I watched the world burn Eugene x Victoria

(OST : monster of God-Hellsing)

A/N: My babiiiiiiiies!!! This is the very last chapter of their romance! My werewolf and my seer succeeded in bringing revolution to such a cruel world and set their people free in spite of them dying! I was so sad when I wrote this one but it was cathartic <3 I hope you will dig it!

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

I watched as the world burned. My world turned into ashes, slipped through my fingers.

Eugene painfully crawled towards Victoria's weakened body. He was still in his werewolf form, bleeding through open wounds caused by silver bullets. None of these wounds were on their own fatal to the supernatural creature, but he knew that all of them would probably cause his death. He was ready to die, for he gave all of his might during the last battle that opposed the tyrants of this world to the people. He ignited that fire with the help of the first and last seer, Victoria, who despite being blind, joined him in battle. She exhausted herself while trying to protect people and ultimately rushed to her death in her last attempt to save this world when she transformed into a powerful entity and wiped the tyrants and their soldiers off this world. She pushed herself to her limits and knew there was no recovery from it. Death already waited for both of them but she refused to go without holding Eugene one last time in her arms. The werewolf, half-transformed, put his bloody head on her lap and let a weak growl escape from his mouth so she would know he was right next to her. A soft and cold hand landed on top of his skull and she gently massaged it. A soft smile crept on her lips and her face had a serene expression on it.

« We did good Eugene! We did well. »

« I know. I didn't think we'd pull this through, but you set your people free. » She chuckled at his statement.

« /we/ set /our/ people free, just as it was prophesized. Do you think it was Fate guiding us or do you think we made our own decisions? » She asked, still in a quiet voice but he could perceive worry in it.

« We made our own decisions! From the day you decided to escape from the Tyrants to this day when we put our lives on the balance. » He replied, breathing heavily as the wounds on his torso were making it difficult for him to breathe.

« Aah... so our love is real then... » She sounded relieved and he smiled at her words.

« You are the telepath here. You'd know if it wasn't. » He said with a light chuckle. He forced his arms to move so he could wrap them around her waist and pull her closer to his frame. She gently stroked the back of his neck and his shoulders.

« You have a point.....Do you have any regrets? » He shook his head.

« Not a single one... you? » He declared with confidence.

« Same... » She paused and sunk her nails into his shoulder.

Truth be told, she had a better life than she could have ever dreamed of. She broke free from her condition of a slave that forced her to use her powers in ways she would never want to. She was lonely at the time and even thought she would die alone. How strange life could be!! Not only did Victoria gather enough courage to break free, but she met Eugene who, just like her, was different and unique. She had powerful psychic powers in a world where nobody ever is different and he was a werewolf. Never did they discuss how it happened. Nobody knew why Eugene was a werewolf, nobody knew why Victoria had all these powers. It simply was. She was the very first to bond with him and he knew their relationship would be the only one he would care about. His first... and his last. They would die together, as heroes, in a world that saw them as outcasts. What better revenge could they have asked for ?

People were starting to realize that the war was over and they won their freedom. They started to cheer and celebrate all over the planet and the radio informed everyone of the new future that was ahead of them. It quickly became white noise for the couple and Victoria cocked her head to the side, allowing her silky pink mane to stroke the nose of her lover.

« Are you afraid, beloved ? » She asked, still petting Eugene's head. He nodded quietly, holding her body tighter.

« Only of not being with you in the Aftermath. »

« It won't happen. I promise. » She tried to reassure him, still unable to say if they would be together or if Fate would do them apart. She did experience near-death but never actually knew how would it be once she would die. Her hand intwined with one of his huge paws and she bent forward, enough for her face to touch his shoulder blades. « I had a good life Eugene. It started when I met you. »

« Mine finally meant something when my eyes were laid on you. I really am a lucky man. »

« We're both lucky . Eugene..can you sing for me one last time ? » She requested, her voice became weaker and he knew that she would be the first to die so he nodded and started to sing a ballad. It was the very ballad he wrote about them during one of their trips. She loved this song so much that usually whenever she was anxious, the young seer requested this song from him and he would indulge in her request. The story of the song was full of passion and optimism. It was the tale of heroes who saved the world while people cheered. It was a song full of acceptance and love. It was the perfect goodbye song. He kept singing, even when he heard her exhale her last breath and sang until the song was over. Even then, he mumbled the tune of the song, lovingly until his lungs collapsed and he couldn't sing anymore.

The people who fought alongside them, suddenly realized that their heroes were nowhere to be found and searched for them. It is said that when they found the bodies, Eugene had reverted back to his human form and was holding the frail and sweet Victoria in his powerful big arms. Both of them were smiling and people said that the rain didn't even want to bother their happiness and spared their spot so they were dry while everything else was soaked with rain. Others said that they looked as if they simply fell asleep and one could even be fooled and believe they weren't dead.

I watched as the world burned. I died in peace knowing I saved the future and I would be with her.

COPG Sinful dreams

A/N: I do love writing about these two:) <3 <3 always working further on their backstory and this one is filled with information. I can't wait to have basic human!Asma adjusts to being some reincarnation and what it truly implies for her. So far, she doesn't know anything but you know my love for tragedy <3

Asma belongs to me
Pride belongs to my friend <3

xxx xxx xxx

She had dreams she wouldn't tell him but he already knew about them. It wasn't too difficult to figure out why she wouldn't want to share these. How could you tell someone you've just met that you dreamed of them in intimate situations? How would you tell them that you heard their groans, felt their hands roam over your body and their comforting weight over yourself? How would you tell them about the kisses and nibbles and the delightful sensation of being one? You've never heard of them before, only saw them in your dreams. That was the situation Asma was in. She couldn't tell a word to the SIN, although her entire being was burning with a fever she barely understood. It wasn't hers. She didn't feel this intense craving for the joy of flesh before her awakening but ever since he appeared to her, it was almost seeping into her whole being. The craving of his touch, the yearning of an embrace. It embarrassed her and she quickly ignored her turmoil to focus on more important matters.

