floor, eyes wide open and half her brain out. He didn't even have time to warn Oya to be careful that he heard a second gunshot and saw blood quickly forming on her belly. He punched Dirk hard enough to knock him out and grabbed the gun Jean dropped near him and used it to shoot at the leader's face. Effectively killing him. He then aimed it at Dirk's face and quickly ran towards Oya. She fell on the ground, unable to stand up after the gun wound she sustained. Her eyes were wide open. It happened so quickly and she was bleeding so fast. He removed his shirt and put it on the wound to stop the bleeding. He quickly looked at her for signs of internal bleeding but she was responsive and seemingly awake.

« Oya !!!! Oya !! Fuck! Oya ! »

« I'm okay. Dean.. Go get Nadya, we need to leave right now. »

« Can you move? » She nodded and grabbed the shirt she pressed against her wound. "I'd take a look in the car when we're far away from that place.  But if it's too serious, I take you to the hospital!"

He didn't want to argue with her, he would take her to the hospital if her injuries were too serious. He helped her stand up and walked her to the stairs before he went to the kitchen and grabbed Nadya. Dean's face was so tense and serious that his jawline might have imploded from the sheer pressure alone. He was worried, overwhelmingly worried about Oya's survival. They took stab wounds, gunshot wounds, and magic wounds before but seeing her bleed this fast and this much was new for him and the sudden realization that she might die froze him. She shook her head and smiled at the little 6 years old who was protected from the sight of her dead mother by Dean before the three of them could escape from the house. Soon enough police would come over and see the bloodbath that was left behind, they would question about the couple that came to town but eventually, Oya and Dean would be declared dead or missing. Maybe if the investigation was seriously led, would they link the people killed to the other murders and allow the families of the werewolves killed these last months to finally make their peace? Dean didn't care much about all of that. He killed those assholes, saved Nadya and was more focused on saving Oya now.

Eventually, the wound would prove to be superficial as it didn't touch any vital organs and she would be patched up pretty fast at the hospital, much to Dean's relief. Nadya already knew her mother was dead, from the moment she heard Oya scream « no ! » to the fact Leda wasn't in the car with them. She surprised both adults with the way she handled the situation, knowing that bad people would eventually come and try to kill her like they did her step-dad but she was ready for it to happen. She was sent to her step-aunt in Indiana who was a werewolf and Dean took Oya back to the bunker as soon as she could hit the road. She slept through the whole trip, which allowed him to think about what it meant to see her injured.

They were lucky it wasn't a serious injury. They were lucky Oya didn't die. He himself could have died back in that house but they got lucky. He got lucky. He let his hand on her thigh and sometimes stroked her cheek. Dean didn't want Oya to die. Seeing her injured like this helped his fears resurfaced and he nearly had a heart attack thinking about losing her. He couldn't afford to lose Oya, not now, not ever. She turned on herself and leaned into his touch a little more. Dean would not talk about the impact that case had on him. He couldn't possibly voice it, let alone inform Oya that he didn't want to see her get injured and the thought of almost losing her overwhelmed him. He wouldn't say anything because she was still alive and he would focus on that. As he parked the car, he gently woke her up with a light shake. She opened her beautiful hazel eyes and stared at him.

« We're home. » He informed her before he planted a kiss on her lips. They were home.

S.o.A : Don't tell : Jessica x Asma

There was a tacit agreement between Asma and Jessica that none of them would talk about Oscar to anyone else but each other. Jax would be driven crazy if he knew that his wife had a bloody encounter at home. He would be even more worried than he already was and Jessica wanted to avoid unnecessary drama. She wouldn't tell her husband about Oscar, at least, not now. Not when they were a little tense since the job she took for that weasel William. It would have to wait a little bit. Jess made sure that Asma didn't see the carnage that was her kitchen and living room. She called her guys who cleaned up the house in no-time and then, called for Asma to come upstairs and leave the basement. There would be no more looking past her shoulder for the young woman. There would be no reason for her to leave town now that the threat was eliminated. There would be no reasons, right ? Jessica wasn't sure. Asma was difficult to read since the attack. She pretended she was fine and smiled returned to her office and got back to business but something was awfully off about her. She was given a box with Oscar's belongings so she could have some closure and dispose of it as she wished but Jessica didn't hear from that box since she handed it to Asma.

