COPG lore : She found him !

A/N: As usual, I've been working a bit on our lore <3 introducing a bunch of new characters and added a little bit of backstory for our lovebirds. Hopefully, you will also like this one my dear <3 <3 <3 

these characters belong to me, don't use them/steal. Pride belongs to my friend <3

She found him. Her heart was in raptures because she found the man who haunted her dreams. Something awoke inside of her and she wasn't able to actually know what that was. Her eyes were wide open, her skin was covered with goosebumps and the hair on her arms was electric. She knew his face, dreamed of it for as long as she could remember and that feeling of contempt and joy that washed over her almost felt surreal. It didn't belong to her, it wasn't /her/ emotions. Yet, how could she explain it to someone else? How could she express herself and have them understand that it felt like a thousand years old reunion? Her hazel eyes were staring at him, who was standing in front of her seemingly unbothered by the cold weather.

« I have been looking for you for so long. I kept seeing you in my dreams and I didn't know if you were real or just a dream... but now... but now that you are in front of me, I realize that I don't know you. My heart can recognize you but my mind doesn't. I've never met you before.. am I crazy? »

No. She wasn't crazy. Her soul was still sealed within this human body and unable to escape from the eternal curse that was cast on her. It would take some time, more memories of their lives together before eventually, her feelings for him brought her back onto this plane of existence. But her divine heartbeat and it was heard miles away to another plane of existence, in the realm of the elder gods.

Ayasha « The watcher » was staring at the ruins of the golden fountain where one could have a look at any other worlds or planes of existence. She very often came near the fountain to catch a glimpse of her sister's current life and make sure the cycle of reincarnation wasn't broken. Her skin was made of gold and her eyes were bright and green with a green sclera. Her head was bald but she wore ornamental crowns made of diamonds and gold. Her upper half was left naked but decorated with a river of pearl necklaces and around her waist was attached a white cotton skirt, folded in the Egyptian fashion. She was sitting near the fountain when she heard the heartbeat. It happened only once but the noise was so loud that it made the realm of the elder gods shake for a minute. Her eyes grew wide and she stood up, alarmed that maybe her beloved sister woke up from her slumber so she searched for her soul, only to be unable to find it due to Pride's essence that was cloaking everything around him and hid him from the mirror. Panicked, Ayasha started to bit at her bottom lip. What was she going to do? Did the others feel it too?

She didn't have to wait too long for a lightning bolt to strike near her and her brother Ishtar « The Executioner. » to appear from it. He was tall, with a skin as dark as the night, peppered with white dots that made him look like a starry night. He had a long grey mane that was braided up to his waist. His eyes were blue with a white sclera and in his hand was a humongous ax he kept carrying along. He was wearing tight black pants with white patterns around the belt. He was the one who stabbed Elpis, the elder goddess of hope the minute he was aware of her romance with an original sin. He tried to talk her out of it, but she was deeply involved with that filth. She tried to appeal to his mercy and convince him that Pride and the rest of the sins weren't as bad as legends wanted to make them but he didn't listen. They had the power to destroy gods and quite succeeded with the Olympians and he didn't want her to bring a potential murderer into their house. The idea of it made him nauseous so when she told him she was expecting her first child, he lost his mind. He destroyed the abomination and stabbed his sister with the Blade of Destiny, the only weapon able to kill an elder god and forged by their all-fathers arch enemy I'krann « the cursed one. ». He cast a spell on it so she would be trapped within a human body and forced to reincarnate for eternity but that heartbeat brought him near Ayasha. She was starting to break the cycle.

« Did you hear brother? » Ayasha spoke with a worried tone. He nodded and looked into the broken fountain. « Do you think she would come to us? She might turn into the goddess of Despair.. she might want to avenge herself. »

« Don't fret little sister. She hasn't broken her chains as of now. We still have time ahead of us. »

« Time?  What for? » Ayasha furrowed her brows and put her hand on his shoulder. He was tensed, she could feel it.

« I can't seem to find her! There's only one reason that could prevent me from seeing her. Did she find him? » Ayasha swallowed a lump and took a few steps back. « ANSWER ME !! » He yelled!

« She.. she just has. She just has. That's why we heard her heartbeat... I'm scared. What we did was wr--- »

« Don't you say it. I did what I had to do to protect our kind. She's the one who fell in love with that filth. NOW, if he's around we have to make sure they don't get back together. We have to make sure she doesn't remember him. We could also very easily kill her in this lifetime and have her start all over again. Her soul is immortal as long as we don't use the Blade of Destiny. Ayasha... »

« yes, Ishtar? » He curled his hands into fists and looked at her.