If he'd known, he wouldn't judge her. Actually, he shared the same dreams, the same memories. He would remember her soothing presence in his private quarters. The soft voice of hers reaching out to him and tearing him off of his grim duties. He would feel her warmth radiate from her and would automatically be drawn to it, to the point that it happened he requested her not to visit him in the underworld so he could complete his duty. He remembered her laughter and if anything, he was missing it the most. Days in the underworld were dull and grey but the moment she appeared, the moment he forgot about everything. It felt strange to be so connected to someone, even more so that this special someone belonged to an arch-nemesis race of gods. Pride contemplated her current meatsuit. If it wasn't for the lack of body markings, the fact she was very small compared to their real forms, the fact she was even more demure and collected than his lover intrigued him but also made him miss Elpis even more. His beloved was unique! She was so close and yet unreachable.

He would remember the day she acknowledged her feelings for him. Elpis was a very passionate woman who rarely waited for the good opportunity to say things or experience them. Her growing feelings for an entity that was supposed to be an enemy were bothering her at first. What should she do? Ayasha and Ishtar could certainly never know about her feelings but it was the least of her issues. The Seven SINS were infamously known among the primeval and new gods as Godslayers. Their magic was a powerful one, able to rival their own and the very entity that created them, HADES. He was also infamously known for seeking revenge and destruction over his peers. So, they weren't welcome and the gods tried their best to come up together with a plan to destroy them. Earth was chosen to be a neutral field, where both gods and the SINS would influence the fragile creatures that inhabited it: HUMANS. Gods would shape them, breathe life into them and into their surroundings but the SINS were free to influence them. The pink haired goddess of Hope, who was the daughter of the Elder gods of Life and Death, very often visited the place. She enjoyed the flora and fauna but was even more curious about these humans and their cultures. She would walk the Earth in order to bask in the glory of human creations and would very often stop by forests and other natural landscapes to rest and observe the work of her mother. They met by accident. One day she fell asleep in the forest and woke up to him, standing next to her and studying her.

They came a long way from this very first time seeing one another and guilt filled her heart as well as doubt. Pride wasn't exactly very open about his feelings. He barely acknowledged these unless they translated perfectly his annoyance or anger towards any other creatures. Joy, Love and any similar feeling were hidden deep down of his core and she was wondering if he ever felt them. The SIN tolerated her presence next to him, or so she thought. He accepted to listen to her and her findings of the world of men. He would always indulge in watching her dance or sing or create light shows with her magic but she never saw him smile and they never discussed their relationship. What could there be, except for them to simply study one another?

They often went on adventures in the Old World. The former dimension where gods originated from that was destroyed with the birth of the Seven SINS. There, she would take him to ruins of her pantheon and tell him about her life there before he was born and he would listen dutifully, almost religiously as she explained how things were before he existed. One day, they were attacked by echoes -remnants of the past, infected by the SINS negative essence and fatal for her- and he saved her, which prompted her to kiss him. There was the beginning of their relationship. They grew even closer, without any of them realizing that they needed one another. Joys of flesh were a bonus, although he didn't really grasp how important this was to her given the fact he was her first and only lover by choice. He had partners before her and even during their time together until he realized that he didn't want to have many because he only wanted one: Elpis.

Pride would never quite know how she worked up the courage to come to him and confront him about their relationship but she did. One day he was in their special spot on Earth where no humans would ever be, she teleported and started to throw a tantrum. She would scream about how nonsensical their relationship was, about how doomed she was if she couldn't think of having another mate, a more acceptable mate she could introduce to her family. He watched her pace fast around him and suddenly, he felt it. The jealousy of seeing her with another entity. It struck him like lightning but still, he kept his composure and said no words. She realized he was upset, noticed the slight change in his eyes and decided to keep talking half in order to provoke him and also, half because she was scared of the outcome of such a relationship. She mentioned how forbidden their relationship was and how her family would try to kill him if they knew.

She pointed out the fact his siblings didn't seem to care but for her, it was just because they thought it wasn't serious. She even told him how hurt she felt when Lust informed her that he was having affairs after affairs while they were together.  Pride felt anger cross his mind and surprisingly, he wasn't angry at Lust for telling Elpis, he was angry at him for causing Elpis such troubles and the more he thought about it, the more his eyes glowed an intense shade of blue. She kept spitting her words, telling the SIN that he actually never cared about her feelings and can't care about them because he has none. That he's just using her for entertainment since he cheated on her with so many other entities. She blamed herself for being blinded by her own feelings for him and not seeing that he was unable to return them and there again, talked about how better it would be if she simply found a suitor her family would approve of. One she would accept in her heart and in her bed. Her voice broke and his heart along with his patience too.

He grabbed her shoulders and started to shake them, uttering his refusal to see her with another than him. Shocked and confused, the goddess looked at the SIN and shook her head, sneering at him at « how possessive » he suddenly was and that she didn't need someone to tell her what she could or couldn't do since he didn't care about her at all. Elpis then put her hand over his chest and quietly told him that he should simply let her go and she would leave him be and that if falling in love with him was a mistake, it was one she was glad to have made. She admitted it loud and clear without an ounce of regret and this shook him even more. He was so used to being rejected because of what he was, or used for what he was, that he cruelly missed the point of Elpis affections. She never had a hidden agenda with him and genuinely cared about the SIN. He realized that even in the throes of passion, she was being true to herself.