She didn't disappear on Jessica. All the opposite. Worried about the baby, the brunette went to the hospital in order to have a check-up on the baby. The hit she received in the middle of the fight was nothing short but frightening and she told Asma about it so the pink haired tattoo artist could come with her and give her some support. The doctor reassured her, the baby was healthy, nothing happened and it was just a « false alert ». This relieved both of them from a stress and on their way to the car, Jessica ran her hand over her belly. She was halfway through it and yet, the fear of losing her baby only made her realize that fighting Oscar was a very decision she made and she would have been devastated if the outcome of this fight had been different. A nervous laughter escaped from her lips as she dropped the keys and ran her hands through her chocolate locks. Asma knew what was going on, how could she not? She herself hadn't let out her nervous smile just yet. Oscar was dead. She was free now. It didn't feel like it and she would bitterly realize that Oscar didn't need to be alive to so heavily influence her life. The damage was done already and the traumas still existed. Burning the box with his belongings or trashing it might be a way to move forward but the road to recovery was a long one.. maybe one that would last a lifetime.

So she had not realized it yet, what she did realize, however, was that her friend risked her life to save her. So as Asma crouched and grabbed the keys, she stood up and pulled Jessica into a tight hug. Her left hand rubbed the pregnant hit woman's back while the right one got lost into her chocolate curls. She seemed calm, and she definitely was calmer than her pregnant best friend but she was still ashamed and sorry to have put Jessica through this ordeal. So she whispered to her ear « I'm sorry. I'm sorry... » but Jessica shook her head and answered in a broken voice. « It's alright! It's alright! My baby's fine. Ah ! My baby's fine! » She said, hugging Asma tighter before she shut her eyes tight.

« You're not saying anything to Tig or Jax okay? »

« I won't. I swear. » She said showing her pinky for a pinky promise while still hugging Jessica with her right hand.

« Pinky promise? » She said while wrapping her pinky around Asma's.

« I cross my heart and hope to die! I won't tell a soul. Are you crazy?! Do you know what would happen if I ever snitch? »  She tried to joke while her hands cleaned Jessica's face from her tears.

« You'll catch these hands! » Jessica said showing her fists. « And you'll catch Jax' and the rest of the club. It's a terrible idea. I would get in troubles too. let's keep it to ourselves okay? »

« It's the fourth time we promise not to tell the boys about what you did. I feel terrible to have put you through this shit. »

« It's the 10th time you apologize. It's getting old real fast, isn't it? Let's not talk about any of this anymore. We know we'll zip it and that I really don't think you should feel sorry about it because I chose to protect you so it's on me. Whatever would have happened, it was on me. I provoked him prevented you from leaving and selfishly protected you. It's on me! »

« But.... »

« No, but! I won't let you blame yourself for something /I/ did to myself. What happened to you was horrible and despicable. What he did to you... what you went through... point is, you survived and I promised myself I would help you lead a good life, the best you can have around here. »

« Damn right you did ! » Asma said, wiping away some tears that fell onto her beautiful face. « Th- »

« Ta ta ta! Enough thank yous! We have talked about it Asma. I chose to do it because I wanted to because I love you. Because I had to okay? Baby's fine, all is fine on my side. Are you okay? »

« Me? »

« We haven't talked about that night in details... I think... we shall before the boys come back. You woke up didn't you? You heard some of that noise. » Asma stiffened and simply offered a smile at Jessica.