« I have to return to our remaining brothers and sisters. We still have an ongoing war and very little of us remain. Make sure she doesn't remember him. Don't fail us. »

« I won't. I promise. » He kissed her forehead and turned into a lightning bolt that went away. Ayasha looked at the fountain and sighed deeply. Part of her wanted Asma to finally be happy and at peace but she was too afraid of her wrath to let her go. She would make sure, her human envelop die before she could remember everything. She moved her hand over the fountain and summoned creatures of the darkness to go on Earth and possess four men who were specialists in assassinations with only one target in mind: Asma Jensen.

unrequited love is not safe: random thoughts

I used to believe there was a beauty in unrequited love, a safety net because I already knew the ending. Was it an excuse to crash against the wall or to put a distance between people and me? was it an excuse so I could handle better the three moments of my life I let someone in and ended up devastated as a result? because frankly.. these people were a class A assholes.. borderline psychopath for one of them.

Unrequited love is not pretty. It's not even safe. Not when it's a never-ending destructive loop you choose because this way is safer. Not when you can't trust yourself enough to let someone in. Not when you're convinced that everything you'll do would only destroy the other and/or you for all you care.

so, because I'm the champion for falling for all the wrong people, it's better to watch at a distance until I come to terms with myself.

But I still have to say, you are one pretty temptation I don't know how to resist. One I'd eat with my afternoon tea without thinking about the calories because you make my whole self, tingle. Thank you for that. But I'd watch at a distance for both you and myself

Batman v superman: SPOILERS. Observation N°10: Birth and Rebirth

émoticône gr I invite you to read the previous 9 if you're interestedBirth and RebiSo, like I said, I'm just going to talk about what truly caught my attention in the movie. It's just flowing as it comes to my mind so forgive the lack of expertise. You don't have to agree with me of course, it's just me trying to explain why I love that movie.

I will finish with this one. because it's short and because I am getting really tired of thinking and writing XD

Birth: 

-the birth of Doomsday. He's the blood of Lex blood but ALSO like I said, the manifestation of his rage, anger, pain, and hatred. He also could embody the feelings of the people who hate on Superman or fear him or even fetishize him. (I think this word is misspelled)

-The Rebirth of Batman/Bruce Wayne: He strayed away from his usual self, from his self-imposed rule, from his moral code. He was the shadow of himself until Superman's humanity and sacrifice brought him back to his own humanity.; He is reborn at the end of the movie, learned from his mistakes, found a new purpose to live. it's so important and so symbolic. that ending was really interesting. I now know that

-Rebirth of Superman. He was born Kal-el but he was still a kid so he can't remember that. He was raised as Clark Kent, was born again as Kal-El in MoS and had to adjust himself to being both Kal-El and Clark Kent. When he finally found some balance (a false one if you take a closer look. please read my observation of Superman). He has to give up on everything AGAIN. face his humanity for once and for all and embrace Death. The most vulnerable thing he could have done was to die. The most humane thing he could have done was to sacrifice himself. He does so, he will be reborn. Not as Kal-El, not as Clark but as Superman. He would FINALLY be Superman once he comes back to life. it was necessary for him to finally achieve his ultimate goal. bring REAL Hope to people.

-Birth of the Justice League:

Do I even need to explain??? Early stages it is but it always began with the Trinity so. it's done émoticône grin

With this, I'm finally done with my analysis! I didn't think I could end up with 10 big stuff to talk about. I tried to tone it down and be short. I can't even think anymore émoticône smile I appreciate the support and you being all gentle and respectful émoticône smile if you liked it I'm even happier émoticône grin Thank you

Batman v superman: SPOILERS Observation N°9: The Cameos

So, like I said, I'm just going to talk about what truly caught my attention in the movie. It's just flowing as it comes to my mind so forgive the lack of expertise. You don't have to agree with me of course, it's just me trying to explain why I love that movie.

I would not talk about Wonder Woman because I talked about her in previous posts. if you're interested, please read them.