« It should end quickly and nicely Pride. I do know you do not share my feelings and it is okay. »

« It is not. You are crying because of me. » He pointed out, but she shook her head and cleaned the few tears that escaped from her eyes.

« It is okay. We can't fight who we are. I am a primeval goddess and you are a SIN. What was I thinking when I fell for you? You are to be my enemy and we are to fight one another someday during a war I wouldn't want. We are doomed either way...so it is very welcome if you don't love me back so you wouldn't be in pain if we were to battle. I would be easily resolved to fighting you.. if we were to battle. » She sounded detached for the very moment, and Pride noticed that she was lying to herself and to him. Torn at the sight of his beloved being tormented by her emotions, he grabbed her hand and pulled her into a tight embrace.

« Fear not, beloved. Fear not because your feelings are returned. It took me a while to realize I was experiencing love. It took me too long to open my eyes. It took you to come before me with a broken heart and resignation. » Still shocked that he actually acknowledged his feelings, the goddess of Hope grabbed his clothes and shook her head.

« You could have talked to me about it. I would have helped you through this. Pride, I know you don't experience things the way I do. I know we are different from one another.. but I am willing to walk half-way if you meet me there too. Together we can understand each other. Together we can learn from one another and grow. I... feel relieved you do feel the same. » She added while streams of tears were covering her delicate face. He stroked it and petted her hair, she styled in a pink afro.

« I am now.. I will walk all the way with you, hand in hand beloved. We are different and our relationship is unique. All I know is that I can't and won't accept a world without you. »

« What about our families? The SINS would never accept me because they think I am changing you. »

« I will deal with them. » He said with resolve in his voice.

« What about my family? They will hunt you down... I-I won't let it happen. » Her voice faltered and he tightened his embrace.

« Let them come. I will show them why I am the most fearsome of the seven SINS. »

« I.. I hope we won't have to come to such an extreme but I will always be by your side beloved. »

« So will I, beloved. » He replied to her.

He would always remember the day she claimed her feelings for him but he would never forget the nights of passion they shared either. He felt the craving for her supple flesh, for her muffled moans and the warmth and slickness of her inner walls. He felt the need to grab her hair and pull it, of sinking his fingers into the flesh of her plump bottom and make her arch her back in response. His bed felt empty, her scent was gone after millennia without her presence and all that was of her was her meatsuit he luckily found before she died. He would never tell her about those memories unless she brought them in a conversation, not because he was ashamed, but because he was extremely possessive of these and refused that anyone, not even her reincarnation, had access to these. Yet, he knew she had those dreams and given how curious she seemed to be, she would ask about it one way or the other and he would delight himself in watching her embarrassed reactions to the voluptuous and rich intimacy that linked him to the goddess trapped within her.

happy 7th anniversary Asma!

7 is supposed to be a lucky number, isn't it? She's been around for a little more than 7 years, but let's not embarrass ourselves with details. 7 is young, 7 is just the beginning. You already know how important she is to me so I'm not going to repeat it there. Asma is 7 years old and to have been alive and well for so long is already a miracle in itself. I thought I wouldn't have been able to get there, I am still battling that poisonous thought from time to time, the one that cripples me and prevents me from going further. Funny how life changed in such little time. 7 years is nothing, it went like a snap of a finger and yet I conquered so many things in so little time. 7 is the beginning. The fresh start. This year I am acknowledging my vision, I am giving myself the credit of my hard work. At least I am trying. This year isn't a turning point but it's a good time to look back and see all the ladders I have already climbed.

The road is a long one, and I should trust my skills a lot more than I do now. I will always learn and always improve. 7 seems so long when you think of it. So many years of suffering, so many of victories, so many of acknowledgment. 7 years is BIG. When you think of it, of how it started, 7 years felt impossible and yet here they are. 7 years feels like growing up or maturing. It all comes down to what you truly are at heart and what you truly want. Being blindfolded and kept in the dark for so long was not enough to stop me from claiming it: I am an artist. Art is my everything. From my writings to my drawings, to the way I experience life. I had several experiences that all showed me this was my path and yet for so long I kept ignoring them. I won't anymore. I'm a realist though and we all need to eat and pay our bills but I wouldn't feel ashamed anymore: I am an artist. I am already seen as such by my peers and boy 7 years is still nothing so I am humbled down.

7 years of passion and love. Love for the character, from me and from others. Love for myself. Love for my friends (old and new). Love for myself. I am celebrating my baby today but I am also celebrating me, to break a

chain and start anew. To congratulate me for the superhuman effort it takes to stand up every morning, suffer through the day and find some solace in the little gorgeous things. And also because after a very rough year, I am breathing again and feeling hopeful once more. It's my struggle and I am not going to go into details but it feels good and it's a wonderful day today for me and my relatives and my loving friends. 7 years of gratitude as well. For that love I received, the true genuine love I will always embrace. For the support as well. Thank you for believing in me and in Asma. Thank you.

7 is the end. The end of a cycle. 7 is a beginning: we're going out of the comfort zone. Step by little step. This year is definitely a challenging one. Things are being set in motion, slowly maturing. I shall not let you down like you didn't let me. I shall not let her down like she never let me. I shall not let myself down like I so used to. 7 is the end. 7 is there!