« Get into the car, I'm dropping you home woman. » Asma simply said, cutting short the conversation. Jessica let it slide for the moment and got into the passenger's seat but she knew she would corner Asma soon enough so they would talk about it otherwise, the pink haired lady would keep it to herself and could easily return to drinking. « the baby is safe... that's what we should be celebrating right now. Are you hungry? We could stop by a restaurant. My treat! »

« Who am I to say no to such a gentle offer? » Jessica grinned and leaned her head against the headrest.

DOYA : Summer night

A/ N: Because well, why not? Since things with Kira happened, she felt a little bit the need to recenter herself on Dean and her. So it's a little tender and probably romantic too. I'm trying to write something else than drama or action. All usual disclaimers!

Xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

Oya and Dean had just finished the episode of Game of Thrones of the week. She got tired of wearing the wig and threw it on the chair on the left before she turned her attention to Dean. This season was more frustrating to her than she had anticipated so of course, she was upset. He noticed and chuckled at the sight of her with puffed up cheeks and furrowed brows. She was one of the biggest supporters of Daenerys -she had her wig after all- but since the beginning of the new season she kept on being disappointed and cussed at all the characters of the show, save for Olenna and the little Bear Lyanna Mormont. Dean patted his lap to invite his girlfriend to sit on it, so she did. Her arms wrapped around his neck and her legs stretched on the couch.

« You're not going to sulk all night long because you're upset over a tv show! » He informed her.

She could very much sulk all night long and he didn't want them to spend another tensed day. They, themselves, were in a good place. A much better place than he expected them to be after she learned about his twins. Oya was thrilled upon learning he had children already. It set her free from an invisible fear she held about him wanting to have kids someday and her being unable to deliver in any way possible. -legal adoption was a no-no since the Winchester couldn't go through the ridiculous procedure it required-. What she didn't like, however, was the fact he hid this information from her. She was worried he might hide something as important from her in the near future but Dean promised he wouldn't and she trusted him to keep his words. He always tried to and it was more than enough for Oya.

She tried to encourage him to see Kira since the blonde was in town but it never came to fruition because Dean simply didn't call his daughter and despite being disappointed, Oya quickly overcame her disappointment when she met Kira again. Their encounter ended on a hopeful note which relieved Oya from some stress she wasn't even aware of experiencing and helped soothe her. So why was there a tension? He didn't tell her and as much as Oya wanted to move on from that, she simply couldn't. He himself couldn't avoid feeling guilty for not telling her so both of them felt a little bit as if they were dancing on eggs when their relationship wasn't going bad. As a matter of fact, it was doing great. He'd just opened up to her about something that usually breaks most new relationships but she remained by his sides, still in love with him and even more determined to fight for them. She remained by his sides and he told her the truth, one of his proudest and shameful moment of his life. -he was proud to have kids and his kids turned out to be badass hunters. However, the way he dealt with them was one of his greatest shame-

« I'm not going to sulk, I promise. I have something more important to deal with. »

« Something more important? Like what? » He asked in a bemused tone. Oya grinned at him and rubbed her nose against his.

« Mmmhh I might have an idea or two. » He gently cupped the back of her neck and leaned his forehead against hers. « I want to see you, Dean. I mean, I want to take the time to look at you okay ?... »

Oya then pushed herself off of his lap, so she could kneel on the couch first and then straddle him. His hands rested on her waist as his jade eyes stared into her hazel ones. Tonight they seemed to glow as she looked at him. He wasn't used to being stared at like that, to have someone who was interested in him despite knowing some of the horrors he had to deal with. Unlike most women he shared a bed with, Oya didn't leave. She was well aware of what he was doing since they worked together and she was a seasoned hunter. Why would she turn her back on him? Of course, legends always preceded him and one could either feel wary about being entangled with the Winchester or worship them because they saved the world several times. Dean had his fair share of supporters and haters alike but Oya wasn't motivated by his « fame ». She didn't even plan on falling in love with him and yet before she could realize it, he had smashed open the heavy doors that shielded her heart.