Aquaman:

It's a really short one. We don't see much. It's more visual than anything else. We see him underwater (well, Arthur is the King of the Ocean.) at what seemed like the wrecked ship. We're in the 21st century and MANY ships sunk and along with them, the seas were polluted. Do you remember the Erica affair? how much of a disaster this was? (an ecological one). I think Aquaman is tired of humans right now. They kill, over-fish, extinct species, maim poor animals (am I right Sharks?), pollute his domain. He's not really willing to welcome them. We can clearly see he's menacing, charismatic, and reclusive. He appeared like a mythical creature (Lochness monster style) and rejected that man as if he was nothing. we can see him demonstrate his strength and I LOVED IT! so powerful and the sound.... it gave me chills! This Arthur is darker, edgier, almost similar to that Justice League Unlimited episode with the Aquaman who had long hair and a hook as a hand. Finally, he gave him the respect he deserved! émoticône heart He might be the last one they would try to convince because he's most likely NOT going to accept easily émoticône grin

Flash:

(I must say, I am not fond of the actor. I don't like him because I'm too fond of Grant Gustin .. >> Sue me!)

He makes two cameos. First, what seemed like a dream but really just him traveling through time and warning Bruce about the danger the world would face if they don't "unite". He's desperate, in a hurry, scared. You KNOW the world he comes from is terrible! We know the enemy they would fight is terrifying (and the scene before let you understand we're talking about Darkseid here!) We don't see him very well which keeps him mysterious.

We know he's hidden. He's a meta-human in hiding after all. We don't see him very well, (so I don't really know his face). but we know he's on the alert. He's witnessing a crime occurring at the supermarket he's at and he manages to save the man and incapacitate the thief! He's heroic but he's discreet. He's a hero in his heart. we can see he controls his ability. We can see he's been doing that for a while now. We also know he's been hiding ever since. He's mysterious but he's good. We still have to see but I think he might grow on me, maybe?

Cyborg:

Definitely, one of my favorite we get to see his origin story. the motherbox (super important element!) we get to see his pain, we get to see his father doing his very best to save him. We don't know much about him but we know he KNOWS pain. we can figure out that he's going to have a trouble being part human and part..... machine! We also see that whatever happened to him might have been REALLY gross. but we don't know much about him so I can't wait to see his movie émoticône grin

they say each member of the league means something. If SUperman is Hope, Batman is Justice, Wonder Woman is Peace what are the others? I wonder.

it's too early to know but I can't wait to have more material to think over.

Batman v superman: SPOILERS. Observation N°8 : Women

So, like I said, I'm just going to talk about what truly caught my attention in the movie. It's just flowing as it comes to my mind so forgive the lack of expertise. You don't have to agree with me of course, it's just me trying to explain why I love that movie.

We see 5 of them. I'm not going to go into biiiig details for these ones.

We have Martha: the mother
Lois: the lover
Senator/Wonder Woman: Woman in Power
Mercy: the loyal servant

Martha:

Well, ever since MoS, Martha Kent always played an important role. She didn't physically give birth to him, but she was always a source of comfort for Clark. She was the one who could keep him calm and the voice of reason. She's wise, she's loving, she is a guide in Clark's life. She is always trying to guide him the best she could and protect her son. But she's not overwhelming or a control freak. Martha respects Clark's need to become Superman, she encourages him to do so but she always gives him the choice. Nobody but Martha in MoS and BvS give Clark the choice to be whoever he wants to be. She's accepting of him as a whole.

She's also the mother Lex would want to have. he targets her to force Superman to do his bidding but he also gives her a chance to survive. a small window but still a chance to survive. She's Marie, the mother of Jesus (if we go that far in the metaphor and since it's REALLY the metaphor they went for in the movie.. it's not far stretched). She's very important to Clark. (remember how far he went to save her in MoS? how desperate he was when Lex told him he got Martha? He knelt, defeated in front of Lex. Martha is truly his world BUT she's not the only one.

Bonus point: She's a brave woman. Braver than most would think. She welcomed him and accepted him in spite of the danger that it might bring. She's not Wonder Woman strong, but she's a woman human émoticône heart

Lois: the lover.

Lois is definitely having a supporting role and an important one. she is a woman who wants answers and the truth. she's always been true to herself and true to Clark/Kal-El. she is persistent, stubborn in a good way, passionate about her job and cares a great deal about humanity. she's done so many things (she saved the world, created a bond with Superman, knows him more than anyone, except maybe his mother). She's close to Martha (which is important. no women's rivalry here! She also gave Superman so much support! especially at the end of MoS when she is the one who comforts him after he killed Zod. She is the one who helped him handle his new life and welcomes him in the new chapter of his life.post-Zodod). She is the one he confides into (except when he decided to leave because he was overwhelmed), his anchor to this world aside from his mother. The only other human being who accepted him with his flaws and his qualities. as a WHOLE. Lois is his confident, she is his future, she is so strong!

she's put into the action very often. (in MoS, when she escaped from the Kryptonian ship, figured out how to stop Zod, comforted Superman. In BvS when she tried to protect him by throwing away the spear and later when she tried to take it back after she realized it would help him defeat his enemy. She's his partner, his best friend, his only friend and of course the love of his life. She accepted to wear his ring after his death, thus showing her commitment to him. her love is still there and strong even if he died.