Happy birthday Asma! May your 7th birthday announce the beginning of much more!

I love ya'll! <3

S.O.A: Jessica x Asma : Drunken doll

A/N: Jessica and Asma never really had « the talk ». so this is the talk! The scene wouldn't want to quit my mind so here you are! It's harsh though, you're warned.

Jessica belongs to my friend! do NOT use her! This version of Asma is mine as well!

xxxxxxxxxxxxx

She knocked at the front door, hard. Her plump lips called out for her friend relentlessly as she urgently wanted to see the brunette. Jax was out of town and the boys were at Opie's so Jessica was alone. She heard the deafening noise and a screeching sound made by her friend who was yelling her name at the top of her lungs and given the intonation, she realized that Asma was drunk. It shook her up and without hesitation, the SAMCRO Queen quickly opened the door. Asma yanked her head back and crossed her arms over her chest in a defensive position. What on Earth brought her to her friend's home if it wasn't that stupid urge to actually talk to someone she could trust? Asma drank her soul tonight out of desperation and she couldn't feel more miserable than she was.

« Here you are! Finally !!! » A bottle of Jack Daniels was in her hand and she pointed her finger at her friend. The pink head barely could stand up and Jessica knew she was too wasted for her own good and might end up puking. « I kept calling you! For god's sake were you sleeping or what? »

« Asma ?! What happened? » Her voice was firm but concern crept out and if Asma wasn't so drunk, she would have noticed but she was so it went past her head. A dark chuckle escaped from the tattoo artist's lips and she walked into her home.

« What didn't happen you mean? Because we can make a LOOOOONG LIST of the shit that never happened! » She said taking another gulp at her bottle. She let out a groan and took another big gulp of the burning liquid.

Jessica was alarmed, mostly because she knew how much Asma was struggling against her alcoholism. They talked about it, Jess even helped her join the AA of the town and offered to become her sponsor but Asma refused to lay such a burden on her shoulders. The pink haired lady didn't want to talk about the reasons she started to drink and she refused to open her wounds but it became harder since Elias entered her life and she was forced to move in Charming. Jessica had no idea of what was tormenting her friend but she knew it had to be a deep wound. The brunet wrapped her bathrobe around her frame tighter and crossed her arms over her chest, informing Asma that she would not let her down, whether she liked it or not.

« Give me that bottle.  You drank enough! » Her voice was commanding and under any different circumstances, it would at least, would have made Asma think twice but as drunk as she was, the pink head refused to listen.

« No ! NO !! » Asma kept her bottle close to her frame and shook her head. « I can't give you Mr. Jack... I can't give you my only loyal friend. »

« I am your friend.....You don't need Mr.Jack. Give me the bottle. » Asma shook her head and walked towards the living room.

« Yes you are my friend and he is my friend too! If I give him to you I won't be able to drink and I need to drink! I DESERVE to drink! » She groaned painfully while taking another gulp. Jessica, still alarmed and now stiff as wood walked towards her friend.

« Asma! Please ! Give me that bottle! You're hurting yourself! »

« How do you do it uh Jess? How do you build all of that? You have a-a-a house! You have adopted kids! You have a great fiancé! He'd die for you-you know? » Asma mumbled while walking in zigzag. Jessica furrowed her brows and shook her head.

« Luck  I guess? I worked hard for this relationship and you know that! There's no fairy tale here! Asma ! »

« YES! There IS !!! I'm not saying you don't deserve to be happy and all that shit! Of course, you do! But when I look at you.. when I look at you, at times it makes me realize how much of a piece of shit I am myself! I will never have what you have! I'd kill to be in your shoes. That's what I was drinking to tonight! To be in your shoes for a day, heck even an hour! »

She missed a step and fell on her flat, unwillingly dropping the bottle that broke into shards next to her. Jessica hurried next to her and knelt next to Asma who remained on the floor. « I told you... you should have given me that bottle. Are you injured? » She asked in a worried tone. The pink head's words didn't go unnoticed but Jessica couldn't correct her friend. Asma was blissfully ignorant of her true occupation and of the dangers she was facing on a daily basis. She didn't know about the times Jessica nearly died, she didn't know about the Knights, about Crowley, and about how dangerous Jax life actually was. Jessica was sparing her friend and decided that keeping her into the dark would actually save her life but tonight was a battle the raven-haired beauty was not prepared to fight. Asma groaned painfully and curled her fingers into fists.

« I broke it.... I broke it !!  Shit !! I broke it! » She was panicking and she kept hitting the floor. Her voice broke and she started to whine. « There goes my life! » She rolled on her side, to look at Jessica with a sad look on her face, tears were filling her eyes but she still wasn't crying. Deep inside she felt pathetic. All these months Asma really tried not to show this side of her to her only friend in this shithole and yet tonight, she wasn't able to stop herself. « I broke it! I broke it! Jessica ! » She said, unfocused. Jessica quickly looked at her friend and noticed she wasn't injured so she grabbed her and had her sit on the floor. « I broke it Jess... I broke my life. »

« There you go. Asma. I'm taking you to the bathroom. I'll give you a shower alright?  You need to sober up. I'll give you a shower and I'll give you some coffee and something for a massive headache you're going to have. » Asma was hysterical, she first was yelling and now, she couldn't help but sob without actually having tears rolling down her cheeks.