He grinned at her, his fingers sinking into the soft flesh of her toned thighs. Oya was beautiful, he always said so. He couldn't get over her strong and curvy body, the softness of her skin against his calloused fingers. Dean couldn't get over the warmth of her smiles, the rarity that her laughter was, the trembling voice she had when she was being emotional and was about to tell him how much she loved him. Dean enjoyed her touch, her passionate cries whenever they made love and how good she felt around and against him. He couldn't get enough of the warmth she provided him whenever they slept next to each other and his embrace was making her feel safe and took her nightmares away. She made him feel a certain way and it scared him more with each passing day. Who would have thought she would take that much space in his life? She might have had rough edges, the hunter knew that Oya was a good soul. She had his best interest in mind and if « Kira's bomb » wasn't a test, then he didn't know what that was. The African hunter let her fingers run over the back of his neck and into his blonde hair.

« Do you like what you see? » He teased her, his fingers still sunk into her thighs.

« Mmmhhhh maybe? » She teased him with before she pecked his nose. « Absolutely. » She whispered again and pecked at his nose again. « Haven't seen everything yet. » She said kissing the tip of his nose a third time before she pulled away from him. « I need to take a better look at you Dean. » She said, her soft fingers still stroking the back of his head, massaging his scalp in a slow motion. It elicited a pleasured groan from the hunter who ran his hands up her toned back.

« You can explore all you want. » He wasn't going to stop her but Oya softly smiled at him and cupped his left cheek with her right hand.

«This is very tempting, love, but right now, I just want to be with you at the moment we're having when everything is quiet and the world is ours. » She said pressing her lips against his. He ran his hands up to her neck and gently squeezed it. « I just realized we never have the time to do this sort of things. We're always on the road. »

His green eyes looked up to her and he ran his fingers through her black locks. He never was used to someone looking at him this intensely without malice. Surely there was Jo, there was Lisa but none of them spent this much time with him. None of them knew him as much as Oya did and stayed by his sides. Cassie would have but her first reaction was to run away from him when he told her the truth. He kept his fingers into her thick mane as she kept looking at him.

« You know... It's when you're not around that I realize how much I am actually missing your stubborn ass. »

« That's not a compliment! » He said, smacking her plump ass with his hand, making her giggle at his reaction.

« I know, I know.. I'm just saying.... I know what I'm signing for when I'm with you. I know you... » She said as she bent forward to kiss his lips. « And despite those flaws, I think you're perfect.. » She grinned and pecked his lips. « I see a man who cares deeply about his family. He cares so much that he's able to dive into the void if that meant saving Sam or Castiel. I see a man, who looked after his little brother all his life, assuming the rôle of both the dad and the mom. » He wanted to say something but she hushed him with a finger on his lips. « I see a man who's carrying the world on his shoulders, ready to sacrifice everything to save it, even if it's just a tiny soul. I see a man who's compassionate and who loves mankind. I see a man who hasn't given up on his fellow human beings... I see a broken man Dean... A broken man with a golden heart, a pure soul. » She smiled at him. « Not pure as without sin... but pure as in genuine and … yeah, loving. We can say that. » She then took a deep breath and looked at his chest.  « There's a man who loves me.../me/.. of all people. »

« What's wrong with that? » He said, feeling she wouldn't stop him from talking anymore. He straightened on the couch and held her waist to prevent her from falling from his sudden shift.

« ….....Nothing. » She sighed and looked away.

« That's not a nothing face. Oya. Hey.. » He cupped her cheek and stroked it with his calloused fingers. « That's not a nothing face at all. What's wrong with loving you? » He asked again.

« Oh.. you know... » She said with that accent he loved. He shook his head.

« I don't know.  What ? Were you going to say some crap like, you don't deserve me or you're not good enough? » He knew she was and the crooked smile she gave him sold her out.

It still baffled him that she would think she wasn't « enough » for him but then he remembered that it was her ex's fault. He never had this type of relationship, where you met your sweetheart at a young age and got engaged. She grew up thinking her life was already written in stone only to have it shredded to nothingness. He always came prepared, always anticipated the other shoe to drop and usually Dean was right. Except with Oya. At least, from her. The shoe didn't drop because she decided to leave him. The shoe could drop if she was killed which was one of his fears.