BONUS POINT: SHe didn't say I love you. He did. she is in love with him but has yet to say it. He knows though. He knows.

Senator/ Wonder Woman:

They really are women of power. Senator has actual political power and Wonder Woman has physical strength and skills (we don't know much about them for now)

Senator Kelly stood against evil (Lex Luthor) with her wits and her words. She was able to stood against him She knew he was dangerous and yet didn't back up She also tried to be fair and bring people together. She was reasonable (like I wish many politicians could be) but see how she ended? betrayed and killed by someone who had a different plan in mind? who thrived with hatred instead of love?

Wonder Woman stood against Doomsday. Against hatred and anger personified. She fought against Doomsday but used brutal force against him. No compassion, no love. She was about to leave but ended up choosing the fight.We also see her at the end of the movie, changed too. touched by Superman's sacrifice and his faith in humanity again. When you pay attention to her, you realize that she's distancing herself from mankind. She doesn't want to interfere with them but Bruce Wayne kinda forces it on her. unwillingly she has to cooperate with him. They do flirt but it's not serious. maybe a game, a little challenge but not serious. She still decided to leave until Doomsday arrived. Superman's first sacrifice (I believe he was nuked when she decided to intervene) motivated her enough to return to the battlefield. But it truly was Superman's death that reached out to her. He sacrificed himself i battle (hence why she decided to honour him like a warrior), but he also showed her that mankind was worth saving again. What happened that made her change her mind on humans? My guess? World War II. I'm pretty sure she went all: "mankind only wants to destroy and kill. i can't with them anymore!"

Mercy:

There's not so much to say about Mercy. But we can say that she's the living devoted loyal servant trope. She doesn't speak much, she understands Lex, she obeys him to the point of getting killed by him with a smirk. I haven't explored more this character but can say that she is completely disposable for Lex. just a pawn to use in his grand scheme. Maybe she's the way some men (or the men like Luthor) sees women? the eye-candy (sophisticated, gorgeous) obedient (she never contradicts Lex, never questions him) and efficient (all she did was flawless)

Batman v Superman: SPOILERS Observation N°7: Lex Luthor

So, like I said, I'm just going to talk about what truly caught my attention in the movie. It's just flowing as it comes to my mind so forgive the lack of expertise. You don't have to agree with me of course, it's just me trying to explain why I love that movie.

Lex was really a hard piece of work. I went through various feelings while watching him but as the movie went on, I suddenly started to understand him and it all became different. I know that many people grew up with the Bruce Timm version of the character but, he wasn't always like that. He was campy and whammy in Superman movies. SOOOO campy. and he was ridiculous when he first appeared and later on. and he had hair (didn't always start bald. in fact when he first appeared he lost his hair because of Superman and became his enemy because of that, basically.)

Let's Go émoticône grin

so we all know he's a major sociopath, megalomaniac and selfish. We also know he loves knowledge, he's scientifically curious and well-versed and of course, power-hungry. A real control-freak.

3 major points I want to talk about:

-His relationship with men
-His relationship with women
-His relationship with Superman/God

* His relationship with Men:

We know that Lex has a deep hatred for men. He despises them. He wants to ridicule them. We know it all starts with his father, whom he hates because he abused him. You can tell by the way he speaks of his father that Lex didn't grow in a loving home. He feared the man (was he beating him? I don't know. Was he humiliating him? probably! I think it was more a mix of neglect and little to zero concern about his kid. His son was a failure and Lex felt powerless against him, humiliated, unimportant. He was afraid of his father and didn't even MOVE a single piece of his dad's room until he decided to step up and BE himself! He moved his father's favorite piece (the painting) in an act of rebellion, self-establishment and also major power-trip. He distanced himself from his dad and became his own man.