« I'm sorry. I'm so sorry... I'm so sorry. I fucked up. I fucked up tonight like I fuck up everything else....You don't have to do that, let me on your floor, that's where I belong! » She said while resisting Jessica's lift. « I'm so sorry. I'm so sorry. » She sounded in distress and she actually was. Asma wasn't a happy alcoholic, instead, she was pretty much the opposite. Sincere and sad, it almost felt like she was an open book on her miseries. Jessica had dealt with drunkards before but never with the sad types, so she was nervous.

« You don't belong there. You know it's not true. » She said while sitting next to Asma and holding her against her frame. « What happened tonight Asma? You've been sober for all these months. What happened that made you drink again? »

« I fucked up that's why! » She answered with a newfound energy before derailing again in non-sensical words. « I am not even able to keep someone by my sides! I'm taking the leftovers and the crumbs Elias wants to feed me..... and I'm okay with it! All of my hopes and dreams went down the gutter.. my life has no sense. Why am I even around today? » She said, biting back a sob. « He'll find me again.. he'll take me away. I think I'll let him do as he pleases. He'd say 'you deserve it anymore, you broke my heart ' and I would say 'yes' because I did. I left him... because he ruined my legs and gave me a limp. » She started to chuckle darkly before she tried to set herself free from her friend. Jessica eyes grew wide at the revelations made by her friend and quickly tried to keep her by her side.

« Asma! I'm taking you to the bathroom alright? I'm taking you to the bathroom and we're going to sober you up. »

« Sober me up? I don't want to. » Jessica held onto her and shook her head.

« You have to. We can't have a proper conversation when you're drunk like that. » Asma shook her head.

« It was a mistake for me to come here! I don't want to talk! I DON'T WANT TO TALK! » She tried to stand up but fell back so Jessica held her with one arm and helped herself back onto her feet before she could lift Asma up. She struggled against her and shook her head before finally giving up. « I don't want to talk! »

« What are you so afraid of? » Jessica finally asked, while dragging her to the bathroom. « Talking is good Asma. You clearly need to talk. »

« It hurts! It hurts to speak ! » the pink haired tattoo artist said while shaking and on the verge of crying. « I don't want to be in pain....I don't want to face it. Jess don't let me do it alone. »Her voice broke harder as they finally entered the bathroom. Asma removed her ballerinas and Jess opened the shower.

« I am here! You're not alone. You'll never be alone Asma. I'll enter with you in the shower okay? We're going to do this together! » She said, patiently turning the water on, once she was sure Asma and she were in the shower. « We're going to do this together alright? I'm with you, I won't leave your sides. »

« Please... Please....Don't leave me... » -Jessica nodded and gave her a soft and warm smile-

Cold water hit their bodies and caused Asma to scream and shake. As her hair became wet and her clothes clung to her body, Asma started to cry and slowly dropped to her knees and later on her heels. She was crying loud and Jessica held her against her frame and petted her hair. There was such a violent pain that was held back by Asma that it almost became surreal for the SAMCRO Queen. It was a side of her Jessica never got to see until now and it was a raw and heated moment for both of them. A turning point as they would say.in the darkness of the bathroom, only lightened by the moonlight, Jessica tried her best to comfort her friend in her shell-shocked state of mind. She felt Asma cling to her and wrap her arms around her shoulders as if she was afraid her friend would leave her in such an ugly moment. Jessica furrowed her brows and tried to make sense of what she heard. She did mention Elias, which was a complicated relationship Asma told her about but that other person she talked about? Jessica never heard of them and could perceive that it actually was a bad person.

It took about an hour before Asma did sober up and Jessica dared to move in order to turn the water off. She helped Asma stand up and quickly gave her a towel to dry herself up while she would look for fresh and dry bathrobes to give her and put on herself. Once both were dry, the brunette took Asma out to the kitchen again where she grabbed a broom and cleaned the broken mess left by the bottle of jack. Asma was sitting quietly on a stool and stared at the table. Jessica came back, put some water to boil in order to make a nice teacup for both of them and sat next to her friend. She held her hand as tight as she could. Wet strands of pink hair were clinging on Asma's face when she turned to her left to stare at her friend with a confused and ashamed gaze.

« I'm sorry for earlier. I was a mess when I showed up at your doorstep. I shouldn't have. »

« Yes, you should! You are in great pain Asma and I never noticed it until you showed up tonight. What..uh.... » She paused for a while and then continued « ... I'm here for you. I'm always going to be there for you. You know that? » -Asma nodded slowly.-

« It's me.... I didn't want anyone to see me like this. Usually, I get drunk alone in my house. I thought I could do that tonight but I couldn't. I c-c-came to your place and... I-I-I didn't want you to see me like this...I'm sorry. » She bit back a sob and looked away.

« What made you drink tonight?  I heard you talk about Elias. He's not good for you babe... »
She didn't want to tell her that he went on his own revenge spree and semi-joined the crows so he could have information about his archnemesis. He was hell-bent on revenge and destruction, how could he build anything with Asma ? Especially since Jessica realized how truly broken she was.

« I know... but he's all I have. He's the only one who's not talking to me because he feels charitable and the only one to have shown interest so far.... My brother was in a gang. I'm not exactly a prime beauty. » She chewed at her bottom lip. « I am alone, I feel alone and he gives me comfort... but... he would never open up to me because he's mourning his family. I can't blame him. I can't....I just.... » She took a deep breath and looked back into Jessica's eyes. « I feel pathetic you know? Because that really is all I can afford.. a man who would never love me. At least he's decent. It does hurt..still..... » She sighed and shook her head.

« You don't have to punish yourself. I ain't saying Elias isn't a decent man but babe... you deserve better. » Was all Jess could come up with, without selling out the crows or even her and Elias involvement in it. She bit back her tongue, cursing under her breath for not being able to come up with more comforting words. Asma shrugged and shook her head.