«......Maybe....Why are we focusing on me all of a sudden? » She asked, trying some gymnastics to avoid answering his questions.

Oya loved to give and she focused her attention on every member of the team. If it wasn't on Dean then she would shift it on Sam or Castiel but rarely on herself. The only moment she made herself known was whenever a woman tried to flirt with her boyfriend. The only moment she expressed herself about how she felt was when they made love or when she talked about how life was for a hunter or which monsters she hunted when she was in Africa. She wasn't used to being the center of attention and Dean picked that up.

« Why not? » He said, cupping her other cheek and moving her head so she would look at him. Oya wrapped her hands around his wrists and chewed at her bottom lip. « I can't possibly let you think that crap about yourself. I'm not doing you a favor by being with you, I chose you and that means the whole you. It's true, I'm not very talkative when it comes to how I feel but I think you're beautiful. I think I'm a lucky chum to be with you. I think... I can't get enough of you too. » He said pressing his lips against hers. She gasped and shut her eyes tight. As he broke the kiss that bruised their lips a little bit, Dean kept stroking her cheeks. « When I look at you, I see a woman with a big heart. You're always taking care of those Sam, Castiel and I. You're always checking on me, you're a tiny angry little ass-kicking machine and you care so much about our cases. Sometimes you care so much that you cross the line when we're on a mission. » He chuckled and kissed her lips. « I could go on and on about what I like about you but I'm certain of something. I don't want to lose you. » He said, his jaw tightening at his words. Her eyes grew wide as she didn't expect him to say such words and she felt tears form in her eyes. « Don't you cry pumpkin. Don't you cry okay? »

« I don't.... I'm not crying! » She said chewing at her bottom lip and shaking her head. He chuckled and pressed his lips against hers for another kiss. « Don't cry. I don't like when you do. »

« I'm not sad Dean. I'm happy actually. » She said wiping out some tears. « I never thought I would be this happy actually. I never thought I could... I never thought I could have you in my life. » She said as she pressed her lips against his hard. She felt her heartbeats increase and found herself overwhelmed because of him. He chuckled in between their kisses and leaned back into the couch with her above him.

« I prefer that. » He said as he stroked her cheek with the back of his hand.

His emerald eyes were staring at her intensely, making Oya blush as she noticed how soft his gaze was. Dean seemed to be relaxed by her sides as if he wasn't carrying the weight of the whole world on his own. She liked to see him like this and traced imaginary patterns on his chest with her fingers. She pressed light kisses on his chest and then leaned her head against it while her arms wrapped around his torso. The moments of quietness were quite rare and she knew that soon enough they would have to work on a case.

« I don't want our Sundays to end. I love being able to rest with you, Dean. »

« Yeah.. but you'd get bored if you didn't kick some asses and busted some monster nuts. You know that. » He was right, she loved to hunt and unlike most hunters aficionados, she didn't want to kill animals, she only relished in hunting the scum of the scum that preyed on humans. Many times Dean caught her slasher smiles as they were offing nefarious werewolves or demons. He knew she didn't shy away from this either and he himself found joy in hunting evil creatures. He kept his hand on the back of her neck, stroking the sensitive skin there and sending shivers down her spine.

« You know me well. I would get bored. What say you? Sam told me earlier that he found a case we might want to look at, in Colorado. Tomorow we could hit the road? »

« Agreed! Let's find him so he could fill us in about the case so we pack tonight, we sleep well and we go? »

« Who said I want to sleep right now? » She asked, lifting her head up and capturing his bottom lip with hers. « I have something else in mind right now but to do that, we need to go back to your room. »

« Oh yeah? » He asked as he stood up and carried this little pocket monster hunter to their bedroom.

It was just one of those summer night where Dean and Oya spent a nice day together, a nice peaceful day without realizing yet that just like Dean and Oya feared, that other shoe might drop sooner than expected.
