GoT : (modern) Love Bug
She grew out of her funk.
Seeing Elias’ name on that guest list that other day had nearly caused her a
heart attack. Sure, she misread and at the end of the day, Bäahal was able to
organize one of the best charity gala of the year. But what would have happened
if her ex showed up at this event? The silver-haired heiress tried to ignore
the question for as long as she could, focusing instead on her various
obligations, but the question still haunted her and stuck at the back of her head
for days. She refused to think about it and didn’t need a reminder of the
heartache she felt a couple of years ago. Yet, it hurt! Badly so! Elias left
her all of a sudden, claiming he never loved her, claiming she wasn’t enough. They
had everything planned already, a house, some pets, and a wedding. He proposed
knee on the floor and all of that jazz. Oh, she was in love! so in love that
she was convinced they would end up together. Yet he left. Zing ! one day,
he had just packed and left the empty apartment they were living in. And just like
that, he broke her heart and shattered her dreams.
He had the right to start
over, after all, he wasn’t happy with her. He had the right to move on. But she
couldn’t help but snarl at each of his happy pictures. He pretended to be happy
with her, he pretended he loved her and that was the reason she was so
hurt. Bäahal didn’t know the truth, that
Dany bought his love with enough money for him to start his own business. Dany
made it happen and yes, should Bäahal know, she would lash out. She would lash
out at Dany for messing with her life and she would lash out at Elias for accepting
the deal. Her love was less valuable than a business venture. Perhaps this
would hurt more and it was best if she believed he simply never loved her. For now, that was what she believed in and the
fact he pretended was hurting her. But she did move on. she managed to heal and
as she fetched herself a glass of wine and sat on the comfortable chair of the Palace’s
living room, the silver head tried to relax. She wasn’t the same woman she used
to be before. While it was obvious that she had been craving genuine affection
for so long and ended up convinced that she couldn’t have any, life chose
otherwise. Life brought her Jaime.
Jaime was different. Jaime
was amazing! She had never met a man who was so confident and in touch with
himself that he didn’t need to play games with her. The Lannister had always
been honest, to a fault and she appreciated it. She couldn’t forget the genuine
care he had when they first hooked up, and when he followed through with texts,
calls, and their second time spent together. Jaime had always made her feel welcomed and
where she belonged and how could Bäahal forget their mornings together? She
enjoyed waking up to him, opening her violet hues to his smiling face. He would
watch her sleep, would stroke her arm, would cup her cheeks, and kiss her face.
He would embrace her and pull her into a hug and she would wrap her arm around
his shoulder and keep him closer to her heart. Such intimacy couldn’t be faked,
the desire to be close to one another was real. She didn’t need words to know
it. From the moment they met, they couldn’t tear their eyes off of themselves
nor could they keep their hands off of each other. Even now, while she was
being cozy, the only thing the heiress could think about was Jaime.
People started to notice,
especially the tabloids that she wasn’t upset anymore when they photographed
her. Instead, she was even more productive, always focused on her phone and
smiling sheepishly as if she was blushing. Many speculated about what or who
could put her in such a good mood, calling it « the love bug » but
she always denied it, simply stating that she was just doing more sport,
practicing a lot more, and being more involved in her charity work. Truth be told, it was a love bug. She was in love
with Jaime and couldn’t even deny it at this point but she was happy and the
butterflies in her belly could testify of it. She was happy.
