Windora shorts: bathtub

A bubble bath was supposed to help one relax. Lux could feel the warmth of the water and the satisfying sensation of the bubbles against her skin. She had her red locks tied in a messy bun and was looking at the ceiling of the bathroom. Her head was buzzing with so much information that she was having a hard time focusing on whatever was going on. She scolded herself for being distracted with lewd thoughts when she shouldn't have been. Still, the embarrassment she felt back then was nothing compared to the news the Hermit Vampire Dalmas Stejic revealed to her. Her intuition was correct; her father was indeed worried about them being in danger, and she realized that he was well aware of the source of the danger. If Dalmas Stejic was to be believed, she wasn't too far from the truth: a founding vampire was going after House Adora.

She shut her eyes and sank a little deeper into the bathtub. Once the euphoria of finally having an answer to her questions subsided, worries began to settle in her mind. It was one thing to know that there was indeed a danger looming over House Adora. It was another to realize the level of such a threat. As suspected, it wasn't human, nor did it come from the supernatural world. They wouldn't dare to have a full-blown war against Vampires because there was too much to lose. Not only countless lives, but also the very fragile fabric of their societies. No. The threat came from inside! Dalmas Stejic calmly told her that in letters he received from members of the House, Roustain. Some of them were suspicious about the relics in Roustain's mausoleum. They believed that these relics didn't belong to their Sire and he would instead come back to lead them.  Fine! Fine! Fine! Say, these confessions were true. Founding Father Roustain was notorious for his hatred of Father Adora. If he wasn't dead, then that meant the situation was even worse than she thought it was.

Fighting a vampire was something she believed would not be easy, but was clearly not impossible. Lux believed in her ability to fight and defeat any vampires she would encounter. She could take on any of them, but a founding father? That required a lot of planning. Sighing deeply, the redhead sank completely into the bathtub. What was she supposed to do with that information? She should talk to her father. yes! And she should...stay away from Jake? Ah Jake! yes! How could she protect Jake? She couldn't possibly take him to the vampire fortress. Could she willingly put him in such danger? Jake was capable, and he was a hunter. More than just a hunter, he was a Winchester.  He was a legendary hunter, with an addictive blood that could turn him into a living target if he set foot in the fortress.  Lux sat straight on the bathtub and sucked on her bottom lip. She simply couldn't imagine introducing Jake to the vampire society. They would eat him up, literally. They might devour him, or worse, they might want to turn him into a vampire just to spite both the Winchesters and Lux. Why wouldn't they?

She furrowed her brows harder and squeezed the edges of the tub. Jake... her special human... She wanted to protect him. At this point in their relationship, she refused to give up on him. She wanted to see him, not just once or twice, but she wanted to see him often, more than often.. Always! Lux pinched the bridge of her nose and scrunched up her face. What should be her next move? First, she would have to return to see Jake again. She needed to see him and spend some time with him. And deep down, she realized that she needed to be comforted and to hug and cuddle Jake to get it. The vampire thought she should text her brother, Alceste, to inform him about what was happening and help him prepare their father for her announcement. She needed to prepare better because Aurelius would never accept the to hearing about her suspicions without any evidence from Lux. She had to know what to tell him to convince him that there was a serious threat that needed to be considered. She couldn't waste any more time. She had to keep moving.
