(Modern)
Her beauty could bring people to their knees. She was aware of it at an early age, of the way people treated her differently from the others because she was rich and pretty. She had noticed the way she could make people fold with just one intense purple gaze or a savant-placed smile. The girl was taught at an early age how to navigate this cruel world and weaponize the gifts the gods old and new gave her.
She knew her true beauty lay within. It wasn't the silver hair or the purple eyes that made her beautiful. It was the kind heart her mother gifted her with. It was the soft soul shaped by years of a loving upbringing. It was the poverty she was raised in, that taught her the value of things and people. Bâahal knew her true beauty was hidden and only the ones who were worthy would be able to uncover it. Very few knew her, and very few had access to her intimacy. Very few had seen her at her most vulnerable. Here lay the true beauty.
But Bäahal was smart. Her mouth was even smarter, sometimes speaking faster than she wished it did. Bäahal was cunning and she knew, oh she knew that in order to survive this cruel world, she would need to harden herself, to learn how to manipulate words to command respect. She would need to outsmart everyone to survive. Thank you Father for the lessons you taught.