« He was my shot at a decent life....He's way better than the man.... » Asma became stiff and she swallowed a lump.

« The man you talked about when you were drunk right? You said he ruined your legs? » Jessica wanted to walk on eggs but she broke one and Asma's gaze widen so much that she thought her friend might be scared and try to run away. Asma shifty-eyed with her and cringed so hard that it basically felt like a slap in Jessica's face. She never saw Asma be afraid of someone like this before. Her friend usually was a big talker and handled herself pretty much fine but she was starting to panic and held onto Jessica's hand tighter ;

« You wouldn't want to sit in the same room as his. He's insane... He's insane and dangerous! » Asùa shifty-eyed again with her friend and started to shake nervously. « He.... He was a good boy you know? My childhood friend. Mom loved him, dad died before he could meet him....he would have approved. It felt natural for us to be together so when he asked me out, I said yes! We were happy! I shit you not, we really were! Until he proposed... I agreed and he switched on the very next day. » Her voice died as she finished her sentence and took a gulp of the warm tea.

« I didn't know... I'm so sorry. We don't have to talk about him if you don't want to. You.. Is he the reason you drank tonight? »

« I can handle Elias and the non-thing we have going on... but I received a golden rose. It's.... his signature... He knows where I live! He knows... and he's coming for me. I have to pack and leave. I have to...I have to pack and leave tonight! » Asma nearly fell off of her chair as she started to panic but Jessica held her hand tighter.

« You don't have to live your life on the run. You don't have to run away from him. Asma, I can protect you. You came here for a reason, not just Charming but to my house and into my life. »

« This isn't a burden I want to lay on your shoulders. This isn't what I wanted. THIS isn't who I wanted to be. That man... that man ruined me. I was so bright and with dreams and he crushed it to the ground, turned it into ashes, turned me into this alcoholic mess....I don't want you to meet him, I don't want you to meethim.. please, let me run away, let me go. It'll be as if I never entered your life, you'll forget me as soon as I'll leave. » She said in a short breath, looking around as she realized that he might be around and might be watching her. Jessica held her hand tighter and shook her head, now more resolved than ever to take that man down and offer a true chance to build herself back to Asma. She then grabbed her other hand, thus forcing the pink haired artist to look at her, with streams of tears rolling down her cheeks.

« I know you're afraid that like I told you before, you are not alone. I.. I'm not the soft person you think I am. I am not alone either. I have people backing me up and they can help you too. We can help you and we will. If he's the reason you started to drink again.... » Her face took a sinister gaze. « ..Then we shall remove him from your life completely. I can see how much he hurt you...Even all the things you didn't tell me. It enrages me already to know someone hurt you like that, but you don't have to run away. You came here for a reason, your brother took you here for a reason. We met for a reason. You're not a burden. You never were to me. You are a FRIEND and as such, I will protect you. »

Asma looked at her while she was still crying, unsure if what she heard actually happened. It was the first time she barely opened up about Oscar and the reaction was so different from what she imagined that Asma was lost and confused. Instead of rejecting her, Jessica was embracing her and the fact she tried to protect her, was too much to bear for the pink haired lady who nodded, filled with a newfound hope. She held Jessica's hands and brought them to her lips in order to kiss them with gratitude. Jessica smiled, herself tearing up because of the overwhelming intensity that filled the room and she nodded as if to reassure Asma and confirm her own motivation to help her friend. She saw the brightest sides of Asma but now confronted to her ugly ones, she realized she didn't want to leave her on her own. Quietly, the brunette removed her left hand from Asma's and pulled her into a tight hug, and patted her back until she was sure her friend had calmed down. Her eyes never left the clock on the wall, as she was counting the hours before she would go to see the Knights and the crows and talk to them about that « Oscar » who was threatening the very life of her friend. She had no idea of how vicious Oscar really was but she would get to have tasted very soon.

Max and Phoenix (Assassin!)

A/N: So, this is not in our canon at all, I just had so much fun thinking of Phoenix, that I accidentally realized I included Max with it. So it's just that, a happy accident:D It doesn't impact our thing in any way:)

SO MANY TYPOS!!!! I'M SORRY I WAS A RUSH!!!! THERE IS NO TIME FOR ME TO CORRECT ALL OF THEM, PLEASE FORGIVE ME!

Max belongs to my friend :) do not steal

xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

It happened so fast, likely less than a second. A minute ago they were arguing because of her reckless attitude that almost cost her her life and he let out a very dry comment. She didn't even remember what he said that made her snap and she punched him. The minute she did, her eyes took a different expression and when she thought he would retort with a slap of his own, he grabbed her shoulders, pinned her against the wall, and crashed his lips against hers. He gave her a kiss instead!

The first time he pressed his lips against hers felt like they both were hit by lightning. It sent shivers down their spine and both pulled away from one another. Her eyes were searching for his so she would make sure it wasn't a dream but instead was really happening. Her golden orbs seemed to flash brightly as she lowered her head and grabbed his jaw with her hand to plant another kiss on his lips. He grunted against her lips and wrapped one strong arm around her waist. It wasn't supposed to happen and he wasn't supposed to give her another kiss and yet, Max realized he couldn't resist the urge. Asma pulled away from him as she realized she was enjoying it too much and stared at him with an intense gaze.