He also humiliates other men. Remember the way he fed the gummy bear to that old man? old enough to be his dad? he treated him like a child like he was nothing and forced him to do as he pleased. He also toyed around with Batman. Batman wasn't a rival, he was a pawn AND a nuisance, so of course he wanted to use him and get rid of him. He used and humiliated the disabled man (Maybe he didn't give him his cheques and maybe he wrote on them so Bruce Wayne could see them and be maaaaaad enough to go fight Superman?)

-His relationship with women

We don't know what his mother did to him. Did she die when he was a kid? if so, he both respects her memory (hence why he tried to be a dashing young man with that senator. He tried to seduce her but failed so he switched). but he also hates her. (if she died when he was young, then she abandoned him to his father. She left him behind. she betrayed him. She should have been there and protect him but didn't.) so he wants to make her pay for leaving him behind.

or Maybe, if she didn't die, she could have just left and abandoned him? maybe she was scared of his ways and rejected him? Maybe she's still alive but wants nothing to do with him. The result is the same though. he hates women. He hates his mom and wants to humiliate her. (Hence why he killed the senator and humiliated her at the same time. That also explains why he didn't hesitate to sacrifice Mercy. she was devoted to him but he killed her anyway to serve his purpose. he also kidnapped Martha and wrote on her forehead the word "Witch". he dehumanized her so she could be killed because she was nothing. Let's remind everyone that she's the perfect mom. She loves her son in spite of this difference, loves and protects him while his own mother is nowhere to be seen. she's the mother he might have wanted to have. and while he humiliated Lois and threw her off of the rooftop.

But he also wants them to have a chance. (so I think if his mother died, then he wants to find a way to forgive her and if she didn't die, then he wants to give her a chance to fix her mistake). Martha hasn't killed straight away. so she could have a chance to survive her assault? Lois although he knew she would survive because Superman would save her. it's fascinating to see him interact with women and think of an explanation.

-his relationship with Superman/God

I already said before that Lex has a HUGE grief against GOD and does represent the MAN. He has grieves against God because it allowed his father to abuse him because his mother is absent (dead or gone) because maybe some terrible other things happened to him and he blamed it on God. He wants to fix the messes God did to him and therefore has to "kill" him. Very Nietzsche if you ask me émoticône smile

He relates Superman to God. He came from the sky, he has powers. He has immense powers that Lex doesn't have. Of course, in Lex mind (and he quotes Dante in the movie and makes several references to God/the devil I don't have in mind right now) Superman is a god. (although he fully knows that Superman is alien)
so he has to bring him down and defeat God. avenge himself, and become stronger than him.

He embodies humanity's attempt at becoming something more. Lex wants to transcend humanity and become more than a god, maybe A god himself? (after all, he gave birth to an abomination: Doomsday and had access to 10 000 planets knowledge)

BONUS POINT:

At the very beginning, I didn't understand the mannerism (it vanished at the end when Lex becomes aware of a BIGGER threat than Superman would ever be). He was erratic, spoke really fast, was not able to stay put until he wanted to intimidate and overpower the senator, that other old guy. he's not a social animal but he's also a big brain with A million thoughts going there. him being erratic in the way he speaks only demonstrates that he's on several levels. he's thinking too much. in the end, he's focused. why? we don't know. what's going in his mind aside from fear of Darkseid? We? we don't know. he saw something and he decided to gather his thoughts into one very simple thing which is saving Earth. (that I am sure)

because he does love Earth and people, as long as they go his way. he doesn't like people who oppose him but he did a lot of things to rebuild metropolis, and presents himself as a philanthropist. it has a purpose but I do believe he cares a little bit for Earth. at least Earth. 

He is fascinating to say the least. Borderline creepy but I liked it. There is so much more than just the weirdo. Please reconsider this character. I am aware there were a couple of issues, but I am sure it's a problem of cuts and editing. or maybe he didn't have enough scenes. but that's what I got from the scenes I sawémoticône smile

Batman V Superman: SPOILERS. Observation N°6 :BATMAN

So, like I said, I'm just going to talk about what truly caught my attention in the movie. It's just flowing as it comes to my mind so forgive the lack of expertise. You don't have to agree with me of course, it's just me trying to explain why I love that movie.

Well, Batman, I think this one would not be as detailed as the previous ones.

-Batman movie version is really one of the ones I loved the most. There were many versions of Batman in it: three I could spot on. The dark knight Batman, Batman TAS and Batman the Arkham games.