He was unreadable, as always. How could he be any different? Max lost so much in his life already and decided he would not start over. He would never be vulnerable again. It worked for him for decades but she entered his life like a hurricane. She busted open the heavy metal walls he built to protect his heart and now that she was there, breathing right next to him, he didn't want to let go of her. Tonight, she almost died because she didn't care about her safety and he realized that he could have lost her too. The thought made his insides churn as he refused to see it happen but he wasn't able to voice it. All he knew was that images of his dead wife crossed his mind as they came back to their hotel room. It shook him up enough to have him yell at her for being stupid and taking risks she could have avoided. It was unlike him to have fits of anger and it shocked the ebony assassin who stared at him with a shocked expression on her face. Why did he care? Why did he want her to live through another day?

The brunette let his calloused fingers brush over the soft skin of the small of her back and run up her spine, eliciting a moan from the woman who shut her eyes tight and bit her bottom lip. Her hands roamed over his large shoulders and she slowly planted a kiss on the crook of his neck. He cared and she couldn't understand. In her life, filled with deaths and tragedies, only one man ever felt love for her and treated her as a person instead of a weapon. That was until she realized that the love of her life betrayed her and used her feelings to set her on a killing spree and wipe out the competition. A tool. She was nothing more than a tool for him and the revelation prompted Asma Jensen to never let anyone reach out to her heart. That was until she met Max and they both investigated the same man: The « love of her life » also known as Phaser.

Tonight was supposed to be the end game. They found Phaser's last known location and she decided to go and slaughter everyone in there, including Phaser and ultimately herself. She prayed that her former lover's wish wasn't fulfilled and that she and he were the only remnants of the League of Shadows, the very organization that turned them into living weapons. She made copies on a USB key for Max to send to the CIA and also the media to shine a light on the League and the corruption within the FBI. It turned out that Phaser anticipated her actions and already escaped. He sent her into a booby trap and she merely escaped from an explosion, thanks to Max but not without having bruises over her chest and her left hand badly burnt. He was injured but that first kiss awoke a passion within him he barely could contain anymore.

« …....... » She wasn't able to speak yet but her eyes were filled with questions that died at the back of her throat. The odd pink hair was still cascading onto her back, filthy and wet from their previous mission. Her cheeks were soiled with dirt and dust due to the explosion and her eyes were irritated but she didn't care. He kissed her! She had her free hand still holding his jaw when she planted another kiss on his lips, her shivers intensified and goosebumps covered her chocolate skin but his warm hand, the one he still pinned her left hand against the wall, tightened its grip on her. « Ouch... » It broke the moment and she quickly pushed him away, with one strong pressure on his shoulder that had him growl a little bit at the sensation. It stung! They were in bad shape. He pulled away, reconsidering what had just happened, and went back to sit on the edge of the bed.

Asma looked at him. That was a non-moment for both of them but at the same time, so much happened that she couldn't process. He looked at her with a dark glare, eyeing her smooth but bruised legs, exposed since she took her pants off. Her black panties merely contained her curves. Her taut and muscular belly was covered only by the shirt she put on as soon as they came back. His eyes stared at her gorgeous face, bruised and dirty from the explosion and then he looked down at himself. He was in very bad shape too and while he only wore his trousers, his bruised torso didn't leave much to guess that he needed to rest as well. He too was stained with ash and dirt from their previous mission as well as light cuts on his arms and a first-degree burn on his back. He didn't even tend to his injuries yet and the pain was slowly kicking back now that their adrenaline was wearing off.

« Shit! SHIT SHIT SHIT !! » Asma groaned as she searched in her bag for a cigarette. She couldn't find any to calm her nerves so she groaned even louder and grabbed the trashier she sent flying across the room. It broke in a muffled sound against the wall and hit the carpet along with her complaints. « I need to smoke! » She laid on her back, next to his figure, and looked at the ceiling.

« Are you fucking kidding me? » -He snorted-

« Do I look like I'm kidding? » She groaned back at him. « Don't give me that shitty look! I need to smoke! »

« Too bad you're short on cigs then! » He mocked her before running his fingers through his thick black hair. « Seriously what the fuck happened there? »

« The hell I know! Phaser plans ahead! He's smart! He's a fucking genius! He knew I'd find him, maybe he even let me find him. He led me there, let me take the data, and intended to kill me. He knew the USB key would survive enough for police to find it. Shit! We've been played! » She hid her face with her left palm and bit back a sob. He could feel how disappointed she was but he didn't know if it was because she didn't die or because the mission failed or both.

« …......... we're going to get him.» He assured her but she hid her face with her other hand and shook her head. « Asma... I'm serious. »

« Idon'tfuckingcare! » She mumbled in her thick accent. He chuckled because he knew that when she was talking that fast, she didn't mean her words and he patted her knee with his large hand.

« Yes, you do. » Max furrowed his brows as he really didn't want to let go of that moment they had just shared. He was wondering why it made him feel uncomfortable all of a sudden and tried to fight the urge to address it. « Asma....Are we going to avoid the elephant in the room? »

«......... Why not? » She asked in a faint voice as her eyes kept staring at the ceiling.

« I don't know. »

He was blunt, he didn't know what that kiss meant. There was the obvious sexual attraction he had towards her and that unresolved sexual tension between the two of them that went on for months but tonight, he didn't kiss her because of the rush of adrenaline. If he did, then Max would have been more demanding and she would have felt it in his moves. No. He kissed her because he actually cared about her and thought he could have lost her right here and then. He cared! As the realization hit him like a truck, Asma rolled onto her side and stared at the white wall before her. That kiss really shocked her for she noticed something she thought was gone forever. Her will to live. Max came into her life by accident and shook her so much that he obliterated the walls she so carefully built around her heart. He was in her mind every day, his safety, his survival, and his smirks. She always smiled when a scent reminded her of him, always chuckled at the thought of his angry face when she would play him. Her heart skipped several beats when his lips crashed into hers and since then, his taste had been at the tip of her tongue and she couldn't get rid of the thought of their kiss.

« …....We don't have to name it, you know? » He began, noticing she became stiff like a wooden.

« You don't understand Max. It's a waste... A waste of time! » She clenched her fists and groaned painfully. «Look at us! Look at ME !!! »

« What's wrong with you? » He replied with a dry tone. « Don't begin with the shit excuse you give others! » She was furious! As he pushed her into a corner and forced the young assassin to actually face her own emotions, Asma panicked and quickly stood up and walked to the bathroom where she locked herself up. Max knocked on the door. « STOP BEING CHILDISH !! » He yelled, knocking over and over but she didn't open the door, instead she covered her ears because of the noise and kept yelling « NO ! » to him.

« OPEN THE GODDAMN DOOR! » He yelled, louder and exasperated at the same time. She hit the door with her head and wrapped her arms around her legs.

« You don't get it... Do you? » Max had stopped hitting against the door and instead leaned his forehead against the door.

« What is there for me to understand? You don't want this, you simply have to say it. »

« I know... The problem isn't that I don't want to... I liked our kiss... I wanted...more. » She admitted with a muffled voice. His heart skipped a beat and he cleared his throat.

« What's the problem then? » His voice was lighter than it used to be. She could tell he was trying his best to understand her and was willing to open his heart to her but at that very moment, Asma was terrified of his reaction, once he would know the truth about her. He knew bits and pieces about the Shadow League and her part as an assassin but that was about it.

She made him sit on the bed and in one final attempt at keeping him away from her, Asma told him her story. She went on and on about the massacre of her family and later of the village she grew up in. She told him about the years of conditioning and abuse she received from the Shadow League. She told him about the murders starting when he only was 5 years old, the cruelty of their training, and the later years when they had her kill people regardless of their gender and age. The blood of the innocents she had on her hands, Phaser, the love of her life who played her like a fool, and how she wiped out the League unbeknownst to her that she was doing Phaser's job.

He listened to her story, carefully making mental notes to everything she said to him and the more he listened to her, the more he realized that she was a victim. She's always been one and thought that the only way to keep control of her life and make her very own decisions about herself would be to die, he was determined to not let her achieve that goal. She shared elements of his own story: the thirst for revenge, the betrayal, the haunting feeling that never left him. His life was bleak and gloomy and yet she entered it and for the first time, he thought he found a rightful partner. He found in her something he thought was missing for him forever and she was planning to take it away from him.

But it was too young, it was too soon and although he might have had feelings for the pink-haired lady, Max didn't know if he wanted to act on them. His vengeance was the only important thing for him but because of her, he caught himself thinking of the future. He wanted to build again instead of destroying but he only wanted to do it with her. Asma's story didn't drive him away but actually got him more determined to show to both himself and her that they could beat the odds and actually make themselves the life they deserved and craved. Asma wasn't that hopeful.

« Now you know... »

« I do. » He replied, searching into his bag for a pair of cigs he would share with her. Asma left the bathroom and closed the door behind her. Her face had a melancholic expression on it and she avoided looking at him but he threw a cig at her, prompting her to catch it before she noticed what it was and then to walk towards him so he could light it up.

« Thanks... » She said as he lit her cigarette up. He looked at her and quietly grabbed her so she would sit on his lap. She let him go and looked at the ceiling once again. « I'm not sure I can build anything with these hands. They're soaked in the blood of the innocent... killing is what I do for a living... It's all I have ever done. » She sighed deeply. « How can I build something with you? »

« Well...... it could start with a kiss. » He jokingly said as he gently took her chin, made her look at him, and gently brushed his lips against hers. Both knew they wouldn't be able to go too far that night due to their injuries but that kiss along with the others was enough for tonight. It was full of promises of better tomorrows.. full of Hope. Full of Life!

you're a survivor

You thought you were broken, that the wound was so deep that it would never heal.
you thought you were broken, that nothing good would ever come from you. That you were ruined from within and forever.
You thought everyone would see what you tried to hide so desperately. You thought it would be marked on your skin, written all over your body with Red Iron.
And you've never been so wrong!
From your invisible wounds, life grew and filled the holes left into your being with beauty.
From the wasteland that once was your heart, a jungle came to be. Untamed, proud, thick and lush. A parkour you only open to the ones who truly loved you.
You survived! It might seem like nothing but it is everything.
You survived! And this is what people would see if you let them in.
You survived! And you turned this violence into something else,
You fill the heart and lives of your loved ones with the love you were deprived so harshly and this is turning ugliness into beauty.
You could fall into the pits of rage and nobody would blame you.
And fall into the hell of insecurity and fear and they would know
In fact, you will. Sometimes the memory would drive you insane.
And you will feel everything, hear everything, see everything
as if it was happening all over again. And the wound would open.
And you will bleed. It would happen and they would know.
And they won't blame you for that because they understand.
Hands or shoulder handed to you in sheer support do exist.
you see it every day with the people you call family.
Small gestures become incredible feats, for the one who once thought they would never be worthy.
This love transformed you, engulfed you and nursed you to health.
And their support is never fading away.
Oh, wonderful souls!!
You thought you were broken and to no use.
you thought you were nothing
but you were wrong!
You're a survivor, capable of anything!
Remember this in your darkest hours
Remember me, your loving soul
Remember yourself with pride and love