-Batman has NEVER grieved: 

He's a traumatized boy. ALWAYS! He's constantly going through a nightmare and wants to inflict it to others. (his enemies. The crooks and criminals) and himself (survivor's guilt, after all, he decided to give his all to all the fights he's doing, especially the one against Superman. it was a suicide mission of some sort although he wanted to bring him down too and prepared for it. He saw his parents die in front of him and survived this. How come he wouldn't somehow make himself pay for this? hence his violence. Hence the fact he scares everyone, even the victims he rescues. hence why he stays away from people and don't build a life. it's not so much because he's a vigilante, but because he can't allow himself to be intimate with someone. he doesn't think he deserves this. He's a survivor and shouldn't have survived his parents. (I'm not saying he should not! It's just the way I think he thinks)

He lost his parents when he was young and sought refuge in a Batcave, became the batman, and took some youngling under his wings (Robin). We don't know it yet, but I assume he was slowly starting to open himself up again with Robin's help, but he lost Robin too and his sanity slipped a little bit.

He didn't grieve. Didn't even allow himself to. Why am I saying that?

First of all, he lives not too far away from his family's mansion that went to decay and ruin. Just like his mind. just like his heart. He is devastated and dead inside (kinda). And he visits the place very often, which means that he's not letting go! The last place he goes to before he decides to go to war against Superman was the mansion. He's ready to die. I'm not saying he's a death-seeker, but he's ready. let's not forget to mention that the scene when he sees the chèques and the messages were written on it (afterthoughts it could have been Lex who did that) is the scene that pushes him off of the edge. The guilt was too much to handle.

Besides, he has a shrine dedicated to the Robin he lost. a reminder of what he lost. We don't know yet what happened but I can assume there is a lot of guilt over the death of Robin. there is anger too! there is pain and sadness of course, but Anger and guilt are overwhelming him. He's not remembering someone he lost, he's giving himself the motivation to keep doing his job and not the good one.

I have already mentioned the water thing. water = emotions. there is a lot of water around Bruce but he's not close to it. when you take a look at the Batcave, around the shrine there is a thin stream of water but it's proper, subtle, separate from him. Bruce is distancing himself from his emotions. from the pain. from grievance!

*Bruce has crossed a line/ there's some serious moral event horizon that happened twice in his Batman life.

Yes, Batman is brutal. Yes! Batman induces fear in everyone. yes! Batman brands people and somehow leads them to their deaths in prison. Batman has crossed a moral event horizon you know, and I assume it happened when Robin died! He's been Batman for about a decade or two and his method was NOT the right one since he lost poor Robin. So yes, he's jaded. Yes, he went extremely just like someone who lost someone and can't move on. Usually, they tend to destroy themselves in the process (not all of them but some of them can't overcome a loss.) he even acknowledges himself as being a criminal. He even went to war and ready to KILL Superman. Why you ask? because he can't let "Robin" happen again. he can't afford to lose anyone anymore. He can't just lock up criminals who might escape and kill more people. We don't know yet how Robin died, but if they're following the Jason Todd's storyline, I think Batman would have done just that. remember he is guilt-ridden. He's lost his humanity and became a monster. He became THE BATMAN. and it's really not a small thing.

He's not too far gone through

When he fought Clark, he reconnected with his humanity. Clark who he thought wasn't a man suddenly became a man the minute he had a human mother. It's not a coincidence authors named Bruce and Clark mothers the same. it was in order to make a parallel. Superman reached out to Bruce (not Batman but Bruce) the moment he said his mother's (their mothers) name. It forced Bruce to face his past, to face his pain, to start to grieve.

and you know Superman reached out to him at the end, when the colors are back and Bruce says 'I failed him in life, I won't fail him again." He's changed. and you can see that when he decides not to brand Lex but just warn him. Batman's been touched by Hope, hope that the world would be better and that there is another way than his own brutal self-destructive way. He was saved in a way and I was really emotional when I watched the scene. He also seems more at peace, sad yes but relieved. (he showed up at the funeral and didn't RUN AWAY. He faced his pain, he faced his sorrow, he grieved for his parents and Robin's death.

He's a new man at the end of the movie and was reborn thanks to Superman's death.

I love Batman and this narrative really works for me. émoticône heart I am so glad we can see him evolve in the movie

Bonus Points:

The fight against Doomsday wasn't really his fight, we know that. But I'd like to point out the fact that in spite of not being prepared he fought against Doomsday and confronted his own humanity and mortality. He didn't want to punish himself anymore for being a survivor. He also has switched sides. (please see my analysis of Doomsday to understand what I mean) and his views on Superman by the time of the fight émoticône smile
